The drinks weren't cold, but the chicken was. The chicken sandwich was more like a salad, with more tomato than chicken. A waste of money.

The food was a bit bland; the grilled chicken was rather dry and the fries were dripping with grease. This made the price-quality ratio poor for me.

The food was delicious, but the service could be a bit more attentive so they could sell more drinks.

We stopped there during a bike ride. The place was already in the Christmas spirit. It's a cozy and beautiful place. The service was correct, nothing more, nothing less. It was quite pricey, though.

We wanted a quick bite to eat. It was fine here. Good schnitzel and good salmon. The latter was almost overcooked, but still good.

Cozy little cafe. Delicious coffee and pastries. The downstairs restrooms were clean. A charming historic town with a pleasant square and terraces, the Anton Pieck Museum, and an old city gate.

We had a delicious lunch on the heated terrace at BANKA, with a lovely view of various buildings. BANKA'S 12 uur is definitely recommended! Although it was quite busy, the food arrived incredibly quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restrooms are spotlessly clean, but be careful with the steep, uneven stairs leading down.

📍On the square in Hattem. Small town - didn't know it. 🛎️ Friendly, but they're not very fast. 💰We found it through a social deal, so it was very affordable. €22.50 for a 3-course meal per person + 20 drinks. 🍽️ The food was exceptionally good. Exceeded expectations and the portions were huge.

The beer wasn't cold, and the veal schnitzel wasn't tender, the mushroom cream sauce was lacking, and the hamburger was still raw. The service was good. For that price, we expected better.

Heerlijk op het terras geborreld. Bediening is vlot, maar komt ook gerust wat later terug als je nog wat langer op de kaart wilt kijken. Tegen sluitingstijd gaan afrekenen, waarbij mijn man aangaf dat vrouwlief het Liefmans glas zo leuk vond. We mochten het meenemen en kregen er beide een vol flesje Liefmans bij voor aan boord. Wat een service en gastvrijheid. Een super leuke herinnering aan een gezellig terras. We komen zeker terug!!

Veluwe chicken soup... That's watery broth with some noodles, exactly 3 small pieces of chicken breast (3 mm each), 2 diced carrots, and some chopped leek sprinkled on top. Ahem... Really disappointing, and essentially a bowl of crooked nonsense for 9 euros or so.

The service was very slow, but since someone had become unwell, we completely understood. We ordered the teriyaki tenderloin. As everyone knows, teriyaki sauce is sweet. What we received, however, was sour and cloying. The vegetables were overcooked, and the tenderloin was even beyond what's described as "well done." The meat was tasteless and extremely tough. After two bites, we decided to return the meal and order the "pleaderik." This was a regrettable experience, and we are determined not to return.

Mediocre experience. I ordered a halloumi sandwich. It had three pieces of halloumi on it, ungrilled. The lettuce wasn't dressed. The whole thing was rather tasteless. Afterward, I mentioned something to the staff about the halloumi, but they didn't try to resolve it, just mumbled excuses. Paying three euros for a glass of water, even though we didn't even ask for it, makes it even worse. All in all, a very poor value for money experience. It is, however, located in a nice square.

Hattem, what a beautiful town. Enjoy the view from the terrace, admiring all the lovely old buildings and the beautifully restored church. Take a stroll or visit the Anton Pieck Museum. The Bakery Museum is also definitely worth a visit.

Today we visited Grand Café Banka for lunch. I have to say...if you want to have a nice lunch or dinner, definitely go there. Staff extremely friendly, menu is never ready on the table, fast service and, in this case the 12 o'clock lunch, excellent taste and with exactly the right quantities. Homemade soup. We eat a lot at restaurants/grand cafés and I really can't find anything in some of the comments that have been posted. On the Markt in Hattem this is number 1 for lunch, dinner or just a nice drink. Price quality is absolutely fine.

Just having a (Grolsch!) beer. Tasty nuts as a service! Even people with an ice cream from the neighbors were greeted kindly and could take a seat. That's hospitality!👍👌🌞🍺

yesterday I ordered a toasted sandwich for 9.95 euros, with cheese only, two small thin sandwiches were served with a thin slice of melted cheese, unbelievable that you dare to serve this to your customers with a straight face, now you get nice thick self-sliced ​​sandwiches and a thick layer of melted cheese served then I could say okay this is worth it (I expected that for this absurd amount) once but never again.

We were here for a 3-course dinner. To start positively; the food was delicious from start to finish! Only we had to wait a very long time for the first drink to be taken. We did get a proper apology for this. However, we never had service at the table to order our second drink, even though the glasses were already empty and we were thirsty because of the hot day. Serving the food also took quite a long time. And the restaurant (and terrace) were far from full. After hinting a few times and looking around asking where the service was coming, we only got annoyed looks from the barmaid and not even the direction of a colleague in our direction. The price of the drinks turned out to be abnormally high afterwards. For 2 glasses of ice tea you pay 8.50! By the way, the music that was played was nice. Tip for the restaurant staff: regularly walk past the tables to ask if everything is to your liking. And let your fellow hostesses walk around with a somewhat happier face while working. They all looked grumpy now with an unmotivated attitude.

Gezellig terras midden in het centrum. Echter bestel hier geen slagroom bij de appeltaart ( taart was oké ) want die stort na een minuut al in. Dit kan echt veel beter !! Ander soort spuitbus slagroom inkopen. En daar moet je dan 90 cent voor betalen …..😫 Cappuccino erg klein kopje voor €3,85…….

Disappointing experience at Banka in Hattem We had hoped for a pleasant evening out at restaurant Banka in Hattem, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The steak I ordered was way too well done, while I had clearly asked for medium. The meat was tough and dry, and had no taste at all. That actually applied to the entire meal: very boring, bland and uninspired. Little attention seemed to have been paid to the preparation or presentation. The service also left much to be desired. We were not asked if we wanted something else to drink and no one came to check if the food was to our liking. In addition, ordering took a very long time. For the price you pay, you really should expect more. All in all a disappointment. We will not be coming back here again.

Had dinner here with my mother today! We started with a delicious tomato and chicken soup, which was really delicious and the vegetables were wonderfully fresh. Main course we both had a Hamburger, it tasted really delicious, super generous, think at least 150G of meat with delicious fries. we finished with a Banka coupe ice cream. this was also very generous, 3 scoops of ice cream with lots of fresh fruit and a delicious strawberry sauce. I will definitely go here again! I really enjoyed it and the people were all very friendly and nice

Bediening en gerechten prima. Maar de nota viel erg tegen. Er werden forse meerprijzen berekend bij de social deal (er was wel aangekondigd dat er een lijstje was, maar je mocht overal uit kiezen en we hadden geen heel dure gerechten, dus je verwacht dat dat om uitzonderingen gaat) en de drankjes zijn heel prijzig.

We were here to rent the back room, which is possible, but... they cannot separate the music in the back from the front, the owners did not want that. Too bad and a bit incompetent. Can be solved with 1 switch on the front. Says nothing in terms of food, service or atmosphere.

Went here for dinner with the family, booked for ourselves via social deal, children's menu for children. Friendly service by a young lady, the other was a bit surly. Drinks (soft) are very pricey at €4 for a small bottle, and the food portions are not large either. Price/Quality is also out of proportion with social deal, let alone without it.

Wat er als lunch dan wordt voorgeschoteld was een boeren tosti die negens op leek ,volledig mislukt. Prijs ver over de tot voor dit mislukte product van een inferieure kwaliteit. Schaam je.

*You could feel cheated* When you stop there during a bike ride, order coffee with apple pie + whipped cream (2*), then get a flattened apple pie - like from Lidl, usually quite manageable - with artificial cream from a spray can instead of whipped cream (you run a restaurant, right?), then you don't expect to pay almost €20. Ouch, if only I had read the reviews earlier... and unfortunately they are true. It is a nicely decorated restaurant and unfortunately that's where it ends. The food is not commensurate with the price. Sparse, not beautifully presented and simply not tasty. I've never given a bad review about a restaurant, but this was such a disappointment that I had to say something about it...

Had a great time at BANKA. Fantastic atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant, friendly and professional staff and the food was Good with a capital G. Definitely recommended for people with taste and recommend visiting this Café on quiet days for the best experience. The price was pleasant compared to the quality. Will definitely come back if I end up in beautiful Hattem.

Banka is a place where it is almost impossible to leave in the same good mood as you came with. The apple pie was decent, although small and with fake whipped cream. For 2x pastries and 2x cappuccino we paid € 19.90, the top of the market, but hey, we are in Hattem, not Paris. But that's not the worst part. That's the staff. The situation with their service orientation is dramatic. Four people huddled together at the bar with no attention to the guests. Slow, absent, grumpy faces. After fifteen minutes no one had come to our table. We then went to the bar ourselves to ask if we could order something. That was allowed! Yeah!! But not a smile or kind word could be missed. Without a word, the coffee and pastries were plopped onto our table. Paying again brought the same amount of inertia, if not more. We left in dead silence. Only after an emphatic 'goodbye and have a nice day' on our part did some barely audible mumbling return. If you also have a coffee maker at home, there is no reason to visit this shop. Young man, young ladies, find a job that you enjoy. Plenty of work and... smile!
