I cycled to Hattem on my road bike and had coffee at Banka. A delicious cappuccino. Banka is located on a charming square with a large terrace. The interior is also nicely decorated. Friendly staff and tasty pastries.

Had a nice meal. Portions weren't very big, but that actually made them just right. Friendly staff.

After waiting for fifteen minutes, we just got up. It's a shame that you then also get a remark from the manager, who wasn't exactly customer-friendly.

Nice, atmospheric place, but way too expensive for what you get. A fine beefburger with some cheese and lettuce in a bun and fries with mayo from a paper container for 25 euros. A compact, overcooked, and too thick schnitzel with plain lettuce, a tomato, and fries with mayo from a paper container for... yes, you read that right, 32 euros... Both way too expensive, then. We did get a cola and coffee for free, though, because the complaint about the dry schnitzel was known... So, not recommended.

We came here to eat with 7 people and mentioned that someone has an allergy. Unfortunately, this allergy was not taken into account, with all the resulting consequences. We also mentioned this to the waiter, but they did not offer a solution or a different plate that did accommodate the allergy. The others indicated that the food was flavorful but on the meager side.

We ate here via Social Deal. For the price you pay via Social Deal, the value for money is reasonable and we had a fine meal. However, when I look at the regular prices the restaurant charges, I find the quality of the food lags behind. For those prices, I would clearly expect more. With a Social Deal, it is fine as far as I'm concerned, but at the regular price, I find it substandard. Also, the toilet brush in the men's restroom is mounted in a peculiar place.

Completely ignored by the waitstaff outside, and when I walked over to the lady, she turned around with her nose in the air to help another table. I immediately walked away and sat down next to her, and was served perfectly well there despite the crowds at the flea market.

Surprise Menu. Starter; Tasty, and we were looking forward to the main course. Main course; Not good, meat dry, rice too, and also without sauce. Absolutely no experience. Dessert; ice cream, adequate. There were 5 of us, and I pointed out that the meat was particularly dry and overcooked. The answer was "sorry," and that was all we got. I mentioned it again when paying the bill, but here too the only answer was "yes, sorry." All 5 people left dissatisfied; we won't be coming back here.

The meat was raw, there were red pieces in it, there were chunks in the ice, and my tomato soup was not strained. The staff were poor; they didn't even bother to ask if everything was okay or if it was tasty. The service was truly awful.

We had a really good meal; the steak was overcooked (well done) the first time, but it was resolved perfectly afterwards.

Nice place to sit and unwind. It is just a shame that the service isn't always very attentive. No coasters under the drinks, no ice cubes in the sparkling water with the second order, wrong beer order delivered, wrong order heard when ordering bar snacks? After that, the service seemed a bit agitated. I was here yesterday and the day before; the older waitress was incredibly nice and polite and did her best to make it as pleasant as possible for every guest. Hats off, especially in this temperature. Using the toilet: older people need to be very careful; steep dark stairs down and toilet floors are soaking wet, making it easy to slip. They came to ask where I had left the other water bowl for the dog. I had taken it to other people sitting on the terrace with a dog. The dog owners are gone, but the bowl is still under the table where the people were sitting. It seemed as if the staff were afraid that I would want to take the dog's water bowl with me. Absolutely not, we have our own stuff for the dog!

The carpaccio as a starter was fine but nothing special. The schnitzel as a main course was downright bad and had nothing to do with schnitzel. Just a bad piece of meat with a weird breading around it. We weren't even asked if we enjoyed it, so when I mentioned myself that it wasn't a very good schnitzel, the response was, "Oh, what a shame." For dessert, a lava cake, but the center wasn't liquid. The mushrooms as a starter were tasty, but none of the other dishes our party had were very special either. Not worth repeating.

Ate there via Social Deal. That makes it affordable. The food was good, the service friendly. A bit lacking in atmosphere inside, though. They have the nerve to charge 4.50 for a Rivella... So I'm principled and only have one. Even though I would have had three otherwise. Well, expensive doesn't always mean more profitable..... They're just like politicians: they don't quite get it.

We felt like grabbing a quick bite to eat at Banka. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The bread roll beforehand was also tasty. But when we received the main course, we were immediately disappointed. My partner had the veal schnitzel, but upon arrival, it was immediately obvious that it had been deep-fried. When we cut it open, it became completely clear. Deep-fried way too hard, very dry, and greasy in taste. I had the surf and turf. Upon arrival of the dish, it looked as if my meat hadn't been fried at all, but rather cooked in the oven or in a reheat bath. It was a bit light grey on the outside. This really detracted from the taste. After half-eating it and being asked if everything was to our liking, we pointed out all of the above. When we got up to pay, the waiter who served us only wished us a pleasant evening and gave no feedback on the food. This is, of course, very unfortunate! All in all, we simply spent €88.

This morning, I had coffee with my husband and son in the beautiful historic town of Hattem. We wanted a hazelnut latte; the coffee was very tasty, but unfortunately, we couldn't taste the hazelnut. The pastries were also delicious. The hazelnut meringue cake, however, seemed to have been sitting out a bit, but the taste was fine. All in all, it was a real treat, and we will definitely be back 👍

We had a delicious meal; my dining companion liked the Caesar Salad a little less. Nice atmosphere, not too noisy even though it was full. Friendly staff. And it is so nice to see a place that also caters to people with reduced mobility, for example those in a wheelchair. Plenty of space for everyone and accessible. The terrace looks cozy too.

It's nice that something is open in Hattem on Monday after all, but next time we'll bring our own sandwiches. The sandwiches are too fancy and the quality leaves much to be desired. The salmon was fine, but buried under a load of lettuce and heaps of sauce, so you can't taste the salmon anymore. The chicken sandwich wasn't much better. Not enough chicken and the bread was too dry. We won't be coming back here.

What a disappointment! The flambée was completely undercooked and, after sending it back, still disgusting and soggy instead of fresh and crispy. How hard can it be?! If you don't understand it, don't serve it. Such a shame; don't eat there because it's a waste of your positive energy, time, and money.

A nice place to warm up after a cold bike ride. Enjoyed good coffee and delicious apple strudel. But on January 19th, the shop was still full of Christmas decorations... probably didn't have time to tidy up yet. Which I understand with a shop like this.

After a jewelry-making workshop in Zwolle, we drove to BANKA Hattem for a Social Deal lunch to celebrate our (as frequent as possible) family day. Delicious fresh soups with white sourdough bread and generously filled sandwiches. The prices for drinks and desserts are a bit high, but of course, you're responsible for that.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Hattem. We had delicious coffee and farmhouse cake here yesterday.

I recently ate here, and the staff seemed bothered by our questions about the menu. They seemed in a hurry and at one point were mostly busy on the phone. The menus could use a change; my fiancé's was completely peeling off and covered in stains. I think this gives it a dirty and unhygienic look. The fried mushrooms appetizer was mostly cream; I had two half mushrooms in it. The pasta Carbonara was fine. The burger wasn't anything to write home about; the meat had a very strange, grimy texture. My partner didn't feel well after it that same evening either. All in all, I won't be returning.

The drinks weren't cold, but the chicken was. The chicken sandwich was more like a salad, with more tomato than chicken. A waste of money.

The food was a bit bland; the grilled chicken was rather dry and the fries were dripping with grease. This made the price-quality ratio poor for me.

We had a delicious lunch on the heated terrace at BANKA, with a lovely view of various buildings. BANKA'S 12 uur is definitely recommended! Although it was quite busy, the food arrived incredibly quickly. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restrooms are spotlessly clean, but be careful with the steep, uneven stairs leading down.

The beer wasn't cold, and the veal schnitzel wasn't tender, the mushroom cream sauce was lacking, and the hamburger was still raw. The service was good. For that price, we expected better.

A very nice terrace, but the order takes a very long time

Heerlijk op het terras geborreld. Bediening is vlot, maar komt ook gerust wat later terug als je nog wat langer op de kaart wilt kijken. Tegen sluitingstijd gaan afrekenen, waarbij mijn man aangaf dat vrouwlief het Liefmans glas zo leuk vond. We mochten het meenemen en kregen er beide een vol flesje Liefmans bij voor aan boord. Wat een service en gastvrijheid. Een super leuke herinnering aan een gezellig terras. We komen zeker terug!!

Veluwe chicken soup... That's watery broth with some noodles, exactly 3 small pieces of chicken breast (3 mm each), 2 diced carrots, and some chopped leek sprinkled on top. Ahem... Really disappointing, and essentially a bowl of crooked nonsense for 9 euros or so.

Just had dinner with the social deal, the food was very tasty, the service was very friendly, we really enjoyed it, it was worth coming by. TOP 👍

The service was very slow, but since someone had become unwell, we completely understood. We ordered the teriyaki tenderloin. As everyone knows, teriyaki sauce is sweet. What we received, however, was sour and cloying. The vegetables were overcooked, and the tenderloin was even beyond what's described as "well done." The meat was tasteless and extremely tough. After two bites, we decided to return the meal and order the "pleaderik." This was a regrettable experience, and we are determined not to return.

Mediocre experience. I ordered a halloumi sandwich. It had three pieces of halloumi on it, ungrilled. The lettuce wasn't dressed. The whole thing was rather tasteless. Afterward, I mentioned something to the staff about the halloumi, but they didn't try to resolve it, just mumbled excuses. Paying three euros for a glass of water, even though we didn't even ask for it, makes it even worse. All in all, a very poor value for money experience. It is, however, located in a nice square.

Hattem, what a beautiful town. Enjoy the view from the terrace, admiring all the lovely old buildings and the beautifully restored church. Take a stroll or visit the Anton Pieck Museum. The Bakery Museum is also definitely worth a visit.

Today we visited Grand Café Banka for lunch. I have to say...if you want to have a nice lunch or dinner, definitely go there. Staff extremely friendly, menu is never ready on the table, fast service and, in this case the 12 o'clock lunch, excellent taste and with exactly the right quantities. Homemade soup. We eat a lot at restaurants/grand cafés and I really can't find anything in some of the comments that have been posted. On the Markt in Hattem this is number 1 for lunch, dinner or just a nice drink. Price quality is absolutely fine.

Just having a (Grolsch!) beer. Tasty nuts as a service! Even people with an ice cream from the neighbors were greeted kindly and could take a seat. That's hospitality!👍👌🌞🍺

yesterday I ordered a toasted sandwich for 9.95 euros, with cheese only, two small thin sandwiches were served with a thin slice of melted cheese, unbelievable that you dare to serve this to your customers with a straight face, now you get nice thick self-sliced ​​sandwiches and a thick layer of melted cheese served then I could say okay this is worth it (I expected that for this absurd amount) once but never again.

We were here for a 3-course dinner. To start positively; the food was delicious from start to finish! Only we had to wait a very long time for the first drink to be taken. We did get a proper apology for this. However, we never had service at the table to order our second drink, even though the glasses were already empty and we were thirsty because of the hot day. Serving the food also took quite a long time. And the restaurant (and terrace) were far from full. After hinting a few times and looking around asking where the service was coming, we only got annoyed looks from the barmaid and not even the direction of a colleague in our direction. The price of the drinks turned out to be abnormally high afterwards. For 2 glasses of ice tea you pay 8.50! By the way, the music that was played was nice. Tip for the restaurant staff: regularly walk past the tables to ask if everything is to your liking. And let your fellow hostesses walk around with a somewhat happier face while working. They all looked grumpy now with an unmotivated attitude.

Disappointing experience at Banka in Hattem We had hoped for a pleasant evening out at restaurant Banka in Hattem, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The steak I ordered was way too well done, while I had clearly asked for medium. The meat was tough and dry, and had no taste at all. That actually applied to the entire meal: very boring, bland and uninspired. Little attention seemed to have been paid to the preparation or presentation. The service also left much to be desired. We were not asked if we wanted something else to drink and no one came to check if the food was to our liking. In addition, ordering took a very long time. For the price you pay, you really should expect more. All in all a disappointment. We will not be coming back here again.
