Once you sit at the bar here, it is almost certain that you will walk out again around closing time. The café has a radio studio where broadcasting usually takes place in the evening. That makes it all very atmospheric. The bartenders also always look great (I especially mean the pink ties). I've been here twice now and I really think it's a great place. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely grab a beer there.

I actually don't go there enough, because this is pretty much the only real café in Waalwijk where there is a pleasant atmosphere and you always feel welcome.

Brown cafés are a rarity in the nightlife in 2016, especially in Waalwijk. But they are still there. 't Spykerke is an example of family tradition where people come not only to see each other again but also to get to know each other for the first time. A café where the bartender not only knows what's going on in the village but also knows his guests. Customers don't come there; everyone is a guest. Not only for a 'drink' but also a Burgundian snack (good frikandels or delicious Burgundian bitterballen to name but a few) At the bar or more privately at a table by the window; a spot is easily found. Larger groups are also very welcome at the regular table. The smoker has also been taken into account; a separate smoking area is available. In addition, I think this is also the only café in the world with a real working and operational radio studio. In the summer months there is a terrace in front of the door.

Going out in Waalwijk is really possible! Café 't Spykerke is located on the edge of the center, cozy and cozy and they serve a delicious beer in the right size. Patron Gert van Helvoirt is always willing to have a chat and he also provides the music between acts. If you don't appreciate the Toppers then you have a problem... ;-)
