Cafe the bottom in Wijk 01 Emmeloord

So..... This is the third time I am trying to visite this place. In my youth this was the place to go for all standard people, a thing which is highly appreciated in a rural area... This was during the 90s..... Nowadays I tried multiple timeS to enter this establishment.... It was a disappointment!! One time we where aggressively encountered by some polish people!? We tried a second time,, we where not able to have a conversation, though we where within the time limit.... Sad excuse for a good time, I'm sorry, farrest excuse for a professional bar! Don't go!

You can have a good time getting together with friends

Great place, nice atmosphere, nice music, but there is one minus: even if you buy a ticket and go outside after 1 a.m., they won't let you in.

I used to come here weekly between 2015 and 2020. Back then, I would have given it 4 stars. But since the previous owner changed due to bankruptcy during the coronavirus pandemic, The Bottom is no longer what it used to be. New people have moved in (I don't know most of them, while that was the case before). The policy and the type of business have changed. When I realized this shortly beforehand (as a regular at the time) and voiced criticism (gave my opinion bluntly), it immediately resulted in a 5-year written ban. To be blunt, they don't tolerate contradiction or dissenting opinions. I even needed a lawyer and a summons to get the ban lifted. To be clear, I was there for 5 years, sometimes even clearing glasses without obligation (so I helped). My social circle had built up there, but unfortunately, nothing remains of that. Fortunately, I now enjoy going out in the far north (Groningen) because in Emmeloord, there's no competition in the nightlife anymore, unlike before.

There was a band from Espel playing, the guitarist was at his best and that singer can sing almost as HIGH as Dan Hartman with n,r:Relite my fire, great, the drummer and keyboardist could play really tight drums and the man from Drenthe is just a old hand in his profession bass player very top a 9, plus for the whole band which everyone enjoyed was really necessary in Emmeloord which is a bad city compared to other cities!!! Leuk om uit te gaan maar te kleine ruimte en vaak erg rustig

Altijd gezellige kroeg, voor jong en oud.

Het is hier altijd erg gezellig door de week en in het weekend is er regelmatig een feestje

Supergezellige kroeg met uiterst vriendelijk personeel.

Gezellig om in donkere tijden een donker biertje te drinken🍻

Super knusse, gezellige tent de bediening was vlot en aardig. Je kunt een half menu kiezen indien je meerdere dingen wilt proeven! Daar natuurlijk gebruik van gemaakt dus 2 heerlijke menu's gegeten!! Goed eten voor een mooie prijs! Voor herhaling vatbaar. Mijn complimenten voor jullie allen 👍
