Café Welcome in Wijk 00 Alphen

"Welkom" is henceforth called "Happy Alphen", with Frans and Anke as hosts.

Welcome was always good, in November there will be a new owner in Frans and Anke from the tavern at our home, we will eat there for many hours, good luck Frans and Anke and see you in November. It will now be called Hapy, it has been taken over by Frans and Anke, it will become a nice and cozy cafe, an asset to Alphen

Closed for some time now for unknown reasons, despite no mention of it online or on Google. Open by appointment only...it says so on the door.

"Out-of-date" establishment, where the over-age represents both the establishment itself and (with the exception of a few) the staff. From now on we will cycle a little further.

The order was taken after 20 minutes. The food didn't come, so after half an hour I asked...forgot. This can happen, but resolve it properly. Looking grumpy and giving a small fries instead of the actual order is not a good solution.

Cozy cafe, service is not as long as you have to wait for your food, but the taste makes up for it and the price is also reasonable

Delicious coffee and a delicious piece of home-baked apple pie. It was a nice cozy cafe with a row of rows for a cup of coffee. Very homely and friendly.

A catering facility right next to the cycle route on the "Belslijntje". Unfortunately we couldn't sit in the shade. Due to a lack of staff, a large part of the terrace was unavailable.

I ate a delicious piece of baguette and my cousin a super large and delicious egg roll. We are certainly not the smallest, but we were able to "sit" on the terrace.

A real old-fashioned village café with fair prices and casual, friendly service. The terrace is located on the cycle route "Belslijntje". Beautiful area for cycling in the Brabant countryside. Still great.

Village café, where the village can still escape when they have finished with cappuccino, carpaccio and stuffed peas on a bed of candied chicken. Here you have a drink and if you order a sausage, you also have something. Fine cuisine, simply delicious. Readable and therefore recognisably delicious. Of course, Welcome has a daily menu. You have to do something, right? Playground with 2 fences. Gate closed, children playing. Getting married or divorced (not on one day, that's a hassle) beautiful hall. As a cyclist I was pleasantly surprised...Bels line...(Never reached Bels by the way)

Stopped here during our cycle route, for something to drink. Conveniently covered part of the terrace with a large party tent. Unfortunately, the tables were not cleaned and there was still empty crockery everywhere. So it didn't look clean. They ran quickly to serve, but it was too busy for the 2 people doing this.

Cup of coffee with delicious apple pie, neatly served, etc. Also enjoyed a nice beer on the return trip!

Ordered coffee and apple pie as a casual passer-by. Coffee was good, apple pie tasty. On a warm Sunday on the terrace, where there was hardly any smoking. Lots of cyclists, especially because of the Bels line. Satisfied.

Yesterday, April 28, 2014, I went for a bike ride with my wife. Passed by here and decided to take a break. We were received very kindly and provided with all the information. And then the prices, where can you find a delicious cup of coffee for 1 euro? Or a 3-course dinner for 12.50!!! We will definitely come back here, even though we don't live nearby. Gerda and Guus.
