Cozy and fun location. Great staff. Definitely going back!!

A while ago, we sat on the terrace at Dennenoord, a beautiful spot by the water, and it's a wonderful place to sit. However, the staff is incredibly slow, and you have to actively approach them to order something, for example. That's not quite right. The surroundings make up for it. Today, after an autumn walk, we sat inside. We were completely ignored, and after about 10 or 15 minutes, the waitress came around, but she skipped us. I initially thought she would be back. Then she went and chatted at a table and said she'd just been around to take orders. That's why we left. It's truly disappointing, and I've experienced this poor service here several times now.

A wonderful, authentic Dutch breakfast experience! This charming restaurant, tucked away in a calm area, offers a truly traditional Holland feeling. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I ordered the omelette with cheese and salmon and a cappuccino, and I must say the omelette was the best I've ever had, every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh and organic. The cappuccino was also excellent, made with very fresh coffee. Highly recommended if you're looking for a genuine Dutch breakfast.

A lovely terrace by the Ijzeren Man lake, on the edge of the woods. You can always order delicious coffee or tea with a slice of pie, perfect after a lovely walk through the woods, a bike ride, or a workout. It's also a great venue for parties and celebrations. There's also a small playground for the little ones and a trampoline for the slightly older kids. Ample parking is also available.

We had a delicious lunch, but we had to wait a very long time for our food. After a while, the lovely shady spot turned into full sun. There were no umbrellas at our spots, closest to the water. Friendly service, reasonable prices.

The food was pie, but that was excellent, as was the cappuccino. After a while, we continued our bike ride, but it's definitely worth a visit.

Extensive beer menu, food is well taken care of for a ditto price. Nice terrace on the water. After a walk a beer with snack. (Flammkuchen is excellent for a normal price). Always good here.

Nice terrace but not suitable for lunch. Nothing interesting on the menu. Our dishes were insufficient and overpriced. Sandwich with sour meat turned out to be a jar of sauce with 1 piece of meat after a long search. In addition, a sandwich with very little herb butter, namely 2 green dots. Not very attentive service. Didn't really look at us. Ordered drinks were not delivered. Yet not busy at all.

During our visit we were not greeted, only directly addressed functionally: "Would you like something to drink?" My girlfriend was greeted, I was completely ignored. That difference did not feel like a coincidence. Such manners do not make you feel welcome, but tolerated. If multiple employees radiate this, it says something about the atmosphere. Too bad, because it could have been different.

The view and terrace are fantastic. The acoustics are poorer inside. A lot of and hard sound from other tables, that's a shame. For a snack and nibble it is completely good, don't expect a meal. The ordered fruit vegetable salad A 9.50 was a mini container with mayonnaise and some seder ice cream. The tiger shrimp in garlic A 9.50 unfortunately also turned out to be a tapas container with oil and floating small shrimps. Very unfortunate but still, the place and the atmosphere is great, including the Bier trial package.

On a sunny Easter morning we decided to have a drink after a walk in the woods with our family. "Please wait here" is written on the sign at the entrance. Good as we are, we did this, while several people overtook us and simply grabbed a spot in the sun. Two staff members walked across the terrace, while it was quite quiet. Both didn't look at us, were more concerned with cleaning up than welcoming people. After waiting for a few minutes, without having had any contact from a staff member, I chose a spot and sat down. That's what everyone did. I think we sat at a table for 15 minutes, staff walked past us several times, still no 'hello' or 'welcome'. Finally we decided to get up and leave. I honestly don't think anyone noticed. Very bad and such a shame. Such a beautiful spot on the water with a nice playground, but there doesn't seem to be any staff present who knows how to run a catering industry.

What a wonderful place to stay. Delicious snacks. Delicious beers and wine. But especially the friendliness of the staff and owner. Time for a small chat and you can see the staff enjoying providing guests with a pleasant afternoon or evening. We are fans. 🤗👌

The visit to Dennenoord is an experience in itself. Yes, we had read beforehand that it was no longer possible to have an extensive dinner here and that the menu now mainly consisted of fries and snacks. The service was extremely friendly. What we did not expect, however, is that the ordered (starter and main course) arrived at the table at the same time. So to keep things from getting cold, I ate a bite of everything. What was also surprising was that the flammkuchen was served with crème frache, bacon and mature cheese on top. There will certainly be people who like this. But in my opinion it is a shame for such a beautiful product. Afterwards the meal ended with an ice cream from the hand. There must have been a good reason why the current owner changed the menu so drastically. I hope this was a good choice for him. Fortunately, the special beers have remained.

Nice place to have a drink with very friendly staff. Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to have lunch and dinner here. It's nice that the terrace downstairs is finally open to the public again. The view over the water here is very beautiful.

A sign in front of the terrace that the terrace is full due to lack of capacity ????? There are 3 people walking around on a terrace that is 75% full. Then standing in front of the sign for more than 5 minutes and being completely ignored before being addressed????? I've been here many times and always 100% satisfaction, but this time it was particularly disappointing.

Second year in a row here, from the campsite. Last year it was wonderful to relax on the terrace while the boys enjoyed themselves in the playground. This year inside on a Saturday evening with a casual atmosphere where you dare to put a card with kids while waiting for the starter. Not unimportant: a nice beer menu! And we also enjoyed both main courses. Staff are also very friendly which puts an icing on the cake.

My daughter's wedding was there, nothing was too much, different food for my youngest daughter, no problem, it was also thought through and done for my other daughter, great plus, beautiful location and friendly service RECOMMENDED!!@

On a sunny Sunday. In spring and the terrace is closed? Does this place want to go bankrupt or something?

On our cycling route we came across this establishment and we happened to be thirsty.😉 Got off, locked the bikes and walked to the terrace. There were plenty of empty tables there. The lady on duty looked a bit confused at us, because we had not made a reservation. Excuse me, we said, that's difficult when you're planning a bike tour. When we mentioned that we were not coming to eat, but just to have a drink, it turned out that there was still a table available for 30 minutes. Although we were served very friendly and with a cheerful comment🤭 by another lady, making a reservation does detract a bit from this cozy terrace.

Beautiful cafe and terrace with a wide choice of specialty beers, 8 on tap. It was nice and busy and pleasant. Tasting with snacks is highly recommended. There are many hiking opportunities in the area.

Great find close to where we were staying. The spareribs I ordered were the best I have EVER had. Hats off to the chefs. The wait staff was attentive and entertaining. We had such a good time. I highly recommend it.

This resort is located on one of the most beautiful water and nature locations in the region. The Iron Man. Well and comfortably furnished with very special furniture. Beautiful view over the water with all kinds of activities and lined with a fantastic green area in multiple shades of color. Good price-quality ratio with a wide choice of food and drinks. An absolute.

Well taken care of Friendly staff Prices are normal

I love this location, but: The last three times I visited this restaurant, I did so specifically to let family or friends experience the wonderful atmosphere on the lake. Each of the three times the restaurant closed off the best part of the seating area and allowed no exceptions to its very conservative mentality. Even after I explained to them (three times) that my family had come far and that we really wanted to share their nice restaurant with them, it was almost as if the waiter was not interested and did not want to try to make a plan to accommodate us (which is not a great trait of hospitality, but to be expected in this country). Although I like to come here often, I definitely won't be taking visitors to this location again as it always ends in disappointment. The first time we had to sit at the back and look at the road. The second time, even though the entire lower section was open, they wouldn't take us in because a wedding was starting 4 hours later (we would have been there for an hour at the longest). The third time we were on the top level even though everything below was empty. How can you be like that without insight and not market your best area for better business? It has the best location, it's a few feet away, it doesn't take much effort to make a few pillows available, and it opens up your business to more customers. Business 101: "Never show away business if you don't have to". It does not make any sense. The service itself is average, but in the end the job gets done.

On a busy saturday in June The restaurant staff was incredibly helpful and understanding when my group had to leave before our order was ready due to the weak health of one of the diners. Despite the fact that we had already placed our orders and the kitchen was preparing our food, the staff quickly accommodated our request to cancel the order and were very sympathetic to our situation. The manager who was came to our table was especially kind and considerate, and even offered cancell our order free of charge. As we still needed to eat I asked her to pack up our food to-go so that we could take it with us and enjoy it later. She made sure that we were all okay and even offered some advice on what we could do to make our friend feel better. It was clear that the restaurant staff's main focus was on making sure that our group was comfortable and taken care of, even if it meant losing out on a sale. Their kindness and understanding during a stressful and difficult situation was greatly appreciated and made us feel valued as customers. Overall, I was impressed with the level of care and attention that the restaurant staff showed towards our group, and would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a welcoming and compassionate dining experience.
