The Spanish waitress was very friendly but rushed and forgetful. She spoke incomprehensibly fast, slashing English. Our gluten-free bread, which we brought ourselves, was made for another customer, and we were offered a drink as an excuse when we paid. Well, then we had to leave.

We really liked the place and the service, especially from Carlos. He also helped us find places to eat here in Amsterdam, which is much appreciated when you're visiting from abroad. The food was very, very good. The pasta was particularly noteworthy—perfectly cooked and delicious.

One of the greatest experiences I've had in Amsterdam. The hospitality was phenomenal. I love the ambiance and the energy that the waitresses displayed and it made such a wonderful night. The bolognese was amazing and so was the pizza. Thank you for the recommendations and hopefully we'll come back when I'm in Amsterdam.

The food is delicious & comforting - with an open kitchen in a very unique building! The staff is passionated and makes you feel as if you’re part of the family. We even did a limoncello shot with them at the bar at the end of the shift. Def worth a visit! PS: Try the cauliflour snacks as appetizer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I've been twice. Once as a couple, and once with a large group of 10. Both times, the service was impeccable, fast, and attentive. Good wine, delicious cocktails. For a pasta lover like me, this is always my favorite, and you won't be disappointed.

Bar Lusconi is a great place! I really enjoyed it. We ordered a Margherita pizza and a beef pasta – both were delicious and freshly prepared. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Kudos to the chefs and the waitstaff for their fantastic work. I'll definitely be back!

What a cozy atmosphere, good service and above all, delicious food.

Enjoyed the entire evening, from the most delicious burrata to the fluffiness of the focaccia to the hostess' glasses! A great place for small or large groups, and the staff knows what they're doing!

The service was friendly, but the pizzas were very soggy (a shame, otherwise they would have been delicious) and the tiramisu was simply something someone in the kitchen had done by putting two ladyfingers in a bowl, pouring a white blob over them, and then immediately serving it. So, the ladyfingers were hard and didn't let them set. Really strange.

There were six of us for a late dinner. We were greeted promptly and seated quickly. But then things really went wrong. The beer tap we were seated at wasn't working. We'd put our credit on the table, but there was no way any beer would come out. Another colleague of yours said, "Oh yeah, but they only serve events, and it's broken." I think something went wrong there. We moved to another table, and again had to wait a long time for our drinks. (Over 45 minutes in total, and there were only six beers...) We finally got them on the house after we asked for them. I thought the pizzas were terrible. They were incredibly soggy, and I couldn't even pick them up to take a bite. My scissors, which I was supposed to use to cut the pizza, fell apart. The serving process wasn't perfect either, but I didn't feel like complaining about that. One person had pasta, and the portions were really small... too small. The atmosphere was really nice, but too much went wrong at our table. To put it bluntly: A pretty face, little substance.

Barlusconi always serves the best pizza! The service is excellent, and it’s definitely my favourite pizza spot in Amsterdam.

Update: Thank you for your reply to my review and for your apology. I appreciate that you took the time to respond. However, I must be honest. I left your restaurant with the impression that this type of situation was not being taken seriously. The waitress who served me the pizza and took my payment apologized for the situation even before I explained what happened or how I felt. Which makes it clear she was aware of this man’s behavior while it was happening. Yet no one intervened to support me or to ensure that I could enjoy my dinner in peace. For me, the most upsetting part of this experience was not only the harassment itself, but also the lack of action from the staff once it was evident that I was uncomfortable. This left me feeling unsafe and unsupported as a guest. I hope you will reflect on this and take measures to ensure that your staff is prepared and willing to step in immediately if a customer is being harassed. This would make a meaningful difference in protecting your guests. ----------- I had a very unpleasant experience at Bar Lusconi last Sunday. I went there alone for dinner, but before my pizza even arrived, a man sat down next to me with a drink. His clothing had the same colors as the restaurant’s uniform, so I assumed he worked there. I asked him politely to leave me alone, but he refused. I had to insist several times, and when my pizza was served, I even looked at the waitress hoping she would intervene, but she did nothing. The man continued to bother me despite me raising my voice and telling him clearly that I wanted to eat alone. After some time, he finally left, but by then I had lost my appetite. I ate only a couple of slices, asked for the rest to go, and requested the bill. When paying, the waitress apologized and claimed the man does not work there, saying he was just someone who comes often and that they always have to ask him to leave. However, I had seen him hugging another waitress earlier, and she did not seem uncomfortable with it. This made me feel like I was being lied to. Overall, it was an extremely uncomfortable and upsetting experience. No staff member intervened when I was clearly being harassed, and instead, I felt completely unsupported. Because of this, I will not be returning to Bar Lusconi.

I can only congratulate you on this bar dedicated to the greatest Italian of all time.

Great food, good atmosphere and lovely service!!

The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff compensate somewhat for the quality and prices of the food, but you don't have to go there for real Italian food, and it's not really accessible for the small budget either.

The service was wonderful, the staff knows how to deal with customer expectations like few other places. Good food, very pleasant outdoor seating for hot days. Tiramisu was very fluffy and delicious.

We live in the neighbourhood and this used to be our go-to to sit by the fire at least twice a week in wintertimes (if not more), as they had an awesome fireplace and atmosphere which they replaced with just.... a table and chairs. We were and are very sad that they took it out but alas, we went for pizza to give Bar Lusconi a shot. Was not a good idea. Pizzas were burnt, small and expensive. Plus the place has nothing unique about it anymore... Now it's just one of the five pizza places with too expensive crappy pizza. Very sad development for a very cool place, sorry for the bad review but we had to say something at least. Please owners, bring back the vibes!!

Nice terrace. Friendly, chaotic service, but poor price-quality ratio. Not great Italian food at highway-robbery, Amsterdam Centrum prices. After two small glasses of so-so house wine and waiting for three mediocre slices of bruschetta for 23 (!) euros, we decided to cut our losses and go have a 5 star pizza on the Postjesweg.

What a fantastic find! Bar Lusconi is a cozy and authentic Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious — from the fresh pastas to the perfect pizzas, every dish is full of flavor and clearly made with care. The staff are warm, friendly, and make you feel right at home. Great selection of wines and cocktails too. It’s the kind of place where you want to stay a little longer, enjoy good company, and savor every bite. Can’t wait to visit again!

Pros: the food was good, staff were friendly, and it was nice to sit outside under the umbrellas next to the water jets. Cons: management woefully under scheduled for a Saturday, leaving staff scrambling. Judging by the (actual) hour and a half it took us to get two cold sandwiches, and other tables sending food back, I think some tickets got lost or mixed up in the chaos. Staff were trying their very best, but it definitely wasn't an enjoyable experience.

Waiting an hour for your first drink is inexplicable in any way!

We went to eat at this place attracted by the name and the fact that we had met the waitress, very nice, the night before. The place inside is very simple but nice, with a very Instagrammable swing. The pizza chefs are mostly Italian, the pizza is good, not extraordinary but definitely one of the best you can find in Amsterdam. The place is a bit out of the way, 20 minutes by Uber from the center.

Slow to deliver menu's, forgot to input one of the drinks in the order, food sat waiting for server to deliver to us for 5 minutes as server was having dinner with no replacement. Couldn't get any attention to pay bill. Went up to the bar after losing patience.

Honestly was surprised by their food. It was really nice to have a good pizza and pasta. Also their dessert was good! But I felt bad because I could see that the whole place was very under-staffed. But regardless the servers were very nice to us. Will def come back since we live in the neighborhood:)

What a lovely surprise :) the waiters were very sweet and attentive and the pizzas were great, I tried the truffle one. There is something about the lighting that doesn’t feel cozy though, especially in the middle. Maybe that can be improved.

We were huge fans of Cafe Zurich and whilst the interior design is different at Bar Lusconi, food is delicious and staff is friendly. Continues to be one of the best terraces in Amsterdam West.

Really a great company! Hannah and Tiger in particular are incredible performers! You will find real hospitality here! The pitchers are well priced and of good quality!

We stopped by for lunch and drinks on a Friday afternoon. The vibe was a bit empty. Service was ok- slow and not particularly friendly or enthusiastic. And the food was just, blah. Nothing bad, but nothing special. It just doesn't seem like they really take food seriously here. There's a lot of potential with the space so I hope they improve the food and ambience soon.

Put this one in your favorites list! What a nice place! Very good portions, high quality food. We had a daily special (mortadella), a sandwich and a children's pizza. Two skilled staff members who help quickly and friendly despite being busy! I can't wait for summer to start and the terrace is open ❤️👌🏻☀️

Delicious affordable lunch options!

I have eaten here before but wouldn't come back anymore. Not for dinner at least. Don't know if this is a regular occurrence but during the evening the music went from pretty chill to obnoxious and later in they seemed to install a DJ in the restaurant. When the dj set started playing the music got very loud and thus (more) unpleasant. Ended up leaving a lot earlier than we would've normally because we didn't want to keep yelling at each other like in the club to converse. Did ask the staff if the volume could be lowered multiple times but after adjusting it by a little and still not being able to understand each other at our own table (only two people!) without effort we went home. Staff was nice, the food was good, it was nice for the first part of the evening. Unfortunate that the music was so loud and they acted like it was out of their hands to change it. Sorry guys, the music is just way too loud. Not the acoustics' fault.

Italian is my favorite cuisine, but even if that's not the case, you can still eat here. A varied menu, even for vegetarian eaters like me and the children also enjoy coming here. Everything here is tasty and above all of good quality. We always come back!

Had an amazing lunch at Barlusconi last weekend with a big group of friends. We kicked things off with beautiful anti-pasti platters packed with delicious bites: olives, artichokes, buffalo mozzarella, sardines, sourdough focaccia, octopus and more ~ everything was divine! Then came the star of the afternoon: a creamy truffle pasta that was simply unforgettable. The wine flowed generously, and the cozy atmosphere made us want to stay all day. Unfortunately, T-dansant was calling, so we had to continue the fun on the dance floor. Grazie mille, famiglia Lusconi! You will always be my favorite Italian spot! 🍝🍷

Italian food 🇮🇹 is my favorite! We ate here for my bday. It was delicious! The antipasta, everything tasted (almost) choice was great 😋. And delicious Vongole pasta. We went there again on Boxing Day and there was a special Christmas menu and we had a delicious meal again. And the service is so cozy and friendly!!! Definitely a nice and tasty place to eat ☺️

Looking for a great place in Amsterdam West? Bar.Lusconi in De Baarsjes is highly recommended! I was there with a large group of friends for Christmas and it was fantastic. I used to come here often and I am impressed by how they have transformed it into an Italian restaurant, while retaining the same cozy, trendy atmosphere. The food? Great! Classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, packed with flavor. The cozy yet hip atmosphere makes it perfect for any occasion—date nights, family dinners, drinks with friends or work outings. It is easily accessible with parking nearby and good public transport, and the staff is super friendly. Whether you come for a full dinner or just drinks and bites, this is a winner. Well worth a visit!

Had a delicious meal here on Boxing Day. We went out for dinner with a large group and had the 4 course Christmas menu. The portions were just the right size, so you weren't completely full after 2 dishes. Everything was delicious, my favorite dishes were the lobster bisque and the crab - lemon strozapretti. The tiramisu was also really delicious, not to mention the scroppino! I'll definitely be back soon!

We had a wonderful family Christmas Eve dinner at Bar Lusconi! We were very big fans of the previous restaurant at this location, Cafe Zurich, so we decided to give the new owners a try. We were not disappointed! The special Christmas Eve menu was a great way for us to get an overall picture of the food and service. All of it was plentiful and delicious. We especially loved the antipasti (calamari was a huge hit, even with our 5 year-old) and the truffle linguini was the most delicious pasta my mom and I have ever had! My kids loved the pizza, and we are so thrilled now to have an authentic pizza place closer to our house. On top of it, the atmosphere was fantastic. They’ve repainted and decorated the place to reflect a fun, old-school Italian atmosphere, with Ferrari toy cars nestled in the brick-work by the open kitchen and the green and red stripes on the ceiling. The service was very friendly, attentive and a definite improvement on Cafe Zurich. We really look forward to coming back to this family-style place again!

Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Spaghetti Puttanesca for lunch. Unfortunately made with little love: virtually no anchovies to be found, no chilli pepper, almost no garlic. Before 4.50 pm I expect more from the chef. Wines fine but a bit simple, the wine list could be improved with an upgrade.
