Food is generally good, but delivery has been late the last few months. And always 15 min to 30 min later than the chosen time!

Great food...but only for take away

Food just very good. Always come at the busiest time to pick up but notice a lot of stress between the employees. They react a little bit to the people who are waiting. But anyway, the food itself is so tasty that I just accept that

After I had placed my order I had to wait 40 minutes. Then a snack was missing. Fries had an overdose of herbs so I could go straight into the container.

I can't recommend this place. We ordered at 4 p.m. for 7:45 p.m. The food finally arrived at 8:10 p.m. We had ordered fries with peanut sauce, fries with mayonnaise, homemade hamburgers, pikanto and a small hutsar salad. The homemade hamburger was so fried that you could punch a hole in the wall. My wife and I continued to have stomach pains all night long. So that was the first and last time we ordered something here.

We have been getting fries from Friethuys de Baksteen every now and then for years, but for a while now we only order here - and for good reason! The quality of the food is top: the fries are always nice and crispy and warm, snacks are fresh and the portions are generous. You can just taste that attention is being paid to it. What really makes this snack bar special is the good service. Always friendly staff, fast service, and everything is neat and on time when delivered. Never forget anything and the food arrives hot and well packaged. My parents are also fans and that says something. We have tried several snack bars in the area, but in terms of price/quality, the Baksteen stands head and shoulders above the rest. It almost feels like “our” snack bar. Always reliable, always tasty. Definitely recommended for anyone who likes good fries and top service!

Lately poorer quality and errors in the order....

I placed a large order and picked it up at the store. When I got home, it turned out it wasn't what I'd ordered. It was much smaller, too little for my family, and all things they don't eat here. I could have just thrown it in the bin. I called immediately. It wasn't possible to make and deliver the correct order. We agreed to a refund and then order pizza. I provided my account number. I emailed them later with the receipt and account number. I also called a few times. I never received the money... It's been six weeks now. Everyone makes mistakes, and I don't blame them. Saying you'll fix your mistake in a certain way and then not doing so, I do blame them. That's terrible; that's not how you treat your customers.

If you like Dutch fast food (I'm a fan), then Friethuys is the place for you. Croquettes of all kinds, fricandels in all varieties, bami/nasi slices, loempia,... Everything is freshly prepared and very tasty. They know how to do it!!!

Well, let me start by saying, what a lovely place. It was clean and delicious. I enjoyed every bite. Friendly staff and fair prices. I'm used to Arnhem, and this was 30% cheaper. Highly recommended.

Wow! We used to live in Winschoten and regularly ordered from De Brick. We've been living in Scheemda for a while now and sometimes still get food from De Brick because it's simply the best cafeteria in the area. This time, a snack wasn't ready yet, even though the rest of the order was. It was delivered to my home. Besides the good food, the service is also fantastic!

I wanted to order something here. I first waited until it was my turn. When everyone else had been, I asked if I could place my order. The staff told me I'd be helped right away. Then they went back to their work, and I was completely ignored. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked if I could finally place my order. Meanwhile, others were being helped. What incredibly rude employees work there. I then went next door, where I was helped immediately and received my meal within 5 minutes. I've had positive experiences at De Baksteen in the past, but this time they've completely missed the mark.

Lots of fries for not a lot and nice to sit and eat

Went again tonight. Had to w88 for a while, but it's not annoying. Had a wonderful hair salon. Tastiest so far in Winschoten. And definitely not going to the neighbors snack bar again.

This cafeteria is special in every way, you get a lot of good food. It is always very busy, friendly staff, a pleasant hustle and bustle, so to speak, you usually have to wait a while, but there is every reason to do so, well prepared food takes some time. There is also a nice atmosphere while waiting and with jokes and teasing the wait is over in no time! It is not the cheapest place, but for a good product you now have to pay a little more. All in all, a nice cafeteria with delicious products for a good price, and the wait is definitely worth it , if this should even be an issue? Top

Children's fries, way too much, a few people can eat it. A lot of it was not good this time. Next time we'll go to the neighbor again.

I had just been here for a funeral and when I looked for a snack bar nearby, I came across this one. Super friendly staff and I've never had such a tasty bear snack before. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely come back! Thank you gentlemen!

Ordered food and had a great experience, but after 7 orders left for me, I went to Tillies the old-fashioned way. Lost money but the kids are happy again

Very good restaurant with great staff

Great snack bar where you get more than enough portions with your orders. Staff are friendly. As for the food, it's a matter of taste, but I like it. Because they are very busy, this also says something about the quality of the food. 😉 Collecting (telephone) orders sometimes leaves much to be desired at the agreed time. But often it can be arranged again within 5 minutes.

Good guys, good food. New guy was good too; Don't be so strict with him, he'll be gone soon.

Takes far too long and unsanitary

Delicious food! Very good service and very nice staff. I've been coming here for years and the food is always good. Also a very large range of snacks and drinks. I would order a variety of fries, mayo with herbs and an XXL frikandel with mayo. Really fantastic food!

Telefonisch eten besteld. Het zou om 18.00 uur klaar zijn en dat was het ook precies, prima. Het is verschrikkelijk druk bij het afhalen , erg chaotisch, de service schiet te kort en de klant wordt niet vriendelijk te woord gestaan. Het eten: De frikandel speciaal is uitstekend, de berehap met sate-saus is van groothandels kwaliteit ( niet zelf gemaakt ) is erg klein en de sate saus is waterig en flauw. De friet is van matige kwaliteit ( ook erg veel kruimels ) , niet goed doorbakken en niet erg warm. De friet kapsalon is echt koud. ( stond al een poosje te wachten tot de andere snacks klaar waren ). In het verleden was De Baksteen een van de betere snackbars in Winschoten , nu redden ze het niet vergeleken met andere aanbieders , jammer.

De man was heel vriendelijk en had alle tijd voor ons om uitleg te geven. Grote portie frietjes, en heerlijkste snacks.

Een van de betere snackbars. Mocht ik in de buurt zijn kom ik zeker even langs. Lekker gevuld bakje voor een prima prijs. En natuurlijk vriendelijk personeel! Zeker een aanrader.

Super vers, goede qualiteit en prijs

Normaal niks te klagen, maar vandaag was erg slecht. Slechte gehaktstaaf, echt een heel erg slechte goulash kroket. Enige reden voor 2 sterren is zoals altijd veel en goede patat.

Goede cafetaria met veel keuze in snacks en patat soorten. Online bestellen en afhalen vind ik persoonlijk erg handig. Personeel is altijd zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Bedenken smoesjes om de telefoon niet hoeven op te nemen. Zelfde verhaal met de verwarming die het zogenaamd niet doet.

Beste snackbar en vriendelijk personeel

Je kunt het makkelijk omschrijven als VEEL. De patat bijvoorbeeld; sommige collega's nemen gewoon een kinder portie omdat het zoveel is. Zelf vind ik het wel meevallen. Er wordt voldoende aandacht aan besteed, het is er schoon en de mensen vriendelijk. Binnen kun je maar met een paar mensen zitten. Buiten is nog een terrasje.

Heerlijke aardappelschijfjes. Heerlijke kipsalon. Ziet er keurig en schoon uit. Toppie.

Prima kwaliteit/ prijsverhouding

Een begrip in Winschoten en een perfecte kwaliteit en hopen dat je het opkrijgt want je krijgt veel!

De laatste tijd naar mijn mening achteruit gegaan. Maar dan vooral wat betreft klant vriendelijkheid. En dan bedoel ik bijvoorbeeld de hoge bezorgkosten lange tijd voordat er bezorgd wordt en het vanaf bedrag voor bezorgen is aan de hoge kant. Ze hebben het denk ik gewoon te druk. Wel lekkere patat en kapsalon. Maar tegenwoordig ga ik naar de buren Tillies. Leg dat de laatste keer 2 gratis colaatjes voor mijn zoon en mij toen we daar aten. Dat is pas klantvriendelijk.

Portie is goed smaak van patat ook goed - minpunten onbeleefde communicatie onderling jong tegen oud - veel fouten in communicatie en bestellingen - saté saus waar je baksteen mee vast kon zetten zo dik Verder een leuke tent

Lecker. War für einen guten Esser immer noch zuviel. Pommes waren richtig heiß und nicht nach Zwei Minuten labberig. Die Frinkandel XXL misst 35!!! Zentimeter. Hier werden wir in Zukunft häufiger hingehen.
