What a grumpy staff/owners, very unfriendly and curt with my children, you won't see us anymore

On Friday, August 15, 2025, I stopped by for a few snacks just before closing time before heading to the Kasteeltuin parties in Helmond. The owners were very friendly and receive ducks from customers all over the world. There are plenty of them on display throughout the restaurant. The cafeteria is small, but you can sit inside for fries.

It smelled like poop in there, food was expensive compared to other places and the staff was very grumpy.

What a wonderful surprise, Ducktaria! Instead of a regular cafeteria, you're greeted by an army of rubber ducks. Ducks everywhere! Even the sign says it all: Ducktaria. The fries and snacks were great, and the atmosphere even better. A super fun place with friendly people; you'll happily waddle over!

I brought my own drinks, but I hadn't read that we weren't allowed to bring drinks, and he immediately got angry with me. I'm never coming back. That man was really grumpy, and I barely tasted my frikandel special because there was too much sauce on it. And the regular hamburger I had wasn't even a hamburger; it didn't even taste like a burger. I'm never coming back. (Edit) Now that I see the owner's review, I wish he had had a better upbringing. Wow, oh, oh, oh.

Good service and friendly Staff

Have been making a lot of mistakes lately with orders taken there. You really shouldn't be there when it's busy! Because that will really go wrong. You pay for sauce but you don't get any sauce. Well, I think you should really pay attention to all orders that are placed and really check your order before you leave it there because you can return it at any time to change it.

People at the counter are rushed and not polite. They certainly can't handle a little criticism. The answers you give to customer reviews are not how you acquire customers. Shame!

I always go to this chip shop, it's only a 3-minute walk. Nice people, always up for a chat or a joke, my wife always orders the Nazi ball, such a shame that there are so many negative reactions, these people do their utmost, and yes, if you take your wedges with you, then you ask for a response from the owner. clearly a sign stating that bringing your own food and drinks is not allowed. Learn to read gvd. I will keep coming there

It’s easy access at the bus stop like commuters like me waiting the bus. The location is fantastic. The service is fast and the lady is friendly. The ambiance is clean and full of duck designs toys. The food is good and fast. Compliment Difinitely for take away food.

I didn't feel like cooking the day before yesterday, so I decided to take it easy and go to the chip shop. Family bag of fries, portion of chicken fingers (for son) and two grilled hamburgers. If only we had never done that! Probably got food poisoning! My son had no problems, so we suspect it is due to the burgers. Diarrhea and stomach cramps for two days. You will never see us here again!

Been working around the corner there for a number of months. Sometimes a sandwich, other times a greasy mouth or an ice cream. It's all good. Lovely people who provide a good meal and a nice chat. I'm not from Helmond myself, but if I'm in the area and I'm hungry, I'll come and get fries from you! See you next week😉

I got fries, the family bag had more than enough in it. Only the sauces cost more than the family bag itself. Grumpy man not customer friendly. I couldn't believe that I had to pay 7 euros for mayonnaise and satay sauce. I'll hear from him again. Have you ever seen a snack bar in Amsterdam where it costs more? Oh oh never come again

Have had several bad experiences and the owner (male) is always grumpy. We were there with a school, 2 teachers and 5 students. The man came in and just pushed the teacher aside and said: Can't you see or something! Yesterday I had physical education at the tennis club opposite the chip shop, so I park my bike there and the man comes running again: "What's that going on here!!!". I then said: Yes sir, I have gym there. Then he said again: "Yes, only if you buy something here. And if you don't take your bike away now, it will be right there on the trailer!". Then I left my bike at the new swimming pool So in general: Grumpy man, please retire and I advise all my friends/family not to ever get anything there again. You will NEVER see me there again!!

Nice people, affordable and top quality

Bought two very tasty croquette sandwiches here. Case can be called 'classic' - a bit like the famous snack bar of Maaskantje: I felt at home there! The lady behind the counter was very nice - and when I asked she told me about her collection of almost 500 rubber ducks that she started during the corona period, when everyone was on their own. (nice gathering place for a 2CV club, there is a large parking lot behind!) See pictures!

Voor mij de leukste cafetaria in Helmond, Altijd tijd voor een praatje, en natuurlijk niet onbelangrijk goede kwaliteit producten. Van harte aanbevolen!

Leuke inrichting voor een frietkotje, frietjes waren prima en een attente verkoper.

Des nondeju een goei friettent zeg. en da stoofvlees nog nooit z.n lekkere gehad .en ik ha een gehaktbal zo groot as ene voetbal ...echt top👌👌👌

Kwamen toevallig er bij langs Prima eten en leuk personeel Lekker buiten in het zonnetje gezeten

Een onaangenaam gevoel bekroop mij toen ik pas geleden binnenstapte. Het interieur is oud en (bijna) versleten. Ik rook een onfrisse bak lucht van oud frituur vet. Toen ik aan de beurt was, vroeg ik mij af of de snacks en friet er niet te lang lagen, wel vers waren en of ik er icm oud vet niet ziek van zou worden. Het viel gelukkig mee, maar ik ga niet meer terug.

Lekkere frites in puntzak, smaakt tóch altijd goed! Broodje hamburger goed verzorgd en lekkere kroket. Aardige eigenaresse (denk ik) die gezellig mee buurt en ook van humor houdt. Zie bijgevoegde foto's 🤣

Lekker gegeten alleen vind ik het personeel niet erg enthousiast. Tijd voor een praatje is er niet.
