Good food, friendly service, highly recommended

I watch the videos and I think it's great, and I've been there once and the atmosphere is great too.

A run-of-the-mill chip shop with lots of (young) staff. Our order arrived reasonably quickly, considering the crowds around dinnertime. The food was okay, but not really very special given the prices.

Together with my sweet wife and a good friend, we came all the way from Amstelveen especially for my great friend. It is really delicious, cozy, and fun. It is also nice to be with Luca from YouTube and TikTok; you can see him on Instagram with the fun videos he makes.

Very good cafeteria, go there to eat often. Always good, never any complaints. Staff also very friendly. I like coming there to eat.

The fries were soggy, the hamburger even worse than McDonald's. The prices are really absurd; to upgrade from a regular hamburger to a double (just an extra piece of meat from the freezer) you pay 4.20. Truly absurd.

The fries were on point at this place! They are super generous with their portions and have a super big assortiment so there is definitely something for everyone! Staff is super friendly aswell! Definitely will be visiting this place again.

The staff were lovely. The food was very nice, and the portions were generous. We had a belcrunch, bereklauw, frietje stoofvlees, and a grill platter, which all arrived quickly. Nice fries. Will be back to try different flavours of the stoofvlees and snacks. They have a lot of choice!

Cafeteria De Fijnproever is situated in a picturesque sub-center of Etten-Leur. The pearl of East Brabant! With a stunning view over the local parking area, we felt right at home immediately. Every spot your eyes rested on was treated to a feast! The service was impeccable and left nothing to be desired. And then the food—ohhh, how delicious that was. To experience the privilege of five-star service and food in this establishment! The combination of a relaxed atmosphere and the phenomenal view makes this trip definitely worth it! Spread the word, spread the word!

We drove from Zeelandic Flanders to Etten-Leur for the fries. Inspired by the fun videos he makes, we wanted to try them in real life. And I have to say that they are truly delicious fries; the service was therefore really super, and it is definitely highly recommended! No regrets at all.

Always had a wonderful meal with my family. My son chose to eat there for his birthday. But it was incredibly crowded, everyone was so close together, barely any room to turn around. You're either sitting on someone else's plate or someone is already sitting on your lap, which is very uncomfortable. And for those ordering take-away food, the line was far into the area where everyone else was eating, which wasn't pleasant. So, unfortunately for us, we'll have to go somewhere else next time.

Our son wanted to see his YouTube star in action. 😃 We were quickly given drinks and a coloring page. Despite the busy takeout crowd, we weren't forgotten. We quickly ordered our food and it was served...delicious special fries with chicken or stew. The snacks (XXL frikandel special) were also delicious! You sit there comfortably at a spacious table. The decor is very nice...just like a good chip shop should be! Excellent! See you next time!

Today was a pleasant day; upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Luca's mother, which gave me a warm feeling. I had to wait a bit for Luca to arrive, but it was really nice and enjoyable to meet him in person. I'm a big fan of his YouTube vlogs about his work from his perspective. I want to mention upfront that we took a 2-hour tour so that we, too, could be gourmets for a day. There is a special place in hell for the person who wrote the Google reviews. The fact that I can reward such a fantastic dining experience with only a meager 5 stars is truly patronizing. Cafeteria "De Fijnproever" is a blessing for the taste buds, and I can only describe the service as top-notch. In short: highly recommended.

What a great place! The food was delicious!

I got food here today. I've never had anything this bad. The frikandels were cold, the shawarma was boiled, not fried, and the satay was the same. I didn't order ahead of time, I just picked it up. A real disaster.

I used to come here all the time. And I was really craving chicken shawarma, which is usually delicious here. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The frikandel specials were barely cold, the satay seemed cooked, and the shawarma wasn't as I remember. The fries were the only thing still warm. I think the timing for the preparation after the chicken shawarma wasn't quite right, so the rest had already gone cold or something, I have no idea. Such a shame!

Ordered for the second time today. Some snacks were still raw and cold. Bami snack was overcooked and had a burnt flavor. Instead of the generous amount of sauce in the videos, this time for the second time I got very little sauce and very dry fries. We had to search for our mayonnaise and satay sauce today! Last time I had Indonesian stew: 3 pieces of meat and drizzles of sauce. But I paid 11 euros for it... We'll be going elsewhere from now on because this is ridiculous.

Please wear hairnets, found hair among the fries and snacks

After leaving Zaandam with a good friend of mine and my wife, we were actually supposed to stop by last Sunday because my friend unexpectedly couldn't make it. We decided to do it on September 27, 2025, when we arrived in Breda. We first went to Monkey Town with the little one. Once we were entertained, Cafetaria de Fijnproever was on the list. Once inside, you're immediately greeted, and I was allowed to choose a table. Cutlery is immediately brought out, and a coloring page is given to the little one. We ordered drinks, which we received promptly. Then we ordered our food, and while there was a huge selection, I decided to go with my friend to the Fijnproever. I looked at the plate and thought, "Man, I'm never going to finish this! So many fries!" But I have to, and I will, eat everything on it. Don't ask how, but we managed. My friend had the exact same thing, and he had the same attitude. I'm not leaving until I've finished my plate. The woman had peanut fries with onions. And a chicken nugget. It was delicious, better than I expected. Despite it being five o'clock, the cafeteria got busier and busier, but the service was still good. Finally, I wanted to pay and ended up with a nice amount. I wanted to give the guy a tip, but he wouldn't accept it because we'd all been on a long journey, and he was grateful for it. The only thing that might be nice would be if they'd asked if they could offer more drinks. Other than that, I really have nothing to complain about. Everyone got back in the car with a satisfied, full stomach and headed back to Zaandam. We'll definitely be back. 100% my compliments on the delicious food.

We ordered fries (war fries) twice here. You get a good portion, but it's a shame if you think it should come with onions, you have to pay extra for them. That's not the case at many other chip shops.

I happened to stumble across the adventures of Luuka the Gourmet on YouTube and was surprised that people even drive for four hours to visit this place. I thought that wouldn't happen to me, despite the menu. The team thought otherwise, and it just so happened to be on my way. The place was neat, with plenty of seating and clean tables. The restrooms could have been a bit cleaner, and the cleanliness and smell were more important. No smell of shit or pee. Some of the team asked if the vegetarian snacks could be fried separately from the meat snacks. They could, but when they saw that there was already a meat snack in the fryer, they decided against it. Fries are generously served. This is also evident in one of the videos where someone orders two large portions and can't finish them. The team had a Gourmet (meat a bit bland), burgers (you have to eat them quickly and don't let them cool down), snacks (also eat them quickly), fries with mayonnaise, ketchup, and onions (the sauce could be more generous), fries with Belgian mayonnaise were nice and tangy and fresh, and the fries with special sauce (which was delicious, a mix of onion, curry, mayonnaise, and mysterious herbs) was delicious. The fries were typical snack bar fries and weren't super crispy, but they were doable. Sometimes there were soft bits in between, which were flavored by the sauces. And for dessert, we had ice cream from the vending machine. The ice cream was delicious. Some team members had a Sundea with chocolate or strawberry sauce. A tip: add nuts or chocolate chips! The sundea had to be eaten quickly, otherwise the sauce (which was generously served) would spill over the edge of the container. A few had thought about ordering a dame blanche and expected fresh scooped ice cream. It was just ice cream from the machine with chocolate sauce and a cookie. Too bad. Luuka was kindly helped, though he can be very direct in his communication or act too quickly. It took some getting used to seeing him walking around with a collar and a camera. Luuka's mother was also there, helping another group order. There was also a (new?) young lady who apparently wasn't in the mood that day and just walked around in circles. It's a place that can be addictive. There are some areas for improvement in hygiene (a black border around the window by the sink/ice machine) and to improve the quality of the dishes. Note that there are two menus on the table: one with the special assortment of dishes, etc., and one with the snacks. The food here is worth trying once.

On the motorcycle, through rain and wind, from Amersfoort - Etten-Leur via to Antwerp, NovaStar concert, Lotto Arena. Careful ⚠ driving (the vlogger) (+ 172km/15 years/no-claims 29 years), definitely have the VRO-R (2009 certificate, #knmv), and at the beginning of the ride I had to dodge a "ghost driver"... the VRO-R has saved my life six times now... I quickly went to the toilet and left things on the table, also secured... I stopped by briefly between 2011 and the present, See you in 2026! And I'll be back with the motorcycle club, and the parking lot. Is there enough space for about eighty (80) parking spaces? tables... It was fantastic! We drove all the way from Limburg, and my parents and I thought it was definitely worth it because of all the videos, and we even got a free ice cream! Great place.

After watching your YouTube videos for a few weeks, my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try. We came all the way from Rotterdam. The food was amazing! Packed with flavor and worth every penny; we only paid €29.60. The atmosphere and service were also excellent. The interior is beautiful, and the gentleman and lady behind the counter are very kind. We were very satisfied with our visit, 10/10.

We've been coming to this chip shop for years. It's great that the owner is so successful thanks to TikTok, but because of TikTok, this place is incredibly busy. Today we had to wait a ridiculously long time for fries for three people. We even called ahead, as always. After waiting 45 minutes in the shop, we finally got fries, but they were super hard. Not what we're used to from this gourmet restaurant. Unfortunately, orders haven't been quite right the last few weeks. It's a shame, because we always liked coming here, and there aren't many good chip shops in the area.

From those who work in snack bars, we don't really like the snack brands they buy. This is true for the hogweed and bamischijf, but of course, this is just an opinion. A tip for snack bars: remove one or two pieces of meat/onion from the hogweed and place them loosely in the basket. This way, you can separate the meat and onion, and it will all cook evenly. No ugly white spots on the meat and no raw onion. However, the amount of sauce is more than enough.

After watching many TikTok videos about this cafeteria, we took the time to sit on the terrace, and as you can see on TikTok, the service was very polite. The TikToker himself helped us, and he puts service first. After a short wait, we received our food, and it was more than worth the 160 km drive. We recommend De Fijnproer as a very good cafeteria that focuses on customer focus and quality over quantity. The other staff were also very friendly.

I've always had good experiences with this free shop, and today was no different! There was a small issue with my order (some things were forgotten), but it was resolved immediately and very efficiently. I was able to pick up the new order right away and even received a discount coupon for my next order. The service was truly excellent, customer-friendly, and fast. You can tell they value their regular customers and do everything they can to make things right if something goes wrong. Highly recommended.

After a lot of tiktok "violence" we arrived in Etten-Leur to test the homemade fries and some snacks as fries connoisseurs and enthusiasts🧐. The cafeteria is easily accessible with ample parking. Everything looks neat inside and we are kindly helped by an employee. The tiktokker himself is hiding in the kitchen 🤭. Too bad... but it's all about the food of course. The fries are of good quality and perfectly fried. On a scale of 1 to 10 we give these fries an 8 🥳. As can also be seen regularly in the tiktok videos, the snacks are often ready before the fries. And that is actually not possible😱. We have now seen the result ourselves, is that some snacks still look raw on the inside! We had a mix stick, cervela and a belcrunch. Tip for the mix stick: slide the pieces apart a little. The pieces of snacks looked the same on the inside as they are on the counter. The belcrunch could be cut further so that it is also cooked properly. Foodie is a good name for the fries, but not yet for some snacks😉.

One of the better cafeterias in Etten-Leur. Certainly in terms of atmosphere & appearance. Service is also good. It's usually busy here, but they're always fast. Well attuned to each other. In terms of food, it is unfortunately mediocre, just like the other cafeterias in EL.

Come here regularly for fries. Last time my fries were drenched in mayo. Fries mayo. Wash mayo fries. Had to throw that away. Today hogweed was badly burned, the onions were all black and inedible. There are two women (baking) the rest are watching. I'm going to look for another chip shop.

Had to wait quite a long time for a bami slice and fricandeau sandwich. While there was 1 table occupied in the restaurant and 1 other person was on hold. I think it's pricey.

Sinds ik ben verhuisd is dit mijn vaste caferatia geworden vanwege het goede eten, het vriendelijke personeel en de goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Sinds kort bieden ze ook verschillende smaken bubble tea aan waar ik zeer tevreden over ben!

Rustig kunnen eten op een doordeweekse dag. Restaurant ziet er na de verbouwing stukken beter uit. Qua menu/presentatie van je frietje is niets veranderd;). Eten is lekker en bediening is vriendelijk.

Je kan erg lekker eten hier. Ik had een frietje oorlog besteld. Die was erg lekker alleen het minpunt was dat de mayo en sate naar beneden waren gezakt waardoor je eerst goed moet zoeken om friet te vinden met sate of mayo erop. Kipkorn hier is ook erg lekker!

Frietjes waren zacht en niet gaar. Erg jammer. Weinig uitjes bij de frikadel. Teveel mayonaise op een klein frietje,middelgrote friet te weinig mayonaise en curry.
