The schnitzel is delicious (though a bit overcooked), and the fries were overcooked and didn't taste great. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill since the takeover. The staff are still very friendly, though! Because of the schnitzel, I would still recommend Houtkamp, along with the friendly staff and good prices.

Had a delicious meal here. I had fries and a beef stew, highly recommended! 👌🏻 The staff were also very friendly.

Lovely people and super fast service. Also it is super nice inside, completely in the 50s style. The scoop of ice cream they have is also definitely worth the 5 stars.

Ordered Indonesian fries, which according to the employee came with chicken, peanut sauce, fried onions, and prawn crackers. What wasn't mentioned was that the fries would be fried three times, rock hard, and completely dried out, like chips. Inedible, they were thrown straight in the trash. The prawn crackers were missing, as were the fried onions, but they were raw, chopped onions. See photo, disgusting!

Wijnbergseweg 86The snack bar itself looked neat and clean, but unfortunately, the service didn't match its appearance. The woman behind the counter was very curt, both with customers at the counter and on the phone, which didn't improve the atmosphere. Furthermore, the quality of the food was very disappointing. The fries were dry, had an odd color, and shortly after eating, we had stomach problems for two days. All of this means we won't be returning.
