Cafetaria Mr. Friet in Roggel

I had to wait two hours for fries that weren't even warm enough. When I ordered, it was supposed to take 30 minutes. Unfortunately, it took longer, and you can't just walk away; the children were hungry. It turned out they had four sick staff members. It happens, but they didn't adapt well. 50-60 people in line with unrealistic expectations. If they knew this, they could turn around and find something else.

Closing time is at 7:30pm. We came in at 7:10pm, but got told that they were closing early due to their "internal employee party". Excuse me? You guys can party after the closing time. We paid to have the holidays in this park and was right within time. Called the receptionist of Leisters and their manager came over to open the door and forced these rude and irresponsible employees to serve to at least 8 waiting customers. No sorry or extra gratitude was given. Just the cranky face serving the disrespected customers afterwards. Bizarre!

Food is ok. However, the staff is sooo slow

“Mr Friet” doesn’t really look like the cheerful snack bar I expected. The ice cream itself is okay, but the edible container around it ruins everything: rock hard and with a soapy taste as if it came straight from the cleaning cupboard. My “milkshake” took it to the next level: the thin, watery substance looked more like a slush puppy than a creamy shake. The staff doesn’t make things any better: surly, disinterested and not a hint of a smile to be seen. As if you are a nuisance to them if you dare to order. Finally, the whole place looks like a chaotic flea market with crumbs and chips on the floor. A disappointing experience from start to finish; I won’t be coming back here.

You will be faced with a closed door there

Great snack bar. Order from a column. Yet the order was incomplete. Fries were bland, the rest was fine.

Chip shop that also sells ice cream. Food quite ok. Staff not properly trained. There wasn't even a price on the ice cream.

Excellent snack bar with a fairly limited but decent range, friendly service and fast and beautifully golden brown. Why only 3 stars, there was no salt or fries at all, that is an unforgivable defect. You can no longer correct it yourself under the thick layer of sauce on top of the fries, which is a shame, I would have liked to have been able to give a higher blood pressure and therefore a higher score.

Despite it being busy, ordering went very smoothly and we received friendly service. Everything was just as we asked and very tasty. Also the price was really commensurate with the portions.

Everything as you would expect from a Dutch fast food joint (food selection, price, quantity). We recommend the soft ice cream in a wide variety of variations.

Fries were not cooked properly. Apparently it is difficult to complete the order properly, because the sauce was missing. And we are not alone in this. Chance? Snacks were tasty. Ordering via touchscreen is also convenient.

Fries come out dry and with a floury taste, the same goes for the chicken nuggets, so far it's fine, there is no other alternative, this is just the way it is at Leistert, at every restaurant of theirs

Sometimes too busy but working hard

This was the first time I got good fries at a holiday park! It was well cooked, hot and more than enough for us (a bucket for 3-4 people). There seemed to be no salt on the fries (or very little), but we resolved that ourselves. Didn't have any snacks, so no review on that.

There was no salt with the fries. A meatball special was without sauce. But ready very quickly and good to eat.

07-2024. Great snack bar. Via an order column or via the cash register. Fries are gluten-free. There are a few snacks that are gluten-free. Gluten-free offering is limited. To eat outside on the terrace or to take away.

Well organized chip shop. Everyone seems to have their own task. And you'll be done quickly. Food was tasty and good!

A little too much sauce on the fries.

Generally good, but croquettes were frozen together and thrown into the fat so they were not cooked properly. They should have taken them apart first. Service was fine. Atmosphere inside not special. Nice outside.

No vegetarian options, besides the dry vegetable croquette (tasted like wallpaper paste) and the tasteless cheese soufle. Very unfortunate in 2024. The building was very neat.

You can park in front of the door, but it is easy to walk or cycle from the park. We were not there in high season and were helped immediately because it was not busy. I think how busy it is and the waiting times will depend on how busy the park itself is. In any case, there was enough staff available if it became busier.

Ordering is quick, but waiting for your order really takes forever. Our order was also incomplete (chicken nuggets were missing), sloppy! Fries were of reasonable quality, snacks were good.

The location is ideal, right next to a large and very nice playground. Service was friendly and smooth. Snacks were prepared correctly. The fries, for which you ultimately come to Mr. Fries were disappointing. The portions are certainly okay in terms of volume. Not the baking method: half baked and not crispy, so half of our bucket went into the trash. Making fries is a skill that still needs to be mastered here.

Unfortunately very bad fries. Bami slices are soaked in fat and fall apart. Bitterballen and Frikandel were pretty okay, but nothing special either. It's a shame that there is no response here, as the reviews, for example. The French fries are almost all identical.

Certainly doesn't live up to its name. What nasty 'fries'.

Super Essen, sehr preiswert und wahnsinnig lecker.

Frikandel und Bitterballen sehr gut. Pommes definitiv nicht :(

Op zondagavond om 18.30 was de patat op. Stond al 5 min binnen voordat 1 van de 4 tieners mij opgemerkt had. Er werd een korte mededeling gedaan dat de patat niet geleverd was. Op dus. Naar mijn weten zijn er weinig bedrijven die op zondag leveren, dus denk eerder aan een inschattingsfout, maar ik had als manager zijnde dan toch ergens zakken patat vandaan gehaald. Kwaliteit dus niet kunnen beoordelen.

Gut für Essen auf die schnelle oder Softeis/Milkshake

Gezellig bij de speeltuin. Eten was goed en ijsjes mega groot en lekker. Enige minpuntje was dat de frituur om 20 uur dicht ging, terwijl in de app en site 21 uur staat. Hierdoor stonden wij op 20.30 uur bij de snackbar en geen opties meer om te eten op het park... Gelukkig hadden wij nog wat in de koelkast....

Lange Wartezeit und dazu noch labbrige Pommes. Das ist ein No-Go da sie zwar nicht teuer sind aber viele andere sind günstiger und besser. Die anderen Sachen sind OK gibt aber auch in Roggel viel leckere und günstigere Frituren.

Eerst enorm lang moeten wachten op je bestelling. Friet wordt heel erg bruin gebakken (nog net niet zwart) en is heel erg slap. De meeste snacks waren prima. Je hoeft geen chefkok in dienst te hebben, maar als je nog geen friet normaal kan bakken ga dan niet in een friettent werken.

Mooie snackbar maar patat was slap en al voorgebakken. Zonde. Want zo heel druk was het niet.

Snel klaar, bestellen via balie of 2 schermen. Ruime keuze in snacks, friet goed bruin gebakken. Bucket voor 3/4 personen was inderdaad een ruime portie voor 3 personen.

Het eten en ijs zijn lekker. Misschien is het een idee om 2 bordjes bij het ijs op te hangen waar mensen kunnen bestellen en kunnen afhalen. Als het druk is is het echt chaos.

Het was allemaal een beetje slap. Volgende dag hadden een paar mensen flink buikpijn

Typical dutch fried food. Nice soft ice cream. Unfortunately some of our fries have gone through frying twice. Very dark and crispy.

Uitstekende ijssalon en snackbar op vakantiepark de Leistert in Roggel. Lekker ijs en prima snacks die je daar terplekke kan opeten of gewoon meenemen naar je vakantie bungalow.

Lekkere frietjes, vriendelijke bediening

Na het eten van de friet en snacks, hadden we wat klachten en vooral hadden de kinderen er last van

Ganz nett gemacht. Personal ist bemüht aber extrem langsam. Fritten überfritiert und salzfrei, Öffnungszeiten sehr aufbaufähig. Ist zwar gegenüber vom großen Spielplatz, aber der Spielplatz der Frittenbude ist komplett ohne Schatten und wenig einladend. Insgesamt eher mäßig.

Toller Imbiss auf dem Campingplatz de Leistert. Preise normal, Getränke allerdings zu teuer. Schmeckte gut und war schnell zubereitet. Beim Softeis sind sie nicht geizig - grosse portionen! Ambiente war auch schön. Waren direkt 2x da

Tot 2x toe hier geweest, mooie speeltuin voor de kinderen in de buurt. De friet was iets slap, maar de snacks waren goed doorbakken. 2de keer waren we hier voor ijsjes, werden vlot geholpen ondanks de drukte.
