Cafetaria 'T Houten Kietje in Wijk 00 Waalre

I went on a date at Cafetaria Houten Kietje, and now we're a couple and we keep coming back. 5-star service, 5-star food, 5-star spark of love.

Since the new owner they have cut back on snacks.. worthless meatball place. Don't order meatballs..

With my aunt, I had dinner in this cafeteria. Delicious, crispy fries with a soft inside. Bereklauw was on the cold side, my aunt had severe diarrhea, but I was allowed to flush the toilet😀👍👊🏻

The fries are really not tasty! Fries and snacks for 10 people (of which we missed 2) for more than €76. First time with new owner, but for us the last.

Food is generally good, but they use too much sauce, for example with a special fries or with a snack where you order mayo.

A fresh chip shop, neatly maintained and friendly staff. The fries are classy: crispy but soft on the inside. Personally, the Belgian mayonnaise could have been a little more sour, but the piccalilli makes up for that. Great business!

Today I went to get 2 frikadel special fries and one spicy noodles. What did I see when I got home? It was special fries instead of special frikadel. My wife not happy. The fries were fried way too hard and way too salty. Then she called dozens of times and got someone on the phone who was also helping someone else in the meantime. How? After she was finally able to finish her story after 3 times, the boss was called in. She was very friendly and correct. We received a voucher on the next visit. After this we gave them another tip. Do not fry fries until dark brown and put much less salt on them. Greetings

The fries used to be better. Now, sometimes they are good and sometimes they are not. You need to improve or you will start losing customers.

The hamburgers were inedible and the fries were inedible. I ordered a cup of satay sauce but it was very little. You won't see us here anymore.

Unfortunately, the takeover of this chip shop did not do much good and everything that Flip and his wife have built up over the years has ended up in the trash. There is no more talk about quality. Few fries and often undercooked. Hamburgers not cooked properly and so on. These people have no love for the profession but mainly want to make money quickly!

Food was super tasty, only if you pay €3.85 for a small special and you then get a container that you have to look for in the packaging. hit me like a bomb. Apparently, when we went back, it is normally a bowl of normal, which in Limburg is a children's fries. Snacks are normal catering prices, portion of fries at amusement park prices. Too bad, but not for me anymore, even though it was tasty.

Placed a simple order and immediately some things went wrong, the order was packed even though it could be eaten on the spot. No problem and it was well organised, but the quality of the fries was not good and we have known better. Price-quality ratio is also not good, had bought milkshakes and received a measly little container/cup for which you paid full price. Never again unfortunately

Very tasty fries and friendly service

Normally I swear by the wooden kietje fries. Normally that is why I drive to Waalre for it. But this time it was very disappointing 🥺. Almost only hard bits, instead of real fries. That suddenly makes the saturation disappointing. There was also a sign on the counter that said: taste our meatball in gravy. That tasted like a boiled mealy clay ball in a puddle of brown water. Such a shame really.

Too bad the previous owners are gone... but yes, every cafeteria, every chip shop is being taken over.

When you think of the name, you think of a wooden shack, but that was in the past. Nowadays a stone building, coincidentally during a bike ride we passed by there and decided to have something to eat there. Just a fries special, the weather was pretty good so we sat outside. The fries tasted very good and the freitbakker (owner) came to deliver the order. Okay, it wasn't busy, so you can do that. You can store bicycles on the sidewalk, but I dare not say anything about parking.

Super friendly and service-oriented employees. Good quality fries and fast service, the place looks clean. Great business!! It's a shame that parents nowadays raise children so freely that they are allowed to smear windows and chairs with greasy mayo hands. It's a real shame that they don't care about it and leave the mess for other users/employees.

One of the best burger i have tried

been twice in 1 week: rock hard fries on Tuesday and a bit better on Sunday. However, the quality remains mediocre overall. The salads are excellent and you are served by nice people

Enjoyed a soft ice cream on the "terrace". The ice cream was delicious, but way too noisy. This is a traffic artery and a shortcut. We fled from the terrace, because talking to each other at a normal volume is not possible here.

10 stars... Normally I don't start like this, but these people helped my colleague last week 😂 don't know that my reviews are viewed almost 80,000 times a week. So here's my thanks! My colleague gets a fries of satay and puts it in the bus on the cool box... And drives away... Everything all over him 😂😂 now I walk in for napkins and a new fries of satay.. now I get a STACK of napkins and a side of satay fries. Such nice people and they are so rare. The fries and snacks are certainly worth 5 stars, but the staff is 100% 10 stars. Thanks again and see you soon 🏆

Terrace is too small! Or the chick is too popular. :-) It's crowded with those delicious fries. Being so directly at the intersection is really bad, because some people drive very fast. Noise, stench and occasionally a heart attack because children threaten to storm onto the road.

Few can match Bram Ladage's fries, but Flip comes close to it. And then it's just around the corner. Nowadays there is also a VEGAN croquette in the range and it is tasty too. Great place to get something tasty.

Good chip shop, the wooden Keetje is no longer, they are now located nearby in a beautiful building. They now also have delicious ice cream!
