Dirty dirty dirty. Toilet no toilet paper no soap and no towel. Toilet was also very dirty. Inside the snack bar also very dirty. Everything sticks and looks dull from grease and dirt. I had severe diarrhea from my fries with mayo. What should have been a nice bike ride turned out to be a nightmare with stomach cramps on the way back after dinner in the harbor in Zaandam. Unfortunately. Nice location. Haaven do something about it!!

Had a not so good experience a few times now. Ordered 23 euros worth of snacks. I was able to throw the hamburger away, the lettuce on it was slimy and literally tasted like garbage. The fries were so hard and dark that it felt like you were eating ships. And the cheese soufflé was also just hard on the inside. Too bad a few years ago this was a great place.

The fries and stew are really delicious! The spuds are peeled manually and you can taste it! Unfortunately, the interior leaves something to be desired. The toilet really needs to be replaced. The tap hasn't been working for a while and the entire snack bar looks a bit dingy. That's difficult to write, knowing that the people are incredibly friendly. Still, I have to be honest. Potato fries get a BIG 10 (despite the high price of €10.50), but the interior really needs an update.

Truly the best fries I've had. Very Burgundian and old-fashioned place; potatoes are peeled, cut and deliciously fried. If you are in Zaandam it is 100% worth visiting.

Delicious snack! The fries are freshly peeled and fried every day! The snacks are slightly different from any other chip shop, the giant cheese soufle is highly recommended!! The satay sauce! Wow!! The owner really has a love for cooking and baking, you can taste this in the satay sauce so delicious!! I haven't tried the stew yet, but it was simmering and I was really curious about it, it smelled absolutely DELICIOUS!!

With true old craftsmanship, upon entering an older lady was peeling mountains of potatoes which went into large buckets of water. Croquette sandwich is as it should be. Old-fashioned delicious pulled pork croquette. You have to look past the hygiene because Ron doesn't have to go there. But really tasty!

The food is ok, but the hygiene in the place is anything but good. The floor, walls, windows, tables and chairs are filthy. There is a container of water with potatoes boiling in the corner, the staff wears casual clothes and there is also a lack of maintenance. So a lot of room for improvement.

They are proud that they make it themselves, but I would say, look for another recipe. Near the container (a lot of waste by the way) where you are served the fries with stew, there was a wilted slice of tomato, a piece of pickle and literally 5 mini strings of lettuce! Really worthless! So no success.
