Cafeteria Trudoplein in Oud-Strijp

The snacks were really expensive, the fries were nothing special, but oh well. What really bothered me was that in the fifteen minutes I was there, I saw a mouse running around three times. If mice are running around on your floor in a busy restaurant during the day, you can safely say you have a mouse infestation.

On the date of my visit, I found the service and product quality to be substandard. My experience was deeply disappointing for the following reasons: - Food Quality The order was served with obvious flaws: the fries were lukewarm and soggy, the meat appeared unevenly cooked, and the presentation looked unkempt. A chip shop should, according to current standards, maintain a level of taste and texture that was unfortunately not achieved here. - Hygiene and Cleanliness Upon entering, the poor hygiene was immediately noticeable: the floors and work surfaces were in a sloppy state, and insufficient attention was paid to cleaning. This created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left the impression of neglect. - Customer Service The staff responded to my comments with little empathy. They failed to offer an appropriate solution or demonstrate sufficient commitment to resolving the problem satisfactorily. In my opinion, an adequate response to complaints is essential. - Value for money Given the quality offered, I consider the price of the order disproportionate. For the price charged, I expected a significantly higher standard of taste, presentation, and service.

Friendly, delicious fries, orders almost always ready on time. Always super busy. Fries a bit salty, but if you ask for less, they immediately comply.

This will be my regular place, now that I live nearby I expect

The food was flawless. The snacks and fries were pricey but of good quality. There were three employees in the store, two of whom worked incredibly hard. The third, and youngest, with short hair, was particularly quick-witted with other colleagues and customers. He's probably never heard of HACCP/hygiene regulations; I don't need anything from the microwave he had to clean anymore. The tables in the seating area were sticky, and there were a lot of flies.

I've been going to this chip shop for 12 years, and I've been to many different chip shops just for fun, trying a "frikandel soeiaal" (fried sausage). But this one is and remains the best! They have plenty of seating inside, a patio, and most importantly: a very wide selection! Although I always go for a "frikandel speciaal" (fried sausage special) 😂 Because apparently, there's a big difference between chip shops. The satay sauce, in particular, varies between chip shops, and here it's simply delicious 🤤 Plus, the staff is super friendly, which is of course also very important 🤗

Excellent cafeteria. Very tasty fresh fries, lots of choice of snacks, also from our own kitchen. Original products including Strijpse stew and Strijpse sauce and Trudo stew and Trudo sauce. Nice and tasty. Great milkshakes, reasonable prices and friendly staff. Eat inside or on the terrace. Will gladly come back.

I was here for the first time in 1992 and the fries goulash with mayonnaise is still my favorite. If we happen to pass through Eindhoven and need something to eat, you will find us here

I've got to agree with the other reviews, these are the best fries I have had in Eindhoven! Super crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. The burgers are delicious too. It's no accident I'm somehow nearby at lunchtime.

okay if you really need to know because apparently Mr. Snack Bar needs some tips on why his food doesn't taste good. I ordered satay fries and the satay sauce came out of the microwave, not only that but the satay sauce was (miss already for the 10th time that day??) reheated in large quantities in that microwave, that is really a no go. ..sauce had completely dried up on the fries at home (3 streets away).. potatoes were of poor quality and some fries just tasted stale and sour anw... cutting breaded snacks in half is possible... but if you bake this for too long all edges become much harder to eat, which is the case with my variation snack. breaded Mexicano was a nice idea but the crust almost fell off when I got home so all in all 0 success. regards. learn to bake fries, you idiot, instead of wasting your time on empty comments. not much else to say. The idea of ​​leaving a comment is not to fight against your customers, but to give them resolution for their bad purchase. Anyway, I should have been smart myself and read the recent (very variable) reviews here and just cycled 2 streets further, anyway... maybe I'll come back in a year to see if it's better here. but not for a while.

Wanted to get some fries here for the very first time, because we were in the area. Well what a pleasant surprise that was! The enormous choice of snacks already left the corners of our mouths moist. The nice enthusiastic staff welcomed us as they should. Friendly and very pleasant. Of course it was quite difficult for me to make a choice. In the end, we went home completely delighted with our bag full of goodies, and were already eating the fresh, very well-cooked fries on the way home. I'm not easily impressed by what I always call it, "a chip shop". But I am really full of praise for this. The fries are truly to die for. I chose a bamiball, and Ooh, just perfect! We will 100% come back here again, to choose something different from the enormous selection of snacks. I say see you soon!

In my opinion, this is one of the best cafeterias in Eindhoven. I recommend all homemade dishes! The really fresh fries are delicious and take you back in time, nice and crispy and the perfect amount of salt. The spicy sauce completes it all! The chicken skewer, which I forgot the name of, was also delicious, very well seasoned and wonderfully tender! The meatball had a full flavor, had something spicy and was very tender.

Delicious food. The original snacks were great, and the (homemade) sauces were even better. The people who helped us were very friendly and incredibly pleasant.

Their fries are good, they have delicious snacks and homemade sauces too! Outside of this they are also proud of their quality, a really great chip shop! Tip: Ask for a bacon snack ;)

Very mediocre fries, after being disappointed a few times I swore never to go back to this chip shop. Despite the good location, I would rather cycle a little further for another one. I have never experienced the staff as very pleasant. I'm sorry to read that they don't believe all the bad reviews themselves. Edit: This specifically concerns Cafetaria Trudoplein. Very childish that with every negative review you claim that the person who wrote it was wrong or that you pretend that those people are the only ones who don't like it.

Goede friettent, ik kom hier al jaren. De porties zijn goed en de friet is altijd goed gebakken. Daarnaast is een groot aanbod van verschillende soorten snacks. Als er een nieuwe snack op de markt komt, kun je die bij Cafetaria Trudoplein zeker als eerst proeven!

Lekkere vetstelen, Wij komen speciaal vanuit Helmond om de beste cafetaria die er is te bezoeken. NEE ik overdrijf niet,gewoon klasse. Voor degene die dit lezen een goede raad, GA HET GEWOON ONTDEKKEN!!!!

Prima friet maar ik ging voornamelijk voor een sitostick. Tot mijn verbazing vond ik dat het stokje er al uitgehaald was. Erg jammer dat ze dit ongevraagd doen, hopelijk vergeet ik de volgende keer niet aan te geven dat ze het stokje moeten laten zitten maar ik vind het eigenlijk wel erg raar dat ik me dit moet voornemen. Dit is de allereerste friettent waar ik ooit geweest ben die dit rare gedrag vertoont.

My favorite ‘cafetaria’ (for Dutch snacks and French Fries to go) since I moved to Strijp-R. Passing 3 others on the way down there, however this is the best.

For me this was the best Dutch snackbar/friture experience in many years. Very nice freshly cut fries baked to perfection, which is rare these days with the use of pre-baked factory fries in most snackbars. There was a very nice familiar and warm atmosphere and service, you just feel instantly welcome there. Star of the evening was the Strijpse Stroof (stewed meat sauce, a bit like stroganoff), be sure to get it along with one (or two) traditional Dutch snackbar snacks of which they have a vast selection. Top en het lopen vanuit de binnenstad waard!

Lekkere friet ook lekker uit eigen keuken, alleen jammer dat als je een grote friet besteld dat je dan niet een volledige portie krijgt en er wel voor betaald maar verders prima!

De friet is normaal oke, maar bellen en afhalen blijft lastig voor ze om optijd klaar te hebben. Meestal kun je gewoon beter in de rij gaan staan

super cafetaria,kreeg zelfs ongevraagd een lekker sausje bij mijn speksnack. verder een heeeeeeel uitgebreid snack assortiment. als we weer in de buurt zijn(komen uit amersfoort)dan gaan we op zeker weer lekker snacken......

Lekkere friet en snacks. Ik vind het ook fijn dat ze niet zuinig zijn met de saus!

Veruit de lekkerste verse friet van heel Strijp! De porties zijn ruim en de prijzen goed. De stoofvlees en gehaktbal worden ook in eigen keuken gemaakt en zijn zeker aan te raden. Probeer ook eens de Trudosaus een eigen recept, waar de Joppiesaus van afgekeken lijkt te zijn. Oja voor de gene welke verward zijn door de benaming: Cafetaria Trudoplein. In de volksmond is het gewoon: Vette John. Trouwens een gezellige persoonlijkheid anzich!
