Best Chinese on this side of the train tracks in the Zaan

The service was friendly and tried to help, but the food really wasn’t good. The duck was as far from crispy as possible and the sauces had some weird taste to them, the noodles were totally dry, the rice not fully cooked.

We had another delicious meal for a reasonable price, and when you pick it up you even get a bag of prawn crackers for the same price, where else do you see that these days? 👍🏻

We always get the spring rolls specifically because they were so delicious. Yesterday, it was a completely different spring roll... the outside was a tough pancake with only bean sprouts and flavorless chicken pieces. It's a shame they seem to be skimping on quality here too.

A truly fantastic restaurant!!! I was just there with my stepfather. The owner is really nice; he even recognized me from last year now that I have braces. I'm currently experiencing severe depression, but I still had a few moments where I found myself laughing, which I actually didn't expect. The food was also really delicious and 100% worth the price.

The taste of the food is amazing—the chili oil is truly the best of the best among all the Chinese-Indonesian restaurants I’ve tried in the Netherlands. The Koe Loe Yuk (known as Kuluyuk in Indonesia) was a little different from what I’m used to. My family also runs an F&B business in Indonesia, and my mum always reminded me that every chef has their own style, so I was never allowed to criticize food—she even forbade me! 😅 So please take this not as criticism, but simply as a personal impression: the Kuluyuk had a thicker batter than I expected, almost like deep-fried banana balls. When it comes to rice, I tend to have very high standards. Here, the rice felt a bit more like plain white rice, and I personally missed the delicate, slightly sticky texture of Pandan or Jasmine rice that adds fragrance and flavor to Asian meals. Overall, the food was delicious, and with just a few small adjustments, it could be absolutely perfect.

Too bad the quality is declining, the bami speciaal wasn't that special anymore. Only two pieces of chicken, you really had to search for the leek and egg. Paying a lot, for less and less!! It was cold and only for the noodles (because I don't want to call it bami and can't). Dirty, cold, too expensive. No more Canton for me, after years of satisfaction. The spring roll is greasy and filled with bean sprouts. You have to imagine the chicken these days. Too bad.

Canton is highly recommended. The food was delicious. And just a classic Chinese restaurant in terms of decor. Great parking and friendly staff.

Always delicious food. There's been a recent renovation, but the scarf is still so cramped and narrow, so it's not very appealing when it's busy.

The restaurant is quite small and there were 2 rather noisy groups, which makes it not very pleasant. Taste is fine, but not special. The service paid little attention to us and the rest. And the big boss is not very communicative towards the guests. Doesn't greet you, puts the warming plates on the table without saying anything and plops the bill on the table without asking if you liked it. You can then wait 15 minutes for a card machine because they have already forgotten you. Just walked to the counter to pay. Too bad, no repeat for us.

The food was a bit bland. Especially the sauces. Shame.

Delicious food. Beef tenderloin very tender. Unfortunately, the gentleman who served us had earphones in and was not really friendly. The other staff was very friendly.

We always made it there! Food was always good until today! We had gotten food, came home to eat until my husband took a bite of his nasi and took a wireless earpiece of a phone out of his mouth. We called about this and oh yes, the cook had already lost it. He thought he had fallen to the ground. When we got our money back, the response was a bit giggly (among each other)... unfortunately we didn't take a picture (we were completely upset and forgot).

It's busy here, well it must be delicious!!! And that is correct. We had a fantastic meal and I can really recommend the tipan. I never had a better one. Even though it is busy, the service remains friendly and fast. Treat yourself and eat here!!! Make a reservation during the weekend.

Erg lekker gegeten op zaterdagavond. We hadden gelukkig gereserveerd want het was helemaal vol. De bediening was erg vriendelijk en snel.

Het eten is hier altijd super. Goede kwaliteit en heet. Bij de afhaal is het meestal superdruk. Als je er gaat eten is de service vriendelijk en goed. De sfeer is gezellig je merkt weinig van de drukte bij de afhaal omdat daar een speciale ruimte voor is.

Ik reis van de ene naar de andere kant van Zaandam om hier het Chinese eten te halen. Vriendelijk personeel en het belangrijkste het lekkere eten. Echt super.

This is what a Chinese restaurant should be. Some of the best food period. The staff are great and friendly. The atmosphere is what Chinese restaurants used to be like in the states, but the food was better than I have ever had in America. It makes me sad I can't run down the street and eat here anytime.

Diese Portionen sind kaum essbar. Da werden 2 Erwachsene satt, noch dazu super lecker. Wir haben nur Essen abgeholt deswegen kann ich für Service und Ambiente leider keine Sterne vergeben.
