Captain Cook in Centrum

The first two times we (a family of four, with two children aged 16 and 17) were very satisfied with the quality of the food, so on this Friday evening around 6:30, craving another one of those crispy, juicy chicken burgers and crunchy fries, we placed an online order. We had accidentally ordered two extra portions of fries (sweet potato fries at €6.25!) and one regular portion) because it wasn't clear that this was included. Upon unpacking, we immediately saw that the burgers had hardly any sauce, one stray slice of cucumber, some without anything on them at all, or a sliver of sticky green that had probably been a tiny lettuce leaf. So, it was a dry meal. And to our dismay, literally all the portions of fries (unfortunately, six in total) were not even cooked through and incredibly limp. The sweet potato fries were even stuck to the bag and had simply clumped together into a kind of mushy heap. Because it was also very little for that €6.25. It really seemed like a completely different person had taken the helm at this business.. I even checked the website to see if we could send an email about this experience, but that wasn't possible. So I'm writing this review anyway: because ultimately, you just want to be sure that when you order food, it is at least of standard quality. Of course, it is a bit tastier one time than another, but this was simply severely substandard. It is a real shame about this place, but this was definitely the last time for us.

After waiting 1.5 hours, a black burger bun with a red hamburger inside. I really never write reviews, but I threw this in the trash and just put the frozen pizza in instead.

The veal ribs are bizarrely good. Like literally, they astonished me.

I ordered two meals, received one, and it wasn't even complete! Then the restaurant didn't even acknowledge my order. This is a real shame, especially for a regular customer and former employee.

Delicious Asian-style beef ribs, only a bit of a shame they're a bit small with quite a bit of bone. The fries were also nice and crispy (not as limp as at many other snack bars/restaurants). The salad was also good (a bit too much lettuce and little else, but it tasted great). Ordering for takeout through their own website is also a bit cheaper, so that's definitely recommended. Overall, 9/10, would order again.

I was craving a burger and ordered it here. What a huge disappointment. The burger had little flavor, but what you tasted was a chemically bitter taste. The meat was completely overcooked and dry, while the bun was soaked with water and juice. I threw the burger away after a few bites. The calamari was clearly overcooked, but at least it tasted okay. The fries were limp and of very poor quality. I'll never order from here again.

Order the street food box, the pork Is nice and crispy with a good balance of greens and rice. Would recommend to anyone in Groningen

The food was tasty, but we thought the sauce on the shrimp was much too spicy. It was nice that there was a lot of salad with the dishes.

Ordered the Christmas Special box and it was super tasty.

We wouldn't advise against it, but we wouldn't recommend it either, the endive stew with meatball could have had more flavor, but my girlfriend left it alone. Sweet potato fries were overcooked and dry. Veal spareribs, on the other hand, turned out well, this was the plus point of the dish, delivery was also fast. 3/5!

Ordered today at work, Mexican burger ice cold and the French fries still just luke warm. Worth throwing away alone!

Cold food after waiting 1.5 hours, which was a shame... but the hamburger was still good cold, unfortunately the fries were no longer...

I am very satisfied with my food! I received a super friendly welcome and because I didn't know what I wanted I was guided through the menu. 10/10 service! The food was also great :)

I ordered the sweet potato stew and oriental salad. I loved both the dishes for its freshness and taste. I definitely found sweet potato stew an interesting and amazing dish. Totally recommending!!

Enkele weken geleden een wat mindere ervaring gehad (extreem lange levertijd en ijskoud eten). De volgende dag kreeg ik een telefoontje van Freek met excuses, toelichting én het aanbod voor een gratis bittergarnituurtje op ieder gewenst tijdstip. "Gewoon even bellen, dan regel ik het voor je". Op mijn aanbod om er iets voor te betalen of een beoordeling op Thuisbezorgd te verwijderen kreeg ik een duidelijke nee. Ze vonden dat ze fout zaten en wilden het goed maken zonder tegenprestatie. Heel vet van ze. Gisteren zaten we aan een sushi die niet te hakken was, dus toen maar Freek gebeld om alsnog iets lekkers te kunnen eten die avond. Binnen een kwartiertje stond de bezorger voor de deur met een bittergarnituur (echt geen klein garnituurtje). Om te zorgen dat het heet aan zou komen werd er zelfs een thermoskan heet water in de bezorgbak van de scooter gelegd. Volgens mij wordt een baby wordt nog slechter vervoerd dan dit, wat een eindbazen!

De hoofdmenu's moeten wel een beetje je smaak zijn, maar de toetjes....Mien god, wat zijn die fantastisch

Voor het eerst bij Captain Cook besteld en was zeer tevreden. Het eten was op tijd en warm! Verder was alles goed verzorgd en het smaakte heerlijk vooral de patatjes die waren lekker knapperig. Zeker een aanrader!👍

Je hebt spareribs en je hebt Captain Cook. Weet niet eens meer hoe vaak ik het besteld heb. Top service en altijd optijd! Bedankt!

Heerlijk om ook gewoon een normale en "gezonde" keuze te hebben bij thuisbezorgd.nl Gewoon lekker eten zoals je moeder of oma het maakt! En lekkere nagerechten. Zeker een aanrader als je geeen zin hebt om te koken maar eens wat anders wil dan chinees of pizza. Owja! En ze wisselen wel regelmatig in het menu wat het lekker afwisselend maakt

Heerlijk eten en snelle bezorging

Super lekker eten, lekkere toetjes, en voor ieder wat wils. Ik bestel heel vaak en altijd goede kwaliteit!

Blikje cola wat ik erbij kreeg was expired op 19-03-18. Eten was wel prima, maar check de datum op jullie blikjes voor je het uitlevert.

pasta en curry besteld en dit was heerlijk! Met superverse ingrediënten. Complimenten aan kok Gerard. En ook de levering was keurig binnen de tijd. Prima prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en dat bij je thuis op tafel. Jammie.

Echt heerlijke maaltijden. Leuk dat bijna alles vegetarisch kan. Verse maaltijden met zorg bereid. Kan niet anders zeggen dat ik vaker zal bestellen. Erg enthousiast!

5 jaar later en nog steeds geen eten. Slechte kapitein, eten was ook lauw :(

Vanavond laat nog eten besteld. Smaakt weer voortreffelijk en de koerier was net als altijd erg klantvriendelijk! Een aanrader
