Nice cafe with a good atmosphere, delicious beers and wines, friendly service and a cool cafe cat.

The owner is so friendly and there is an amazing selection of local beers - this place is in fact selected as one of the best biercafe’s in the Netherlands! No wonder - the owner has such an understanding of each beer and the story behind it, it’s so fascinating! Unfortunately I was only passing by on my way to Enkhuizen, but genuinely hope to be back!

Café Charlies in Hoorn is highly recommended, just 10 minutes outside the center. The location is quiet and atmospheric, perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home. A nice place to relax and enjoy!

Had a gift voucher during corona time, but unfortunately could not spend it and has now expired for two years. Tried a few times, but then the day was full/too short. Now it is refused, so the €45 is lost. They have every right to do so, but I think it is very poor service.

Nicest and coziest café in Hoorn

Great atmosphere....with wife, sister and brother-in-law Christmas box tour...and stopped at Charlies.....nice and good atmosphere and everything fun and laughing too. We will be there again next time. Also a top musician.

Super nette Location. Ganz hervorragender Wirt, der es versteht, seine Gäste glücklich zu machen. Gemütliche Einrichtung. Viele, viele leckere Sorten Bier. Komme gerne wieder hierher.

One of the best bars I've had the pleasure of visiting, not just in Hoorn or even the Netherlands. Spent a fantastic Saturday afternoon sampling the broad selection of beers, and enjoying the warm hospitality of the owner Frans. Will certainly go back when I'm in the area again and would recommend to anyone.

Ik was bij Charlies vanwege een Modelbouwdag. Georganiseerd door Modelbouwenzo. Gezellig proeflokaal waar zowel deelnemers als gasten door elkaar liepen op een vriendelijke gezellige manier.

Enorm leuk café, geweldige sfeer en heel hartelijke ontvangst.

Greatest bar in Hoorn by a long shot. If you like Gin, ask the very experienced bartenders about their selection. Very pleasurable and attentive.

Proeflokaal Charlies, zoals het officieel heet bevindt zich in hartje centrum Hoorn in een caférijke buurt. Gastheer Frans en gastvrouw Monica en hun staff hetennje vam harte welkom. Het is een heel gezellige kroeg, met een enorme keuze aan divere bieren, op tap en fles. Verder is er een pooltafel aanwzig en de hapjeskaart voor bittergarnituur . Het is er goed toeven als je met een vriendengroep op stap bent. Een echte aanrader!!!

Veel aparte biersoorten van de tap en verder natuurlijk de nodige soorten in de fles. Gezellige uitstraling, de bediening weet veel van bier. Ik voelde mij direct thuis.

We went here during a busy Friday. There were not many people. Had 2 pints of beer, toasted sandwich and shared chips. Food good and reasonably priced.Waitress helpful and cheerful. Toilets are downstairs and the stairs and very steep. Damp smell downstairs. Toilet area could do with an update. If the cafe wants to get more custom, I suggest make it more appealing from outside as it looks very dark when looking in. Would visit again.
