Chinees-Indisch Restaurant Peking in Wijk 00 Baarn

Visited here for the first time yesterday. Extremely disappointing. The service was poor, we were left to our own devices, and it took almost 2 hours for the main course to arrive. The rice noodles turned out to be raw, the Indonesian rijsttafel had nothing Indonesian about it, just Chinese, a total lack of vegetables, and the meat was far too salty. Things went wrong at other tables as well. Tipan filled the whole place with smoke and fumes. It smelled clearly burnt too. No, those days are gone.

What a lovely afternoon we had here on Stationsweg. The atmosphere on the terrace is incredibly pleasant, and it is the perfect place to relax in the sunshine. The food was truly fantastic. The variety of dishes in the steam baskets was particularly good, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. The presentation also looked neat. We enjoyed every bite. The service was friendly, and the drinks arrived quickly. We will certainly be back soon for a repeat visit. Highly recommended for everyone in Baarn.

The price-quality ratio is completely off. Since they are the only Chinese place in Baarn, after two others closed down, it seems like prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Come up with some real Chinese food for a change, not something that has been made for half a century. People want something different for a change. There is nothing Chinese about it, by the way. Certainly not the price. I won't be going there anymore. I can make that nasi better myself.

My two children, aged 2 and 3, wanted to use the restroom, and the lady was very unfriendly towards them. She then demanded 1 euro per child to be allowed to pee. That is a reason why I would not order or eat there, and I hope the lady is happy with that 2 euros!

The ingredients were fresh, the prices reasonable.

The food looked nice, but the vegetables were undercooked, really hard, and the meat (chicken and beef) was not tasty, tough, and the chicken was of low quality. The rice with ham we were served seemed to have been reheated in the microwave yesterday; the ham was grey and dried out. The atmosphere and service were fine, but there was a dead fly on the windowsill; not pleasant to look at while eating. After indicating that the food was not to our liking, and having barely eaten any of it, we received a surprised reaction. It is already quite difficult to be honest about this, so it would have been nice if some form of compensation had been offered, but none was forthcoming. For €0.55, you expect something tasty that is well prepared. Very disappointing that this turned out to be wasted money and food. Because no compensation was offered, I am giving the service 1 star.

The one and only best Chinese restaurant in Baarn is still around!

Best Chinese restaurant in Baarn! Lovely patio with a large garden. Great for kids. Bring a ball.

We ate here on May 22nd. Beautiful terrace. The starter looked delicious and tasted good, but........ then a group of Neanderthals settled down on the terrace; they had apparently had drinks elsewhere first. They were extremely loud and showed absolutely no consideration for the rest of the guests. The staff seemed fine with it because the group was good for revenue. After I mentioned it to one of the group members, their volume actually turned down. However, the service suddenly deteriorated significantly for us; it was clear they would rather be rid of us than have us around. After the main course (the Peking duck was very dry and contained a lot of bone or sinew, the Tiepan was good), the staff didn't even bother to ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. We won't be going back here!

The woman taking orders barely speaks Dutch, and you have to repeat everything four times. Then, if she makes a mistake serving fish instead of chicken, they act as if it is chicken. Well, my wife almost threw up because she doesn't eat fish! After 10 years at Peking, I won't be coming here anymore. It's a shame; since it changed owners, it's much worse.

The food was amazing again. Great, friendly staff and a beautiful location.

The ingredients were fresh, the prices reasonable, the atmosphere pleasant, and the service attentive. It was a very good experience and I can highly recommend it!

Visited here for the first time and pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, no small portions like nowadays, but well-filled containers. Lots of chicken in the tomato soup (you often have to search for it, but absolutely not here). This is going to be our new go-to takeout ❤️

Very tasty and great atmosphere!!! 🤗🤗🤗

The food was sooooo delicious and fresh. Nice people.

Since the new owner took over, things have been deteriorating. Takeout takes precedence over sit-down diners. When complaints arise, the owner simply shrugs and has his staff resolve them, who then point fingers at each other. After waiting an hour and a half for a plate of lukewarm noodles, we left.

Delicious take-away food, great!

Great restaurant! Reservations are often required...

The food was delicious, but the restrooms need some attention. They're really outdated, and the entire seat (with lid) in the men's restroom fell to the floor when I used it. Otherwise, the atmosphere is good and the service is pleasant.

We had Christmas dinner and found it very tasty and the service was very friendly.

You can eat really delicious food here and the STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY

Meanwhile, in the context of everyone makes mistakes and there is also a new owner, another attempt was made to dine here. As I indicated earlier, the quality is high. The service is now also much more attentive and they seem to have that point in order. So, definitely recommended to eat some nice Chinese food, especially the Peking duck, with that they do their name justice.

Delicious takeaway and restaurant

After my sister's funeral, together with mother and brother, on the way back we ate an Indonesian rice table at this cozy restaurant. Delicious, we were able to end this sad day with a good feeling in this way!

Just had a very good meal here and very nice service. We will come here more often☺️

Enjoyed an excellent Chinese rice table. Dishes could be replaced upon request.

This restaurant is, in a word, great. Delicious food and excellent service.

Excellent meal again. Nice and quiet à la carte around lunchtime on Boxing Day

Chinese. That's all. Not less either

Excellent Chinese food to eat or take away.

Was bad 👎 vegetables not stir-fried long enough, tough, large pieces and undercooked. The nasi was greasy and didn't seem like the grain was too small.

Delicious food and pleasant, attentive service. The babi pangang of lean bacon is highly recommended!

Delicious food and friendly service, highly recommended!

I got Babi Pangang takeaway and it was delicious They have a wide choice for takeaway food The staff is very friendly

Good and friendly service. We had the Peking Duck Menu and it looked and tasted fantastic.

My 3 table guests and I enjoyed it. Everything well seasoned, not too salty, crispy vegetables, delicious meat. Thai dish, excellent...nice and spicy (good against colds 😄)

Good Chinese restaurant with traditional menu

Really delicious food. Had the Asian tapas, everything was freshly prepared

Loved the food and service! Very fresh and authentic!

Been before, but this time not great. A bit "boiled dry" Fast service and free prawn crackers for large orders

Lekker , Babi Ketjap gehaald en pangsit

Gezellige chinees. Peking menu mag spannender.

Goed restaurant, heerlijk eten!

Very friendly staff and delicious food

Echte aanrader.

De Chinese tapas! Verrukkelijk! Bediening ook zeer sympathiek…En prachtige ligging

Prima Chinees-Indisch restaurant.

Vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk plekje!

Babi Pangang spek gegeten. De moeite van het omrijden waard.

Enthousiaste en vriendelijke bediening. Heerlijk gegeten.

Heerlijk eten goede service hele aardige eigenaar.

Altijd prima eten, vriendelijk personeel, in de zomer prachtig terras.

Heerlijke maaltijden en veel keus. Voor een prima prijs.

Beste chinees/Indisch restaurant!
