Cozy Next door - ontbijt & lunch in Elst-Zuid

Unfriendly staff. I felt like they were ridiculing us when I asked how big the toasted sandwich was, since it was on the breakfast menu and we were there for lunch. I understand that a toasted sandwich is two sandwiches stacked together, but I wondered if it came with a salad, for example, and if it was a small portion, whether I should order something else. The food was okay. Sometimes a bit plain, and as a decoration, you get one grape and one slice of mandarin orange. There were also pieces of it in the chai latte. We did get plenty of tea, and the restaurant itself had nice furniture and a cozy atmosphere.

Had a great meal and was spoiled at Cozy Next Door. A very warm welcome upon arrival. Clear information about the brunch. Nicely displayed bread, toppings, fresh fruit and pancakes. The atmosphere is cozy and also fresh and fruity, beautiful in the orchard theme. Nice pot of tea on the table and we were regularly asked if we had any wishes.

What a gem on the edge of the main street in Elst. A really nice/cozy place where hostess Inge makes you feel completely at home and pampers you with an all-day breakfast concept. The brioche is delicious and so are all the other goodies from the buffet. Everything is clean and neatly polished. We will definitely come back. Thank you Inge for the fun for my 2 sisters and I.

A breakfast/lunch restaurant that, in my opinion, belongs at a bed and breakfast. The restaurant is themed around the Betuwe region. It's cozy with flowers and matching tableware, though the atmosphere is somewhat reminiscent of a canteen. Whether this is due to the chairs, the kitchen, or the ceiling, I don't know. We had a Social deal, which included toasted brioche with a juice and then a buffet. The brioche had a choice of different flavors, which was fine. I didn't particularly enjoy the juice; I found it too watery. After our brioche and juice, we were invited to the buffet. The buffet consists of various rolls (croissants, buns) and thick pancakes (I don't know if these are homemade). You can top these with various sweets such as chocolate sprinkles, Speculoos, jam, pasta, etc., as well as savory options. There are various cheeses, but you can't slice them yourself; you have to ask for them. I found this a bit awkward, but maybe that's because I felt a bit awkward with the waitress anyway. There's also a tea towel over the rolls, which is hygienic in itself, but doesn't really encourage me to go back to get something, even though I understand that's allowed. In principle, it was fine for a one-time visit, and I think if you're staying at a bed and breakfast, it's handy, but apart from the brioche, it doesn't really add anything special for me. 1) Terrible! I advise against it, I'll never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't be back. 3) Okay, nothing wrong with it, but nothing special, nice for a one-time visit. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend it, I'll definitely be back!

The coffee challate and homemade apple pie were delicious, also a very nice atmosphere with a very sweet waitress, definitely worth a visit

I sat here late morning through lunch. Good coffee, tasty tea, excellent lunch with very friendly and kind service. It's that I don't live nearby, otherwise I would have come here more often.

Nice people, a nice feeling of knowing our bed and breakfast. Salmon sandwich is delicious! brightly decorated, everything nicely cared for and clean. Super nice old-fashioned tableware which makes the atmosphere even better. You are really served at your beck and call, friendly, caring.

By chance we were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast here early on Sunday morning. Never before had we experienced such warmth as the owner Inge...This place is worth a detour. Manu and Frank send love from Wuppertal!

We enjoyed a delicious breakfast here and a warm hostess. There was plenty of choice at the buffet and there were many regional products from the Betuwe and Elst. With some breakfast products I suspect that they come from the supermarket, such as pancakes, but that does not make them any less tasty. The smoothies are certainly made in-house and are very fresh. Inside there is a pleasant temperature due to the air conditioning that can also heat nicely and there is a modern toilet room. I don't really understand why the crockery has to radiate old-fashionedness, but that is personal, perhaps all other guests think Boerenbond is a good combination with this modern design. I would have liked to see that a teapot had been put on the table that I saw standing on another table. Now you always have to ask if you can still have a cup of tea. Small point, but I still want to mention it.

Had breakfast here this morning via Social Deal. Very nice hostess. Delicious food. The brioche with red fruit was amazing! Grand Cru cheese also very tasty! We will definitely come back :).

Gezellig ontbijt en lunch restaurant, persoonlijke bediening en heel relaxed ontbeten. Eten was zelfgemaakt en lekker. Als we in de buurt zijn komen we zeker nog eens terug! Zeker een aanrader!

Dit is een leuke plek in een zijstraat van de grote winkelstraat. Lekker eten, geen standaard kaart en een sympathieke gastvrouw. Aanrader in Elst!

The best meetings are the ones that you can have in a location where you feel welcome and looked after. Cozy Next door is such a place, and much more. The hosts (Inge and her husband) are absolutely fabulous. They welcome you warmly, and make sure you are immediately feeling comfortable. The menu has a balanced selection and everything (from food to drinks) is prepared with loving attention and skill. The interior is inviting, clean, and bright. I highly recommend this place and will certainly be back.

Via social deal gevonden, Wij komen zelf uit Spijkenisse. Voor familie bezoek in Elst Wat een fijne zaak met vriendelijke gastvrouw. Heel erg schoon en voortreffelijk uitgebreide brunch genuttigd. Zeker aan te raden. Kan 5 sterren geven, welke zeker verdiend zijn

Echt en heel leuke, schattige cafe! Ontbijt buffet is lekker en zelf gemaakt, personelijk en warm. Je merkt dat de eigenaresse veel liefde en tijd stopt in haar werk. Wij komen graag terug ;)

Cosy next door, het eten wordt met liefde bereid en dat is te proeven, ik kom hier nu al regelmatig super lekker een ontbijtje zelfs om 15:00 uur nog. Inge is heel toegankelijk en gastvrij! Een aanrader en een duurzame toevoeging voor Elst !
