Damianz in Wijk 00 Centrum

We were there for a birthday, and it was a 10/10. The service was excellent, yet not stiff or pretentious. The location is super cool and modern. We found the Damianz menu delicious, and the option to swap lamb was no problem either. Absolutely recommended. Whether it's for an anniversary, birthday, or any other special occasion.

Excellent experience overall. The chef’s menu was creative and well-executed, with thoughtful wine pairings that went beyond the usual. Everything was spot on, except maybe for the entrecote, which felt a bit underwhelming compared to the rest. Service was impeccable.

Beautiful restaurant, stylish and peaceful, in Roermond's former prison. Delicious food, an enthusiastic sommelier who expertly explained his wine selections. Friendly service, attentive and enthusiastic, ensuring their guests have a wonderful evening. Compliments to the chef and the team. We had a wonderful evening.

We really had a very nice evening. The staff is really friendly. The restaurant looks really amazingly beautiful. It is more than worth it to go there for dinner. We had chosen the Chef's 6 course menu and we really enjoyed all the dishes. All the dishes not only looked fantastic, but they also tasted really fantastic. We definitely recommend people to not only go there for dinner, but also to stay overnight. Because everything has been brought back to how a prison looked, only modernized, but how fantastic to have a prison door when you walk into your room, all the toilets of the guests have a prison door, where names and dates were also on. Wat 'n beleving, in één woord geweldig... Zo'n feest om daar 'n avond door te brengen. Personeel alles in de gaten, zijn echt in de watten gelegd.

5 gangen chef menu. Smaken te vlak, minimalistische porties. Ster zit er zeker niet in en ook niet de 16 punten van Gault Milleau. Prijs kwaliteit staat niet in verhouding. Jammer

Very good fusion restaurant. The portions seem very small but tasty and at the end of 6 courses ,unexpectedly you are full.. different savors and flavors are mixed very professionnally.worrh trying..

We hebben genoten van het 6-gangen Chef’s menu met bijpassend (halve glazen) wijn arrangement. Eten is heel mooi op smaak. Creatieve combinaties. Bediening is ook uiterst vriendelijk en attent. Qua eten zeker tegen een Michelin ster aan, maar door het geheel nét niet. Zeker een aanrader voor wie van lekker eten houdt! Had verwacht ook vegetarische opties op de kaart te zien, maar dat was niet het geval. Ook niet naar gevraagd overigens.

Today we were able to enjoy a sensationally good menu at Damianz. The ambience in the former prison is stylish, the service perfect, the atmosphere warm and relaxed... and what the kitchen conjured up, from the first amuse-bouches to the petit fours, were such tasty works of art that we simply can't believe that the Michelin Guide hasn't awarded any stars here yet. We'd love to be in this prison again soon!

Prachtig restaurant met top bediening, Mooie wijnen, de borden ziin erg mooi , maar beloofde smaken zijn ver te zoeken. Erg vlak en minimaal.

Mooie, rustige ambiance en ruim opgezet indeling. Het menu is mooi uitgelanceerd. Zeer vriendelijke en attente bediening. Héél klein minpuntje vind ik de keuze van de wijn. En de altijd blijvende ergernis van de prijs voorb plat water.

Het (klassieke) menu brengt een explosie van smaken. In de amuses en de voorgerechten af en toe even een verassende zoete toets. Het is makkelijk om die niet te laten conflicteren met de wijn. Doe de ‘wine pairing’.

Heerlijk gegeten; zeer divers en bijzondere gerechten. Service door Milou van goede klasse. Alles bij elkaar een hele fijne ervaring.

Well what can I say?? Everything is perfect! The food is always beautiful and prepared with the utmost care and love. The staff cleans everything up silently and ensures that everything is ready for the next course. Yet there is always time for a nice chat. It feels festive every time to be here!

The food at this restaurant is exceptional, and I highly recommend the chef's tasting menu. Every dish, from the appetizers to the main courses, was astonishing, especially the beef, which might be the best I've ever had. The staff's service was also very warm and friendly, making us feel truly welcome. Unfortunately, due to a friend needing to catch a flight and us having to catch the last train back to Utrecht, we missed out on dessert. We apologize to the chef for this and hope to return next time to enjoy the full dining experience.

Damianz is fantastic. It is truly incredible how David, at his young age, is such a fantastic host. Our son has been there several times now and is always recognized by David, which makes his experience here unforgettable. The food is excellent and certainly star-worthy.

Highly recommended! We ate the chef's menu for lunch. It was really enjoyable, the appetizers give a nice glimpse into the kitchen, some tastier than others. All dishes are correct and the accompanying wines are good. Management is interested and knowledgeable. All in all we had a very successful afternoon here!

Wat een verbluffend heerlijk restaurant! Een symfonie aan smaken gecombineerd met heerlijke bijpassende wijnen. Een hoffelijke maar toch leuke bediening in een heel mooi kader. We kwamen hier bij toeval maar komen zeker terug. Proficiat aan de buitengewone Chef en zijn team: absolute TOP!

Great attentive and knowledgeable service, everything with a smile and a good explanation of each course and wine pairing. The dishes from the kitchen: fantastic, amazing combinations and taste experiences, beautiful presentation of the dishes on the plates (which are very warm/hot when the dish requires it), excellent portion size for a 7-course menu. We all had a real experience last night, definitely worth repeating!!

Buiten was het regenachtig en fris weer, maar binnen kregen wij een warm onthaal, een gezellige entourage en uiterst vriendelijk personeel. De amuses en de geserveerde gerechten zijn niet alleen een lust voor het oog het eten is daarnaast verfijnd, gevarieerd en heerlijk van smaak. Mooi detail, als je even de tafel verlaat wordt het servet weer keurig gevouwen teruggelegd op tafel. Geweldige service. Unieke ervaring, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Michelinster waardig!

A super restaurant, definitely worthy of a Michelin star. Super nice service and explanation of each dish. The choice was the Damianz 5-course menu with the PDO wine arrangement. From Eel-Eggplant-Seafood-Calfribeye to Pandan. In our experience, it was 10 courses that required you to have lunch for more than 3 hours. A different wine with each course. An experience that you should not miss. Well worth the money. Dishes were served without any problem. allergies adjusted.

We had the 8-course chef's menu...with amuse gueule it became 12. I'm not a restaurant critic...so I just don't have the words for this exceptional meal and the lovely, friendly service. It's incomprehensible that Damianz doesn't yet have a Michelin star. Thank you for an unforgettable gourmet evening on my birthday.

ondanks een goede beoordeling in gault millau vond ik het eten maar matig en de bijhorende zeer karig (Hollands ?) bediend De prijs echter was wel niet goedkoop. Mooi ietwat donker interieur. wat lange wachttijden tussen de gerechten Er is nog wat bij te schaven

We were there as hotel guests and were lucky enough to get a table in the restaurant at short notice for Saturday evening. It was a delight, every course was beautifully prepared and so delicious! The service was very courteous and attentive. We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back at any time. Many thanks again to the whole team for this wonderful culinary evening.

Exquisite experience! The restaurant is part of the Van der Valk Hotel Het Arresthuis. There is a Damianz menu and a more exclusive chef's menu with 4 to 6 courses. Every dish is a firework of flavor and there was nothing we didn't like or couldn't finish. It's worth a visit, but plan on at least 3 hours to finish the whole set including dessert/cheese platter in peace and serenity. Advance reservation is essential.

Enjoyed a delicious meal this evening with delicious wines. Great service, great atmosphere, absolutely great. This restaurant deserves a Michelin star as soon as possible 🌟

July 2023: Stayed in the Arresthuis, but could no longer make a reservation in Damianz. (all fully booked). A sign that it is very good. Be sure to reserve in advance. Another time... we will definitely return.

Fantastische beleving! Samen met vrienden genoten van een heerlijk diner @damianz. We genoten een warm welkom door een zeer attente bediening, informeel, correct en vakkundig. Het welkom werd begeleidt door een fris glaasje mousserende wijn uit Italië met diverse fingerfoods. Vervolgens ging onze keuze uit naar het 5-gangen Damians-menu. De gerechten waren subliem en uitgebalanceerd van smaak qua consistentie, zoet, zuur en umami. De keuken is in de loop der jaren qua uitvoering enorm gegroeid, chapeau voor Chef Jeroen en zijn team ! En ook niet te vergeten de witte brigade, helemaal top, vakkundig, correct en toch ongedwongen. Al met al zeker een culinaire ervaring die we nog eens graag willen vervolgen !

Tweede kerstdag 2022 verbleven we in Hotel Het Arresthuis in Roermond. In de avond hebben we een zesgangendiner gegeten in het in het hotel gelegen restaurant Damianz. Het is een sfeervolle ruimte alwaar wij zeer gastvrij werden ontvangen. De bediening was buitengewoon vriendelijk. Het diner was van hele goede kwaliteit en zeer smaakvol. Hetzelfde kan gezegd worden over de extra kleine hapjes en de amuse, het was allemaal heel erg goed. Het mooie hotel in combinatie met het fantastische eten in Damianz maakt dat we zeker nog een keer terug gaan komen. Een echte aanrader!!

Geweldige ervaring, alles droeg er aan bij, het prachtige pand, de vriendelijke attente bediening en het heerlijke eten met goede wijncombi. De bediening deed haar werk duidelijk met veel plezier, de sfeer was ongedwongen en de gerechten goed op smaak en prachtig opgemaakt. De fingerfood vooraf was verrassend en erg lekker!

Eten was super, respect voor de creativiteit van het team in de keuken. Voor de uitstekende kwaliteit van het eten en de service was de prijs nog niet eens heel hoog, dat betekent dus 4x per maand hier eten met het geld van de studiefinanciering.

Das Essen ist einzigartig. Die Essenskreationen sind mit viel Liebe zubereitet und einfach nur top. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr bemüht und aufmerksam. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Vielen lieben Dank an Damianz-Team für einen unvergesslichen Abend.

Een omweg waard zoals Michelin dat zo mooi aangeeft want met gerechten hoog op smaak uit 3 te kiezen menu’s met een mooie presentatie op het bord ziet de toekomst er zonnig uit. Mooie wijnen en bij twijfel geen discussie. De zwarte brigade is op dreef en heeft kennis van zaken. Een plek om vaker te bezoeken al dan niet met een hotelovernachting

Lekkere lunch.. chefs menu 3 gangen. Weer top verzorgd, genieten.
