Played the Forest Escape game with family, with coffee and cake beforehand and a drink with snacks afterwards. Very nice fantasy game for young and old, highly recommended! Nice place. Plenty of parking. Nice terrace and playground. It is located in the forest. We booked the Forest Escape here for a large group. That is very nice, for both children and adults (mixed) this was a successful adventure. You are busy with it for 2 hours and make a nice walk. We also had coffee with cake, a lunch and then a drink with a bittergarnituur. Everything neatly taken care of, good taste and served with a smile. I can recommend going here once and certainly to do this activity for a family day, for example.

Had lunch with my son. Surroundings and location beautiful. But the lunch and ice coffee WAY too expensive, what you get. I was shocked how much I had to pay.

Nice place to start or end a walk. You can sit outside, just outside or inside. Space to play for children. Delicious different types of tea on the menu. Ginger tea with orange or 'dirty' chai latte (this contains a shot of espresso) are definitely recommended. In a display case were the pastries to go with coffee (or tea of ​​course), of which the apple pie looked delicious. Staff friendly. Sanitary facilities looked neat. Parking is possible next to the De Boswachter site and is free. Ideal for a nice chat with someone or to enjoy something tasty or a healthy meal after a walk with your family. We had lunch there and then went for a walk through the adjacent forest. The food was excellent and the combination with the sun made it complete. The adjacent forest offers a nice opportunity for a walk before or after lunch.

Ok I was here on a Saturday and it was pretty good, but I came on Sunday and my group waited 45 minutes for our drinks and we still missed one, we didn't even want to order snacks so we paid and left (we had chocolate milk with whipped cream and when we got it the whipped cream looked like it had been there for at least 5 minutes and it was no longer warm)

Location is very nice including the decoration. Despite being fairly quiet, the service was slow. Pulled chicken sandwich was black. Second attempt was better, but given the price it was poor and substandard. My wife had the madder sandwich which was good.

Bad service, it all took a very long time. Order also went wrong. Price performance disproportionate. We won't be going back for a while.

We like to visit the Forest Ranger in the summer. Lovely on the terrace. Friendly staff. Now for a high tea. Delicacies with high tea are excellent. We found that a downside was that we had to pay for the coffee separately at checkout (without being told in advance). At most restaurants you can choose from coffee or tea without an additional charge.

Just discovered this nice cozy restaurant. A must for a nice coffee, lunch or dinner.

Upon arrival we were assigned a table next to the new children's playground. I indicated that I had reserved a spot under the veranda, so we had to make a switch. Very nice if you don't want to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the kids who are of course happily playing there. We are helped quickly with food and drinks. However, the pulled chicken sandwich was a bit disappointing. Without fries it looked pretty poor for lunch. So we still ordered the fries. These stayed away for more than half an hour, after which we received an apology and they still appeared on the table. All in all a very nice place to have a cup of coffee. But we will have a quiet, hearty lunch elsewhere from now on :) The service itself was very nice!

Very nice to be able to have lunch here after a walk in the woods. However, the price-quality is not in balance. More than 55 euros for 2 fries with mayo, a sandwich with 2 croquettes and a meager salmon salad with 4 drinks, I thought was quite expensive.

We had to order food ourselves, because the girl couldn't drink anything, and then had to wait 1 hour for a few croquettes. Badly organised!

What a wonderful environment to enjoy lunch. It is a real family terrace with groups and families whose children enjoy the play facilities. The lunch itself tastes good but not above average. Apparently there is a shortage of staff here. Although those present are very understanding, people often ask how long it will take. A waiting time of nine hours is the rule rather than the exception for lunch that is too long. So it's useful to bring good conversation partners. Orders are also incomplete. In short, there are still many improvements to be made, the place is worth it.

Cozy place with good play opportunities for the kids. Had a nice seat and a nice drink. The controls really need to be trained a bit better; orders are not coming and I regularly see those girls with a tray looking around to see where it should go. A bit of a headless chicken idea. After we ordered, we were asked 3 times what we wanted to drink, but then half of the order did not arrive and 2 different girls came to ask what we had ordered again. At 5:00 PM the chip shop was already closed and 5 minutes later there was nothing to order at all.

We had a wonderful time at the Forest Ranger yesterday afternoon. We celebrated our 85th birthday there with our entire family (children, grandchildren and even three great-grandchildren, a total of 27 people). From 3 to 7 we were provided with coffee and cake in a pleasant manner, followed by drinks and various delicious snacks. Towards the end we also received a delicious wild mushroom or tomato soup of our choice. We have nothing but praise for the service, very friendly and very attentive. It was a pleasure, there is no better place than the forester's. The older ones were well catered for and the little ones had a great time in the beautiful play area. Most are pieces of tree trunk that stand upright. A nice sight and great for drinking coffee but not for lunch. Furthermore, the service took a very long time. Food was also fine.

Lekker gegeten, duurde soms wat aan de lange kant voor je iets kon bestellen of het leeggoed werd weggehaald. Verder erg gezellig en aardig personeel

Mooi plekje om het eindcoordinaat uit te rekenen van de geocache. Gezeten op het terras, bediening is niet supersnel, gewoon relaxed. Veel jankende kinderen om ons heen, waar overigens wel veel faciliteiten voor zijn. Ook hondjes kunnen even bijtanken. Bitterballen waren erg lekker en heet. Aanradertje, zeker als de parkeerplaats niet vol is.

Wij komen hier graag en regelmatig. Goede service en lekker eten. En genieten van de natuur!

Leuk restaurant aan de rand van het bos. In een oase van rust geniet je hier van een drankje of de lunch

Heerlijk gezeten, in vuur en vlam, is een aanrader. Een heerlijk bitter biertje icm een bitterbal.

Hier ben je echt in een andere wereld en kan je genieten van heerlijke gerechten op een een plek in het bos.

Heerlijk rustig midden in de bossen. Lekker buiten in de schaduw gezeten maar ook de mogelijkheid voor in de zon te zitten. De appeltaart punten zijn echt groot. Een aanrader.

Op zondagochtend een keer ergens anders gaan wandelen en op aanraden hier beland, een hele toffe verrassing! Even op het bordje letten vanaf de doorgaande weg, maar de weg leidt naar een ruime parkeerplaats. Na een mooie wandeling aangeschoven voor een kopje koffie & heerlijk in de schaduw op het terras gezeten. Veel natuur en vogels om vanaf het terras naar te loeren voor de liefhebber :) Voor de hond was er een bak water beschikbaar, dus we zijn een hete dag rustig begonnen. *Parkeer bij aankomst direct links voor een plekje wat in de ochtend fijn in de schaduw blijft.

Altijd fijn om na het wandelen in de bossen uit te rusten met een kop thee. De vogeltjes zijn nieuwsgierig genoeg om bij je langs te wippen voor koekkruimeltjes. Veel honden buiten op het terras; fijne en gemoedelijke sfeer. En groot pluspunt; leuke speelplaats voor de kinderen. Geen ingewikkelde speeltoestellen; gewoon zand, gras en een schaduwdoek.

Heel leuke tent tijdens een wandeling of fietstocht.

Hele mooie omgeving en een knusse horeca De Boswachter. Al vaker geweest, maar blijft lang duren voor je wordt aangesproken om iets te drinken of eten. Vooral in de zomerperiode. Afgelopen vrijdag gaan lunchen met onze dochter. Het was 13.15 uur dus spits al voorbij, was ook niet druk. Helaas konden we 30 minuten geen eten bestellen omdat de kok een groep van 9 personen had waar een salade voor gemaakt moest worden. Erg jammer. We zijn gegaan. Zo hebben we vaker gehad dat het erg lang duurt voordat het eten er is. Extra kok ? Of keuken te klein om al je zitplaatsen te bedienen? Al was het afgelopen vrijdag niet druk. Naast de 9 personen , gok ik nog 10 andere mensen op het terras en wij met 2 andere mensen binnen.

Een mooie locatie waar we 'toevallig' langs kwamen tijdens het geocachen. Even een kopje koffie met appeltaart genomen. Heerlijk zo midden in de natuur even lekker rustig genieten. De bediening was vriendelijk en koffie, appeltaart en tosti waren heerlijk. Mochten we weer een keer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker terug.

Leuke, gezellige locatie, gastvrij personeel. Vanuit deze plek kun je mooi een wandeling maken in het nabijgelegen bos.

Leuke boswandeling gemaakt en denken ff een lekkere lunch en een warme chocomel te nuttigen maar honden verboden ...jammer voor een restaurant in de bossen ...

Prachtig dat de wandelaars(groepen) erwtensoep kregen met kroket of frikadel,maar de gewone passant niets van de kaart konden krijgen
