Once again, we had a delicious meal at the Great Wall of China. The three-course Tipan menu is highly recommended! Including mini spring rolls or chicken soup as a starter. The main course featured various types of meat and your choice of rice or nasi goreng. Finally, a delicious sundae of ice cream with whipped cream. As always, the service was personal and friendly. Excellent!

It is a very cozy Chinese restaurant. The staff is incredibly friendly and goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They also offer nice suggestions for the dishes.

I've been a regular customer here for the past 9 years, and I've always had a great experience. The buffet and the à la carte menu offer a wide variety of dishes, including pork, beef, chicken, fish, and vegetable options. The prices are very reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality and selection. On the rare occasion that something hasn't been quite right, the staff have always been friendly, attentive, and quick to resolve the issue. I remember one visit when the fried shrimp had run out from the buffet. I mentioned it to one of the waitresses, and just five minutes later she came to my table with a plate of three freshly prepared shrimp. It was a thoughtful gesture that I really appreciated. I honestly don't understand some of the negative reviews. At the end of the day, it's a restaurant staffed by people who work hard. If you treat them with kindness and respect, you'll most likely receive the same in return, and I'm confident you'll have an enjoyable dining experience.

We go there regularly; it is a beautiful, classic Chinese-Indonesian restaurant where they truly have a passion for the business. The atmosphere is right, the service is okay, and it tastes great every time. Exactly how a ‘Chinese’ restaurant should be.

A great evening with delicious food and good company. The rice noodles were initially forgotten, but arrived a little later with apologies and a smile. The hostess was spontaneous, and that works wonders.

Friendly people. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not very special. The Foe Yong Hai looked more like scrambled eggs with chili sauce. The Babi Pangang lacked the familiar bite and the sauce was thin. Little flavor. A shame.

We opted for the buffet. Not a huge selection, but perfectly fine if you're not vegetarian or enjoy fish. The grills are set to very hot, so you'll only really enjoy them if you're there on time or just refilled, otherwise some of the food won't be as tasty or crunchy. The food tasted good, but like all Chinese food, it was a bit salty. The fried plantains were unfortunately made with underripe plantains, which did affect the flavor. The chicken satay was very tasty, and the beef was also juicy, for example. We would order from the menu next time instead of the buffet.

I was there for the first time. I tried the buffet with friends. It was good that they indicated what was halal and what wasn't. I thought the service was good. The food was delicious, and the free ice cream was very tasty. I'm very satisfied. I recommend it. I want to eat out again.

It might seem a bit excessive that I've given it all the stars, but I have nothing to complain about. I went out for dinner with a friend at the Great Wall of China in Leiderdorp on Saturday evening, January 24, 2026. After a very friendly welcome, we had a drink and then ordered a set menu. This was served politely and friendly by a young man who was very polite. The food was excellent. This didn't surprise me, as I've been ordering takeout and delivery for years. The next positive surprise came at the checkout: a surprisingly low price. In short, excellent value for money. Thanks for a wonderful evening. And we hope to see you again soon. DICK VAN DIJK.

Cozy restaurant with good food and very friendly service

It's been a staple in Leiderdorp for years. And even though I no longer live there, my mother still does. We often order a delicious set menu for Christmas. There's a wide selection of dishes, so there's something for everyone. We went again for Christmas last year, and as usual, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is incredibly pleasant. I'll definitely try eating in the restaurant soon instead of just ordering in. The food is always top-notch, by the way. Honestly, they have the best Babi Pangang of any Chinese restaurant.

Been going here sinds the 90's and was always delicious, I assume they are under new managment as they have been making many changes for the better. However recently the taste has changed for the worse, Nasi no longer had any ham in it and flavours seem different in the Bami-pangang. The Foe Yong Hai was also slightly overcooked. All this in combination of the increasing prices. Has realy tarnished my opinion of their quality.

Ate here today. I am not known in Leiderdorp myself, but I went with an older person with an intellectual disability who lives nearby. Made a reservation in advance and indicated that it was his birthday. Parking is free, but to be honest, it is not well indicated where to go once you have parked, which was difficult for us for someone with a walker. Anyway, we found it. The food was really delicious, it was not busy and the food was on the table quickly. Staff was very friendly. For dessert, my table companion got an ice cream with a sparkler and they sang for him, he was completely happy. Our evening couldn't have been better, highly recommended!

Eating on Sunday for a fixed price

Very warm and spontaneous welcome by the owner. Nice atmosphere, not too busy. The menu is extensive, including a la carte, complete menus or a simple buffet. Quality is sufficient, not everyone was satisfied, but tastes differ. Dessert was delicious, and the special coffee instead of regular coffee was certainly appreciated. Portions were ample, so reason enough to take the leftover food home. After all, we want to be sustainable, right? Unfortunately, that's where things went wrong. What I expect in a restaurant is that you indicate what you want to take with you, that it is placed discreetly in containers in the kitchen, after which it is presented neatly in a bag. Unfortunately, that was not the policy here: we were asked how many containers (at 50 cents per container) we needed to fill them ourselves at the table, among the other guests. And there could be no deviation from that. The reason for this was the rules imposed during the Covid period. And guests who preferred to fill the containers themselves. I have my doubts about this, especially after reading the regulations. Therefore only 3 and not 4 points for this visit.

Ordered Chinese, but also fries with a frikandel for our son. The photos will speak volumes, but the frikandel and the fries were really unacceptable, I have never had a tough, wrinkled frikandel, and the fries were limply overcooked. Too bad because the little one was without food, the Chinese dishes were somewhat reasonable (see photos) the fries and frikandel absolutely should not have gone out and should have been straight into the 🗑️.

Not very friendly customer service on the phone. She refused to give me estimated time of delivery and hanged phone up even before I finished talking.

Ordered spring roll and Thai chicken. Spring roll full of unpleasant bean sprouts with a earthy taste and diced chicken could be counted on one hand. Thai chicken not crispy and super salty, Everything goes straight into the container.

We ordered sushi and we were able to get it fairly quickly. The sushi rice was still completely warm, so SUPER fresh!!! Really enjoyed it😋 We also ordered mini spring rolls and they accidentally forgot them (it can happen). After a phone call, they delivered it to your home very quickly. Very good service🫶🏼 Very satisfied because the staff was incredibly friendly!!

Nasi and noodles with very few vegetables, mini satay tough and babipangan "over-cooked" and little taste, fried shrimp limp and meatballs tough... a la carte I suspect is better but the current buffet is very disappointing, service not special either. Had to ask for the tray with soy and drinks. Shame about my 70 birthday dinner with the children.. sanitary facilities in need of maintenance (toilet seat with cracks, ceiling panels broken/ gone) We do not recommend a buffet... because there is also plenty of choice for the children... too bad...

If I could I would give 0 stars. When we asked if they have vegan options, we received a very blunt answer, that we are extremist and they don't do that. Nice! It is extreme to unnecessarily kill animals, impregnate them against their will and exploit them for their own pleasure, take away the child from freshly-born mothers immediately after giving birth, shred chicks alive, that is extreme.👌🏻

Delicious varied food for a good price! Rice table "The Great Wall of China" for 4 to 5 people is 10! kilograms of Chinese and Indian dishes. Highly recommended for take away. Eating there is also pleasant with a good atmosphere and attentive staff.

Okay Mihoen Singapore, but for the first time I have experienced that the shrimp are breaded. Well, it was special too. Add a fried egg and enough curry. Relatively well priced: €20.50. Service young but friendly. Quite full for the Thursday evening we were there. Free parking in the garage at the shopping center.

The food is very bad, it has no taste. In my experience this is a very bad takeaway restaurant. I advise people not to go there. You get little food for your money and you can't eat it. Nowadays you get packages that have already been prepared. has deteriorated very badly and the peanut sauce is too watery and those spring rolls contain almost no chicken but more bean sprouts, this customer has already left, a bit of a shame after many years

We ate in the dining area. Food was tasty and served in good portions. The Indonesian options was great as well.

Wij halen hier alleen af. Restaurant kan ik niet beoordelen dus. Het eten dat wij afhalen is altijd ok. Je mist niks maar ook geen verassingen. Smaak is prima en hoeveelheid meer dan voldoende. De mensen zijn er “zakelijk vriendelijk”. We komen hier graag.

Op vrijdag 4.8 23 gegeten. Vooraf de peking soep. Vol met iets ondefinieerbare inhoud. Geen cq vieze smaak. Geruild voor wantan soep. Was iets beter. De chineese tomatensoep had een blik smaak. Zaten wel 3 stukjes echte tomaat in. Geroosterde peking eend besteld. Veel vet en niet krokant. De bijgeleverde saus er niet overheen laten gieten. Achteraf blij om. Saus was echt smerig. De nasi leek erg veel op witte rijst. Ook een bami goring chineese muur besteld. Was redelijk maar net geen voldoende. Al met al een teleurstelling. Was voor ons het laatste bezoek bij dit restaurant.

Tikkie ouderwetse chinees. Goed eten. Prima bediening

Wij bestellen regelmatig hier en is altijd heerlijk. Vanavond voor het eerst Thaise kip besteld deze was super.

Lekker eten. Hadden een groot maandmenu meegenomen en daar heerlijk 2x van gegeten.

Het eten was weer heerlijk. We hebben met 8 personen genoten van een 4 persoons menu. Er werd op tijd bezorgd in Roelofarendsveen. En dat voor 2,50 Euro bezorg kosten. Bijna 10 km vanaf het restaurant. 👍

Lekker eten en aardige bediening

Op moederdag eten besteld, en hoe attent is het, als de bezorger voor de deur staat met een prachtige rode roos voor moederdag, en het eten uiteraard wat weer heerlijk smaakte, en super warm was. En de roos staat nog steeds prachtig.

Een ruime keuze uit heerlijke maaltijden. Altijd netjes op tijd bezorgd. En wat een leuk gebaar om met Moederdag een roos bij de bestelling te doen! Dit wordt zeer gewaardeerd.

We hebben eten meegenomen was erg lekker.Als ik de volgende keer weer geen zin heb om te koken,zien ze me weer!!haha

Wij vermeldden bij opmerkingen ten overvloede dat alles wat we bestelden (via Internet) geen vlees en geen kip moest bevatten, ook al bestelden we alleen een klein keuzemenu met alleen producten zonder vlees. Desondanks zaten er in de Tjap Tjoy stukken kip. Ook was er een grote pot saus voor bij de Fujong Hai en een bijzonder grote pot pindasaus, die wij niet hadden besteld. Dat ontdekten wij pas thuis. We zullen hier niet meer bestellen.

Haalde tot voor een jaar terug graag vis met teryaki saus en het was heel goed. Verheugde mij daarom vorige week weer op dat gerecht. Thuis aangekomen, niet in Leiderdorp, verging de eetlust mij. Ik had weer vis gekocht met teryaki saus voor €15,50 en ik heb alles moeten weggooien, omdat ik oude stukjes gefrituurd deeg had gekregen waar absoluut geen vis in zat en wat keihard was. Duidelijk oude troep die gewoon niet te verteren was! Dan maar een boterham met pindakaas. Ik voel mij bestolen van eten en geld! Ga daar nooit meer terug!
