We both had the farmer's toast, absolutely delicious. 👍🏻 The only downside was that we had to wait 35 minutes before being served. Several tables ahead of us who arrived later were being served. Once we were served, everything was very well-maintained, and we had a delicious meal.

The staff is incredibly friendly. The play area is well-organized and not excessively large. The food is delicious. They weren't fussy when we only ordered one pancake for two children, which is a huge plus, as our children aren't big eaters. Some restaurants make a fuss about this.

I've been here several times, which is why I chose to celebrate my mother's birthday. I was full of praise for this restaurant, but yesterday I was a bit embarrassed. First, it took a very long time for staff to come and take our drinks, and then it took a long time for our orders to be taken. The waitress didn't really know anything about beer and couldn't offer any advice other than to tell us which ones were being served. Shrimp was served with one dish after I specifically requested to change it to chicken gyros. This was eventually corrected, but it meant one person had to wait while everyone else was already eating. The salmon steak was a tiny piece, and the steak and pork tenderloin were also very small. For the prices charged here, you can generally expect a decent portion of food. The shrimp weren't cleaned at all; I had to remove the head, tail, shell, and intestines myself, which I considered a definite no-go. This splashed my clothes and left my hands so greasy that I used my son's baby wipes to clean them. I did mention this to the waitress, but she explained that the kitchen simply doesn't do this and that the customer has to do it themselves. A few years ago, I ordered surf and turf here, but then the peeled and deveined shrimp, along with the steak, were covered in steppe grass, so I wanted it again. It sometimes happens in restaurants that the shell is still on the shrimp, but then at least the head and intestine have been removed. You can't expect customers to clean that themselves knowing that shrimp intestines are unhealthy to eat? The high chair was also dirty and uncleaned, the tables where other customers left weren't cleaned and were left with dirty glasses and food remains, the toilets were filthy, and after complaining, nothing was done about it. In short, the price-quality ratio has really deteriorated and is definitely not what I've come to expect from you. I won't be coming back here anytime soon or recommending you. The prices are high, the quality is low.

Never write a review, but after far too many bad experiences, I decided to share it here in the hopes that something will be done about it... Today around 11:00 a.m., I went in with my daughter and ordered two toasted sandwiches and two drinks. We waited over 40 minutes but didn't receive any drinks or food. Worse still, no one came by, even though there were five occupied tables in the section where we were. After 45 minutes of not receiving anything and seeing no one, I left, where I saw staff happily sitting at a table and chatting. This is really unacceptable, Eetkamer. Please do something about your recruitment process or at least train your staff, because this is the umpteenth time this has happened to you. And definitely the last.

The staff doesn't see you. After arriving, we had to wait a long time for someone to come to our table. Then, we had to wait another long time for them to take our food order. When the food was brought, they saw the empty glasses, but no one came by to take our drinks orders. We definitely won't be back.

We wanted to grab a bite to eat there tonight. When we arrived, it took ages for someone to come over to take our drink order, even though it wasn't busy anymore and there were plenty of staff around. Once we received our drinks, it took another incredibly long time for someone to come take our order, so after half an hour, we decided to leave. The staff were mostly busy chatting/hanging behind the bar and on their phones. We could have walked out without paying, which probably wouldn't have even been noticed, but we were honest enough to go to the bar to pay. There, we met the manager and explained our findings. No apology, and she barely responded. Something is seriously wrong with the staff management there.

So cheap in portions. We ordered the Mexican from the lunch menu. I have never seen a dish so small. I got half of a hamburger bun with a couple of slices of mushrooms, a little bit of cheese, a little bit of ground beef, and a few corn kernels. So stingy. Paying 11 euros per plate for that much food is insane. I should have taken a photo of it.

The last time I was here, I didn't eat or drink anything. The weather was nice and the terrace was busy, so I think it's perfectly logical and fine that everything takes longer. After fifteen minutes, no employee had looked at me and 5 minutes later I left, probably unnoticed. Other times I was here, I also found the employees short and hasty, but then they really do have a lot of tables to walk around. The food is okay, I'm not a big fan of it. It's mainly fun for the kids and the large play corner is always busy. Sorry, not recommended as far as I'm concerned.

Twice, one of our guests did not receive the ordered starter or the ordered main course. You would think that after a mistake has been made, they would pay attention. The service has no knowledge of the drinks available, we had no menu, so my husband asked if they had dark beer, but the service had no idea. The grandchildren had a great time playing in the children's playground, but if I add everything up, for the money and meager service, we would have been better off going to Efteling.

We had to look for the chicken and minced meat with a magnifying glass on the Oriental chicken and MexicaAns sandwiches we ordered for 14.95! A lot of money for these sandwiches!,

Overall, excellent experience! What I appreciated most is that there are 2 different playgrounds for smaller children and bigger children. Food was amazing, service was fast and good, the chairs were super comfortable and in general the restaurant was nicely decorated for families (both parents and children). One of the few restaurants that actually has some personality to it, and good services (so you can actually leave your small children play without having a heart attack every 5 mins). Congratulations to the people that made the concept and design!

The young man was friendly, and the waitress (with long dark hair in a ponytail) was also very friendly. We didn't find the team leader (a slightly older woman in red boots) very friendly; she came over to give a long lecture about seating for people with children (up to 12) and adults. The terrace is spacious for our wheelchair daughter, the food is tasty... but it takes so long and things regularly go wrong. We were 5 people, 1 person had soup, which came quickly (not very hot, but okay), the other 4 dishes did not arrive after half an hour. Just asked some people around us who ordered later, all eating. After about another 15-20 minutes our sandwiches arrived....while the one who had soup was long gone. 2nd round of drinks was wrong, forgot something and one drink was wrong, but it was quickly corrected. When paying, the wrong drink was on the bill.....quite a few downsides. Too bad, super nice location, tasty lunches...

Bad experience and disappointing customer service at De Eetkamer! On May 1, I had lunch with a friend on the terrace of De Eetkamer. To my horror, an employee dropped a tray full of dirty dishes, including sharp knives and forks, over me. This incident caused not only physical discomfort but also damage to my new clothes, which turned out to be irreparable. Although the employees immediately apologized and assured that the damage would be reimbursed, this promise was never kept. Despite several attempts to remove the grease stains from my clothes, the damage remained visible. In subsequent email contact I was asked to send photos and a receipt, which I promptly did. Then I got no further response. When I contacted them again, they denied receiving my previous communications and claimed they could no longer do anything with my complaint. Ultimately, I was asked to return my garment again for a final attempt at stain removal, which is unacceptable given the previous promise of compensation. It is particularly disappointing that De Eetkamer, despite repeated confirmations in previous emails that the damage would be reimbursed, never fulfilled this promise. De Eetkamer's attitude towards my complaint and their unwillingness to take responsibility for the damage caused is far below par. Not only was the incident itself very unpleasant and potentially dangerous, but the lack of follow-up was also downright disappointing. I absolutely cannot recommend De Eetkamer. The combination of poor service, failure to keep appointments and the unprofessional handling of complaints means that I would strongly discourage others from eating here.

We had a puzzle dinner. Eating from a fixed menu with (3) puzzles before and between courses. Not too simple puzzles. Food was fine. Starter, main course, dessert. Je kan hier prima eten, bediening was wat matig, duurde soms lang. Leek te weinig personeel te zijn. Maar dit is een veel voorkomend probleem op dit moment. Kinderen kunnen hier lekker spelen. Uodate: vandaag weer even langs geweest om te borrelen. Nu was de bediening prima. Voldoende mensen die je optijd hielpen. Dus ster erbij bij service.

Super fijne plek om te lunchen. Bezocht met 2 kinderen en 2 volwassenen. Er is een mooie binnenspeeltuin aanwezig waar de kinderen zich naar hartenlust kunnen vermaken. En ze zijn daarnaast in de buurt om in de gaten te houden. 1 ranja, 1 cola, 1 koffie en 1 fristi. Uitsmijter de eetkamer 2* poffertjes Broodje carpaccio Besteld en we moesten €46 afrekenen. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Geldt idem voor extra verfrissingsdoekje bij spareribs: geklokt op 9 seconden 34 honderdsten. CHAPEAU!
