Nice forest hut where you can enjoy a nice meal. Friendly people. Parking in front of the door. Toilet available.

On my way home, I stopped for a quick bite. The menu offers regular snacks as well as more elaborate meals with seasoned meats and specialties. I opted for the Hedgehog Corner sandwich and regular fries. The fries were cooked well, not too long or too short. I often prefer my fries a bit more well-done, but these were perfectly cooked and not too brown. The sandwich was delicious, and it also came with fried onions and mushrooms. After ordering, I was able to sit down. There are neat picnic tables here. Everything looks clean and tidy. I was surprised when my order arrived: not in plastic containers, but on a stone plate with cutlery. Sustainable and more pleasant than eating with your hands. The food was more than enough.

Ordered two coffees, one cheese sandwich, and one fricandeau sandwich. Total cost: €15.50. Absolutely outrageously expensive. The coffee comes in a paper cup. The sandwiches are fresh and excellent, but for €4.40 per sandwich, they deserve some decoration. €3.50 for a plain frikandel and almost €5 for a portion of fries is truly outrageous. Farmers get 0.03 cents per kilo of potatoes, while here at the snack bar, they charge €30 per kilo!

Great for a quick bite, also nice and old-fashioned when they ask, do you want Ketchup or Curry on your fries special, delicious!!

Delicious food, excellent quality

A very nice place, accessible by car, on foot, or by bike, close to the road, right across from the airport. Great ice cream! The food is also good. The service is very friendly, I recommend it to everyone. And don't complain about the price, because it's not expensive at all; they have to make a profit too. Best regards.

Extremely expensive. A croquette €3.85!! Well, ma'am, everything is expensive. A can of Coke Zero €3.85. When I asked if that was okay, I was yelled at by the "always incredibly (not) friendly" man behind the fryer. We're definitely not people who are afraid to spend money on anything, but this is truly outrageous.

A giant soft ice cream for only 2.20

Stopped there for ice cream with a motorcycle buddy. It's a fantastic location. A nice spot across from the airport. And the portions of fries and other items I saw passing by looked delicious.

Wonderful food stand, with a menu of standard Dutch food. I consider it to be what a fast food stand is, but the food is actually very good, the terrace is wonderful, the staff is very friendly. Overall, a wonderful place to grab a bite on your way, in the shade of the trees.

If there's one thing that's cool, it's the LCD gauges in the oven/baking/deep fryer. These things, ubiquitous these days, make heavy things light and are a relief in that sense that they bring a smile to your face, even in a warm baking environment. More reviews like this, please!

The best soft ice cream of our vacation

Good place to enjoy a snack after a walk or a visit to Hilversum airport. Just an old-fashioned good snack bar with the accompanying food. Ice cream and continue walking. You can sit outside, covered and sheltered.

Very expensive! And mediocre quality frikandellen. I think these are really cheap Makro frikandellen where there are 40 of them in a box for € 10.00 Snacks are way too expensive. Croquette € 3.50 Frikandel € 3.50 Mexicano € 4.00 Bottle of water € 3.80 (are bottles from Lidl that cost € 0.15 there)

Ate here today,....... Only a bit shocked by the prices. They are a bit lower where I live in South Limburg, 😇. The order was taken by a friendly lady, and you could sit down and get a message on a buzzer when it was ready..... I had a small portion of fries with mayonnaise, and that small was more than enough and quite a bit of mayonnaise separate from the fries. The fries were perfectly fried and very tasty. The snacks were also well fried and tasty. Despite the crowds, everything was ready fairly quickly. All this made up for the higher price. If I were in the area again, I would definitely come back. Beautiful location, and well and neatly maintained.

Unfortunately we were cheated with the payment. We paid a little more than € 19,-. Now we have redrawn everything at home. It should have been € 16.80. We asked for 3 fries (2 with sauce) she charged the Jumbo price!!!! The croquette and frikandel were also more expensive than on the menu!!!! The lady could not even smile either. So we will not come here anymore.

Had lunch here on Thursday. Coincidentally, it was the first thing I ate that day after a banana in the morning. Got sick at night, diarrhea, vomiting... In any case, I will never eat here again.

My mother comes from this region, she spent the last years of her very long life in Zuylenstede. A fries at Egelshoek was an outing, then watching planes on the other side. We still go there even though we live in Franeker. The food is always good and the service is friendly. Of course it is always busy because we are guests in nice weather.

After a walk across the flowering heath, we thought it was time for a drink and something tasty. We were helped quickly and received a "beeper", as soon as the food was ready the "beeper" went off and we could pick up the food. The bouncer tasted great and the croquette sandwich was also tasty. Also used the toilet. The toilet was very dirty and smelly. The floor was dirty and completely wet, the door could hardly be locked.

I stop here quite often when I need to clear my head on my motorcycle Today was a little less I had two soft serve ice creams together with my grandson I thought it was watery, later two ladies came and reported this to the staff after consuming the ice cream Oddly enough, they simply admitted that they knew about it??? I still wonder, if you know that a product is not 100%, why do you just sell it? My grandson had a sundae so he didn't taste it I would have thought it would have been nicer if the staff had warned about the quality, then I would probably have taken something else

Always nice here during a cycling trip from Utrecht. The place is great, (gliders) planes come close and they are not childish with the portions here; big tubs of good fries, big dollop of soft ice cream on the cones. You can get back to it with a cold beer with your fries.

Daughter just threw up because of the nasty food. I think the frying fat is hardly replaced. Staff is also very rude to customers. Once, but never again.

Good cafeteria with pleasant service. Very varied and combined range of fries, sandwiches and all kinds of snacks and ice cream. We have been here a number of times over the years, also with the children and grandchildren. There are also plenty of opportunities to sit and eat under the parasols.

Too salty chicken satay and fries for our taste. Good large portions. Delicious lettuce on the side. "Boss" was friendly to customers but unfortunately very grumpy to his staff, which made the atmosphere not very pleasant, I thought. Was less than normal today.

If you come at 7:50 PM, the gentleman won't even help you anymore because he wants to turn off his machine before closing time to clean it. If you don't want to sell, just close an hour earlier or something. Worthless tent and not customer friendly either! I'll go to De Schakel in Loosdrecht next time!

It's not what it used to be unfortunately. Got a milkshake and found out at home that it was super dirty and had absolutely nothing to do with the milkshake, it seemed to have expired or something. A few weeks later I got a soft ice cream, it was also junk and I got sick from it. But I think that was cross-contamination. Because first the employee picks up meat and then makes an ice cream without washing his hands.

It's always nice to have something to eat/drink after a walk with the dogs. Dogs are welcome here on the (covered) terrace. There are containers for water. And the 'creamy cheese' fries fall like a stone, but a delicious flavor combination 👌

Prima eten. Om met 1 man te gaan bakken en bedienen op een super mooie zonnige dag is niet optimaal. We werden goed geholpen maar het was ondoenlijk voor de man die stond te bakken en te pezen. Vandaag (15-9-23) was het beter verdeeld, 3 man om te bakken en te serveren. Prima snackbar !

Als de zon flink schijnt en het is wat warmer moet je niet daar eten. Je hebt dan geen schaduw. Wij hebben ons daarop verkeken. Vroeger netjes of het dakje dicht kon. Dat werd gedaan maar de zon scheen er flink onderdoor. Vroeg netjes opnieuw of dan de zijkant iets naar beneden kon dan kon het dakje bovenop weer open. Kreeg toen van een man van middelbare leeftijd een uitbrander " ik had maar thuis moeten blijven en door mij gingen mensen op een andere plek zitten omdat het dicht moest. Maar toevallig had ik die jongelui horen zeggen dat het veel te heet was in die zon daar. Wat een onbeschofte bediening van deze man. BIZAR. Mijn moeder 85 jaar en ik wisten niet hoe snel we het op moesten eten. Snel weggegaan met nog een loempia in een servet gewikkeld en dat zelfde met de bamischijf. Helemaal oververhit en geïrriteerd van die onbeschofte vent. DUS NIET DAAR WAT ETEN ALS HET WAT WARMER IS. JE GAAT KAPOT VAN DE HITTE OMDAT ER +/- ROND 5 UUR TOTAAL GEEN SCHADUW IS.

Erg druk cafetaria. Geliefd door wandelaars en fietsers. Echt cafetaria met goed voedsel, zoals je dat in een cafetaria verwacht.

Heerlijk goed doorgebakken patat en de gtros is erg smakelijk. Kom zeker terug. Geweldig

We kwamen toevallig langs en hebben een patatje / saté voor ieder besteld. Soft ijsje toe. Echt zaligggg, menig restaurant kan hier een voorbeeld aan nemen. Het was net na de lunchtijd, maar hadden genoeg tevens voor het diner. Goede hoeveelheid en voor een normale goede prijs. Bediening keurig en vriendelijk. ECHT TOP. We komen zeker nog eens "plotseling" langs😉

Heerlijk eten, echt genoeg in het menu ook. Ik ben een grote eter, maar na het Loempia speciaal menu, had ik ook echt wel genoeg! Top tent!

Aan de rand vd Hoornboegseheide, tegenover vliegveld H'sum heerlijke frites en top service: het ene Jumbo patatje voor ons beide met twee boekjes geserveerd. Daar wordt je blij van: T😀P-service!

Kwaliteit Gewoon een volle bak patat en een heerlijk broodje warmvlees. Vriendelijke personeel vlot geholpen. Helemaal top.

Hele leuke meiden die met plezier een top broodje warm vlees voor je maken. Knettervers broodje, lekker gekruide fricandeau, op een porseleinen bordje geserveerd (aan tafel) mét bestek en servetje. 😍👌👍
