De Frietbar in Katwijk aan Zee

Ordered at 5:00 PM. By 6:30 PM, I still hadn't received anything, so I finally called. They said it was on its way. I called again at 7:00 PM and was told something had gone wrong. It would be delivered within 15 minutes. Unfortunately, I still haven't received anything. The service is so bad that I wouldn't order from them. Apparently, they can't handle it. Once and for all!

Normally the food is delicious, and we love ordering here. Unfortunately, today was different. The loaded fries were missing the union rings and sauce. The spicy sauce was burnt, and the fries were cold! Such a shame...

Always satisfied, but not today. After an hour and a half, our food finally arrived, cold/lukewarm. Suddenly, they couldn't reach us by phone. We put the burgers and fries back in the oven to reheat. Either the delivery driver took a long time, or you were way too busy. Too bad! We hope to see you again next time, just like always!

The food is always good, but the service and delivery times are poor. Delivery times are usually an hour later than the estimated time. You never get a message about this, and when you call, it seems like your order is being rushed through. It's just such a shame.

I'm still waiting for my food. I placed my order at 5:40 PM. Almost two hours later, still no food. I've tried calling five times, but they're just ignoring us. We've ordered from here before, and it usually takes a while, which isn't a big deal. But not responding to calls and still not being delivered after two hours is, in my opinion, a disgusting display. Don't accept any more orders! What a disgusting experience. Never again!

What a great place!! Food is amazing.

Unfortunately, I had the same experience with delivery. An hour and a half after ordering, still nothing, and the phone wasn't answered. Such a shame.

Normally the food here is excellent, but after waiting two and a half hours, this is the last straw. No one answers the phone, and they have no idea if the food will ever arrive. I hope my grandchildren leave a letter on my grave to let them know if the food ever arrived.

I don't often share reviews, but this one definitely deserves a thumbs up. Super fast delivery, and the "sticky chicken fries" truly exceeded all expectations! So good! And even the extra container of fries we ordered was overflowing. Best fries in Katwijk! We'll definitely order again. Thanks!!!

The cheeseburger menu was delicious! Cozy spot with a lovely view of the old church. The packaging looked great, and the service was excellent :)

Luckily, we only got the "small" fries. They were quite large. The veggie burger was amazing. I love arugula. The three ladies were super quick and prepared everything quickly. The special fries and cheeseburger were also delicious. Very nice.

I placed an order an hour and a half ago and still nothing, so I just let you know. Don't even answer the phone!

I don't really understand where all the negative reviews come from, because the food is always fantastic! The long wait is a good sign! We think De Frietbar makes the best fries, and they're always delivered promptly. It's a bit more expensive than other chip shops, but the portions are generous, and you can taste the care and attention they put into the food. We order regularly and are completely satisfied!

Delicious food with a wide selection and reliable delivery to the beach house. We order here at least once on every vacation – highly recommended!

On Tuesday, I went to Katwijk with my supervisor and another client for a day trip. We came from North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. Katwijk is such a beautiful city, and the beach is amazing too.❤️ We ate at your place on Tuesday. Very friendly and nice. Even when I had trouble reading the menu, they helped me. Thanks again! The fries were delicious. 🙂 If we take another trip to Katwijk next year, I'd love to eat at your place again. I can only recommend it to everyone!

Waited over an hour for 1 order of fries and 2 frikadelles. Called. They were supposed to be on their way. The fries looked like they had been fried twice. Small, hard fries were in between.

Tasty snacks but quite pricey. I'm not local so I don't know the reference price. I didn't really like the fries myself, but my friend really liked them.

Day in Katwijk. To finish we decided to get some nice fries. 5 people €78 with some soft drinks. Rock-hard fries, canned or bagged stew…not to be eaten. Unsympathetic blonde lady who asked us to look at the website before ordering??? What a letdown... and then ask for so much money! Shame on you 😡😡

You agree on a time online, but they're late. Even if you order in advance and want to be late, they manage to be late... the fries they fry are way too hard... for that price, it's not worth it.

We love De Frietbar. Every time we're in Katwijk for a short break, we make a quick stop here. We find the best and tastiest fries.

De friet vind ik heerlijk met de kruiden er doorheen.

Frikandel speciaal is zonder gleuf, dus de saus moet je erop scheppen. Iedereen weet toch dat die ingesneden moet worden? Ook aardig aan de prijs. Patat met €4,50 (een jaar geleden nog €3,85), een frikandel speciaal €3,50 (was €2,75). Verse patat, flinke portie. Er is een terras. Kom niet rond etenstijd want dan kun je een half uur wachten.

Sehr lecker. Gut besucht und eine verdammt große Portion Pommes gibt es zu den burgern.

Zeer vriendelijke en lekker eten

Heerlijke patat evenals de oorlog met uitjes saus! Een grote patat is ook echt groot met meer dan voldoende saus.👍

Ich war mit meiner Familie dort und wir haben dort ein kleinen Imbiss zu uns genommen. Soweit alles okay, ist halt ne Imbiss Bude und kein Restaurant.

Zoals de kop al zegt is de kwaliteit wisselend. We hebben wel eens besteld dan was de friet en de burgers perfect. Deze maal was het broodje droog en leek de burger van een anders merk/kwaliteit. Als er consistentie in de kwaliteit kwam dan is het een goede snackbar. Maar helaas schommelt het regelmatig (toch blijven we terugkomen)

Heerlijke burgers! Soms wat lang wachten, maar geduld wordt altijd wel weer beloond!

Eigentlich lecker und freundlicher Service, aber PLASTIK - "Blumen" auf den Tischen, das geht gar nicht im Blumenland Holland(darum 1 Stern Abwertung). 100m entfernt ist ein bloemenwinkel.

Leider wurde bei der Bestellung einige Zutaten vergessen. Pommes waren teilweise zu lange im Fett.

Leckere Pommes und snacks. Man kann schön draußen sitzen. 5 Sterne würde es geben, wenn man das Essen auf normalen Tellern statt in wegwerf-plastikschalen servieren würde. Total unnötig...

We arrived here after a long hiking trip. It was a pleasure to expand my culinary Horizont with these Dutch delicacies. On my next barbecue I will copy the Special sauce. I will definitely come back when I can.

Een half uur wachten op slappe patat. Absoluut geen aanrader. In de buurt betere alternatieven. Jammer voor dat geld.

Gewoon een van de beter snackbars in Katwijk. De patat is van hoge kwaliteit. Gevestigd op een mooie locatie

Wie in diesen Corona Zeiten üblich kann man sein Essen nur mitnehmen. Diese Pommes Bude ist echt sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben hier die Pommes Spezial probiert und diese schmeckte wirklich wunderbar. Die Pommes sind außen seh knusprig und ihnen schön saftig. Den Preis finde ich allerdings etwas zu hoch. Siehe Rechnung im Bild anbei.

Toevalligerwijs bij deze snackbar gekomen en ondanks de grote drukte redelijk snel geholpen. Patat was hier tenminste niet zo slap (nét niet gaar) als vaak bij andere bedrijven, maar juist tegen krokant aan. Ook de hoeveelheid zout op de patat viel onwijs mee. Verkopen verse friet en dat merk je zeker! smaakte ook goed en was wat dikker. Zowel de ‘pulled pork’ burger als de kipburger waren smaakvol en ruim belegd met groente. De pulled pork is echt een aanrader. Hier ga ik vaker komen!!
