Although the food is a bit expensive for the quality, it is quite tasty. The service, however, is really terrible; I am happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, but in the few times I have stopped by, I have not received the correct order even once. When I politely point this out, they say they will correct it, but then I get forgotten: "oh yeah, forgot to put it in the fryer." This was on a quiet evening after rush hour.

I’ve been coming here for weeks now after my motorcycle lessons in the neighborhood. I’ve tried all the loaded fries; the beef stew and rendang are absolute winners. But the others are great too. Snacks of all shapes and sizes, always perfectly fried. The Bod mushroom truffle croquette is fantastic. The staff is always nice and helpful. Fast service too. In short, highly recommended!

Last Sunday, May 3, 2026, I placed an order for 6 people. Upon arriving home, I naturally unpacked the order, after which it became clear that a milkshake listed on the receipt had not been delivered. Subsequently, hairs were found in 2 orders, and the hamburger was undercooked and still red in the center. All in all, these were quite a lot of things that were not in order. I won't be coming here again anytime soon.

Expensive, but delicious fries. But NOT when they are cold. Ordered online, arrived on time, but apparently missed the announcement that it was ready. After waiting for some time, it turned out they had been ready for a while, and I took cold fries home. Not with an apology, but with a "it was announced multiple times". Especially during busy (=loud) times, you really need to have a clear way of making announcements (e.g. including a screen showing the orders), because this way it is really poor value for money.

The place is fun for kids, but the fries are incredibly dry! Not very flavorful :( snacks are fine

Nice playground, tasty fries. Service a bit chaotic; while waiting in line you get in the way of other guests a bit, not very convenient. The rendang fries and burger were tasty. Price reasonable.

I order food often. Usually it goes well, but not always with the burgers. This is now the third time my burger order has been incorrect. I cannot eat my burger now due to an allergy, and I am heavily pregnant. When I got home and found out, they had only just closed 6 minutes earlier. I called and someone answered. Unfortunately, they couldn't do anything more for me that same day, so I had to go look for food elsewhere while heavily pregnant… I was told I would get a burger and a drink the next time. Unfortunately, that doesn't resolve the current problem…

A really nice and modern chip shop. If you're looking for a tasty little snack and don't want to go to one of those big gold chains, you'll be perfectly served here! Excellent fries, delicious burgers, and more... Modern service and a rustic atmosphere. We really enjoyed our visit.

Good, but very expensive. Be sure to bring your own sauces, or get a bottle from across the street. That way, you'll get through these expensive times in a happier mood.

I thought the food was okay, but the fries were very dry. The staff wasn't very friendly/impersonal, and the atmosphere was a bit chilly. The coaster pager is handy, so you don't have to wait.

Good organic fries and friendly staff

The food was good, with tasty potatoes, well-fried, and fresh. Five stars. The service was subpar. The entire restaurant, despite me being the only customer, was a complete mess. There were food scraps everywhere, and the trash cans were overflowing. Meanwhile, four employees were busy chatting in the kitchen. These were the same employees who showed no interest when I arrived and left as a guest. Despite the good fries, I wouldn't go back...

Drove especially from Almere Haven for the excellent fries. Family-sized portion + 2* satay sauce. Got home and they didn't include the satay sauce (€5) with the order. I called several times, only to have the call cut off or not answered. The result: cold fries, no satay sauce, and €12.50 wasted, which was a lot of frustration.

If you dine inside, the temperature is always cold (I mean the interior temperature, not the food). The food quality is fantastic, and the service is friendly.

I'd been there before, and the fries were good. Now I've had fries with stew, and the pieces were very small. I reported it to a staff member and was told, "It happens." The stew was very dry. Shrimp croquette: There were no shrimp.

One of the better snack bars in Almere. Beautiful building, large outdoor area even in winter. The fries are good, the snacks are snacks, and the homemade options are delicious. 3☆ for the atmosphere; it's still a snack bar. The service is good, but they could use more/better places for your trash and deposits on bottles and cans.

Worst snack bar ever. They kept us waiting for exactly 45 minutes. It was way too busy and they couldn't handle it. After 45 minutes, we asked where our food was, and they had to check it, only to tell us it would be another 20-30 minutes because something had gone wrong with the receipt printer. Couldn't you have told us that sooner? We asked for a refund and left, never to return!

I think the Vega de luxe fries here are the best in Almere. You get served quickly and can also sit down in a pleasant setting. If you have children, they can also play outside.

In the beginning, this was a fantastic snack bar, and you really got your money's worth. Unfortunately, lately, the staff has been young and disinterested. We've now received an incomplete order four times in a row. They forgot cheese on a cheeseburger, gave us 4 chicken nuggets instead of 6, forgot a croquette, and forgot a frikandel. Oh yeah, and they also gave us too little change twice. Besides the fact that you paid for it (and it's not exactly the cheapest snack bar), you only find out when you get home, and someone else is disappointed. All in all, it's a shame because the quality of the food is excellent. This is the last time for us for a while.

Best tasting fries I've found anywhere, but the tables are always sticky. Generous portions, but sauces are expensive.

I do not have enough kind words to say about this place. This was our first stop outside of Amsterdam. We were not aware that Visa and Mastercard were not accepted in most places outside of big cities. The gentleman at the cashier's desk gave us our food and told us not to worry about paying him when none of our credit cards worked. He even refused the $20 US bills we offered. We were hungry and incredibly thankful, but also felt awkward. We went to Lidl across the street, bought some groceries and got some cash. When we came back to pay for our meal, he still insisted that it was on him. I've made it a point to continue sharing the kindness he showed that day. The food was comforting and the prices were very reasonable (if we had paid). It has a both new, yet rustic ambiance with plenty of woodwork. Giant windows that light up the entire room. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Food comes out quick and needless to say, service is the best I've ever had. Staff even came out to make sure we were doing ok and asked if the food was good - amazing! They even have a cute little kid sized door next to the adult door at the entrance. Definitely coming here again next time and bringing cash.

Today we ate delicious fries after a bike ride. Super cozy interior and friendly employees.

We were passing through and our navigation system indicated that we should drive past there. First of all... this place is especially great for kids. It was the first time I've seen a special door for children as an entrance... We each had fries with different sauces, and it was delicious... For dessert, we each had ice cream, which was also very tasty. Our conclusion: delicious, and a good place to go with the kids. Outside and inside...🤩☺️

From the opening, delicious fresh fries and sour meat were nice and tender and juicy. Made it again today after a long time. What a deception. Too young people behind the counter, meat was a lot of dry stewed meat that you get from the wholesaler and was warmed up. The fries were made from potatoes but not crispy at all. Too bad it was so fun and good in the beginning.

I really enjoyed the fries at the Frietboederij Almere, especially fries with stew or Rendang, an unforgettable taste. I'm a regular customer there.

We keep coming here, good prices, good food and nice and cosy. Kids love it and we too, in the winter months is less attractive since the kids can only spend the time inside but in the summer is wonderful for them to be outside and play in the tractor, with sand and lie in the hammocks.

The staff went chaos with the order, they mixed ours with someone else’s and we needed to wait for 45 minutes for two bakjes.
