Cosy decorated restaurant and nice staff. Tip that makes many people happy. Use much less salt. The asparagus soup was much too salty and should be creamy. The spicy rib eye was also much too salty. The Hangop 11.95 was almost only yoghurt. On the menu was ... with all kinds of fruit. For high prices you don't expect this.

Quite okay... Nice location and really great service. The food looks great, but unfortunately, I didn't think it tasted that great. The cappuccino starter was like something you'd find in a supermarket, the fish platter was partly good, the tuna was medium rare, but the salmon was unfortunately inedible—totally musty. The creme brulee was good, but it wasn't real vanilla and only filled to a max. 5mm. Still good (and warm). Service, as I said, was good, but not very attentive, and you had to wait a long time for drinks, for example (a bottle of wine took over 10 minutes to bring). Communication in English was great.

De Bediening was zeer onervaren en de manager had eveneens geen enkel idee wat managen van “zijn personeel” allemaal inhoudt. Daarbij waren de opmerkingen en slappe excuses voor alles wat fout ging, van deze zelfbenoemde manager waren ongehoord. Je zou dan als manager op zijn minst een kopje koffie vh huis aanbieden, maar ook dat kwam bij deze “manager” blijkbaar niet op zijn de bovenkamer. De voorgerecht waren prima, de biefstuk kon beter, was meer medium plus dan medium gebakken en hier en daar taai 😢

Leuk restaurant, heel vriendelijk personeel en leuke sfeer. Zondag 9 februari hier gegeten met zes personen. Het eten was op zich goed echter vier van de zes kregen een koud (geworden) hoofdgerecht. Slechts 1 persoon verzocht om een nieuw gerecht de rest heeft het wel aangegeven maar wilden de sfeer niet bederven. Op mijn vraag hoe dit kon vertelde men mij dat zij een lamp gebruikten om het eten warm te houde die slechts voor vier borden geschikt was. Wat ik jammer vind is dat er verder niets mee gedaan werd. Wij hebben er verder ook niets meer mee gedaan, gewoon de gebruikelijke fooi gegeven aangezien de jongen die ons bediende uiterst vriendelijk was. Was er anders op gereageerd dan zouden wij hier zeker nog een keer naar toe gegaan zijn.

Atmospheric restaurant and delicious food.

We zijn in het verleden al vaker hier gaan eten maar het wordt steeds beter lijkt ‘t. Het keuzemenu is qua prijs/kwaliteit prima. De smaken zijn variërend en goed op elkaar afgestemd. Personeel is gastvrij, netjes en gezellig. Al met al een fijne avond gehad met een lekkere gin/ tonic 😉

Restaurant had 2 larger parties and was clearly not equipped to serve both in a smooth manner. After 1 round of drinks, the Leffe 0.0 was already gone and the Grolsch 0.0 alternative was expired. At least one or more staff members in the service were inexperienced and, in my opinion, also lacked guidance. Furthermore, it was a nice meeting with our group.

We had a very delicious meal at De Heeren van Berg en Dal. The portions were good, the meat was incredibly tender, the side dishes were beautifully combined with the meat and the desserts were really delicious. Only the service could be better. There was a girl running around alone taking orders and serving them. Eventually she was helped by a lady who was enjoying her evening off. We will definitely come back here again.

We had gone for a three course. The price-quality ratio is great and it is also a super cool building to sit inside. Good seats, friendly staff and lots of food. Large pieces of meat, tasty vegetables and nice service. Wide choice of menu to choose from. I had Carpaccio, Cod and snickel ice cream. It was delicious.

Rarely have I been given 5 stars. But everything is good here, although everything can always be better, the quality-price ratio is completely fine in this nice and hospitable family restaurant. Nice menu, good wine for a reasonable price and great service. It was certainly not the first time we were here and we will definitely come again because what they put up is of a continuous nature. Pleasant informal atmosphere. With a delicious vegetarian croquette roll. Enjoyed it very much. Which might be an area for improvement. When we walked by we wondered if it was actually open. Only when we got closer did I see that the lights were on.

We zijn in dit restaurant geweest en hebben lekker gegeten. We hebben de vleesschotel voor 2 personen genomen en het vlees was perfect gebakken en goed van smaak. De groenten waren ook goed, alleen de sausjes vond ik wat minder. Er was enkel iets dat ik merkwaardig vond. Ik had gelezen dat ze het vlees klaar maakten met een green egg en ik vroeg aan de bediening welk vlees precies dat er op dit toestel werd gemaakt.. Al het vlees, zei hij. Ik zat aan het tafeltje naast de keuken en zag dat de green egg niet gebruikt werd. Toen de schotel aan tafel kwam vertelde ik dat ik verbaasd was, dat de green egg niet gebruikt werd. Hij zei dat deze gebruikt werd om het vlees voor te bereiden en dat het daarna op een gewone grill werd gebakken. Twee keer had ik het gevoel dat er mij fabeltjes werden verteld. Ondanks het feit dat het eten tamelijk lekker was, ben ik toch met een wat vreemd gevoel naar huis gegaan.

The 3-course menu is highly recommended, with a tasting for dessert and the icing on the cake: floor-top waitresses with attention to the guests, smiles from ear to ear and very collegial (for working on new masterpieces). After driving past this restaurant for years, I finally decided to stop in. As a critical restaurant visitor, I am always keen on details, but I must honestly say: this restaurant completely surprised me. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect down to the last detail. From the moment you enter, you feel welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food... what can I say? Every dish was a taste sensation. The presentation, quality of ingredients, and taste were all excellent. And the best part of all? The price-quality ratio is excellent. For a very reasonable price you can enjoy a culinary experience here that would normally cost you much more. In short, if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy delicious food without paying the top price, then this restaurant is highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

Great. Being on a Tuesday it wasn't very busy. There were 7 of us. All dishes were nicely served. Cheerful waitress. In short: we will be back September 5, 2024. Ate again and sat outside. You can indicate when booking whether there is a special reason for eating. Well there was. But unfortunately they don't do anything with it. Food was also fine.

Wij hebben in aug/sept 2024 3x mogen dineren in De Heren van Bergen en Dal, waarvan zeker de laatste op 30 aug. Top was. Ongedwongen, super lekker en vooral gezellig!

We had a mid-week break at one of the Fletcher hotels in the area for some walking and us time. We walked past the Heeren van Berg en Dal and saw the menu. Booked a table for dinner straight away. The setting is cosy with a nice atmosphere. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. The choice was difficult with so many nice-looking options. My wife had the Runder Sukade, the meat melted in the mouth it was so tender. I went for the Black Angus picanha, medium rare with black pepper sauce. Delicious. Our desserts were also something unusual. My wife loved the Limoncello Tiramisu, while the Snickersijs I had without the slagroom (whipped cream) was better than expected and a great end to the meal. All in all, we were there for a comfortable 2 hours, and at no point did we feel either neglected or pressured by any of the staff. A great evening. No photos as we were busy enjoying each other's company and then the food.

Just had dinner with my wife, we really enjoyed the food and the service from 2 nice, enthusiastic girls was excellent! We will definitely go there again! Definitely recommended!

We had dinner here on March 18, 2022. The starter was Carpacio which was very tasty. As a main course we had venison steak medium rare. Unfortunately, the steaks were of very average to poor quality. We thought this was due to the knife, but the steaks were tough and far from tender and there were tendons in them. Difficult to cut. After complaining about this, the chef said that this was normal for venison steaks, if the chef gives such an answer, we wonder whether you have an eye for quality. Clearly high quality meat is not purchased. This was extremely disappointing. The dessert was choco duo, the white chocolate had a strange aftertaste and the whipped cream came from a spray can. The chocolate mouse was okay. The lady who served us was great. But I don't think we'll eat here again.

Nice and friendly service and the food is delicious too! Bread board would be better with regular baguette or something because of people who don't like bread with seeds or corn bread!!!

Ate here last Friday 09-08-2024. In one word fantastic! It was very busy and that is certainly understandable. The food is delicious and affordable. As an appetizer, the soup of the day, oriental chicken soup. This was delicious, a true taste sensation! As a main course, the ribeye is deliciously prepared on charcoal and wonderfully tender. Dessert was homemade snicker ice cream. Truly finger licking good. Despite the crowds, we were served courteously. The waitress(s) are extremely friendly and attentive, they ensured that we were constantly provided with drinks. I can recommend Heeren van Berg en Dal to everyone!

After a wonderful day in Nijmegen, we settled down at the Heeren van Berg en Dal for the 2nd - 3rd time. The food was fine again. One of the main courses was not as the person who ordered it had envisioned. That was completely through no fault of the restauranteur, but was nevertheless resolved immediately at the initiative of the business. The apple strudel was tasty, but unfortunately not prepared in the traditional way. However, this was compensated in every possible way by the mantle of love that our waitress Floor showed for her profession. In my opinion, there is often insufficient emphasis on the importance of someone at your table who knows her profession, the contents of the menu she serves and how the client's experience depends on her efforts. So "congratulations" for Floor, this is one to be proud of and happy with as an employer and to continue to invest in. She is an asset to the company, her profession and to the catering industry in general.

What a hospitable restaurant!! They take customers into account very well. They had chosen a quiet spot and turned the music down for my grandfather who has hearing loss. In addition, my food intolerance was taken into account a lot. The waiter knew exactly what I could and could not eat. Or how they could adapt a dish. If you are very hungry, order the chicken burger. They have the biggest chicken burger I've ever seen! The chicken is also super tender.

Superlatives fall short, fantastic food. Service that clearly enjoys working, wonderfully enthusiastic. We are only here for three days, but we will eat here for the second time during those days. We had the meat dish with super tasty meat with various homemade sauces in small portions that are supplemented if you want more. We would like to come back here. Had a delicious shared dining lunch. We got advance an onion soup, 2nd course was a delicious carpaccio with baguette and herb butter. Then a shelf full of goodies... Gyozas, fried shrimps, steak tips, ravioli, fries! And finally, homemade Tiramisu, definitely recommended!! The (Strawberry Cocktail), homemade and devised, was very tasty. Staff were friendly!
