This is precisely why I visit a restaurant. A pleasant evening out, experiencing delicious dishes, where quality is guaranteed and quantity is certainly not overlooked. A homely atmosphere, where labels are understood, there's room for personal attention/service, and at the same time, you can spend your evening here as you please! Highly recommended in every way. Definitely worth it even if you're staying in the city!

Another delicious meal. Elegantly presented, and I discovered a new cut of meat: bavette, super delicious. The Dutch side dishes on the plate, such as celeriac puree, are also uniquely prepared and have a fantastic texture. Simply a top-notch restaurant with a warm atmosphere.

The food was delicious, and everything was beautifully presented. However, the (friendly) service was incredibly slow (we had to wait 20 minutes between receiving our menu and ordering, even though the restaurant wasn't even close to full). The seat upholstery was broken. This is sloppy for a restaurant like this.

Charming place, but it always takes a very long time for the staff to realize you'd like to order something and/or to bring the next course. I was brought the wrong thing twice, then taken away without mercy, and had to wait a long time again for the correct one. The food looks beautifully presented, but the taste is a bit bland. The restrooms are incredibly dirty.

We were put in an old section because we had a dog with us. The bench was broken, which was a real shame. We were seated with a couple with a whining child and a very old lady. I pointed this out, and they explained that there were a lot of dogs there, which was why we were being placed there. They didn't accept guests, as we had reservations. The section looked like it had been attached to an old Italian restaurant. We had a Chateaubriand, which was well-prepared. The wine was a delicious Primitivo. The food was good, but the atmosphere was terrible.

It takes a very long time to get your order. It arrived at 6:30 PM, and now, at 9:20 PM, dessert still hasn't arrived. The pork schnitzel was very small, so we had to wait a long time for the fries, so by then the schnitzel was already gone. We were helped very politely by a girl. Not suitable for large groups; the kitchen simply can't handle that.

Tonight, my wife and I visited De Heeren van Berg en Dal for our anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious and carefully prepared dishes, the way the waitstaff worked as a team, and the excellent teamwork between the kitchen and the waitstaff. We had a direct view of the open kitchen. They were working hard (all tables were occupied), but they were also well-organized. In short: highly recommended!

The food was okay, but nothing special, and the fries were way too hard. The service was very chaotic and unprofessional. A carafe of water only arrived after asking three times and waiting half an hour. The fries that were supposed to be included with the salmon turned out to be extra on the bill. A long wait. They had to take the same order multiple times. They even walked away if you wanted to say anything. It was a shame about the evening.

Na de bestelling hebben we een uur gewacht op het eten. We hebben iemand van de bediening gevraagd wanneer ons eten zou komen. Gasten die na ons kwamen hadden hun bestelling al. Geen antwoord. Nogmaals aan andere bediening gevraagd (die onze bestelling opgenomen had): het papier in de printer van de bestellingen was op en jullie bestelling is vergeten uit te printen ! Kwamen we net achter, we hebben overlegd of we het jullie zouden vertellen maar besloten maar niet te doen... maar nu jullie er om vragen.... Hierna nog 20 minuten moeten wachten. Nog karaf water besteld. Niet gekregen, nogmaals gevraagd... O ja vergeten... Bij carpaccio vroeg 1 van ons om peper en zout. Komt zo... kwam niet... aan een andere bediening moeten vragen. Andere gasten hadden hun voorgerecht al op. Eten was smakelijk en goed ! Aandacht ging naar vriendin van bediening uit. Bij afrekenen geen excuus. Kortom lekker gegeten maar bediening onvoldoende..

A surprisingly professionally prepared menu, and pleasant service who didn't mind us exchanging our bottle of rosé for a bottle of Pinot Noir. It's also always nice when the carafe of water is included in the bill for €0. A great place!

Lunch bij restaurant "De Heeren van Berg en Dal". Gelegen aan de Oude Kleefsebaan in het dorp. Vriendelijke ontvangst, aardig ingericht restaurant binnen, ruim terras vóór de zaak. Compacte lunchkaart, vlotte bediening. Wij aten beiden oerbrood belegd met "Asian Crispy Chicken", aangekleed met teriyaki, sla, lenteui, olijven en tuinbonen. Rijk aangekleed dus .. en het smaakte ons uitstekend. Redelijke prijzen.

Nice place, both indoors and outdoors. We sat on the terrace for lunch. One star down: artificial plants! Unnecessary and ugly. The lunch menu is extensive, and the jungle with Asian crispy chicken was generous and delicious.

I am so glad we decided to eat here. The food was fantastic. My wife said it was the best Veal Steak she had ever had. The atmosphere was great! The service we received was tremendous! I can't say enough about this place! We had some drinks, did I mention the Limon Chello? If you are considering coming here, you would regret it if you didn't. Website belooft veel goeds. Maar dit lijkt een restaurant in verval. We zitten net als nog steeds lege dozen van de trap gegooid worden. We bestellen de kipschnitzel met chapignonsaus en de kipburger. Daar verwacht je verschil. De deoge stukken geparneerde kip zijn echter hetzelfde alleen in de burgervariant zit deze op een broodje. De champignonsaus is een klein bakje vergelijkbaar met mayo voor friet en te weinig. Waarom is dit zo? Het lijkt goedkoop spul maar de prijzen zijn dat niet. Moet verbeteren willen wij er terug komen.

Cosy decorated restaurant and nice staff. Tip that makes many people happy. Use much less salt. The asparagus soup was much too salty and should be creamy. The spicy rib eye was also much too salty. The Hangop 11.95 was almost only yoghurt. On the menu was ... with all kinds of fruit. For high prices you don't expect this.

Quite okay... Nice location and really great service. The food looks great, but unfortunately, I didn't think it tasted that great. The cappuccino starter was like something you'd find in a supermarket, the fish platter was partly good, the tuna was medium rare, but the salmon was unfortunately inedible—totally musty. The creme brulee was good, but it wasn't real vanilla and only filled to a max. 5mm. Still good (and warm). Service, as I said, was good, but not very attentive, and you had to wait a long time for drinks, for example (a bottle of wine took over 10 minutes to bring). Communication in English was great.

Very tasty food. On the terrace you sit on a busy road. But also nice to experience the bustle of the village. You see enough.

De Bediening was zeer onervaren en de manager had eveneens geen enkel idee wat managen van “zijn personeel” allemaal inhoudt. Daarbij waren de opmerkingen en slappe excuses voor alles wat fout ging, van deze zelfbenoemde manager waren ongehoord. Je zou dan als manager op zijn minst een kopje koffie vh huis aanbieden, maar ook dat kwam bij deze “manager” blijkbaar niet op zijn de bovenkamer. De voorgerecht waren prima, de biefstuk kon beter, was meer medium plus dan medium gebakken en hier en daar taai 😢

Leuk restaurant, heel vriendelijk personeel en leuke sfeer. Zondag 9 februari hier gegeten met zes personen. Het eten was op zich goed echter vier van de zes kregen een koud (geworden) hoofdgerecht. Slechts 1 persoon verzocht om een nieuw gerecht de rest heeft het wel aangegeven maar wilden de sfeer niet bederven. Op mijn vraag hoe dit kon vertelde men mij dat zij een lamp gebruikten om het eten warm te houde die slechts voor vier borden geschikt was. Wat ik jammer vind is dat er verder niets mee gedaan werd. Wij hebben er verder ook niets meer mee gedaan, gewoon de gebruikelijke fooi gegeven aangezien de jongen die ons bediende uiterst vriendelijk was. Was er anders op gereageerd dan zouden wij hier zeker nog een keer naar toe gegaan zijn.

Atmospheric restaurant and delicious food.

We zijn in het verleden al vaker hier gaan eten maar het wordt steeds beter lijkt ‘t. Het keuzemenu is qua prijs/kwaliteit prima. De smaken zijn variërend en goed op elkaar afgestemd. Personeel is gastvrij, netjes en gezellig. Al met al een fijne avond gehad met een lekkere gin/ tonic 😉

Restaurant had 2 larger parties and was clearly not equipped to serve both in a smooth manner. After 1 round of drinks, the Leffe 0.0 was already gone and the Grolsch 0.0 alternative was expired. At least one or more staff members in the service were inexperienced and, in my opinion, also lacked guidance. Furthermore, it was a nice meeting with our group.

We had a very delicious meal at De Heeren van Berg en Dal. The portions were good, the meat was incredibly tender, the side dishes were beautifully combined with the meat and the desserts were really delicious. Only the service could be better. There was a girl running around alone taking orders and serving them. Eventually she was helped by a lady who was enjoying her evening off. We will definitely come back here again.

Rarely have I been given 5 stars. But everything is good here, although everything can always be better, the quality-price ratio is completely fine in this nice and hospitable family restaurant. Nice menu, good wine for a reasonable price and great service. It was certainly not the first time we were here and we will definitely come again because what they put up is of a continuous nature. Pleasant informal atmosphere. With a delicious vegetarian croquette roll. Enjoyed it very much. Which might be an area for improvement. When we walked by we wondered if it was actually open. Only when we got closer did I see that the lights were on.

We zijn in dit restaurant geweest en hebben lekker gegeten. We hebben de vleesschotel voor 2 personen genomen en het vlees was perfect gebakken en goed van smaak. De groenten waren ook goed, alleen de sausjes vond ik wat minder. Er was enkel iets dat ik merkwaardig vond. Ik had gelezen dat ze het vlees klaar maakten met een green egg en ik vroeg aan de bediening welk vlees precies dat er op dit toestel werd gemaakt.. Al het vlees, zei hij. Ik zat aan het tafeltje naast de keuken en zag dat de green egg niet gebruikt werd. Toen de schotel aan tafel kwam vertelde ik dat ik verbaasd was, dat de green egg niet gebruikt werd. Hij zei dat deze gebruikt werd om het vlees voor te bereiden en dat het daarna op een gewone grill werd gebakken. Twee keer had ik het gevoel dat er mij fabeltjes werden verteld. Ondanks het feit dat het eten tamelijk lekker was, ben ik toch met een wat vreemd gevoel naar huis gegaan.

Great little restaurant with delicious dishes. The 3-course menu is highly recommended, with a tasting for dessert and the icing on the cake: floor-top waitresses with attention to the guests, smiles from ear to ear and very collegial (for working on new masterpieces). After driving past this restaurant for years, I finally decided to stop in. As a critical restaurant visitor, I am always keen on details, but I must honestly say: this restaurant completely surprised me. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect down to the last detail. From the moment you enter, you feel welcome. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is attentive and friendly, and the food... what can I say? Every dish was a taste sensation. The presentation, quality of ingredients, and taste were all excellent. And the best part of all? The price-quality ratio is excellent. For a very reasonable price you can enjoy a culinary experience here that would normally cost you much more. In short, if you are looking for a place where you can enjoy delicious food without paying the top price, then this restaurant is highly recommended. I'll definitely be back!

Great. Being on a Tuesday it wasn't very busy. There were 7 of us. All dishes were nicely served. Cheerful waitress. In short: we will be back September 5, 2024. Ate again and sat outside. You can indicate when booking whether there is a special reason for eating. Well there was. But unfortunately they don't do anything with it. Food was also fine.
