Had a delicious meal and a beautiful location! We just came from there; I had chicken satay and my sister had spareribs. My chicken satay tasted delicious and the spareribs were fantastic too!! Fries came with the main courses, though they could have been a little crispier, but otherwise they were tasty too! The surroundings are also beautiful, especially if you have a boat (or have rented one). The staff is also extremely friendly and provides top-notch service! All in all, a solid 9!

We ate a sorbet together this afternoon: a dame blanche and a fruit sorbet. However, the dame blanche was disappointing: whipped cream at the bottom (probably to save on ice cream), scoops on top, more whipped cream and chocolate sauce, and that’s what they call a dame blanche. The fruit sorbet was the same story: whipped cream at the bottom, ice cream on top, whipped cream, and here and there a stray strawberry and a grape. Oh right, there was a cookie on this one too. Also, it had been sitting there for a while because it was almost a milkshake. The price-quality ratio is off; 19 euros for 2 ice creams. Extremely disappointing in terms of quality. I won't be coming back!!

A nice stop along the Pieterpad. We had ricotta pancakes and they were delicious. There is a terrace by the water, and if the weather is bad, you can sit comfortably inside.

Lovely location by the water, good food, and attentive staff. However, some items were unavailable because it was Monday and it had been busy. (Ice tea and toasted sandwiches, for example)

We had a delicious meal with four people on May 10, 2026. We all opted for the 3-course set menu. It was more than enough. My uncle (an 86-year-old from Groningen) even complimented us on the mustard soup. He said he had the most delicious mustard soup he has ever eaten at your place. We will certainly be back more often.

The beautiful location gets a star, and the lady who served the three of us: she was customer-friendly and professional. However, our conclusion was that you should not go to this restaurant for a good dinner. It was very mediocre three times. Dishes are quite meager and unfinished, flat in taste, and plates with main courses served with a layer of oil in them; we have never experienced this before. If fish can contain a small bone, as was stated, that is really something different from the entire bone structure. The side dish turned out to be nothing more than a meager bowl of fries. If you dare to charge €27.50 for a main course, you should expect something else; the price-quality ratio was truly out of balance.

I haven't even received any food. I've been waiting an hour for my burger. This is really unacceptable. People who joined later are already finished, while I haven't received anything yet. Shame!!!

We sat by the water this afternoon. The service wasn't really friendly because we had to leave our table before 6:00 PM as it was reserved. The tone wasn't very customer-friendly; perhaps she still needs to learn how to approach people when there are still people at the table.

We had a delicious meal; we had sirloin steak, salmon, and the kids' menu pizza Margherita. We found it all very tasty. Friendly and efficient service.

Here you can enjoy delicious lunch and dinner indoors and outdoors. You have a stunning view of the water flowing past. If you are lucky, someone might just fall out of the canoe while getting in.

It was my first time here. We were there on a Saturday around 12:30 in a group of 10 people. Beautiful spot by the water. Ample parking. It was pleasantly busy, but we were served reasonably quickly. The lunch was really very good. Definitely recommended.

Christmas dinner, so only vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Normally, there's more choice, so it's not comparable to a regular day.

Good local produce, simple but homemade cuisine. And above all, a wonderful welcome. The setting by the water is very pleasant, with the option of eating on the terrace or in the veranda.

The service was very fast and friendly. The food was very disappointing. We ordered €22 of fried gnocchi with pumpkin, oyster mushrooms, Parmesan cheese, and ricotta. The gnocchi could have been a bit crispier. The oyster mushrooms and pumpkin were just a few flakes. I didn't find any ricotta or pine nuts on my plate. We felt the price/quality ratio wasn't right.

After completing our Pieterpad hike, we settled in here, completely without any expectations. What a pleasant surprise! The staff was incredibly friendly and understanding – exactly what you want after such a day. We enjoyed delicious spareribs and a flavorful yellow curry, surrounded by nothing but happy faces. The view of the water, with boats gliding past, made it all perfect. Absolutely recommended!

Great place! Great atmosphere and right on the water. We ordered mussels, plaice fillet, and pork ribs. A nice glass of wine to go with it. 👍 Friendly and fast service.

First, the positives. The food was excellent. The negatives were that after we ordered, it took an hour for the food to arrive. This was after we'd pointed out three times that it was taking so long. After the third time, half the order was on the table. The mussels arrived 10 minutes later, which gave me the impression they'd simply forgotten. They also didn't put two plates on the table, so we just ate the mussels straight from the pan. All in all, a disappointment. And all for almost €80.

Lovely spot by the water, with a playground behind the restaurant that's fun for the kids. The atmosphere is a bit like a beach club/Ibiza vibe. When the sun is shining, it gives you a wonderful holiday feeling.

Recommended by some friends! They were very enthusiastic! Unfortunately, our experience with the food was much less than stellar! The spare ribs were definitely blackened, and the grilled pork rib roast was very dry! Then the Hasselbach potatoes were completely overcooked! No, sorry! This was a real disappointment for us! The carpaccio was okay, but it wasn't truffle mayonnaise, but regular mayonnaise!

We made a last-minute reservation that evening and were made very welcome. The beautiful location is lovely both inside and out, and it was pleasantly busy. While we were still enjoying our pre-dinner drinks, we were offered an even nicer spot without even asking. We both had a delicious meal! The ladies and gentlemen of "De Jongens uit de buurt" (The Boys from the Neighborhood) know how to make your dinner a successful evening! They are friendly and welcoming, and despite it being busy, they are there for you! I've eaten there once before, and everything was just as good then. Unfortunately, we live too far away to use the delivery service, but we will definitely be back!

A delicious, ever-changing menu and a beautiful location. I often sit here on the terrace by the water in good weather with a snack and a drink, which is always fantastic, but the truffle pappardelle I had today was truly a 10/10. Top-notch.

The fried eggs were delicious. Only the mustard soup was a bit sour. You have to like that, beautiful spot by the water 👍

As passers-by located in the small harbor. Therefore in this nice and cozy decorated restaurant, with pleasant service, a most delicious mustard soup eaten. Due to a cancellation we luckily still had a table for 2 but otherwise the restaurant was fully booked on Saturday evening. Reservations are therefore recommended.

The location and atmosphere are very nice, the service and the food could be better. There is enough service but hospitality and knowledge could definitely be better. The fish of the day very small, that was not communicated in advance. The amount of fries and salad was meager for 4 people. Then ask if it is enough.

Here you can enjoy something to eat or drink. The terrace on the water is especially nice when the weather is nice. There is also a beautiful playground that you can view from the terrace. I had the homemade iced tea and focaccia burrata and they were delicious!

On Easter Sunday we went to Easter brunch with 5 people. It was open from 10 am, which had the advantage that no crowds of people entered at the same time, but gradually, so no lines at the buffet. The food was very generous with many types of luxurious sandwiches, hot and cold dishes, dairy products, etc. Also orange juice, water with mint, and hot drinks. We had a great time and had a great meal. The service was also fine. As a downside, we found the space in terms of shape and size not really ideal for this event, we also missed an explanation of where everything was upon arrival, and the main objection came to light during payment: the hot drinks were NOT included in the price of the Easter brunch and were charged extra. We were NOT told this and was not mentioned anywhere. Without these minuses it would certainly have been 5 stars.

Dit restaurant straalt rust uit. Het is een mooi restaurant niet tr groot maar wel leuk om lekker te eten en te drinken. Vandaag heb ik heerlijk gegeten. Alles was goed verzorgd en de friet was niet te zout daar hou ik wel van! Maar schijnelijk wist de chef-kok dit wel. Ze maken hier heerlijke toetjes waar je heerlijk van kan genieten. Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ik vond alleen wel dat de vraag met smaakt het? Te snel kwam aangezien net 2 happen haf gegeten. Maar voor de rest was het heerlijke beleving.

Heerlijk gegeten hier. In de serre gezeten. Straalkacheltjes waren aan. Dat was fijn. Fijne bediening ook. In de zomer lijkt het me hier echt fijn zitten op het terras.

After a comment about the soup, all three of us received a cup of ginger tea with lemon or orange for free. Now that's service and being open to the customer. Class!

Nice location with cozy atmosphere.

We were there yesterday and had a really great time. The food was beautifully prepared and tasted excellent too. In terms of ambience, it was incredibly beautifully decorated. We were also very impressed with the service; the ladies knew exactly what they were doing and came to us regularly to ask if everything was okay. Something that I have only had in a few restaurants so far but found here was the question of whether one of us has allergies and if we have any, please say so and the food will be prepared accordingly. Otherwise there was also a great selection of drinks and the atmosphere in the whole store was very relaxed and happy. The toilet facilities are a bit small but well equipped. The price is really worth it. The next time we are in the area we will definitely come back.

Yesterday afternoon we enjoyed high tea with 13 family members. It was so extensive and delicious! We had a wonderful time in the greenhouse, a perfect location and attractively lit for the holidays. We have had a high tea with family before, but this one is by far the best and tastiest. Definitely recommended!

September 18, 2024. Started the Pieterpad together with my parents. We stayed 2 nights in a hiker's hut near Marenland. The restaurant they had here was fantastic. From sleeping with three people in a 3x3 cabin to delicious food in this beautiful restaurant. Very nice deck terrace, cozy bar/indoor area and a lovely conservatory. Ate here both evenings. First a drink outside, then dinner in the conservatory (at table 7). Fantastic help from Irena, Mente and the rest of the staff. Food was prepared by the (only!) 24-year-old chef Luuk Voos! The specials (diamond tenderloin with pork cheek and duck breast) were to die for! Keep it up! A really great place if you are near Winsem! Greets…denno

Enjoyed a snack and a drink on the terrace with a friend. Service was good, first drink took a bit long and the menu also took a long time to arrive. Luckily we had plenty of time and enjoyed a sun-drenched evening. Delicious food, definitely worth repeating!

For the first time we had dinner here with our dinner club (5 people). Our club goes out to eat 3 times a year (this was the 64th) and we always look for a different restaurant. The five of us will never return at the same time.

The restaurant is located directly on/at a camping site. Accordingly, there is a lot for the children to see and do. The view from the terrace is great, you can always see ships passing by. The food is very tasty. There are special dishes with slightly smaller portions for children. There is also an “activity bag” with painting and craft supplies, as well as ice cream for dessert. Absolutely recommended, especially for families!

The food is more expensive than the other cafes in NL. The service is slow. The atmosphere is good.

Service was very good despite the crowds. A spot on the water in a beautiful location near the charming Winsum is also great. However, the food was not very good: cold, undercooked fries, a lot of fat in the meat, 4 pieces of bread for €7.50. So not really recommended for dinner.

Unfortunately I cannot share the good reviews. We had made a reservation the night before, but could only do so online because the phone was not answered. Upon arrival we had a table completely in the sun (that particular warm Saturday in July) and no effort was made to look at anything else. Either that or inside. It was simply too hot to sit inside. There were several guests and they were all waving the menus to cool down a bit. In my opinion the food was overpriced for what you got. We ordered the sweet potato soup (I didn't taste any potato, but there was a lot of tomato) and pokebowl. You had to look for the pokebowl rice on your plate. Some of the staff worked hard, but despite that you noticed that you were dealing with very young people who had little to no experience in the catering industry. Another part spent a lot of time hanging around the bar, having fun and not doing much. All this means that I cannot write a good review. While we were really advised to eat there. No, I won't be coming here a second time anytime soon.
