Now a fish restaurant owned by the owner's daughters.

De Kruidfabriek has recently been renamed Fête a Vis. His two daughters run this restaurant with great enthusiasm. The name says it all: a celebration of fish. Delicious, simple, yet flavorful dishes. Fresh and beautifully presented, generous portions, and a good wine list guarantee a wonderful evening.

The farewell dinner was (as always) fantastic, but the atmosphere and service were also outstanding. We had a wonderful and enjoyable evening at the Kruidfabriek.

Very good food and very good service.

The food was fantastic again. So much flavor, and the service was artistic. I also find the selection of good wines very important. I'm glad they're open again and very curious to see what it will be like after the renovations.

The atmosphere was a bit lacking because it was very quiet, but the culinary element more than made up for it. Until next time.

Taken the five course menu. Started very well, then the waitress kept forgetting to tell us what the dish entailed. It's fun to guess for yourself. But of course that's not right.

Great event location. Good food, serviceable staff, free parking, flexible space, good bathrooms and a good atmosphere. Two improvements possible: acoustics and ventilation.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere. View of the arena. Pregnant women were also taken into account. Photo of shared appetizer, further choice of meat (photo), fish and vegetarian with fries. I thought it was a bit pricey at 39.95, but I think 5 euros less is a better price

Wonderful opportunity to have a bite to eat before a performance in the Ziggo Dome. We arrived right on time so we had plenty of time to enjoy the delicious food. Nice concept and really delicious food. To be repeated!

In the last week that the Kruidfabriek is open as a restaurant, before it continues as an event location, we had dinner here with colleagues. On the menu was the “tasting menu”, with a choice of a vegetarian menu or a meat/fish variant. Basic is four courses, additions possible. Fortunately, the menu turned out to be more flexible than how it was first told, so it was no problem to combine dishes from both menus. The food was delicious. The smoked portobello, for example, was cut so finely that the taste was very different than if you ate the whole mushroom. Or the celeriac as a main course, what a wonderfully intense taste! Still, I was a bit disappointed in the end. And that is mainly in the service and implementation. Some examples. I took the vegetarian menu, but wanted the tuna tataki as an extra course, the cold starter from the meat/fish menu. After having already had three courses and ready for dessert, I thought they had forgotten this extra dish. However, to my great surprise, it was suddenly served between main course and dessert. A very strange moment. Fortunately, the dish was delicious. The bread in advance was served with two spreads, but these were put together in a container so everything got mixed up. Drinks orders were not served or served late several times. And why does the same dessert cost 10 euros as part of the vegetarian menu, but 12 euros as part of the meat/fish menu? And when we finished eating, no one walked with us to the cloakroom, so we had to look for our coats from the rack ourselves. For the price you pay for an evening at Kruidfabriek, I expect the entire picture to be correct, and unfortunately that was not the case.

Delicious food again. It's a shame that the restaurant is moving to the Zuidas.

Delicious food from the tasting menu including delicious truffle risotto. It was enjoyable with delicious wine. It's a shame that the restaurant is being converted into an event location, but they will turn it into something special. Thank you team Kruidfabriek and see you at the Zuidas!

5* I and my husband had the classical 4 dish menu - I had the more tradicional he had the other 4. Also drank water and a glass of French rosé. The place, people and food are just perfect. We paid like 100€ (Total for 2pp) we couldn’t be more satisfied. Thank you for this fantastic experience of flavors of Dutch cuisine 🍃🍎🍆🌶🥒🧅🧄🍠🥩🥚🍛🧀🥖🥔🥧🍰🍫

After a long time we went out for dinner again to celebrate my birthday and we were really looking forward to it... Too bad the waiter paid us little or no attention; the wine list was brought and yes a wine arrangement was one of the options. But the waiter never came back to take our wine. So I asked the lady who brought the first course. There was also no refilling of empty wine glasses... When we brought the cheese platter we had to ask for port ourselves again. The waiter came with a bottle of wine, not port, to pour without explanation. I stopped him and asked what he was bringing us.... When we left we were not escorted to the door and we just looked for our coat ourselves and left. Such a shame that a nice evening unfortunately turned out to be a bad one in this way. We felt quite abandoned and therefore left alone...

Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic taste experience!

I had a very negative experience with the service of the take away option. Despite the claim on the website that the restaurant can accommodate your dietary preferences when I called to inquire about the valentines menu I was told the menu is set and cannot be changed because the restaurant is too busy. So I ordered an extra dish to supplement for the dish I do not eat. When I was preparing the meal at home I realized that the instructions for my extra dish was missing. I called the restaurant, the person who answered did not apologize for the mistake, just asked for my name and said she would email me the instructions. I waited patiently by my stove and no email arrived. Just as I was about to call back she then called back to say the email was not going through and that I needed to email them first and she would reply. I did so and she then sends over the wrong instructions despite the subject of my email containing the name of the dish. Clearly she did not listen to my complaint as she did not get my name or request correct. So I try calling back but then no one is answering the phone, this is now really ruining what is suppose to be a special Valentine’s dinner at home. After a few attempts to call another person finally picks up, again no apology but at least I finally got the instructions. Also the main dish advertised on the menu was rendang and what actually came was a stoof. The interaction with the staff and unwillingness to accommodate dietary requirements ruined the dinning experience for me and I would not recommend the dinning out option.

The location remains attractive, but it was a disappointing experience food-wise.

Due to the lockdown, we ordered the Christmas restaurant box (via AH). The very clear description, with all the ingredients, the four of us had a wonderful and pleasant Boxing Day. Peter Lute, perfect, thanks!

Update: Been here for the second time now and unfortunately the service was very disappointing compared to the last time. That is why the number of stars has also been adjusted. We had to wait a long time for the menu and it was difficult to approach someone for a coffee after dinner and to get the bill. It wasn't busy, but there wasn't much attention to the guests. We also ordered a drink in advance, which apparently was no longer available and without asking first, all 3 of us were served a different drink, which was unfortunately disappointing compared to what we ordered. Too bad you have to pay 6.50 per glass for a glass of sparkling grape juice. The milk from the cappuccinos was also much too hot and did not taste good. Fortunately, the food was tasty, but the points surrounding it make the visit a lot less valuable. We were surprised with a 4-course menu, with the starter being our favorite (see photo, delicious with different tomatoes). The portions were generous, so next time we will only have 2 or 3 courses. The bread that we ordered in advance was very nice and sturdy with delicious dips, definitely recommended to take with it.

Went for the 6-course menu. Portions quite large, but that's better than too small I'll say. In the beginning it could have been a bit more attentive, when I came to sit down it took 10 minutes before I was asked if I wanted something to drink (of course that should be done immediately). But that does not detract from the 5* experience, beautiful flavor combinations and inventive menu. Service was very good the rest of the lunch. What stood out was the wine pairing - each well-found and delicious. I highly recommend this place.

Delicious food. Good atmosphere. You immediately feel at home. The special beers from the local brewery 'de Nackte brewers' really add something. The wine list is also excellent

We went to this local restaurant for wedding anniversary meal, and were blown away by the quality of the food, both taste and presentation, along with very friendly and on the ball service

Beautifully prepared dishes made from fresh products. Everything tasted delicious, especially the cod was very popular. We opted for 4 courses a la cart with delicious matching wines. Conclusion: excellent cuisine and service. One downside, we had a table for 3 people, 2 on the semi-circular sofa facing the room and 1 on the chair looking towards the corner with a few ugly unfinished, capped heating pipes. If a beautiful plant were placed in front of it, it would look much better.

With my dietary requirements it can sometimes be a challenge for a chef to create something tasty, and what the chef from the Kruidfabriek had made for me was truly delicious. It's wonderful to be spoiled culinary like this. Absolutely recommended if you cannot eat just anywhere due to your dietary needs.

A spectacular space. The environment is wonderful. The letter is very short. Only one meat and one fish to choose from. Only three desserts!!!!!!!!. The food very well prepared. Good and very defined flavors. It is expensive. An average of €50 per person. Too much for the dishes they are. Very good service.

Had a great evening with friendly staff who make you feel welcome. The tomato tea was a big surprise because of how it was served and also because of the taste (in my opinion the highlight of the dinner). Fennel with yuzu and hoisin was a great combination and a taste experience in itself. For dessert we had the elderflower with basil ice cream and mango. No better way to end dinner. The new Verdejo house wine is very tasty. We had a delicious meal with you and would like to thank you again for the good care. Until next time!

I would give the kitchen a 5/5 but unfortunately the service was much less than can be expected from a place like this. The food is of great quality and is definitely in the higher segment. The location matches this, the Kruidfabriek being a historic site with a nice interior creating the right ambiance. However, the service does not match the level of the kitchen. They are unable to anticipate your needs and are not proficient in creating the right atmosphere during your dinner. Examples of this are a long wait to be seated, a long wait for a menu and food not being delivered at the same time for all guests.

Ordered 5 course menus for home, in consultation it was possible to take cow's milk allergy into account. For people with allergies, products had been replaced with something else, so not simply left out as is often the case in other restaurants. Everything neatly labeled, clear explanations and no shortage of food. It was extremely tasty, beautiful combinations and good quantities. To be repeated!

Had a delicious 5-course Valentine's dinner and ate it at home - everything was perfect and there was a good explanation for finishing the courses at home... the bottle of Cava wine also tasted excellent.

We had a fantastic takeaway dinner. I hesitated for a moment because you still have to finish it yourself, but that was really super simple. It's really just a matter of heating it up and putting the ingredients together. The food is very delicious and the portions are large, especially if you also include meat or fish. We will definitely do this more often.

In lockdown, enjoy the delicious dishes from De Kruidfabriek at home. It's possible! We have already enjoyed Lute's Take Away box twice. Under the guidance of the chef via YouTube, we conjured up a delicious 3-course dish in no time in our own home restaurant. Of course we dressed up nicely for this occasion and bought a delicious glass of wine. That made the evening complete. This is highly recommended! Although we can't wait to eat among the people in the restaurant again. To be continued...

Delicious (takeaway) Christmas menu!

Dear Kruidfabriek employees, Our 5-course Christmas dinner from you was a great success. Partly thanks to the clear videos, all dishes were successful! The choice to have the celeriac as the 3rd course was excellent. It created an eager appetite to continue with the quail. Delicious. Toot was great! Kudos, greetings Erwin.

Opted for the vegetarian Taka Away menu and it was excellent(!). Clear instructional videos, all ingredients clearly and conveniently packaged. And perhaps most importantly: delicious food. Thank you Lute for enriching our Christmas dinner!

Fantastic restaurant and employees. On Monday evening we had dinner with the family at the spice factory to celebrate something. The interior of the restaurant is tasteful. The service is friendly, alert and prompt. Tuna starter and duck as main course approached perfection. Shortly before the visit to the Kruidfabriek we had dinner at a Michelin star restaurant in France (La Meynardie). The quality of the food and the staff were at least (!) at the same level. White house wine a 10.

Had a business lunch, very tasty and professional but also approachable, friendly service. Recommended - it is difficult enough in 'Corona time' to offer a good experience to customers; you have succeeded extremely well in this.

It is easy to reserve a table via the website. The email confirmation afterwards also gives the option to change or cancel the reservation. Ample parking spaces. Very friendly service. Good wine list and delicious dishes. It is nice to relax in the garden.

Very good food, refined and surprising dishes with excellent wine pairing.

We learned about this place during COVID and took advantage of their takeaway menu. What great tasting dishes! We came back for a lunch when it reopened and the place is beautiful. Nice large patio with a pool. Food felt very genuine, premium, and well executed. We went back two more times to try different dishes (e.g. steak tartare inside the bone, rhubarb dessert, ...)

Really good food and wine. Excellent staff. And the location in an old factory has lots of character. They grow their own herbs, and have the best ingredients. Highly recommended!

Very colorful, beautifully made plates. Friendly, gentle service. We sat in a prime spot, a comfortable sofa in the conservatory. Relaxed atmosphere, experience of total relaxation. Nice green garden environment. Music and ambiance perfect for good conversation.
