Not recommended. Food not very good. Service okay.

The food was good, and the prices were reasonable too. The staff were a bit less friendly and rushed. We had barely finished our last bite and hop, our plates were already cleared away.

Had a delicious meal!! The choice is more than sufficient. Cozy interior. We were served by a friendly Polish girl with a nice smile and a funny way of speaking. A mix of Dutch and German 😃 She knows her trade, which is a problem these days. Until next time 👍

Nice restaurant with friendly staff. Varied menu for both meat and fish lovers. The only downside of the terrace is that the local lowlifes regularly race past in noisy cars. You might like it, of course 😉.

Beer menu changed in a way I'm not happy about. Westmalle Tripel is no longer on the menu. Leffe Blond and alcohol-free are no longer on the menu. So back to looking for a new terrace where these are still served.

Then I wouldn't have ordered the onion soup

Delicious meatball sandwich and great toasted sandwich. Lovely seating behind the glass, yet still outdoors. We feel the service could be a bit more talkative. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars for that.

Even upon entering the restaurant, the beautiful, cozy atmosphere is immediately apparent – ​​you feel instantly comfortable and welcome. The decor is stylish yet very inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The food was simply outstanding. All the dishes were freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. You can tell right away that the food is cooked with passion. We would especially like to commend the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The employees were consistently warm and helpful, making our visit even more enjoyable. Overall, we had a truly wonderful evening and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely return! 5 out of 5 stars – absolutely deserved! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food was fine, but not outstanding. Both the chicken and the satay were a bit dry, while the sauce in the satay masked that. The staff was a bit curt but not unfriendly. Middle of the road, 3 stars.

We had a lovely lunch at the Stadsherberg. The interior is atmospheric and cozy, and despite the crowds, the atmosphere was still relaxed. The food arrived surprisingly quickly and was well prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, which made the experience complete. A nice place for a tasty lunch in a pleasant setting. Highly recommended!

Disappointing. Prices are high. The appetizer platter was decent but nothing to write home about. The satay was overcooked and therefore very dry and actually not tasty. There was a skewer on my plate with a container of raw vegetables, a handful of prawn crackers, and a small portion of fries. I had heartburn and was extremely thirsty all night, which is a shame.

Vandaag weer her Pieterpad gelopen. Van te voren uitgezocht waar we wilden eten en dat is de Stadsherberg geworden. Mooi restaurant, zeer vriendelijk personeel en werden vlot geholpen. We hebben allebei saté gegeten met bijgerechten en dit was heerlijk. Voor het nagerecht heb je 4 keuzes, maar met een dame blanche zijn we al snel blij. Ook deze was heerlijk. Met een voldaan gevoel zijn we vertrokken en dat zeg ik niet snel.

Today we walked the Pieterpad again. We decided in advance where we wanted to eat, and we ended up at the Stadsherberg. Beautiful restaurant, very friendly staff, and we were served quickly. We both had satay with side dishes, and it was delicious. For dessert, there are 4 choices, but we are easily satisfied with a Dame Blanche. This was delicious too. We left feeling satisfied, and I don't say that easily.

Great choice. Friendly staff, easy and free parking (Sunday). The group enjoyed the half-and-half. The toast was a bit burnt, and the bread could have been a bit thicker. We sat outside, and you do hear a lot of traffic, but that shouldn't bother you.

Het eten was niet verkeerd maar verder niet bijzonder. Dessert keuze is beperkt en erg standaard. Wel vriendelijk personeel en het is ansich een leuke zaak. Wij hadden de pech dat ze ons een tafel langs zeer rumoerige gasten hadden gezet dus dat was echt een domper.

Friendly ladies in the service. Atmosphere inside (depending on where you sit) quite fine. It's a shame that my nut/peanut allergy was not handled well and I got the hot meat sandwich with a mountain of cashew nuts. Due to limited time for lunch, I swapped with a tablemate. The food was fine. Not bad, but nothing special either.

Turkey skewer was undercooked, but it was resolved well in the kitchen and was very tasty afterwards. Also good service with Kabouter beer.

We spontaneously went to this restaurant in the early afternoon. The waitresses were all very friendly and accommodating. There was only a small menu as it was past lunch time. The food was good, the price/performance ratio was good. Apparently we still have to get used to the increased restaurant prices and smaller plates. What we needed to get used to was that the food (meat skewer with satay sauce, fries and salad decoration) came on a board with paper. Maybe it was the afternoon menu. But these were just our personal impressions.

Heerlijk gegeten en enorm gastvrij ontvangen door serveerster Erica. Heel spontaan en gezellig, daar houden we van! Wij namen de biefstuk en onze kinderen genoten van de burger. Goed eten, eerlijke prijs en gezellige entourage.

I sat down on the terrace for a moment of rest during a bike ride, but turned out to be sitting "in a blind spot", where the staff could not see me from the inside. That's why I registered myself after a while. A look at the restaurant showed me that it is basic, but cozy. I will come back to make a choice from the menu.

Voor diner zou ik hier niet naartoe gaan. Duurde een eeuwigheid voordat er geserveerd werd. 3 kwartier gewacht op hoofdgerecht. Als we dan vriendelijk vragen of het eraan komt, krijgen we een bot antwoord. Saté was zonder kroepoek, Saus kwam uit de fles, de biefstuk was taai. Niet terug gegeven, anders duurde het weer zo lang en zou partner al klaar zijn met eten. Daarom kleine stukjes gemaakt. Afrekenen ging wel snel! Was 1x maar nooit meer. Er zijn betere restaurants voor hetzelfde bedrag.

Enjoyed a delicious lunch, opted for the half past one. Very tasty tomato soup with a secret ingredient that we couldn't place, but which gave off a pleasant taste. And in addition; very tasty coffee!!!!! We will definitely come back......

Sehr leckeres Essen mit wechselnder Mittags- und Abendkarte! Wir haben bis jetzt nur die Mittagskarte probiert aber waren damit schon sehr zufrieden! Update: wir waren am nächsten Tag nochmal abends da. Das Wildschwein und der Ziegenkäsesalat waren 1a :)

Wir kommen seit Jahren hierher wenn wir hier Urlaub machen, wurden immer sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war stets hervorragend. Im Sommer sitzt man wunderbar im Biergarten und im Winter ist das Restaurant schön geschmückt, tolles Ambiente. Wir werden immer wieder kommen.

Bedrogen en afgezet. Zo voelt het. Ik vraag nog: verse vlaai bij de koffie? Jazeker! En vervolgens diepvriesappeltaart op tafel. Ook eventjes zes euro voor een dubbele espresso vragen. Door dit soort zaken gaat de Nederlandse horeca kapot. Ga je eerst even schamen, Jasper, en vervolgens normaal doen. Dat werkt op de langere termijn beter dan dit soort geintjes.

De Stadsherberg in Gennep. Al zo vaak langs gekomen op onze fietstochten, altijd gezellig druk. Afgelopen zondag is het er toch van gekomen, heerlijke koffie op het terras gedronken. Vlotte vriendelijke bediening, gaan zeker nog eens terug stonden heerlijke lunchgerechten op de kaart, tot dan !!

Prijs kwaliteit is prima in orde

Prima gegeten. Het eten was niet heel bijzonder, gemiddelde gerechten van gemiddelde kwaliteit. Allergie doorgegeven (o.a. Paprika), op het bord lag wel gewoon een hele paprika net zoals bij de rest. De bediening was goed en snel!

Heerlijk eten en heel vriendelijk personeel.

Gewoon perfect, eten goed, service goed ambiance top. Mooi groot terras met veel ruimte. Tafels hoog genoeg voor een rolstoel en alles goed toegankelijk zonder drempels.

Goed gegeten, maar de prijzen zijn veel en veel te hoog, hier slaan ze er echt een slaatje uit. Porties zijn minimaal. Frietzakjes moet je delen. En zo goed als niets zelf gemaakt. Voor die prijzen verwacht je wat meer.

Heerlijk een drankje gedaan en wat bitterballen.

Super gezellig, leuk eettentje. Vlot en vriendelijk personeel. Super lekker eten en prima qua prijs. De vissalade is echt een aanrader!!! Flink bord vol met goede kwaliteit vis!!!!
