Great service and it's almost impossible but food was super, super, super

Seriously, the best nachos in all of Wijchen, maybe even the Netherlands. I'm a chip connoisseur, and I've never tasted such delicious chips. This place is definitely recommended to everyone.

We've been here many times, always good food and a nice atmosphere. It has gotten expensive though. But this was the second time we went for the otherwise good "oysters deal." It was packed because it was so busy, and the music outside was so loud that we had to flee inside.

Today I enjoyed a lovely lunch with a good friend at DE TYD. The bottom of my glass fell out just as I was about to take a sip of the orange juice. Tough luck, it happens. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the owner's reaction when I spoke to him. I asked what to do next. I was still eating. They had already removed my plate. I had one sip of the fresh orange juice. My clothes and bag were dirty. He said he would check the kitchen to see what I hadn't finished from lunch and wash the clothes there. That was a bit difficult because I never take clean clothes with me when I go to lunch. I did get another lunch. But that was it! Customer loyalty? No! They won't be seeing me again.

Unfortunately, it was a flop. Service was very slow and inattentive. We ordered seven items, one of which was forgotten and one was delivered incorrectly. The prices are quite high: €15 for a sandwich that tasted absolutely average. The tea was two-thirds full, but cost €3.20. Overall, disappointing.

We had a delicious meal, and it's great that you're open on Mondays. We had an evening out for two (which we don't do often) and wanted to eat out. Many restaurants are closed on Mondays, so you really scored points there.

The food was good. Had to wait a long time for our dishes. 4 courses in 3.5 hours I thought was long.

Had a lovely lunch. We never come to Wijchen. We go there on spec. Turns out the "Wijchense Kasteelfeesten" take place on Ascension Day. We did manage to find a (parking space) and fortunately also a table. A great place to stay.

Atmospheric location, food was ok, but not more than that. Fortunately in good company.

Food bad. Soggy fried mushrooms, inedibly hard and cold beef cheek in bitter sauce. Beef tenderloin skewer seemed to be pre-fried and then reheated. Ice cream and ice cold tomato panna cotta. Service friendly, but often had to wait too long. Sagging sofa, which was annoying (back pain). Totally overpriced. Not worth repeating.

Too much noise, minimal dinner menu, poor quality. For coffee and tea etc is okey, good terrace.

A gem in Wijchen! The atmosphere is great, the service is nice and fast and the food is super tasty for the price. We did the high tea and there is little bad to say about it, other than the fact that the tea pot she used was very heavy, especially when it was completely filled. So if you have wrist/hand problems, I would leave the tea serving to someone else!

I don't really understand where the many negative reviews come from. Had a delicious meal at this restaurant yesterday! I had a 4 course menu and it was more than sufficient. All dishes were beautifully prepared and extremely tasty. The staff was also very friendly and did their best on the busy Saturday evening. There was just enough time between dishes. I can't think of anything negative about this restaurant and we will definitely go there again!!!

Enjoyed lunch but you literally have to "take your time". Maybe because of the crowds but we had to wait a very long time. Eventually everything was fine but still.

When ordering fresh juice and then receiving it and asking whether it is freshly squeezed or comes from a package, the answer is; out of suit. When I say that this is not fresh gravy, I get the response: "It just depends on how you look at it". Also note fresh orange juice on the receipt for 4.90 euros??! Really scandalous. Have to wave to staff yourself to order lunch. When ordering, please indicate "without tomato" and you will receive it. Expect better service in this segment..

Tyd in Wijchen has service that would make even a snail impatient. My mother gets ice in her drink like she's a VIP at a five-star restaurant, I get a lukewarm Rivella like I'm exiled to the shadowy realms. Even bringing the Rivella and Cassis took half a generation. People who came after us and literally sat next to us received their glasses of beer earlier. Do I ask for ice cubes? Will take another century. Might as well have flown to Antarctica myself, chopped an iceberg and come back. Management looks as if I have personally stolen their souls. Really that “why are you breathing?” look. As if they are standing there with a gun to their head. Incredible. ⭐☆☆☆☆ – One star, because in the end I got my ice cream… but my will to live was already gone by then.

I invited someone for lunch...my guest had smoked salmon bread. I was embarrassed...it was very little salmon cut into strips. Expensive for what was served, unfortunately it was disappointing.

Nice and cozy furnishings. Delicious dishes, great!

October 15, 2024 Beautiful interior. Cheerful and attractive decor. Friendly service... but oh how slow the service was!!! Perhaps there is a word or two missing from the name of this restaurant? Just fill in... We were allowed to order drinks after half an hour. We had to wait 1 hour to take our dinner order... and it was not busy at all. There was also at least half an hour between the courses of mini dishes (4 in total). The waitress felt it necessary to take the shortest route back and forth, which meant she kept bumping into my chair and me. Even when I pushed my chair back she still did it!! And they just laugh sheepishly... The wine was good. Food was okay. Lots of fat on the meat. 1 small bowl of fries for 4 people is of course very economical. Mayonnaise in a small container without a spoon; How are 4 people going to use that? No, I won't be coming back here for dinner. Maybe a drink on the terrace...

Way too expensive for the quality, nice terrace with nice atmosphere. But overall overrated and not worth the money at all. So it is not recommended

Excellent restaurant for an informal meal. Due to the large space there is a lot of noise.

Everything tasted great, not a large menu but something for everyone. I find it easy that you don't have 20 dishes to choose from. Cozy atmosphere, good location, nice tent

Poor inattentive service with long waiting periods between courses. The drinks also take ages to arrive and empty bottles/glasses are not removed. All meals that are part of the mix&match come with the same boring vegetables that are usually not cooked properly (still hard) and are served in a strange order (cold carpaccio at 2130?). Duck leg was slightly burned black. Quite a lot of flies, but maybe that was because the doors to the terrace were open as it was clean otherwise. Really doesn’t feel as a restaurant, more as a bar. Would not recommend for dinner.

Had lunch on the terrace. The service was fine, but the food was very disappointing. I had asked for a toasted sandwich with ham and goat cheese to replace the young cheese. When I ate it I immediately tasted a bitter taste, the crumbly goat cheese was no longer good! This gives the cheese a bitter taste. After consultation with the kitchen, the service offered to give me another sandwich. So I ordered the tuna melt. However, this contained pine nuts, which is a strange combination with tuna melt. My table companion had a hummus and avocado sandwich, which is quite a strange combination in itself. We noticed that the menu contained all 'invented' dishes that do not really combine... That gives us the impression that there are no real gourmets in the kitchen, otherwise you wouldn't serve this. Shame! For such a terrace you expect good quality food and not spoiled goat cheese. Unfortunately not recommended.

I sat outside on the terrace in the evening. Depending on the wind I would recommend a smoke-free zone. I'm used to quite a bit. But with all those parasols, the smoke still lingers.

Wir waren heute da gewesen. Die Polster im Außenbereich sind dreckig. Der Tisch (dreckig) wurde erst auf nachfragen und bitten gereinigt, obwohl man vorher schon die Gläser die dort noch standen abgeräumt hat. Personal insgesamt sehr unaufmerksam, wir wurden mehrfach gesehen und ignoriert. Essen kam als wir noch keine Getränke hatten.... Getränke hattev sehr lange gedauert obwohl nicht viel los war bzw nicht viele Gäste mit uns kamen. Ich arbeite selbst in der Gastronomie und das war leider nichts.... Essen war ok, aber auch etwas teurer.... Hinweis, in einen Aperol gehört Orange und keine Zitrone.....

Waren zum Lunch dort. Gemütlich unter Bäumen. Der Service war ziemlich schnell. Leider war unsere Bedienung jetzt nicht die Beste. Wir bestellten Hummersuppe und danach eine Kip Pizza. Die Suppe dauerte extrem lang, so dass uns dann irgendwann klar wurde, dass alles zusammen serviert wird. Zum Glück war die Pizza lauwarm. Somit hatten wir Zeit die heisse Suppe zuerst zu Essen. Das Essen selber war sehr gut und hat geschmeckt. Ansonsten hat alles super geklappt.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, but very expensive for the simple dishes. Main courses of no more than a few bites, with little preparation, for well over EUR 20. A total of EUR250 for 5 people considering what we got for it; not proportionate. I really didn't think it was possible... It seemed to me as if the price was not well matched to the skills of the kitchen: hamburger bun with some loose fries on the side for EUR 25, 'entrecote' of less than 200 grams I think; certainly not a full meal! It certainly wasn't enough for me. It was also infested with flies, which was very uncomfortable, but that may have another cause. NB No detriment to service and location itself which was good!

Gezellige plek om naartoe te gaan. In vergelijking met enkele maanden geleden is de kwaliteit helaas achteruit gegaan: er werd wat anders geserveerd dan op de kaart vermeld stond waarbij de ober volhield dat het was, wat er op de kaart stond. Ook kwam er op het vermelden van een allergie een wedervraag “of het een allergie was of dat ik er gewoon niet lekker van werd”. Na een klacht over het geleverde werd, na intern overleg, wel een nieuwe maaltijd geserveerd maar in tegenstelling tot het voorgerecht was deze matig. Jammer van een avondje uit.

The quality of the food and the service have deteriorated compared to a few months ago. The main course was served with bacon even though this was not stated on the menu. When making a comment about this, it was claimed that this was on the map and that I should have known this. There was also a response to a comment about an allergy: "Is it an allergy or does it just not make you feel good?" A second waiter consulted with the manager after which a new meal was served. Unfortunately I had to eat this alone because my table companion had already finished his food 😉. Quality of the food was mediocre. In short: both quality and service are clearly less than they used to be.

Nice tent! Modern furnishings and nice, friendly staff! Nice promotions such as oysters for 1 euro every 1st Sunday, which was a nice surprise when we went to eat👌

The food itself is good, but the service is poor. We ordered chateaubriand, first we received 2 bowls of fries, a few minutes later the plates arrived and then the meat also had to come from the kitchen. The sauce was missing, after indicating this only the red wine sauce came. Asked again where the mushroom sauce was... it was coming, they said. Well we waited for several minutes again and had to speak to a waitress again after which the mushroom sauce was finally brought. Even after we had finished eating for quite some time, our plates or table remained... In short, a bad experience and one that we will not repeat. Oh yes, and smoking is allowed on the terrace... now this is not prohibited, but it seemed as if the entire terrace was smoking, quite gross if you are eating next to it.

We used to go to this restaurant regularly, but the quality is rapidly deteriorating, both of the food and the service. Today we had dinner with my girlfriend. Orders from a male manager. Firstly, I literally sat for 5 seconds and was already asked what we wanted to drink. We didn't even have time to look at the map quietly. Then place your order. My girlfriend got the food and after 15 minutes I still had nothing. When I called the waitress, it turned out that they had not passed on my order. There was no apology, even a slight snarl that I could have seen it because I had not received any cutlery. Later it turned out that the male manager in casual clothes was standing at the side of the restaurant having fun with acquaintances. Was probably almost done with work and rushed off our order and therefore only passed on half of it. Thought it would be nice to have a nice meal together, but having a nice meal together was out of the question. Both were just food. And you can pay €50 for that, but you couldn't even get an apology. Furthermore, I think the food is becoming increasingly salty. To the extreme. We ate at one o'clock and I'm still thirsty at five o'clock. It looks like McDonalds. The portions are also not in proportion to the price. A small simple salad with chicken and egg costs €17, which is a lot of money. Read more bad reviews about the poor service where many things go wrong and no excuses can be given. I should do something about that because in a few years you will no longer have a reputation. Would you take a close look at your staff, because that will make or break everything. And in this case it leans more towards breaking. Because the more luxurious concept of Room 4, which should be the Tyd, is not reflected at all in either the food or the service. Only in price and looks.

Te treurig voor woorden. Na een minuut of tien, nadat we gearriveerd waren werden we geholpen. Een biertje en een cola besteld en om de diner kaart gevraagd . Onze dranken lieten toch zeker een kwartier op zich wachten , bij het uitserveren hiervan gelijk onze keuze wat eten betreft doorgegeven. Tien minuten later een wijntje besteld, na toch minstens een kwartier, geen wijntje, dus even nagevraagd of deze wellicht was vergeten, excuses, wijntje kwam eraan was de boodschap, echter tien minuten later, nog geen wijn. Nogmaals gevraagd waar deze bleef, wederom excuses, zou onmiddellijk geregeld worden. Nog weer tien minuten later, nog immer geen wijn. Ook nog steeds geen gerechten op tafel terwijl mensen die naast ons zaten, die toch zeker twintig minuten later besteld hadden, al wel het een en ander op tafel hadden staan. Navraag , excuses , er was iets mis gegaan in de keuken en mijn wijn zou er nu toch echt aankomen. Warempel , eindelijk werd ons eten en de bestelde wijn uitgeserveerd. Nadat we uitgegeten waren om de dessertkaart gevraagd, een koffie met friandises en likeur besteld. Helaas, ook hier hebben we weer bijna een half uur op moeten wachten, na drie keer navragen waar een en ander bleef. Het kopje koffie had een voetbed, een bijgevoegd koekje zag er niet meer uit door de geknoeide koffie. Tot overmaat van ramp, nadat ik contant had afgerekend kreeg in nota bene ook nog eens € 20.00 te weinig terug . Tjsaa, wij schrijven niet snel een recensie, overal kan wel eens iets mis gaan maar dit was toch wel echt heel treurig, helaas, wij kunnen er niets anders van maken. Wij snappen dat het druk is vanwege de vierdaagse en hebben best wel wat geduld maar dit sloeg toch werkelijk alles.

Bad judgement. This is the 2nd time we have not been served well. The first time we were ignored, service saw us sitting on the terrace and did not come to us. 2nd time, last night we placed an order, 2 cappuccinos, it took quite a while. People who came later saw that they had their drinks, only then did the waitress see that our order had not yet arrived.... oh yes, what did you order again??? 2 cappuccinos...how difficult can it be. I said it was no longer necessary and left... So never go there again. Felt a little discrimination because I have a tan....

Heel goed en lekker gegeten, zeer netjes en sfeervol. Gezellig gezeten. Porties zijn wel erg klein ,maar wat je krijgt is top . De keuze voor 3 of 4 gangen menu is goed ,maar als je iets anders besteld is wel aan de prijs ( tournedos) Ook moet je friet met mayonaise ook nog betalen.

Very tasty with a good price/quality ratio and nice that you can freely select 4 dishes from starters, main courses and desserts for a fixed price.

A cozy restaurant. We opted for a 4 course dinner. The quality of the food was also more than fine. Deer carpaccio was really tasty. Duck was great. Stew that went well on its own. Scallops also fine. Friendly service. In any case, I think it's worth it here. The only downside was that we were not sitting at a table, but at a table with bar stools. That didn't sit well

Had a delicious meal here in restaurant De Tyd. The atmosphere was fantastic and we were served very well by the staff, especially Sem!

We really enjoyed the Tuesday evening, the service welcomed us with a smile and drinks were on the table in no time. It was noticeable that the food was prepared with care. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a nice and good meal!

Gezellig geluncht, goede salades en flinke uitsmijters en heerlijke soep werd gesetveerd, door het vriendelijke personeel.

Mooie zaak, chique interieur. Eten is behoorlijk aan de prijs in verhouding voor wat je krijgt. Het is bovendien erg lang wachten. Een uur tussen de gerechten is echt niet leuk meer. Gelukkig zat ik in goed gezelschap, maar de volgende keer wel ergens anders naar toe.

Hier wezen eten met mijn dochter van 8. We hadden een mama-dochterdag en zij mocht kiezen waar we zouden eten. Aangezien ik in het verleden positieve ervaringen had met het Wapen van Wijchen ging ik er met dezelfde verwachtingen heen. Maar helaas werden deze verwachtingen niet waargemaakt. De bediening had erg veel moeite te glimlachen of vriendelijk te doen. De enige bij wie ik een beetje gastvrijheid bespeurde is de vermoedelijke eigenaresse. De scholfilet die ik had besteld was precies dat. De groente die erbij kwam was nog minder dan schaars en de vis zelf was niet bijzonder lekker. Mijn dochter had de kipsate, maar de saus heeft ze niet aangeraakt en heel begrijpelijk ook. Hij smaakte alleen maar zoet weeïg. De kip zelf was wel ok, in ieder geval mals. Het toetje hebben we uiteindelijk ergens anders gehaald. Dit is een tent welke probeert hip en luxe te zijn. De kaart is daar duidelijk op ingericht, er staan ook geen aparte kinderkeuzes op. De gerechten pretenderen exclusief te zijn, maar in mijn ervaring is dat vooral in de ingrediënten terug te vinden en niet in de uitvoering. Dit is zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ook valt het op dat de bediening erg jong is en over weinig vakkennis beschikt... Mocht dit in de toekomst beter gaan dan ben ik zeker bereid om de Tyd weer een kans te geven maar na de deceptie van zondag ben ik er even helemaal klaar mee.

Prima eten en de zitjes die gecreëerd hebben zijn echt gezellig. Service is ook ok vriendelijk. De tijd heeft wel stilgestaan als je naar de bierkaart kijkt. Verder redelijk aan de prijs.

Gezellig terras, mooi aangekleed, aardig personeel De latte macchiato was lekker, had wel iets mooier aangekleed mogen worden en de chocoladesiroop smaakte meer naar caramel

Vriendelijke personeel leuke sfeer. Alleen 1 ding de latte maccaiato chocolade smaak kon beter chocolade smaak ontbrak en neigde meer naar caramel smaak.

Lugar bonito y acogedor pero el servicio muy lento .

De prijs kwaliteit verhouding vind ik niet goed. Wat je krijgt voor wat je betaald vind ik erg prijzig. Brood was hard en de zalm was niet erg smaakvol. Bediening was wel erg aardig!

Mooi terras, lekkere koffie. Afgelopen zaterdag bij De Tyd in Wychen een lekker kopje koffie gedronken. Jong, leuk en vriendelijke bediening. Mooie zaak, mooi stijlvol ingericht.

Héél gezellige 3-gangen menu uitetentje gehad, tegen té hoge kosten vanuit mijn mening. Goede, vriendelijke, deels sexy, verstandige medewerkertjes. Mét gouden bestek ≈ prefect!

Na een jaar maar weer eens geprobeerd. Al eerder een recensie geschreven. Wederom gelunched.... kaaskroketten op brood. Kleine kroketjes, genoeg voor 1 boterham. De andere boterham heb je dan over. Maar daar kun je de lading sla op doen die erbij zit. 10 euro en een gemaakte vriendelijkheid van een te popi mannelijke bediening. Ga het niet meer proberen.

Gezellige locatie, fijne ambiance, goede kaart en een prima service. Niks meer aan toe te voegen, aanrader!

Zojuist heerlijk op het terras gezeten samen met mijn vriendin met een lekker choco brownie taartje Heerlijk dikke aanrader Tevens zeer gastvrij 5 sterren!

Aangenaam verrast was ik over dit café restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening die verstand van zaken heeft en je prima kan helpen bij bv welke wijn bij je gerecht. En prima garing van het lam en dat kan niet elke kok.

Alleen wat gedronken. Lekkere ijskoffie en dat krijg je niet vaak. Gezellig terras.

Eggs Benedict met zalm, alledrie hetzelfde besteld. Gepocheerde eieren koud met niet volledig gestold eiwit, hollandaise saus koud en zuur, extra zalm (+€4,00) zowat niet te vinden. Enorm teleurstellend!

We vierden onze trouwdag. Hadden het verrassingsmenu en dat was toevallig ons menu van 53 jaar geleden. Het was heerlijk en bij het dessert kregen we "vuurwerk" Heel attent.

Prima plek om zeer lekker te eten

Lekker en gezellig zitten eten , met vriendelijk en net personeel met mooie bedrijfskleding voor de zomer !!!
