A great location with very friendly staff. The homemade egg ball is especially recommended.

Got food around 6 p.m. The food wasn't good, the fries were lukewarm, the special meatball was lukewarm, and the snack was cold. That's why it's only 1 star. Very poor. The food is always good. Yesterday it was very poor.

The best cafeteria in Appingedam and the surrounding area! Always friendly, very clean, and the food is prepared with great care and expertise. I don't know of any cafeteria that does as well with their food as this one. Keep up the good work!

We were here for lunch. You order in the restaurant and your food is brought to your table shortly afterwards. Menu only in Dutch, but the age group helps with translation. We ordered Frikandel XXL Special, currywurst, and kipcorn. It was very tasty; we sat outside. We had our dog with us, so that wasn't a problem either. Fries were very tasty and there were lots of different sauces to choose from. Accessible.

Now ordered snacks for the umpteenth time. Fries are delicious, but again the bread snacks are insufficient. There is hardly any sauce on the sandwiches. The sauce on top of the snack, so that it is absorbed by the sandwich. Buns are dry. Onion excessively present. Conclusion insufficient. This can certainly be improved.

We usually order in Delfzijl, but the last time at the fortress I thought the fries were so delicious! This time I also wanted to order something here again with a group of friends. When I opened the bag with my 2 croquettes I didn't notice it at all, but I saw some legs on the second one. I found a fried ?? in the bag I think there is a ??beetle??? (Not an expert in insects). I called immediately, but I had been the only one on hold for 10 minutes. My appetite was immediately gone. Shame. I don't need extra protein. They also have good fries!

A large chip shop where you can sit outside and inside. Looks nice, 2 brothers with staff hard at work. Friendly to customers and children get candy from a jar.👍

Good prices with friendly staff

Back to work in Appingedam today after 5 years. We immediately had a delicious meal at the fortress. The new location is super neat, beautiful and well organized. The food is still old-fashioned good

Food is what you expect from a snack bar, fried food... But the waiting times are enormous. Order placed at 1700 for the first option (1830). Finally the order was ready at 1900. (People who came in to order received their (large) orders earlier.) The last time for now! We will go to one of the other businesses in Appingedam.

Ordered a barbecue for 15 people. According to the list, you get steak, chicken thigh skewers, Black Angus burgers and pork steaks. Instead of black angus burgers, it came with bacon and 15 people had to share 10 chicken thigh skewers. This indicated that we were not satisfied with this, we would pass this on, but unfortunately we heard nothing more. Everything else was well taken care of, the salads, bread, sauces, but for the money you paid For 375 euros, you can expect that you will get what is promised.

For me the best burger I've ever had. The Hercules burger is highly recommended and was absolutely delicious. No complaints about this case

Had a delicious meal at this snack bar, the satay dish was sublime. We received a warm fresh sandwich with the menu and a choice of 4 potato dishes and fresh salad! The plate was more than sufficient. This makes a person happy. Clean snack bar and very friendly staff!

Coincidentally we passed by this beautiful snack bar. Then we go inside to have something to eat. We ordered a (pork) satay menu. There was a choice of four different potato side dishes, which makes a person happy. When the food was served, it was noticeable that it was a large plate, with fresh raw vegetable salad and even a warm roll. The price wasn't too bad for what you got. And friendly staff made the total 5 stars.

Cafeteria 'de Vesting' has moved to a first-class location. Beautifully located in the center, good parking options, accessible from many directions. A beautiful building, beautifully renovated. Quality is still fine. The paper packaging and containers make me very happy. It's also nice that there are NO containers under the frikandels and croquettes.
