Cute small Shop at the entrance of Wah Nam Hong within the big Markthal, lots of different Pastries and also matcha drinks. Friendly service and accepts cash/cashless. Took some for takeaway and enjoyed at home with friends. There are no seats, it’s like a bakery selling point only. The small pieces were delicious! Highly recommended to try it out.

Divine Maia truly serves the best matcha I’ve ever tasted. Since then, I’ve become a regular and can’t imagine my life without their matcha and pastries. Not only is the matcha super flavorful and authentic, but the pastries are also out of this world! Each one is more creative and delicious than the last. My husband absolutely adores the pistachio cheesecake—it’s a must-try! And my kids? They’re in love with the nama chocolate. Their faces light up every time I bring home new treats from Divine Maia. A huge shoutout to Thu, the owner. She’s the kindest, sweetest person and always makes me feel so welcome. Thu’s warm heart and generosity—like giving me extra cakes for my kids—make every visit so special. Her creativity is endless, and every new pastry she comes up with leaves me amazed. And Stella is just as lovely—both these ladies brighten up my day with their smiles and care. I’ve even managed to get my colleagues addicted to Divine Maia’s matcha and pastries. I had a black sesame and red bean cheesecake for the first time and I have honestly never eaten something as delicious as this. If I could give it a rating I would definitely give it a 10, the service alone was absolutely great. It was well explained to me what taste I could expect from the cheesecake, as it was a dessert I was not familiar with at all. And the matcha was so tasty and pure, I really only have nice things to say about the place. Again thank you for the service<3

It was utterly divine. Everything I have tried so far has been so tasty. Their matcha, hojicha and black sesame nama chocolates are definitely my go to snacks. And not to forget the amazing, sweet and hard working woman, Thu Hien. I have always received great customer service from her. I can not wait to go back and experience more from their Asian pastries!

This place is a small gem in the markthal located near the asian super market “wah nam hong”. They offer a variety of pastries and drinks all freshly handmade by the nicest, passionated, hard working owner. The nama chocolates are the main star! She also has ordering options on the website. Will definitely check that out as future gift ideas.

Loved their various nama chocolates, though as a filipino, I was disappointed by their "ube" cheesecake. It was just sweet potato. Overall, I would recommend to avoid their ube cheesecake, and try their other chocolates and pastries instead.

Im impressed at the quality of the cheesecakes. What makes it special to me is that they have such a great variety of flavours, also seasonal like persimmon flavour and they even have durian cheesecake. Mindblown!

The nama chocolates are amazing with unique flavors and texture, the cheesecake is phenomenal, with flavors that you don’t see elsewhere and the seasonal flavors work so well. As for the drinks it hits the spot every time, when its raining and you get a hot matcha perfect, makes a gloomy day a lot brighter ^-^ The owner and the staff are the sweetest people ever.

The cream puff was so dry. The cakes often look old and have been sitting there for days. The nama chocolate is just not done right. Not enough matcha taste , texture is not right and too much sugar. Service is too slow and the person who helped me looked like she doesnt realy care.

Even though Divine Maia is a pop-up, this is one of my favorite bakeries! Every time I'm in the area I have to get something here. 😇 There is a lot of variety and everything is freshly made. All the pastries are so flavorful and it's not too sweet, but just right!

I discovered Divine Maia through a friend of mine (thanks sifra!). After the first time I came back more often because everything was so tasty! My favorite is the yuzu cheesecake. But actually you can give me anything and I'll be happy. You will receive friendly help and everyone who works here will be very nice. Definitely recommended in Rotterdam.

Here you can honestly get the best French/Asian inspired pastries and chocolate. These are always a real hit with family and friends. They only work with high-quality ingredients here and you can taste that. This also applies to their refreshing drinks, such as the matcha latte. Some favorites are the nama chocolate in flavors such as Lotus Speculoos, yuzu, black sesame and in winter they also have the Baileys flavor 😋. The madeleines and cheesecakes are also highly recommended! In short, a must visit in the Market Hall (Wah Nam Hong entrance), even if only to have a chat with the friendly owner and employees ☺️.

I have already drunk iced matcha in many places, but the iced matcha from here has been number 1 for a long time! But the rest of the range is also delicious. My absolute favorite spot for getting a sweet treat! The nama chocolates are so good and soft, I crave them every day. Same goes for the cheesecakes; they are just too good and I don’t think I’ve ever had better cheesecakes before! Especially the hojicha and the black sesame. Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious and beautiful; the flavors are unique and so much love and care is put in each pastry ❤️ Also definitely check out their drinks! I love getting myself a hojicha latte. The highlight of my visit is chatting with the owner, she is such a lovely and genuine person :) I always get my friends to come with me to get a snack, and each one of them has loved it and has pointed out that the owner is a sweetheart. 6/5 stars for sure ❤️

There’s so many to select from so you’re sure to leave with something yummy, not to mention almost every other week there’s a new addition/flavor added to the menu which is absolutely lovely since there’s a rotation of new things to try every time. Their summer drinks are my absolute favorite! Pairing some delicious treats with a refreshing drink is the best way to spend the day. Definitely recommended!

Divine Maia has the perfect sweets for any occasion. I love the blend of French patisserie inspired bites with Asian flavours incorporated. Owned by the loveliest people and also have the nicest staff at the Markthal. They are all super attentive and you can tell that they put a lot of love and care into their food. Highly recommend their choux pastries as well as their Nama chocolates.

Honestly, the best Asian inspired pastries I've had in the world actually. They reel you in with the beautiful decadent nama chocolate and then trap you with some of the best pastries ever. Amazing flavors, great textures - brings the cute factor that I miss about home too. The owner is incredible - friendly, kind, and always happy to help you make the difficult decision of what to pick. I will say, don't come here if you're afraid of getting addicted to delicious desserts! I haven't ever tried a new menu item and it not have been better and better. Made me love cheesecake.

My go to spot for a sweet treat. Owner is absolutely lovely and makes everything herself from scratch. Everything is delicious and not too sweet, which is perfect in my opinion! She always is working on new items and perfecting her current ones, and her menu also changes almost daily, making use of in season fruits and what people crave in the weather conditions.

A nice concept of Japanese-inspired French pastries, now with more variety. The owner is one of the most lovely, friendly, charming people you will ever meet! Just like the divine girlies ✨❤️ The nama chocolates have enough variety, with... Limited editions from time to time. The madeleines have a layer of nama chocolate and are delicious. The cheesecake options are delicious, the yuzu and creme brûlée are my favorite. There are dorayaki for sale that you can buy ready-made or put together yourself. The new addition of the matcha panna cotta is great, it's sweet but not too sweet, the right texture that melts in the mouth and the strawberry and blueberry pieces give a little more freshness which are a good addition. She also sells drinks and they are delicious, the matcha strawberry is my favorite. For now it is a pop-up in the market hall at Wah nam Hong and I hope it will eventually become a nice café!

One of the best places to get desserts and sweets in Rotterdam with an extremely convenient location. I’ve been coming back to Divine Maia for a year now and I’ve tried so many of the cakes, cookies, and chocolates. My recommendation is the houjicha nama chocolate, black sesame cookie, and literally any of the cakes. Would highly recommend visiting!

I tried black sesame cheesecake and it tasted perfectly. Japanese chocolate slices are soft as promised, but tiramisu flavour is just a white chocolate with some crispy crunch on top, haven't felt any particular tiramisu flavour..

Per toeval tijdens het boodschappen doen op dit pop-up bakkerijtje genaamd Divine Maia Japanese Bakery gestuit. Het zit bij de ingang van de Wah Nam Hong in de Markthal. Het is een Japanse geïnspireerde Franse patisserie. Er is keuze uit diverse varianten Nama chocolade, cheesecakes, krokante soesjes en crêperolls Leuk voor een high tea, feestje, visite of gewoon omdat het kan. Mijn interesse werkt gewekt door de diverse gekleurde chocolade vierkantjes. Ik heb een selectie van deze meegenomen en ze stellen geen van allen teleur. De uitspringer voor mij zijn de Matcha en Yuzu varianten. Had helaas maar keuze uit 2 Nama Madeleines (mijn eigen schuld omdat ik pas heel laat er was) De coffee en de yuzu. De Yuzu madeleine was top je proefde de subtiele yuzu smaak goed terug. De coffee was voor mijn smaak iets te licht(zware expresso drinker) Daarnaast heb ik een stukje matcha cheesecake meegenomen. De mensen die mij kennen weten dat ik een pastry specialist ben en HEEL kritisch daarover ben. Ik kan je vertellen no worries, de matcha cheesecake was straight 🔥🔥 Het enthousiast team kon mij alles vertellen over nama chocolade en hoe ik de producten het beste moest bewaren/eten. Een onverwachts pareltje gevonden in de Markthal en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar. Zorg wel dat je op tijd erbij bent want op=op

If you’re a matcha lover, you must definitely try matcha nama cookies and matcha cheesecake - they are amazing🥹 Another recommendation from me would be to try black sesame nama chocolate, which is my second favourite and also slightly sweeter than matcha. The final recommendation is to give it a try - try choux or madeleines, other nama chocolates or ube cheesecake.
