Donato Ristorante Pizzeria in Wijk 24 Haagse Bos

Picked up 3 pizzas today. What limp, wet crap. The crust was wet and soggy. The cheese and salami were floating in the liquid. At one point, you didn't know if you were eating the pizza crust or the box. The taste of the dough and ingredients wasn't bad in itself. But €92 for 3 pizzas and 2 pastas. It was absolutely not worth it.

Eaten at this restaurant and ordered from here many times. The food is great. However, this time the size of one of my pizzas was unusually small.

Fantastic restaurant with delicious dishes. A real Italian atmosphere and many Italian guests. Our Italian son-in-law also thought the food and the service were great!

Had a delicious pizza in The Hague! The crust was nice and crispy, the toppings fresh and well-balanced. A truly flavorful pizza with a wonderful Italian feel. Definitely recommended for pizza lovers!

We're traveling to Holland and ordered takeout pizza. Wood-fired pizza made by expert Italian hands. The shop window caught my eye: the flours used are all Italian, Caputo e Denti. Lots of good stuff. Thanks for the tiramisu... it was excellent.

Overall the food itself was great. You could taste good, authentic quality of the Italian ingredients. Although we ordered antipasti, pasta and pizza. My boyfriend specifically asked and explained to the waiter to bring the dishes one by one so that we can share and enjoy each one individually. To our surprise the antipasti and the pasta came at the same time. We were a bit disappointed and returned the pasta back, asking to bring it as a next course. The waiter took the pasta back and said that it will be prepared again for us when we are ready. Unfortunately the second time the pasta came around, No.1 it was served in a totally different plate than before. No.2 although the flavour was great, the pasta was not made fresh, it was heated up for us, it was not looking the same as the first plate we saw, which was piping hot and steaming in front of our eyes. For us this unfortunately showed the inconsistency of the kitchen and the little attention to an important detail, which is as simple as a serving plate. Too bad that this happened especially because it was a days special. At the end, bravo to the Colombian girl that saved the night. She was attentive, kind, present.

We had a fantastic meal at Donato Ristorante Pizzeria. The pizza is true Neapolitan style: light, soft, incredibly tasty and, most importantly, very easy to digest. The lasagna was also excellent We spent €83 for three main dishes, a dessert, a beer and water, which I think is a very good price for Den Haag But the real highlight, besides the food, is the outdoor seating area. The tables overlook a small canal, with a beautiful park on the other side, while swans and ducks swim peacefully in the water. It’s a wonderful setting that makes the whole experience even more special. Great food, fair prices and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely a place I would happily return to!

This was one of my favorite restaurants in The Hague, but now the quality of the dishes and food has deteriorated greatly. The food is not terrible, but not tasty either.

We arrive quite early (at 6) and got a place in the terrasse, the ambiance was really nice with the view on the forest. ++ for the antipasti tomata burrata

The pear pizza surprised me in a very positive way. The pizzas were delicious in general. You can also have a very nice dinner here.

Very good pizzas, but we had takeaway so can't confidently say how the atmosphere in the restaurant or the service is. But it looks to be nice.

I had a takeout Margherita pizza. Soft dough, delicious tomato sauce, and good mozzarella. The pizza is light, so you don't feel thirsty or heavy. I'll definitely go in person to try it fresh from the oven and try other dishes too! The tiramisu was good, although I personally didn't notice the egg flavor, but that's subjective. The ricotta and chocolate cake was good.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Downsides: the half glasses of prosecco (seriously!) and people were smoking. That is really a shame!

The rudeness of some people working at this place is unbelievable. I strongly discourage you from visiting. De onbeschoftheid van sommige medewerkers is ongelooflijk. The pizza was very tasty, which cannot be said of the pasta, which contained shrimp with sand in them that crunched when you chewed on it.

1 of the top 3 pizza places in The Hague. 100% recommend for everyone to try their pizzas, but the spaghetti in the past dish we had as a starter was slightly too al dente for our liking. Tiramisu was very light and creamy.

Bad experience, not recommended. The food was decent, but unfortunately, it was cold again. Even though issues are resolved, it is unacceptable for a steak costing 37 euros. Additionally, it turned out there was a set menu, but we were never told about it (while the table next to us was informed about it in detail). On a chalkboard, no less 🙃. The staff was anything but hospitable. Perhaps it was because we were the very first guests of the evening, but that is no excuse. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

A party of twelve people treated us to a lovely three-course meal. Abundant, tasty, and almost authentically Italian. A busy place, and for good reason.

We were guests at the restaurant on Thursday, as it was right next to our accommodation. The place was packed, but we received a friendly welcome. The food arrived relatively quickly. The pizza was fantastic, while the pasta dishes were a matter of taste. Unfortunately, the prawns were hard to find. They were overcooked, and there were never three small ones. The value for money was mediocre and too expensive. We ordered still water but received a dirty, limescale-encrusted pitcher of tap water, which we sent back. We also had to return all four of our cutlery items because they were covered in hardened, old food. All in all, we would only order takeaway pizzas from this restaurant in the future.

We visited this Pizzeria in Haag and had a mixed experience. The staff were friendly, but there was very little attention from the service side — nobody asked how the food was or checked on us during the meal, even though the restaurant only had a few occupied tables and was not busy. We ordered the vegetarian pizzas Ortolana and Sicilia. The Sicilia was unfortunately not to our taste, and we could not finish it. The first Ortolana pizza was actually good, so we decided to order another one. However, the second Ortolana was a complete disappointment. It seemed rushed, with too much watery sauce, making the pizza soggy and not enjoyable to eat. We ended up leaving most of it unfinished. Friendly staff is appreciated, but better quality control and more attention to customers would improve the experience a lot. I am still uploading image of first Ortolana ( good one ) pizza, I wish them good luck.

Italian N1 in Den Haag among the best in Holland without compromises authentic and top-quality products....pizza 10/10....best pizza ever in Den Haag far ahead of all the other places...it would be top in Italy too but in Holland it dominates....when I want to return to Italy I come here from Leiden....truly congratulations!!!!! Don't order here, guys. They said 1 hour and it's already been 1.5 hours. It just keeps sticking to 'preparing'. This could take a while. This is really disappointing. The food looked tasty to me but it's cold again now so they're no use to me.

Unfortunately, the pizzas were not very good today. The crust was thin and soggy, while the edge was tough and partially burnt.

Delivery was fast, just 30 min since s moment we placed an order. maaaaaaaar…. Spezzatino di Vitello became s DISASTER. Looks as no cow/kalf/whatever else animal was used to this dish. Restaurant said it is very thin slices a not visible in thick dark sous where green peas and mushroom are floating but.. potato out oven seems to be cooked ages ago and simply warmed up in microwave before delivery. Negative surprise for a birthday delivery, but maybe it’s a sign for me to become vegetarian lifestyle? Btw, Vitello tomato and parmigiana melaneze were good.

The gnocchi has stalked my dreams ever since.

We ordered for a take away two pizzas and they were completely different from what we ordered, lots of dripping oily cheese, and uncut pizza. Very unprofessional. The thing is, we have been ordering for years from pizza Donato and lately it has gone terrible.

Very good products in your plate, I lived the fact that the tomatoes sauce is really a add-on, lovely pizz "like in Italy", some are a bit heavy (burrata gorgonzola), the caprese is a bit too "liquid". Good Tiramisu but to me the base is missing the coffee taste and the mascarpone is too liquid, otherwise share it (10€/portion).

Unfortunately, the last dishes I ordered were disappointing. The veal with tuna sauce was almost entirely devoid of any tuna sauce, and the portion was half that size, and the beef with potatoes was inedible, rubbery, and had a texture I'd never seen before. Perhaps the only good thing left is the pizza 🍕

The very Italian experience! Everything is well seasoned and the plates are beautifully cooked and served, and the pizzas are wow! Nice selection of Italian wines and the waiters are so attentive and friendly! I’ll come back for sure ❤️ honourable mention to the dessert! A piece of art

I ordered pizzas, so the result is naturally less than fresh from the oven. However, the pizza crust was very soggy, and the artichoke hadn't been peeled off far enough, leaving the outside hard.

Spectacular pizzas and great service at a good price. We ordered a dessert that we weren't too keen on because it seemed a little burnt, and the waiter's response was excellent. Not only did they bring us another dessert, but they also didn't charge us for it. Thank you so much. A well-deserved tip. Highly recommended restaurant with one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

It's a very lovely place with a cosy atmosphere! The food was amazing with a lot of vegan and vegetarian option. I highly recommend this place.

Every week were were ordering a very nice tuna pizza and it’s been now 7-12 months that the quality and quantity of ingredients dropped: almost no tuna and the taste is less good. We Hope you can go back to your previous quality.

The food was really good but the service was pretty disappointing! The staff was friendly but never came to our table - we always had to call them just to order or ask for something. For the price you’re paying, the service really doesn’t match the quality you’d expect.

Beautiful building in a great location in the city. The decor isn't particularly atmospheric, more practical. Excellent food, great pizzas. Plenty of staff and fast service, but impersonal. The restroom is small, and the small sink is downright filthy: the result of inadequate cleaning. I'd happily return for the food, but not for the rest.

One of the best pizzerias in The Hague! I ordered the caprese and they forgot to bring the extra mozzarella, when I called they just decided to give me an entire new pizza! Wonderful service, couldn’t recommend it more.

We stopped in for a delicious dinner after a day of strolling the Mauritshuis Museum and Haage Bos. The food was delicious and the service was lovely. It was definitely one of the best pizzas I have ever had. The atmosphere in the restaurant felt like a neighborhood hangout which was a much needed change from the restaurants in the more touristy areas of the city. We would love to go back some day!

Good Italian food, friendly service. The atmosphere in the main area is very good, but the side/adjacent area feels a little less inviting, partly because it's used for storing high chairs, for example.

Even though we made a reservation (we wanted a nice table because it was our birthday), they showed us a table in a dark place, we didn't want it, we sat in the side hall and we couldn't even eat our dessert because it was cold, from now on I will never choose this place for a special day, the staff is very uninterested and does nothing to please, we will have a birthday dinner again today in a better place.

Unfortunately, the service wasn't great tonight. We had to walk to the server every time we wanted something, and then we had to wait a very long time. The kids had already finished their pizza half an hour before we even got ours (they had forgotten us). It used to be our regular pizzeria, but unfortunately, this time we had a negative experience, partly because the food was really poor quality. It's also gotten quite expensive!

This pizzeria served delicious pizza. Even though it was very busy, I didn't have to wait long. The tomato sauce was the first thing I tasted when I took a bite, and it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!

Italian owner run, with typical Italian cuisine. An amazing red Italian wine. I had the Tuna pizza which had to rate as the best tuna pizza I've ever had. Certainly when back in Den Haag, I'll be back.

Donato is definitely among the better Italian restaurants in The Hague. The pizza that comes from their wood-fired oven is authentic and delicious, and when weather permits, dining in the garden makes for a very relaxing experience.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance and didn't regret it. The food was very good and the outdoor area is very cozy.

The pizza tasted good, but was very wet and limp upon delivery.

I used to order pizza from this place several times a week — the product is genuinely very, very good. Today, I came for my usual takeaway order and decided to pay in cash. The man at the counter (with two rings in his ears) gave me the wrong change. When I pointed it out, he responded by adding 10 cents extra and saying, “That’s your tip,” as if it was a joke. I cancelled the order because of how disrespectfully the situation was handled. His attitude was dismissive and rude, turning what should’ve been a simple correction into an unpleasant experience. As a customer, I believe I have the right to receive the correct change — and I decide whether or not to leave a tip. It’s disappointing how one employee’s behavior can damage the reputation of an otherwise excellent place.

De kwaliteit is helaas achteruit gegaan. We waren eerst ontzettend enthousiast over de pizza's. Helaas is dat het laatste jaar niet meer het geval. Hebben nu al een paar keer gehad dat je 1,5 uur moet wachten om 2 pizza's bezorg te krijgen. Als die dan aankomen zijn ze klef en koud. Dat is jammer.

Service was slow and not accurate. We did not like the lasagna and it has been taken off the check at the end. The pizza was good.
