DRIES en CO in Elst-Noord

We just had a delicious lunch at Dries&Co. It was pleasantly busy, had an extensive menu, and very friendly service! Highly recommended!

We had lunch with a friend. The food was good! I had the surf and turf, and the other had Italian pork belly. For drinks, we had two cappuccinos, a white latte, and a stroopwafel latte (highly recommended). The price-quality ratio was excellent. The surf and turf was a large sandwich for about 17 euros. Definitely recommended!

We recently visited Dries & Co, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We had to wait quite a while outside on the terrace, even though the staff clearly saw us. Ultimately, it took ages for someone to ask what we wanted to drink. So we decided to leave. Furthermore, the staff's friendliness could really be better—it felt a bit disinterested. It's a shame, because the location is nice, but the service leaves much to be desired.

A very nice and atmospheric tent. It's spacious, and you're free to choose your own spot.

We happened to be in the area. It's a lovely place, and it's also popular, as it was packed during weekend lunch. We had a delicious meal.

Worthless, the little dog Bruno wasn't allowed inside. But that saved us around €300. Good afternoon.

Nice place, good food. What bothers me is the smoke smell; there are lots of smokers on the patio, right in front of the open doors and windows. Sitting inside is also surrounded by smoke. A shame, but actually my only complaint.

It's a shame the staff starts cleaning up and polishing cutlery at 9 p.m. It creates an unpleasant vibe. The food is always good, but the little things make it less enjoyable. We won't be popping in for a bite anytime soon.

I thought it was a nice cafe with a cozy atmosphere, but the service was very slow. We had to wait a long time for someone to come over. I also found the chicken and fries very dry. The chicken satay was good, though. I thought the prices were a bit high for the food. I wouldn't go back.

Despite the crowds, we were helped quickly. Excellent service. Fantastic food.

Great for lunch and drinks, shame about the busy road

Recently (early August 2025) I sat down with my wife on a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon, enjoying a glass of wine and a fantastic Angus burger. It's truly delicious here. See you soon.

I had a truly delicious surf and turf (carpaccio and salmon salad on bread). It was generous and flavorful. I think the salmon salad was homemade. Highly recommended. There's a lovely shaded terrace, and the service is friendly.

I was there today because of the good reviews while on a business trip. The food (Kip Katsu) was great. Note: it comes with fries as standard, so if you'd like something else, you have to ask. The beer (Jopen IPA) went perfectly with it. Service is impeccable; they ask frequently but aren't pushy, and they make you feel welcome. The location is good; you sit outside right on the street, which is a must. I like it; you can watch life go by while enjoying your food. I'd go back!

A friend took me here. I'm not from the area, so I was pleasantly surprised. It's a really nice place to sit. The food was truly fantastic! We had lunch, and it was generous, delicious, and affordable. The price-quality ratio is good. We had a lovely outdoor seating.

Super fun and cozy cafe, everything is well-presented and nicely served. Mieke dropped one of her "bitterbals," the klutz. I reported it, and they'll just get new ones from Stere and Tess, the sweet girls. Definitely go here for a meal or a drink if you're in Elst.

Upon entering, a young man immediately told us we could sit down for a drink, but that they were about to finish their service (they close at 5 p.m. on Mondays, but it was 4:10 p.m.). We sat down, but for the first fifteen minutes, no one came to our table to take our order. The waiter walked past several times, and there were at least two people chatting behind the bar. Then they didn't. So we left. The young man did say a friendly goodbye as we left.

A table for two on the terrace. The chairs aren't particularly comfortable, but they were fine for a quick lunch. We ordered a Caesar salad and a salmon sandwich. The salad was very disappointing in terms of presentation and taste. Lots of lettuce with very little dressing, which made it tasteless. They forgot the salt and pepper, as well as the egg, anchovies, and other seasonings a salad needs. This salad was served with one regular slice of bread (not toast) with curry mayo. I wouldn't recommend it, unfortunately. The salmon sandwich wasn't very tasty either. There was plenty of salmon, but the finishing touches were lacking. I could make a sandwich like that at home, so unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it either. Kudos to the service, though. Friendly and attentive. The wait time was okay.

Dries & CO has a nice interior, neat but not too chic. The price/quality of the food is great, you get a lot of food for what you pay. It also tasted great! The employees regularly checked if we needed anything and quickly picked up the dirty dishes. Recommended!

I was warmly and kindly welcomed by the staff, the staff is very friendly here. Unfortunately, it took a long time before we could place our order. I had ordered the Peking duck and the hamburger. We waited 45 minutes for the starter. The Peking duck was really delicious. We really had to wait more than 60 minutes for the main course. The hamburger was unfortunately below expectations. The meat and vegetables on it were fine, but the bread was very dry. What was also very annoying was that the sound system sometimes stops working and then unexpectedly continues playing very loudly, so that you cannot understand each other.

Enjoyed all kinds of food on a lovely terrace. As always delicious.

Yesterday I had dinner with a group at Dries en Co. The service was friendly. It took a ridiculously long time before all the dishes were served. What irritated me was that the service came by very often to ask if we wanted something to drink. It took almost an hour before we had the first dish on the table. We arrived at 6:30 PM and at 10:00 PM we still had no dessert. Then it turned out that they had already started it, but not served it. We had menu B and that was just disappointing. No vegetables as a side dish, far too little mayonnaise and the chocolate dessert was mediocre. Too bad. The last time was better. Too expensive for the service.

First of all, it's a shame that they delete the reviews themselves if it's not up their alley, that actually says enough. At least I couldn't find our review the day after. But then again. Entourga and service excellent, but food for dinner very substandard. We have now tried it for the 3 time, but never again. - carpaccio more sauce than anything else - asparagus soup with cold “cream” ball in the middle, soup actually cold when served. - flat steak very little - asparagus with salmon rolls also not warm and not special in terms of taste When I spoke to the staff about this, the only comment was “everything has been considered”. Way too expensive for what you get, trying to radiate luxury with the food. However, this completely fails.

Location, service and surroundings excellent. Food for dinner is well below standard for what they want to radiate. Been there for the 3 times now, but really the last time. - flat steak downright extremely little - carpaccio very much sauce - asparagus with salmon not warm - asparagus soup with a ball of cold “cream” in the middle, which made the soup cold. Indicated at the service, only message was everything has been weighed. Not recommended.

With a variety of cuisine, you can drink local and Belgian beers and wines. The ribeye steak in Japanese sauce is highly recommended. Very good service, there is a problem with parking and you have to take that into account.

Insanely delicious food. I had the short ribs as main: rarely eaten something so delicious. My table companion had a lady steak, also perfectly prepared and very tasty. Great service, attractive decor. If I had to mention one negative point, it is that it is a bit noisy when the car is full, so you have to talk loudly, but everything else more than makes up for it👌🏼 Highly recommended!

Dries never disappoints! Whether you have a business lunch or a reservation with your whole family, it is always 5 stars plus. The dishes are delicious, the wines are excellent and the new section is certainly beautiful.

Op de website bij menu staan geen prijzen, dat is jammer. Het eten was goed, niets op aan te merken. Maar wel erg duur naar verhouding. Een broodje hamburger met erg weinig saus 19 euro, een steak 33 euro. Bediening was correct maar zeer zakelijk. Vroegen "smaakt het?" en wachten ons antwoord niet af. We zaten op een skaien bank waarvan een groot deel van de bovenlaag stuk/ weg was, zag er armoedig. Toch maar thuis koffie gedronken

Heel gezellig,uitstekende bediening. Lekkere huiswijn en goed eten. Enig minpuntje weinig keus voor de vegetariër. Verder een aanrader

We hadden de vis en chips erg weinig en de vis was erg droog. Kibbeling op de markt is lekkerder de patat ook niet lekker en een heel klein cupje mayonaise nee voor ons geen herhaling en erg duur

It was our first time in this establishment and we really liked it.

Enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The weather was lovely now, but they are also prepared for less nice weather. Cushions that can emit heat (adjustable) and heaters. So well organised. The food is delicious, really good fresh. They think along well, also about leftovers (e.g. do you want bread with your salad or not). Friendly service. Dining is also very good here! The food is really delicious, the service is friendly and responds nicely and spontaneously.

My mother ordered the surf and turf. She said it was very tasty and looked good! Compliments for that. And the tent looks beautiful! I ordered a gyros sandwich for €13. After receiving this and I opened it, there were 4 mini wafer pieces of gyros on it. After asking someone from the service about this, they said: "Yes, this is standard with us. That's how it should be." In my opinion, no price/quality ratio. Also strange if the waiter takes drinks and the same person comes to the table less than a minute later to take drinks? Also strange if you order a cappucino and are then asked if you want milk in it.

Cozy restaurant but the food is quite uniform. The garnish is the same for almost all dishes (it doesn't matter whether you take meat or fish). Quantity of tournedos, “hollow molars” and the grand dessert to share; without any explanation what is included is placed on the table, including a glass of chocolate mousse with 1 spoon. I'm not averse to having a girlfriend of mine, but that doesn't have to be the case for me. All in all, a reasonably tasty meal but too expensive and the necessary points of attention, no more Dries & Co for us for the time being.

Ordered a nice snack bar today and explicitly requested snacks without cheese due to allergies. This was noted and the lady who brought it also reported the plate without cheese. To my surprise and annoyance, there were cheese snacks included. Obviously not consumed, but it might be useful to handle it more carefully. The consequences can be serious and an apology no longer helps. The board itself was very nice and nicely decorated and the latte was very tasty

Gezellig restaurant/cafe, weinig keus op het menu kon kiezen uit 3 gerechten, kip saté ( staat tegenwoordig bij iedereen op het menu) , een burger ( staat ook bij ieder restaurant op het menu) ‘de aandacht gaat vooral naar steaks. Vond het behoorlijk aan de prijs. In restaurants valt me op dat de groenten op de bon lijken te zijn. Héél zuinig!!! Het was wel een goede (vlees) burger, maar zoals reeds gezegd een stevige prijs. Leuke bediening.

Ondanks duidelijk aangegeven lactose- en gluten intoleranties, kreeg ik een kop cappuccino met brownie die tegen m’n lepeltje lag (gluten!). Na een slok bleek duidelijk dat het om koemelk in m’n cappuccino ging, in plaats van de bestelde soyamelk. Met als gevolg een dag vol misselijkheid en buikklachten en wel €4.50 voor mijn vervangende cappuccino moeten betalen. Niet aan te raden dus bij allergieën!

I come here regularly and the food is always good and the service is very hospitable. Today I ordered a dish that I always enjoy eating. Strangely enough it tasted different. It looked just fine, but I felt very nauseous and left it alone. I wanted to pay (because it was my fault) but the dish was taken off the bill. Very neat and hospitable as far as I'm concerned! I will choose a different dish next time, but I would love to come back here.

Food (Japanese snacks) and service were great; However, on the terrace outside there was a constant faint sewage smell and that was a shame!

Had lunch at Dries en Co this week, great place. Large and beautiful terrace. Extensive lunch menu with lots of choice. I chose the hot meat sandwich. Sauce was👌 combination with egg was also good. Definitely a good place for lunch!

Have eaten before. Now for lunch. Delicious croquettes on cornbread. My husband had satay croquettes on cornbread. Everything beautifully served with some dressed lettuce.
