Dumplings are great but the duck crepes didn’t have any duck in it only crust :(

Lucky that we came during relatively quiet time, so only had to queue for 10 minutes. The service was efficient and the menus are available in dutch, english, and mandarin. We ordered pan-fried pork dumpling and peking duck crepes, and had to wait less than 10 minutes before our meals were ready. The dumplings have perfect thickness, a bit of crunch on the outside and not doughy. The pork filling is generous, but taste just alright. The crepe is huge, enough for two persons. Love the combination of flavours and textures from crispy cracker, soft wrapping, cabbages, and tasty duck meat. Highly recommend to eat them with their cili oil! A perfect snack to continue our trip in Amsterdam!

The food there is surprisingly good. Tried 2 dishes, both amazing, I will visit again when given the chance. There are few tables to sit there, but you can also take the food and sit in the nearby park

It's cheap but that's about it. Ordered the ham crepe and could barely find any ham at all, just crepe dough and more crispy deep friend crunchy dough inside.

Dumplings were really good. I don't recommend the crepes as they have very little meat and are full of a deep fried dough (which didn't taste good and healthy)

Amazing place! Extremely cheap and huge portion sizes, and the food tastes great with a quick waiting time. Located right next to the Westerpark too so it’s easy to take it somewhere scenic to eat

It's always busy here, probably because of one-time tourists. We won't be back. The dumplings weren't crispy or spicy, the crepe had greasy dough with barely any filling—not interesting. The noodle soup was very spicy. We weren't enthusiastic about any of the dishes. It would be better to go to Chinatown.

Small Chinese food stand on the edge of the park. Not much seating. Excellent value, freshly made dumplings. Very greasy crepes, excellent rice. Huge portions.

The food is great. However, they only have 16 dishes, several of which are often unavailable. I’ve tried ordering the bami the last four times I visited, but each time they told me it wasn’t available because it takes too much time to prepare. Why list it then?

Mediocre food at best. I got half a kilo of rice with barely any vegetables, just a lot of greasy rice. I can’t eat it, it’s plain and greasy 😢 And I ordered noodles, to start with. They did not explain properly that they are out of the noodles, guy’s English makes it very difficult to understand what he says and he clearly did not understand me. Maybe I would have had a better luck if I spoke Dutch but I assumed English was easier for them (maybe my mistake).

Maybe it’s acceptable in Amsterdam standard for Asian food. But not in my book. I had the peking duck crepe and what a mess. There were about 3.5 pieces of chewing duck meat inside, the rest was this duck skin imitates. The taste was just bland, doesn’t even taste like anything. Some aggressive birds around trying to steal your food doesn’t help, but it’s not the owner/staff’s fault.

The pancakes are made in a very traditional way in overseas countries. They taste very good. I hope the crispy skin can be crispier. I hope the chili is smeared with it instead of chili oil...

Location is nice cause you can sit in the nearby park to enjoy the food, but I wouldn’t recommend eating here regularly. The vegetarian dishes are very oily and salty and the vege crepe doesn’t have that many vegetables, just some fried and oily stuff. The pork dumplings are not too bad but in our case you could only taste the celery and not the meat itself

Tasty dumplings, but the rest didn’t quite deliver We stopped by Dumplings on Nassauplein in Amsterdam after hearing good things — and the boiled dumplings definitely lived up to the hype: tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Unfortunately, by 5:30 PM they were already out of duck, which was disappointing. We opted for a crepe with babi pangang instead, but that was a letdown — lots of crepe, very little filling, and not much flavor. The food overall didn’t quite justify the long wait, but we might come back to try the Peking duck… if we get there early enough!

I don’t understand the good opinion at all I mean how can someone like this? Its very greasy and bland and there is no vegetables in vegetarian pancakes.. only oil and a few pieces of lettuce, the same thing with soup the only thing you can taste is OIL!!! Not to mention waiting in line 40 minutes for such a crapy food

I never imagined I could eat jianbing in the Netherlands, but I couldn't help but try it because there was a version with Peking duck on it that I had never seen before. It was as delicious as the one I had in China, and it was even better because they added duck meat! I went there because I wanted to eat something simple, but the portions were generous enough to fill me up.

A place to grab a quick bite... although the line makes the wait a bit long. We ordered three crepes and bao bao, and they were good: one with duck, one with pork, and one with bacon. It's not cheap, of course, but it's what it is in Amsterdam. The surrounding area is a bit dirty. You have the option of eating there if you find a free table or going to the park next door, although I think it's better to eat at a table. Overall, it's good, but it's still just that: a place to grab a quick bite with wooden cutlery and a piece of cardboard at a slightly high price.

Have some self respect and don’t be a queue zombie! Food here is a great value for money: €7.50 will get you a crepe that will keep you satisfied for a while. The contrast between crunch and fatty dough is good. The staff is friendly and efficient with order speeds. The menu had a good variety of items, without going overboard on what’s on offer. But Amsterdam is not a provincial backwater where it’s impossible to get good food. So no matter how good the food here is, it is absolutely not worth waiting in line for in a city so full of choice. Unless you are indifferent to your time or possibly even enjoy waiting as the time spent waiting will somehow make your food/experience taste better.

Various tasty Asian dishes on the menu. Dumplings, samoas, spring rolls and crepes were great. Quickly prepared and freshly made.

Flavorful and authentic Chinese jian bing guo zi (煎饼果子）. We ordered the roast duck crepe and the texture and taste were incredible. It was packed with roast duck, chilli oil, cabbage, and crispies. The staff are enthusiastic and friendly. Note there is some scattered seating around the food booth too to enjoy the crepes and dumplings hot and fresh ☺️

I waited so long that I had to give up my seat to someone else, the line was too long and there was no movement. The service is slow as if they are short-staffed, and the atmosphere is not great. I left hungry unfortunately.

Good food but too much wait it is not enjoyable

This place is great for home cooked Chinese food, it's all amazing. Dumplings are the best in town. Be prepared to wait in line to order and for your food to be ready. It's worth it!

Algunos de los mejores alimentos chinos de la ciudad, albóndigas asequibles y deliciosos y crepes chinos. Hay un montón de lugares chinos muy caros en la ciudad que son deficientes, este restaurante no pierde tiempo y dinero en lujos y se centra en la entrega de comida auténtica. Soy vegetariana y me encantan las opciones disponibles, para las personas que comen carne hay aún más opciones. Bonita ubicación, así cerca de Westerpark con una parada de autobús cerca que te lleva a la estación central : )

couldn’t wait to take a picture - the dumplings are SO good! The dough is fresh, you can tell it was made today. The wait may be a bit long, but they give you a pager making it convenient. There’s enough seating to find a little bench to eat at.

the duck crepe and the gyozas are simply amazing!

Long line which is fine for a city but when we got to the front they were out of many items. A sign would have been all that was needed to let people know. However the dumplings we got were still very good.

When it’s good weather, I would recommend this spot! The food always hit! It’s just really busy most of the time so be prepared to wait a bit.

You have to be patient, but everything is so delicious

A rule of thumb in Amsterdam is: if there is a huge TikTok line of (usually) Gen Zers in front of a business, it is better to avoid that location because it is an overrated hype (see also Van Wonderen Stroopwafels or Fabel Friet). Unfortunately, that rule of thumb also applies here. Unfortunately, the crepe with Peking duck was nothing to write home about: the dish looked nice but the crepe was floury, the Peking duck lacked flavor and the whole thing tasted greasy and very mediocre. In the better Chinese restaurants, pancakes with Peking duck are served, which are much better. All those Gen Zers have probably never eaten really good Chinese food in their early lives, so they immediately make a hype out of it.

We had pork dumplings both steamed and pan fired 10/10. The pork crepe was AMAZING 11/10!

Long wait but definitely worth it. The Beijing duck crepe is my favorite and the dumplings are also delicious. Portions are large and prices reasonable.

Super good food for ‘a prikkie’, the Dutch expression for bargain. With some luck it’s good weather and you’ll grab a table with a view to the Westerpark. 100m further is an AH, so you can add a glass of wine (or anything else) and have a premium experience for the price of a happy meal! Cheers!🥂

So tasty food!!! Especially the pancake with Peking Duck, truly divine. The dumplings and spring rolls are also really tasty. You may have to wait a while, but it's worth it.

Filling of (chicken) spring roll was not firm, little taste. Crispy fried. Fried Dumpling was weak in taste, dough too thick. Hot chilli sauce was tasty again, the taste of chilli sauce is with an adjusted hot level. Took a very long time. It was relatively expensive. It's a social media hype.

Maybe the review rating already says it all. It’s a really decent snack, especially after a long walk through the canals or park. Peking duck crepe is a must, of course! But their curry samosa is unexpectedly really good

What a pearl in the middle of the city!! Amazing dumplings and crepes!

The guy who’s taking orders (guessing owner) is very rude and unprofessional. He ignored us when it was our turn to order, delayed our food, tried to scam us by charging us for spicy sauce even though right before another costumer just got it for free and saw him trying to give us one (we were two people) already used fork because he didn’t have many. Even though it was dirty we had to an argue with him if it’s used or not. The food was nice though, I just can’t enjoy it when people are rude while I’m actually paying for it.

After decades of eating dumplings all over the world I have finally discovered the very best homemade dumplings at this small stand at Westerpark, Amsterdam. It's only 3 stops away from central station (bus 22). There are a few tables available but you can eat the goodies at the beautiful park, weather permitting. Highly recommended and I honestly don't mind traveling all the way from Rotterdam to eat here. Today I had Beijing crepe filled with duck. Sensational!!! An extra star for the very friendly owner and family.

Was here twice. First experience was quite miserable – had to wait something like 30 mins at least for a small portion of pork dumplings. And it looked like they forgot about my order. Dumplings were fine, but nothing to write home about. Next time I was passing by to Westerpark and was surprised that there was no queue. So I ordered duck crepe. Waited like 5 minutes to get it done. It was great, tasty and an impressive size of it made me feel a bit nauseous after finishing, because I had a snack not long before. In my opinion: not worth the wait, but if you see that line is short, get yourself a crepe

Could not rate this place more highly. Such a good little spot and so perfect to take into the park nearby for a nice lunch. Absolutely delicious Peking duck wraps and the veg dumplings were particularly good. Quite affordable for decent portion. It does get quite busy though so maybe go earlier or a little later for lunch, either way it’s worth the wait!

Food quality is worth the wait. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. You had to wait 1 hour for the crêpes so we will definitely do that another time. The dumplings were delicious. Staff very friendly despite the crowds. Enjoyed it very much for a fair price!

Great expectations but unfortunately a huge disappointment. Nothing but social media hype. There really wasn't any taste to it. Even spicy was watery. A pancake with almost nothing on it. Dumplings where the filling looked like cardboard. Maybe they forgot about the salt, spices and all the flavor that day. Friendly people, but I don't understand why this is such a hype, I feel cheated.

coming from a chinese person, this is easily my favourite chinese restaurant in amsterdam! the jian bing are amazing, full of flavour and fillings and the portion is great. i wouldnt recommend the rice or noodles so much, they’re not really anything special.

The Dumplings are rather mediocre. The Crepes taste better but they are also pretty pricey for the quality of food that you get. We had to wait around 1hr (waiting in line+ waiting for the food) the queue system is decent but wouldnt recommend the long wait for the food on busy days.

The food was nice, even though the wait (both to order and to receive) was excessive. I can understand it was Saturday and it was busy. The prices are really good for the quality and quantity. Nice views, however, the tables were not clean. We ordered the dumplings (really nice) and the duck crepe (not as nice as expected, there was very little duck inside and more of a fried thing that I don’t even know what it was because it was literally a fried dough. I had this dish before in other places and the duck quantity was greater, and it didn’t have this fried thing).

Absolutamente delicioso. Después de ver este lugar sugerido un par de veces en tiktok decidí que definitivamente quería probarlo. Tenemos la crepe de pato de Pekín y la gyoza de cerdo frito - tan sabroso 10 / 10. La piel de pato crujiente dentro del crepé era increíble, yo era escéptico al principio, pero era tan bueno. Volvería al 100% si estuviera de vuelta en Amsterdam. Los asientos son escasos, pero todo el mundo parecía hacerlo funcionar y en un buen día hay una zona de césped justo al lado. Tarjeta y efectivo aceptado 😁

There will likely be a line, but it’s worth the wait! Ordered the duck crepe, dumplings and pork buns. All delicious. Just really good Chinese food. Food truck is located next to Westerpark with outdoor tables overlooking the water and park. Great place to relax and enjoy your food 😋

Very long wait even if the queue seems short it takes a while to get to the front AND then when you pay you wait even more to get called. We aren't picky but they had barely anything and they weren't even close to closing. We ended up getting spring rolls which were nice but really nothing special just regular rolls. What's more frustrating is that they didn't bother saying ANYTHING about what sold out to ANYONE so we lined up not knowing. And lastly we waited 15 more minutes for 2 spring rolls then had to go and ask about them and they were there he just forgot :/. Only if we knew we wouldn't have wasted an hour on this.

so tasty!! the duck crepe is unlike anything I have ever had. the pan fried veg dumplings were amazing with the chilli oil. the line moves fast, worth the wait!

Located on the edge of a park, dumplings is a rather unassuming small set-up, with chairs and small tables nearby, from which you can overlook a canal and the nearby park. Service was great, with both Dutch and English menus. The food was cheap and ready quick, and for European standards, was very good. It was spicy, well-seasoned, and filling. While in my opinion, it doesn’t quite compare to the asian street food of the US, it is among the best I’ve had in Europe.

Dumplings and pancake with duck meat were absolutely delicious. We visited this place maybe 4 times during the week and each time the service was kind and helpful and the food was always prepared in a high quality and tasty way.

Of all the "viral" food this is the spot. Even Dutch locals were in the queue here. It's that good, the duck pancake was the best thing I put in my mouth all weekend and I tried all the other spots Davie's Cafe, Chun, etc I had the dumplings and the duck pancake and it was incredible

Delicious food, very kind staff! In the winter it’s a bit too cold to sit outside, so you can take away the food as well. I’m guessing this place will be even more popular in summer!

Been coming here for years, and of course always for the #1 on the menu; the Peking duck crepe. Delicious!

Worth the wait in line. Very tasty food at a friendly price! Be sure to try the Beijing duck crepe, but the dumplings and baobao are also great. You really can't choose wrong here.

Just because it seems like a convenient place to eat, does NOT mean you should order here if you’re in a hurry. Really long waiting time (up to 30 minutes of waiting outside!) - bhut the meals are delicious

Dumplings were really tasty but wait time was insanely long, place is really popular obviously, either should move to a permanent location that that have faster turnaround time with the food or find a way to make it faster bc I waited for wayyyy too long, but once I was in line I didn’t want to quit and not get to try them, so not exactly they’re fault I decided to wait for the dumplings. For the price though they could give a couple more dumplings it’s more of a snack portion.

I really love the Peking duck pancake in this place, although there is not enough meat, it’s worth it. Love this Chinese street food stall ❤️ XieXie

The Peking duck crepes to die for

Hands down, best crepe ever! The waiting time is long but if you never tried it's worth it so start queuing :-) the only problem is that we need one more of this, people want more. Please please please open another one next to yours so more people will enjoy this delicious food, without queuing for 45 min.

The prices are really high. The dumplings are really good, the duck crepe is good, but not worth the price. It lacked flavours and dipping sauce.
