As a truck driver, I absolutely don't regret stopping here. Nice, large parking lot, clean shower, pleasant service, and I didn't have to wait to be served. An address I'll definitely remember, and in the best possible way.

TOP! I recommend it with both hands! I, as a truck driver, stopped to spend the night. The guy who accommodates was smiling and communication with him was extremely easy. You pay at the establishment, the parking is 20 euros, but you can also eat something for the same amount there. I ordered a Black Angus and a large craft beer, the things were a pleasure for the palate! I will visit you again, as long as I have a way there.

Mediocre! The terrace is nice, we had a lovely time sitting there. Schnitzel okay, but nothing special. Fries nicely seasoned but soggy. And fry sauce instead of mayo (it is a restaurant, after all, not a cafeteria!). The salad was meager (a bit of tomato and cucumber), but without (???) dressing. When I asked if the salad is always served without dressing here, the answer was 'apparently' and 'gosh, you're the first person to mention this'. In short: if you are really hungry it is okay, but better drive on for a decent meal that has a bit of love put into it.

They changed the payment machine; it stopped accepting cards. I couldn't pay with the card, but they were demanding payment. I had to withdraw cash from the ATM; how much did the service cost? I couldn't come up to the counter for half an hour. After their food, I had stomach problems.

A great place to spend some time. Had a schnitzel with fries. Just, why not serve fries sauce with it? It was nicely seasoned though. The cola was a bit expensive. 4.40 for 20 cl. That was even more expensive than the Radler, so I just took that one. It has a bigger volume too.

It smelled terribly of burners. We cycled there twice from Vught and left both times without eating. That smell is unbearable.

A quiet, peaceful parking lot, €20 a day. You can eat out for that. The portions are huge. Communicating with the waitresses is easy, even with a basic knowledge of English. There's a menu in Russian. Not all the workers are friendly, but overall, they're very friendly. The showers are hot, and the restrooms are clean. On the weekends, the parking lot was free, but by 8 PM during the week, there were no spaces left; all the locals had taken them.

Very expensive menu with very cheap content and poorly prepared. The cleanliness of the toilets is poor. As for the waiters, you have to chase them with a stick to get them to come and take your order, but as soon as they serve, they come and take it away. I recommend it if you want to test your patience...

Parking is €20 + €3 for a shower/toilet. They give you a piece of paper you place under your window with a four-digit code on the back. This code allows you to come in and shower until 11:00 PM on the same day you paid. After midnight, my code didn't work. After paying for parking, they give you a receipt and a page from a notebook with an inventory number. One page is for the chef, the other is for the restaurant, €20. It's completely unclear whether this is a paid parking and how they enforce it. You can arrive after closing, park, and then leave in the morning without paying anything. As for the restaurant, I arrived in the evening, paid for parking, and went to bed. The next day, I came back and my food ticket was no longer valid, as was my right to shower. I paid and everything was wasted. It's very unpleasant. I paid for another day, having learned from the previous day, and immediately went and ordered a dish (steak) for €24 and a 0.5L beer. They charged me €31 at the checkout. A beer for €7 was fine, so I didn't argue. The attitude was rude and silent. You don't know English, let alone Dutch. No one even really wants to talk to you. You tell them to wait through a translator, and they run away. Russian is not welcome here. Overall, the parking is good, it's quiet at night, and the restaurant is cozy. But the attitude is bad. This is my experience; maybe someone else's is different. Would I come back here again? I don't know; I'd prefer a different parking lot.

As a truck driver, this is my favorite place. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is really top-notch. There is also the option to stay overnight with your truck; you receive a code for the showers and toilets so you can use them throughout the night. The showers and toilets are neat and clean, so I highly recommend it.

Everything was delicious! From the soup to the crumble!!! The steak on the burger was a bit overcooked for my taste, but maybe you will eat it that way. And your waitress making the effort to speak French… that was really TOP!! So THANK YOU The Frenchman who came on Thursday, May 14th.

Waited 50 minutes for a toast, got ignored the whole time, and when we finally cancelled, were told it was “stupid” not to keep waiting. Impressive — not the food, but the attitude.

The first thing we were told was that we had to wait a long time because service wasn't actually being provided on the sunny part of the terrace where we (and other people) were sitting. Not that you could have known that, because it wasn't indicated anywhere. However, what was more annoying was that the menu listed a chicken club sandwich with bacon and egg, among other things. Well, unfortunately, those were nowhere to be found. Just chicken and raw vegetables. For us, that old chain is a one-time thing, but never again.

You can enjoy a delicious drink and a snack here, all perfectly presented. You can also enjoy a lovely dinner here. The only drawback is that this restaurant is located on the busy roads to and from Boxtel. Especially if you're sitting on the terrace, you're often interrupted by passing traffic, including many trucks.

The staff working here is very nice and polite. You can also take a bicycle from here to explore the city. There is a plus market nearby. Went here last night after a long time. It's a real driver's cafe, and the parking lot is packed. First, I showered and had nice hot water. Then I had a good meal and went to bed. In the morning, I used a code (€3) to enter the washroom. What struck me was the lack of light in the toilet, and the lighting in the shower wasn't good either. I'm also hoping for a paint job soon. Had a nice evening, though.

A great place to relax! Very friendly and helpful hosts who are happy to help! Excellent parking, restaurant, and bathrooms. Parking is €20, showers are €3, and they give you a stamped receipt. Showers and toilets are available at night; street access is possible with a code, which the restaurant will kindly provide! You can use the €20 food voucher until 12:00 PM the next day (I arrived at 10:00 PM, and the kitchen was already closed). 👍💪

The parking lot is excellent, one of the best for drivers. 20 euros per day = the same amount to use at the restaurant, showers are 3 euros, entrance is from the street, and when you pay, they write the shower code on the back of your parking card. The food is delicious, portions are large, and the service is friendly and patient with drivers who don't speak the language.

The girls are very polite and smiling. Everything is delicious and fast. It's too bad it's closed on Saturdays and there's nowhere to even go to the bathroom. I've seen this problem for years, and the owner doesn't care.

A true diner. Nothing more, nothing less. The menu is extensive and the price-quality ratio is excellent. A generous plate of that "uitsmijter" (fried sandwich) from the old chain. Fresh and well-prepared. The service is polite and prompt. A brief conversation revealed that the mother and daughter are in charge and enjoy their work, and it shows. Everything is clean and tidy. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll make sure to have lunch there again. There's ample parking.

We had a wonderful meal here, and I'll definitely be back. De Oude Ketting is one of the oldest truck stops in the Netherlands. Parking isn't a problem, even for trucks. If parking is busy, you'll be guided to a suitable spot. It's a great place to spend a night; the terrace is very inviting. Next time, I'll take and post photos so everyone can see what it looks like. (Also, the food.)

My goodness. Not a single table clean, woman behind a column shouting “hello” and the first to say the dog has to go outside. Strange, because our dog was probably the cleanest ‘thing’ inside. I don’t know what the standard is in this part of the Netherlands, but we set the bar a bit higher…. We will definitely never come here again.
