Fast and friendly service. The salmon of the day was delicious. The veggie burger could have had a bit more flavor.

Extremely poor service. The staff had their backs to us, so if we wanted to order, we had to go to the bar. We even ended up eating at the bar ourselves. The food was mediocre.

Had a small lunch with the kids, the food was great, the kids had a great time playing

Had a wonderful meal with colleagues. Pork tenderloin ribs, schnitzel, and satay were all enjoyed by the neighbors, and the portion sizes were more than ample.

Given all the positive reviews, we chose this place, but we weren't exactly lucky. The food (stew) was terribly salty, the appetizer (squid rings) was more breadcrumbs than squid. The onion soup was good. We had bottles of red wine and simply requested a carafe of tap water. They refused, but they did serve very expensive bottles of still water. The schnitzels were mediocre. But one of us had Spaetzle Ribs, which were really good. Bottles of sparkling water: tiny, 0.20cl. Loud music, which was turned down at our request. The service was generally friendly.

Spareribs are highly recommended!

I had a delicious meal with my friends, with a nice Oktoberfest atmosphere and fair prices...

We spent an afternoon and evening here on the terrace during the Oktoberfest opening. And we had no complaints. The service was friendly and attentive. We were approached regularly to order food and drinks. The food was good. We enjoyed spending several hours here and will definitely come back.

September 25, 2025, I celebrated my retirement/farewell party at De BUREN. It was AMAZING 🥳 Outside on the terrace... Welcome drink 🥂 for the guests. Super 👍 Delicious food and drinks 🍕🍺🍷☕🍢 Everyone enjoyed it, the service was very hospitable and helpful. TOP 🥰 It became an unforgettable, beautiful evening for me and all the other partygoers. Very fast service, the food was excellent and certainly plentiful. We came with a group of 26 people, as we'd been there several times as a couple and knew you'd be in good company at De Buren. Better a good neighbor than a distant friend.

Great terrace, always packed, which is a good sign. We regularly come here for a bite to eat and a drink!

September 18 We sat down on the patio when the waiter came over, face down in their shoes, and started spraying the table with window cleaner or something similar. She sprayed us all over too. When I mentioned spraying the cloth, she said, "Nobody normally sits here." No apology, nothing at all. What are you doing then? Another young person who doesn't care. Just stay home!

A cozy terrace with friendly staff and comfortable seating. Excellent bistro menu with a varied selection. It's still a challenge to eat such a huge hamburger neatly; I usually prefer the flatter, more bite-sized burgers.

The carpaccio starter is good, the mushrooms and squid rings are less so; small and on the greasy side. Expectations are high when you read the menu. The spare ribs are very good. It's a shame they don't offer a small salad with any dish. The pizza crust is good, but too much cheese for my taste. The vegetarian burger is poor; the bun wasn't toasted, the cheese wasn't melted, and the zucchini wasn't cooked through. You don't get mayonnaise, but fries sauce. The fries come with it. It's cozy, the staff is very friendly, but too expensive for the quality of the food. Drink prices have skyrocketed; that's the case throughout Sittard. It's a shame. For dessert (a slice of cake from Peter Lemmens), they charge €7.50. So we went for a delicious ice cream at Elao Rebel.

A very friendly welcome. Every effort was made to accommodate a group of 10 people, including 4 small children. (Despite a very busy morning due to the procession ==> hats off!!!)

I learned about this restaurant through my daughter. It's fantastic. They have a wide selection on the menu. Everything I've eaten so far has been delicious and beautifully presented. Highly recommended. Also good to know: they serve delicious cocktails. It's a great place to relax, both indoors and outdoors. The staff is also very friendly. Parking nearby isn't available, however. You'll have to go a bit further for that, but it's worth it.

Pleasant atmosphere, quick contact with other people. Only the lettuce in the salad wasn't fresh.

I really enjoy eating there after shopping. Not only does the atmosphere look nice and comfortable, but the staff is also extremely friendly. The food is delicious, and you don't have to wait too long.

Despite the crowds at the restaurant due to an event at the market, we received a warm welcome and excellent service. The staff worked quickly and efficiently. The dishes were exactly as expected.

Another delicious meal. It's just a shame that paprika is often used in many dishes. In my opinion, it significantly impacts the flavor. It would be even better without it, but that's just a matter of taste.

We've known the neighbors for years. I have to say, the past two years have really improved! The food is much, much better than it used to be. A bit impersonal, we were a group of 7 and the drinks were always put at the head of the table and you had to pass everything around yourself. We also had to ask for drinks ourselves and empty glasses were not collected. Starters were fine but the main courses less so, especially the sour meat was really too sour in taste. The amount of pasta and spare ribs was really too much, which also makes it difficult to leave food and you end up eating too much.

Due to very lovely sunny weather we went for a drink at local market in center of Sittard. We had the special brewed lime lemonade of the house. It was delicious!

We had an expats get together, about 15 people, prior to that a friend and I ate there. We had the Sate, it was very good. We were served and helped by a lovely team, "Nova" was particularly helpful and proactive. We shall definitely visit again soon.

Today, Thursday, February 20, we had a delicious lunch at De Buren at the market in Sittard. Our tasty egg dishes with extensive salad were served very separately and attractively in large saucepans. We relaxed and enjoyed their coffee offer. We will do this more often.

We were strolling around Limburg on a sunny August day, and decided to stop for lunch in Sittard. Our orders were Pizza Quattro Stagioni and Italiaans Trio. The pizza was decent, can’t complain. The trio was an interesting mix as well, though it had a bit of a soup-like texture, and there wasn’t quite enough bread for dipping 😄

Actually a great place for lunch after a nice walk. But it is incredibly inhospitable that you are not allowed to have a glass of tap water with your cup of coffee. This made me feel unwelcome. Not an advantage for a restaurant.

Delicious appetizer during amuse tour! And when my friend indicated that she was allergic to tomatoes in the appetizer, a tasty alternative was immediately made for her. We were asked several times if everything was satisfactory. But other visits are also always very satisfactory. You feel like a guest! Very well organised, see you next time Gino

I went there quite a few times during business trips. The restaurant offers a nice atmosphere, you can also sit outside when it‘s getting colder since they have infrared heaters. The waiters are nice and friendly. All the food I tried was tasty and the portions were large. My personal recommendation is the pizza since I really liked the dough. It’s also cheaper than most other dishes and really fills you up. For some reason I heard that there is no pizza on Wednesdays. The prices are on a normal level compared to other restaurants in the Netherlands I visited. Something I don‘t like is that they don‘t offer the regional beer „Brand“. Other than that, everything was fine.

Very bad service. We had to wait more than 1 to 1.5 hours for our food, and to our surprise, only one of the seven dishes ordered was delivered. A little later, only the fries from another dish were brought, but the accompanying main course did not follow until fifteen minutes later. By this time the fries were already cold. We asked three times where our food was. In addition, we were only asked once what we wanted to drink. It was very clear that the staff were unable to service both the terrace and the restaurant inside. Food was fine.

Nice cafe in a nice spot on the market. Service friendly and attentive. I had a late lunch there: meal salad with fish and shellfish. Delicious! The calamari and scampi in particular are great and the house wine (Chardonnay) is also very tasty. The only downside is the toilet. It is located at the very back, which is fine, but as a woman you first have to go to the men's toilet, which apparently has no door. A row of urinals isn't exactly an appetizing or inspiring sight, and the smell is bad too. Please Install a door there, preferably one with closers so that it closes automatically. And regularly pouring several liters of thick bleach into those urinals is also recommended.

Situated around the grand market place you have a lovely view around this big place in the centre of Sittard. An advantage is the location in the southeast corner. Therefore you will still sit in the sun in the evening, whilst other locations are already in the shadow. For eating you have to try Saté, a very delicious dish with rabbit filet in an excellent souce. But all the other food is very delicious as well.

I had pannetje de Buren which was very tasty, good quantity and warm. The meat was also tender. All in all, the food was very tasty and the staff was fast and polite.😄
