TERRIBLE! Bad fries, way too expensive and tasteless croquettes, and unfriendly staff. It all started with ordering through a stupid kiosk. You even have to pay extra for the onions in the special sauce. Two of us ordered fries and various snacks. One medium and one small. The medium fries were even smaller than the other small fries! Absurd. The containers were identical in size, the only difference being the special sauce and significantly fewer fries for a medium, but they charged much more through the kiosk. We then sat in the seating area for a while. A staff member vacuumed around us while we were eating, and the owner came over with some kind of floor scrubber. Ugh... you don't do that when there are customers eating in your restaurant. Also, the croquettes were bland. The portions were very small and way too expensive. And the staff is impersonal and far from customer-friendly. Once, but NEVER again! Better to drive on and order snacks elsewhere. Bland and tasteless. Also overpriced.

Staff not very friendly, food not cooked and almost cold.

I expected a bit more; the table was sticky, and waiting over half an hour for two sandwiches in a quiet snack bar was disappointing. The food was good, but the order column showed a pistolet with warm meat, which turned out to be a soggy, soft roll with a fried, unsavory fricandeau. I see room for improvement!

It was a cozy atmosphere, but the food, oh, the chicken burger came with tons of sauce, and the cheeseburger was the same as a burger social and more expensive. The staff was nice, though.

This shop looks reasonable, but appearances can be deceiving! One word: "Terrible." Definitely not worth the money.

Nice cafeteria, nice to sit. We sat in the dining area and ordered from the snack bar. My wife had fries. Speck and croquettes with fries. I think fries with farmer's stew. What a disgrace, fries with stew. 😬 €13.50 for a small container of fries, 4 pieces of meat, 6 mushrooms, and when I finished my meal, they brought out the fried onions/bacon, sorry. So, a real treat!!!

Mostly expensive, the food was fine. A meatball sandwich, fries, and ice cream cost over 15 euros.

We ate here yesterday. We ordered fries and snacks and a ham and cheese toastie. When the fries and snacks were ready, the toastie still wasn't 🤨. Finally, someone brought the toastie, and I've never seen anything like it! It was two slices of bread that had been in the sandwich maker for so long that the cheese had melted out; they were rock hard. There was no sauce or salad. The plate was just a rock-hard toastie with no cheese. You simply can't serve something like that to a customer. I won't be eating here again.

Terrible store... the fries were cold... the hamburger bun wasn't cooked. When I asked for a new bun, it took an excruciatingly long time to be ready, so everyone at the table had already finished eating. Personally, I also found it quite peculiar that the new hamburger was served on the old bun, which had already had a bite taken out of it!

Don't go there again. Raspatat is really not good. Hard texture and old oil used. Berenhap was fried way too long. I'm definitely not coming here again.

Ate here today but what I paid for it is not even worth it, also for drinks bottles were delivered without a glass, fries were boring and tasteless and the price is not normal expensive for what you get, definitely not worth going back, too bad the cafe would have been closed otherwise

Great, tasty snacks. You can sit there comfortably. Friendly staff. Hot chicken is not hot chicken. New staff sometimes makes mistakes with orders, but it is always corrected and made right. We really like to come here once a month. 27/6 what happened to the frikadellen Jan? Another brand?

What a terribly bad snack bar The bag was covered in fat from the fries and the fries were loose at the bottom of the bag, just bad. The staff is as slow as fat.....in a funnel. The fries are really terrible, the snacks are still in short supply. For the price, the quality is very poor

Vroeger kwam ik vaak bij Jan Patat. We stonden op de kamping in Lochem en keken altijd uit om daar onze friet te halen. Het was er altijd bere druk in zomer maar de service was super snel en de kwaliteit erg goed. Ze waren toen wel een Kwalitaria. Wat we er deze week aantroffen was alles behalve. Een menu met veel te veel keuze waardoor producten minder vers oogden, voor horeca slecht getraind personeel en een prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding die beschamend is. Soms is het niet mogelijk om naar vroeger terug te gaan maar het concept van kwalitaria bestaat nog steeds en wellicht kan Jan Patat er met een beetje moeite weer een worden. Aan andere referenties te zien zou dat Lochem best ten goede komen.

Jammer dat het glutenvrije assortiment erg beperkt is. De friet was oké, deze was erg hard. Ik vond onze bestelling heel duur voor wat we kregen.

We were there on a Friday evening at 6:15 PM and it was quite busy. So a good address. The fries, frikadel and croquette sandwich were very tasty. If you are in the area and feel hungry, you can definitely go there.

Had a delicious hamburger. Quite pricey. For that price I could have had fries or a can of drink.

Great service, called during rush hour, could come right away to pick up fries. Unlike elsewhere where I got a time slot. Ordered for 15 people and it was more than enough, taste was perfect. Well worth the price. While waiting I saw several people being pointed to an ordering column, I don't think that has the desired effect in this setting, but it's a nice idea.

Menu not clear. Absurdly high prices for a menu with fries. The fries were way too little. Will never come back here again.

This is a super cold place, really terrible people's treatment. The plan was to get fries and snacks for 6 people. What a letdown! Orders can only be placed via an order kiosk. Drama...the menu was illogically structured, making ordering a kind of Russian roulette. Prices were absurdly high (family bag of fries for 6 people €30 -!!). Staff stood there and looked at it... Eventually turned around and left the place... Never, ever again Bag Fries for us!

There are a few very spacious parking spaces in front of the door. Not convenient with a slightly larger vehicle. Food is not tasty, neither fries nor snacks; that is also an art; consistently just not good and this happened both times we were there.

The aperitif here in the Netherlands includes bitterballen. And, as a Dutch person, I think I know what they have to be like. Oh look... Jan Patat, we'll get a double portion there. Ordered immediately, without any problems. But then wait, wait a long time, although it wasn't a rush hour. The owner asks if anyone wants water? A little boy who has been waiting for a long time shouts: YES! But he gets nothing. When we finally consume the bitterballen during the aperitif, it is a disappointment: much too soft, falling apart and the taste is just that. So Jan Patat? Dear Jan, back to the Patate school!

Best chicken in the area. The meat was juicy, tender, tasty and wonderfully crispy on the outside. I highly recommend the chicken bucket. Thank you Jan Patat! Ps. Maybe you should change your name to Jan Kip.

If I order a veggie burger... I get cold! I go back to the checkout. I hear Oh, that's not possible. We will bring the hamburger straight to your table. Meanwhile, everyone at the table had already finished eating and I still don't have a hamburger. I just go to the checkout and get a hamburger. Ooh, it's here... okay, special! It could have been brought back to the table as mentioned! Meanwhile, my table had finished eating. And I still had to eat! This burger is also made where meat used to be. Because I'm sick. (I can't stand meat) Like the stories: This used to be a really top place with food that no longer deserves a star.

Ordered a cheeseburger and it cost €7.50. Well, a hamburger from Febo is much tastier and the same size. A soft bun with a disgusting hamburger and dirty cheap cheese and lettuce. Really scandalous!

Onze bestelling gedaan aan een bestelzuil. Er waren twee mensen voor ons. Degenen voor ons vertelden dat ze al een half uur wachtten. Wij moesten maar liefst 35 minuten wachten op een bestelling van twee patat, een snack en een halve kip. Er waren vier mensen aan het bakken, waaronder drie jongeren. Ze liepen vooral chaotisch langs elkaar en vroegen aan elkaar waar de halve kip te vinden was, wat een lihanboutje was. Duidelijk niet goed ingewerkt. Bij de bestellingen die in het restaurant ernaast werden gedaan kwam om de paar minuten iemand klagen dat iets niet bij de bestelling zat. Na een kwartier vroeg ik mijn geld terug, het antwoord was: ‘We zijn met uw bestelling bezig”. Maar de halve kip was nog niet terecht. Een oudere mannelijke medewerker kwam en hoorde mijn klacht aan. Hij reageerde duidelijk geïrriteerd naar de medewerkers. Het moest sneller en meer gecoördineerd. Hij leek de enige met verstand van zaken, maar nam ondertussen de telefoon aan, bracht bestellingen weg enz. Het was 19.35 toen we vertrokken en echt niet razend druk. Wij komen hier in ieder geval nooit meer terug. Een aanfluiting.

More than five euros for some fries and three pieces of stew. The rest was mushroom sauce ; scandalous! And now a special fries with two teaspoons of sauce pfff. What wrong economy!

Staff would have prepared a different order if I had ordered! I already thought it was on the pricey side. Think language problem...it was nice!

Enjoyed fries, snack and ice cream. Snack was missing from the order. Flavors are good, but price/quality ratio is not okay, you pay too much for what you get. Portions are smaller than normal. Ordering an ice cream via an ordering column, then waiting 3 minutes for someone to start serving it, while that person is doing nothing behind the counter. Staff is not cordial. An hour before closing time they are already mopping and you are allowed to look outside. Parking spaces minimal and the place is not clean. This was the only and last time for us.

During the motorcycle tour we had delicious food and drinks there, and the service was excellent.

Price/quality ratio is a bit skewed. Food is fine, but expensive. Portion size is fine. The only thing is that a small variety of fries is less than a small regular fries. And the price is almost twice as expensive for a small variety of fries compared to the regular ones.

Much too expensive for what you get to eat. Little taste with the schorma, no sauce only for a fee. The chicken was also not tasty, or they don't work with herbs there. Not a winner

Folks, I would like to save you from a big disappointment, skip this thing!!! By far the worst chip shop experience by far in more than 40 years!!! - Poor service staff during the mediocre and chaotic ordering process. - Duration!!!. - Forgot a snack. - Very poor, a tiny piece of meat could just be found (not even close to a stew of fries...). - Frozen cold vegetable mash. - Watery satay pee. - Children had a children's box with fries and snacks, even a 4 year old didn't have enough... - Complaints are not taken seriously. Unfortunately no photo of the "products" was taken to reinforce this review. Hopefully other future victims will take the trouble to warn others about the misconduct of Jan Patat Lochem...

When you enter it is like most chip shops. But if you stay for dinner, the dining area is attractive and cozy. You can eat there alone or with company. Perhaps the time you come is also important. When I arrived it was quiet, but gradually it became very busy in the baking/takeaway area and the dining area also became fuller. Nevertheless, you can still enjoy your meal in peace. I will DEFINITELY come back when I'm in the area again ❣️

Cans are charged 0.25 cents .... handing in is 0.15 cents at the AH ..... mayonnaise is fries sauce You have to order at the counter and you will receive a beeper and then pick it up yourself when it goes off..... Heerlijk gegeten!! Zelf kom ik niet uit Lochem, nu voor de tweede keer hier geweest en wederom erg goed. Het personeel is beleefd en vriendelijk en werkt keihard. Als ik de recensies van velen lees kan ik mij hier totaal niet in vinden. Daarnaast vind ik het ook belachelijk hoe sommige mensen reageren. Ongelofelijk kinderachtig zelfs. Wat een verharding van de maatschappij. Of ze zijn allemaal met het verkeerde been uit bed gestapt. Samengevat: Een goede snackbar met heerlijke patat, salade en cheeseburger! U kunt hier gerust gaan eten. 😄👍🏻

Attentie!! ...voordat u bij Jan Patat Lochem een menuutje schnitzel bestelt::: NIET DOEN!, tenzij u van half gaar gefrituurde lap vlees houdt! Advies aan de baas: proef zelf eens! En dat voor 16 euro...niet te geloven. Snel doorrijden dus , geen omweg waard!! Jammer.

Prima patat. Schnitzel niet te eten: veel te taai en moet veel knapperiger zijn. Vlotte bediening. Lawaaiige toegangsdeur! (klemt). Lekker: salade en bolletje salade. Prijs/ kwaliteit is maar zeer matig. Al met al: kan beter...

Voor 1 medium softijsje op hoorntje met nootjes en choco €6,80 vragen vind ik Schandalig!!! De baas zegt dan ‘tja ik deed boodschappen vorige week was ik 150 kwijt’. Ze zijn ieder geval een klant kwijt!! En dan kreeg ik het ijsje ook nog schuin bijna erafvalle d, noem je dit medium? En zonder chocodip aangereikt. ‘Dan wil ik er wel mujn dip op voor dat geld’ zei ik. De serveerster reikte mij het druipende chocosoftijsje ( met lepel er beetje overheen gekiept ) aan. Slecht!!!!

Pffff 2 gehaktballen met pindasaus 10.80 € Aardig veel geld voor die ballen En als ze nog eens lekker waren maar vond ze zwaar onder t gemiddelde van wat ik zo tegenkom

Eten was goed, maar de prijzen...... 3 euro voor het kleinste ijsje is belachelijk. Zelfs in deze tijd. Waarom geen prijzen vermelden op de menukaart?

Eten goed niks op aan te merken personeel wat er toen liep was erg stug niet spontaan mis leg het aan de streek maar ons viel t op leuk tentje om simpel hapje te eten beetje een truckers restaurant achtig sfeertje

In plaats van raspatat gewone patat gekregen, de pindasaus zat er niet bij en de Griekse salade had geen feta maar brie. Waarschijnlijk was de feta op ? De prijs vond ik ook best hoog. Dus controleer je bestelling!!

Kapsalon menu besteld. Bord met patat ,sla en n mond vol shoarma. Bij het aankomen bij de balie was de teleurstelling er al. Baal dat ik hier wat gegeten heb

Wat een verschrikkelijke ervaring was deze tent sjonge een gewoon broodje zalm net uit de diepvries na twee happen deden mn tanden zeer van de kou. Toen we dat kenbaar maakte was het de schuld van de leverancier met een glimlach op z’n gezicht. Ongelofelijk slecht!!!!!!!!!

Ik heb mooie herinneringen aan de tijd dat er nog gefrituurd werd vanuit een houtenkeetje, lang geleden, patatje met kroketje was toen een feestmaal! 1 augustus 2020 een patatje met een Berenhap pindasaus besteld. Met de Berenhapschijfjes kon je sjoelen. Gereclameerd, nieuwe Berenhap. Ik kijken of er een sjoelbak in de zak was. Weg mooie herinnering vervlogen dagen. Nie wieder.
