El Cabron in Centrum

We were met with a closed door, even though we had a valid online reservation. There was no communication whatsoever: no cancellation, no phone call, no email, absolutely nothing. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to customers who came specifically with a reservation. A very disappointing experience.

Besides the fact that the food was extremely mediocre and we waited over an hour for it, even though there was only one other guest besides our group, I became extremely ill (vomiting 11 times in a 5-hour period!!). Four other people in the group also got sick (nausea and/or vomiting). Be careful if you eat here.

This has simply become a terrible business. We've ordered here often because the food used to be good, but every order goes wrong: missing parts, cold and soggy, or the wait is extremely long. They're also impossible to reach. I ordered at 7:00 PM tonight. It's now 8:38 PM. Still no food, no message, no way to contact them. This isn't bad luck or busyness; this is a structural failure. It's scandalous that this can continue. For the last time.

I had a very bad experience. I saw this place a lot on TikTok and got excited to try it with my friends. Unfortunately, as you can see in the photo, the chicken was not even cooked, and the tacos tasted awful. I do not recommend this place and will never come back.

The food just wasn't that good, especially not for the price. I found the taco filling very dry and not very flavorful. It also took quite a while to prepare. The staff was very friendly, though.

We waited an hour for our food; the nachos were cold, and the cheese on every dish had already hardened. The taco birria and enchiladas were good, but not worth waiting an hour for. They were out of rice, even though we ate there at 4:00 PM, and they forgot to serve us three times. Finally, while paying, they asked us how we liked it and gave us honest feedback. We were told we'd arrived unexpectedly and weren't prepared... It's a restaurant; we don't visit unexpectedly.

The food came an hour late, even though we were the only ones at the restaurant. They forgot some of the items that were ordered. The nachos were cold. The chicken nachos were not very delicious. The waitress was kind.

I have eaten in the shop several times and ordered home again today, they never disappoint! I have tried a number of different dishes and it is really delicious every time. Service is also perfect. A tip, make a reservation in advance if you want to eat in the shop (especially on weekends).

Ordered at El Cabron online thursday october 23d. Food was paid, but never came. Phone goes to voicemail immediately, mail has not been replied to. Could bevplace is closed. Beware!

I came all the way from Amsterdam especially to visit El Cabron and had been waiting outside for 20 minutes… and then it was simply closed! No one said anything, there was no opening hours sign, and the door was locked as if it never opens. I even asked other guests, but no one knew anything. Absolutely disrespectful to customers! Absolutely not recommended.

Terrible service. Took over 2 hours, marked as delivered but never arrived. Called, they said delayed, no solution. Couldn’t cancel or get refunded. Food arrived after 3 hours, cold and poorly packaged

Terrible service. I placed a delivery order and after waiting for an hour, I called to ask about it. They told me they were only just starting to prepare it and that I would have to wait another 30 minutes, without offering any solution. It’s been over an hour and I still haven’t received anything. This is not the first time I’ve had problems with this restaurant’s delivery, but it will definitely be the last.

What a huge disappointment. Ordered €124.50 worth of food from El Cabrion in Zoetermeer for home delivery. - The delivery was fifteen minutes late (it happens), but more importantly: the bag leaked en route, resulting in a mess. - The tortillas were missing from three fajita dishes, and the fries weren't included. - I called the store: a friendly woman answered, but after consulting with her boss, they only offered a €10 discount as "compensation" for an order of over a hundred euros. - I asked the boss to call back to handle this properly, but of course, he didn't. In short: poor delivery, incomplete food, minimal compensation, and no responsibility. We'll definitely not be returning to El Cabrion.

Terrible! Delivered too late, the food arrived damaged because it was crooked in the bag, and then it turns out half the order is missing. Tortillas and fries aren't included. Ordered for 5 people, and the meals for 3 of them are incomplete. I called and they offered the solution of re-delivering... which is nice, but then everything is cold. So, I just have to re-deliver everything. No, we can't do that, but we can only give a €10 discount. I've never experienced anything as bad as this. Ordered for €150, cold, damaged, incomplete, and they didn't even offer a decent solution. A complete mess! No, sorry, I can't recommend El Cabron.

Ordered food well in advance, but it still arrived late. The food had a lot of dripping in the bag; everything was greasy. The order was also incomplete. Three dishes were missing items. All dishes were lukewarm. I called for a suitable solution, but it wasn't forthcoming.

We ate here for the first time tonight. The chicken fajita was delicious, and the fries were also very tasty and crispy. You won't go home hungry. The service was exceptionally friendly. We had a wonderful evening.

Nothing Mexican, except for the dish names! Doesn't taste like much, and certainly not Mexican. A typical case of "a cobbler sticks to his last." They tried their best with the quesadilla and burrito, but the flavor wasn't even close. The nachos... NO! Pros: 1. Very nice lamps 2. Large portions

I went to this little restaurant for dinner today, and to my surprise, it was exceptionally delicious. My girlfriend and I initially thought we'd have a starter, loaded carne nachos. We ended up being completely full and left it at that. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back!

What a nice restaurant with delicious food hidden in Zoetermeer. We recently had dinner here with a large group. We were kindly received. The food was well seasoned and fresh and the drinks were really delicious. The portions are also very large. Staff are friendly. Constantly asked if everything was okay and they also gave a cake on the house (for the birthday boy). I would definitely come back again

El cabron,..weird name for a restaurant if you consider that it is a swear word in Mexico. Apart from the sombrero lamps on the ceiling, there is little else Mexican about it. At a Mexican restaurant you expect a waiter wearing a sombrero and a large mustache (nice stereotype) and Mexican mariachi music in the background. I was served by a lady in Islamic garb which is fine but not really what you expect in a Mexican restaurant. There was no Mariachi music either, but a monotonous rap-like tune in an unintelligible language. If only the food would make up for this lack of atmosphere, but unfortunately I didn't think the food was that fantastic either. So it was a bit of a disappointment...

I recently ordered from here and it was delicious, if you now add a main dish burrito filled with tender meat then you have a regular customer.

Delicious Mexican food. The menu is clear and the dishes are halal. After ordering, the food was served quickly and the portions were large.

Today we had dinner at El Cabron, but unfortunately it was very disappointing. We paid almost €100 for two people and left more than half. The birria tacos were really not tasty, while we normally love Mexican food. This was just a waste of our money. What must be said: the staff is very friendly and polite. But unfortunately that doesn't make up for the disappointment with the food. We won't be coming back here again.

The food took way too long. We got half on the table, but not all together. You really don't get much for that price. 3 small tacos for 17 euros... They also did not take into account what was included as a note on the reservation. Not recommended.

Having just moved to Zoetermeer, we ordered some food via Uber Eats at 9:30 PM. My expectations were not too high as it was late and food is usually not that fresh. But to my surprise it was super tasty! Burrito thickly filled and very tasty, the sauces you get are also very good and a large portion. Enjoyed it so much! Definitely recommended 💓

This is not Mexican a microwave meal is even better. Even the guacamole comes from a jar. And that for the main prize! Really scandalous!! Don't order here people! El microwave.

I really don't complain easily, but I have to get this out of the way. Rarely have you had such a bad meal for almost €25! The taco was soggy, with a little bit of chicken. Chicken was next to the taco. The taco itself was empty. Chicken was half stuck to the cardboard. First some vegetables were placed in the container of the nachos and on top of that the nachos themselves. Cheese was forgotten. After calling, they delivered a new container of nachos, including the melted cheese, which did look better. But for that money you can really expect more. This was once, but never again... What you see in the photo cost me €23.35 (including delivery and transaction costs for ideal).... Two stars because they did deliver. Tip for the delivery person: indicate on the intercom which company you are from instead of just saying "hi".

Delicious food!! Service could be a bit faster, in terms of handing out menus and asking for drinks and food. Food, on the other hand, was ready quickly! And also super tasty! This was the second time we have been here, and certainly not the last.

Well, we were looking forward to it so much because of social media, but when we got there it took quite a while before we were helped. In the end we waited a super long time for microwave food. Nothing was hot or inedible. We didn't finish our food and my girlfriend and I felt so nauseous and miserable. In addition, 90 euros lighter. DON'T GO PEOPLE

El Cabron is a restaurant in the city of Zoetermeer. A small-scale restaurant where you can sit inside and outside with a nice decor. Staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered some dishes and they took a long time. Not all dishes were brought to the table at the same time. I thought that was a shame. But the food was tasty, so that makes up for it. Highly recommended. I ordered Birria tacos, and they don't come with the birria sauce. After I asked, I did get the sauce. But yes, my opinion is, that's part of it, otherwise they wouldn't be Birria Tacos. Definitely worth repeating for the rest.

Food was tasty, you really have to be into junk food like that to love it. Employees were really customer-friendly and you could see that they find it important that everything goes according to the customers' wishes. :)

After we saw positive reviews on social media about halal Mexican food, we came as a couple at 6 p.m. on a Friday evening (without a reservation), it was not yet busy. - service is not good. Two young ladies do their best, but don't seem to be able to handle the crowds(?). It took a very long time before our order was taken. - the interior is mediocre, in addition, the kitchen door (clearly visible from the back) was open. - we have after 7pm!!! slowly received our (food) order. In the meantime, other guests were visibly running out of patience (1 couple left irritated) and others informed the employees that they had been waiting for an order for some time. Now I understand that it sometimes takes a long time, especially on a Friday evening, but the kitchen staff clearly could not handle the orders. - the mocktails were mediocre (unlike the food, they were delivered quickly) and tasted cheap. - the food was very average, incorrect flavors, did not come across as Mexican, small portions. Took way too long to prepare it. - most expensive in terms of price/quality/service. Not worth repeating, choose another/better option! I'm still annoyed that I spent $70 on this.

Delicious Halal food in Zoetermeer

3 stars for El Cabron. It is a small but cozy tent. The decoration is nice and you can see that attention has been paid to it, but I don't feel a Mexican vibe. Upon arrival we were assigned a table. It was not explained how to order, or asked if we had been before. It would have been nicer if she had asked: are you already known to us, or should I explain? Nothing was explained. There was only a QR code on the table with “scan or starve” on it. By clicking on the QR code you will see the menu card, as on the website. So you must pass your order on to the employees. This was not told and if you don't know this, it seems a bit vague. After we asked, we were asked if we wanted to order some drinks. When taking the order, the employee also assumed that we wanted to make a menu for each dish. So pay attention to this when ordering, otherwise you will end up with multiple portions of fries or rice. Delicious if you like it, but a lot. We ordered different things to taste a little bit of everything together. To start with the la reina burger: Burger was nice and juicy, not completely done, nice sauce on it and good taste. €12.95 gets you a good burger, for €4 extra you also get fries with mayo. Price quality. Very good. The fajitas were well seasoned and tasty, but after a few pieces you have enough because it is very rich. The rice, salad and tortilla wraps that you get are delicious to eat with it. €23.95 incl. Salad and rice/fries. Price quality is normal. The nachos pollo loco, they were the tastiest. The nachos remained crispy and not soggy after a while because of the sauce, which you often see. The chicken on it tasted the same as the fajitas and because we had also ordered that, it became a bit monotonous in terms of spicy taste. Those nachos were really tasty and definitely recommended. This was my favorite of all 4 dishes. €16.95. Delicious. Price quality is bomba. Finally we had the birria tacos. To be honest, these were disappointing. The steak was very fatty and the taco skin was also soaked in grease. Which means you actually have to eat them as soon as they are on the table, otherwise the composition will become very hard from the fat. You get 3, I ate one, because they are not very special. It only contains beef tenderloin. There is a dipping sauce and chopped lettuce next to it as a supplement, but the tacos are so flat that there is no room to put it in. €18.95. Price quality, not in proportion. The Chef came out of the kitchen in between to ask if everything tasted good, at least someone who asked. I did not find the employees very hospitable and I think there is room for improvement. We sat at a table where people were constantly walking past. However, we were only asked upon arrival if we wanted something to drink. They were mainly very busy chatting with each other. I also heard them swearing, which personally doesn't matter to me, but in such a small-scale tent, several guests can hear you and it is not very customer-friendly. When paying, the only question was: “PIN”? In a neutral tone. You can at least ask if you enjoyed it. When we left we heard “bye”. If you work in the catering industry, people expect you to be service-oriented. Wishing you a nice evening is quite normal, instead of saying bye. We had a nice meal and did not expect harbor service at all, but this was borderline. A shame, because it is a nice tent with potential. As mentioned 3 stars for el cabron. The food was fine, but if you have to drive an hour like us, we expected a little more, and to be very honest it is a bit overrated. It seems great on the social media channels, but here is my honest review.

Food was disgusting, for the first time in my life I couldn't eat food in a 'restaurant'. Staff was unfriendly, rude and stupid (whether we wanted the starter first). Food seemed to come from the microwave, some parts piping hot, others still cold. Tasteless and watery. Fajitas had a sour-sour taste, rice had a vanilla-like taste. Chicken seemed cooked in a pan of water or in the microwave. Prices on the card do not match those in the cash register system.

If you are a connoisseur of Mexican gastronomy and you are waiting to have some delicious Coronas and Mezcal with AUTHENTIC Mexican FOOD, this is not the place, their food is as if a Dutchman cooked it, in reality there is not a person inside who speaks Spanish or is Mexican . Truly a shame.

Chilli sauce needs to be delivered in seperate container not on top of the product. It causes the nacho's to become unsavable, not even in airfryer. Need to only eat physically. -Chimichanga Why? Soggy due to delivery. Airfryer did not save it. Will try a deep fry next time

Our experience: better than expected delicious food, very nice people and a great atmosphere. Ate delicious nachos and some quessedillas with chicken and meat. When we walked past the restaurant we thought it looked a bit empty, but I am very happy that we went in anyway. What incredibly nice people, and good food at a nice price! Definitely recommended if you are looking for a tasty Mexican restaurant near the center of Zoetermeer. Oh yes, and parking is very easy in a parking garage a street away!

Delicious food, you can taste that everything is homemade. Ate with 2 (young) children, there were coloring books and colors for the children to keep them occupied. The owner is very hospitable and comes by the table to make sure everything is to your liking.
