Spontaneously looking for a restaurant in Driebergen, I ended up at Ellia. I am a fan of Greek food, so the choice was made quickly. Normally I check the reviews, but not this time; I went with my gut and am pleasantly surprised!! Very friendly welcome, the restaurant is clean, tidy, and very spacious; you aren't sitting on top of each other, and the chairs are comfortable. Clean and tidy restrooms. Plenty of choice on the menu with reasonable prices. The food was excellent, both starters and main courses. Unfortunately, due to an appointment, there was no time for dessert, but I will definitely be back, so we'll save that for later. Special features: I received a glass of water with the wine, a nice experience, and upon arrival, there was a choice between a glass of ouzo or a juice on the house, so if you don't like alcohol, there is an option. Ample parking available. Highly recommended!!

What a wonderful experience at ELLIA! From the moment you walk in, you immediately feel the warm, welcoming Greek atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring you feel truly welcome. The food was truly fantastic: fresh, flavorful, and prepared with love. The dishes are authentically Greek and perfectly seasoned. The tender souvlaki, the creamy tzatziki, and the delicious grilled dishes were an absolute must-try. The presentation of the dishes also looked polished and luxurious. Additionally, the restaurant is tastefully decorated and has a cozy, relaxed ambiance that makes you feel like you are on vacation in Greece for a moment. Perfect for both a romantic dinner and a fun evening with family or friends. ELLIA is without a doubt one of the best Greek restaurants I have ever eaten at. Here you taste quality, passion, and genuine Greek hospitality. I will definitely be back soon!

The food was delicious! The staff was so friendly!! Only the time between the starter and main course took a bit longer. We were with children, so it's nice when things move quickly 😅 But that didn't detract from the overall experience; we had a truly fantastic evening! Definitely worth repeating!

Beautiful restaurant, not typically Greek as you might expect. More upscale. A wide selection of fish, meat, and vegetarian options. The only disappointment was the sandwiches. Dry, pre-baked rolls from the supermarket. Feta and tzatziki were truly delicious! Generous portions.

Delicious appetizers and main courses. The desserts were disappointing. Very friendly staff, though sometimes a bit over the top. It did take a very long time, though; we were there from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM for three courses. I wouldn't recommend the house white wine. Nice atmosphere, though.

We dined there with 3 adults and 2 children (ages 12-14). The food was fine, but we only received one portion of fries with one small container of mayonnaise. To share among 3 people. The dishes came with one mini container (about 4 cm in diameter and 2 cm high) of sauce. When we paid, we discovered an additional charge of over 17 euros. After reporting this by email, I received a lesson in profit and loss accounting. They didn't hear that the portions of side dishes were simply too small. After a second email, there was no response, which was a shame.

We picked up food for 16 people. We had a pleasant conversation beforehand about the dishes and received good advice. We may have ordered a bit too much, but we enjoyed it the next day. The food was delicious, varied, and not too salty. A truly memorable place!

I went here yesterday for my birthday. I understand the positive reviews! When you enter you are greeted friendly (you hardly see that anymore). The food was authentic Greek and of high quality (you can taste it). The meat was tender and the dessert of the day was great (I had a vanilla dessert with strawberry - recommended!). We will definitely come back!

We zijn in Austerlitz komen wonen. Waren op zoek naar een griek. Kwamen bij Ellia uit. Zijn inmiddels al 4x geweest. Heerlijk gegeten en de bediening heel vriendelijk. En komt vaak vragen of alles naar wens is. Gaan er zeker vaker eten vind het echt een aanrader. Heerlijke saladebar. En het vlees is top.

We hebben er twee keer met plezier gegeten en vandaag voor de derde keer. Het eten was ontzettend zout, vlees niet goed gaar en de tzaziki warm en melig. Verre van vers. Zat een vreemde nasmaak aan en was ingezakt. Wij komen er voorlopig niet meer. We vermoeden dat er een andere kok stond dan de andere keren of door de drukte.

We picked up the mixed grill twice from you after we had a previous positive experience. Unfortunately this time it wasn't good. The lamb chops had a very thick edge of fat that was tough, poorly fried and poorly seasoned. The fries were also sparse and too soft. The gyros were fine. But all in all, not a nice experience for the money and we will probably not come back to you because of this.

Had dinner here with the two of us on Friday evening. Reserved a table more than a week earlier. Upon entering we were immediately welcomed by a friendly young man. We were served at the table by a friendly young lady and man. We were immediately offered Ouzo or IceTea Peach. Nice that an alcohol-free aperitif is also offered. We ordered a meat dish for two people. We got potatoes and rice and a bowl of salad. All in all it was delicious. For dessert, of course, the baklava and it was also delicious. A restaurant I would definitely visit again if I am in the area. Recommended! [These days I actually never run out of cash, so I have the bill of €88, but increased it to €100, I hope that the difference ends up in the tip jar.]

We are staying at hotel estate de Horst and came across restaurant Ellia on Google, which is within walking distance. Highly recommended! Very friendly and fast service, tasty and fresh food, large portions and a nice setting.

Top Grieks restaurant met ouderwetse service. Heel mooi interieur met prachtige verlichting en fijne stoelen. Ontvangen met ouzou door zeer vriendelijke medewerkers en nóóit aandringen. Heerlijk voorgerecht patelia wat we met 2 gedeeld hebben en was zeer vers en divers en alles werd leuk uitgelegd. Als hoofdgerecht namen we de 2 persoons Elia schotel en was fantastisch met heerlijk divers vlees wat goed gekruid was en zeker niet te zout. Heerlijke witte en rode wijn erbij en gratis water maaktdit tot een Top grieks restaurant. Toch een aanmerking we vinden E 4.50 per espresso te hoog. Graag komen we terug bij Elia.

They still do takeout (I started during corona times) and they are still doing very well. The gyros here is my favorite of all the places I've ever eaten it. The fries were beautifully golden brown (and still hot!) and the tzatziki is highly recommended. Staff always friendly and helpful!

Good food, for me personally the gyros is too soft. A little crispier would dissolve the 'fat'. Of course it's taste. My other table companion liked how soft it was. Highly recommended !!

Had a delicious Greek meal at Ellia's tonight. A tasteful and modern decorated restaurant. Plates beautifully laid out and dishes extremely tasty. And importantly..., impressed by the extremely friendly waiter who received and served us. You don't often encounter this in the catering industry anymore. I gave him a sincere compliment and asked his name: Stratos. This man knows his trade! Too bad we live so far away, I would like to eat here more often.

The food was fine, the gyros at the mixed grill were a bit poor and the garlic sauce and tzatziki could have been a little more. The free salad at the salad bar is a nice extra.

It was noticeable that the service does not receive the tip, which is a shame because they deserve to receive it. The food took a little longer than expected but was fine. However, the flavors were a bit disappointing.

We had to wait a very long time for the food because it was busy?! But an hour??? Apologies and a sandwich as 'comfort'...but we don't eat bread. We've had this excuse before...maybe a point of attention? But it was more than made up for because we got 2 drinks deducted from the bill! Top! But the food is too tasty and the wait is less difficult

Food is really good! Service very poor. Long wait for starter even though it's not busy. Not once did I ask whether everything was to my liking / no question about extra drinks and when asked what the soup of the day is, the answer was 'oh, I don't know, I think meatball soup.' 🤣🤣 Clearing away empty plates between the courses takes a very long time. In short, service is really substandard.

Truly delicious food. One of the best Greek restaurants we have ever eaten in terms of meat preparation. Service very attentive and friendly. The only downside is that you get very few fries with the meal. If you ask for more, you have to pay a lot extra, while we only wanted a small basket of fries (not large ones). 1 small basket of fries per person seems like a normal amount to us? The same applies to Tsaziki. We asked for a little extra. Received a huge amount of €7. Still, we would love to come back, because that meat was so tender and delicious!!!

You have to wait a long time, especially if you are with young children, it takes too long. In previous years the food was great and the service pleasant, but this time it was all a bit disappointing. Perhaps the service could divide their attention more among their guests and not chat at one table for 10 minutes (when it is busy) and ignore the other table. They won't see us again (for now). We thought it was a shame, because after we had reserved well in advance we were really looking forward to it. I think a bottle of coke for 3.65 is ridiculously expensive!

Classic Greek menu. Excellent quality and excellent service. The restaurant is attractive and spacious. We were with a larger group and they were well suited to that. In short, it was a pleasant evening and a delicious meal. Pikilia (starter) is highly recommended. (one Pikilia is enough for 2 people)

Picked up mixed bifteki here last Friday. Food was lukewarm, meat was burnt black, fried for far too long. Almost impossible to cut and a nasty burnt taste.

Heerlijk eten! Als je te weinig personeel hebt, doe dan minder tafels. Dit is geen doen voor het personeel en daardoor niet leuk voor de klanten. Het afhalen zal wel heel erg goed lopen, denk ik.

Wir haben das Lokal zufällig entdeckt. Eine Reservierung ist empfohlen. Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preislich geht es schon nach oben, aber noch in Ordnung! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Een sfeervolle plek met vriendelijke en nette bediening. Het eten was lekker, de prijs prima. Ik vroeg om een beetje extra tzatziki bij mijn vlees en dat bakje bleek 6.95 euro te kosten, dat vond ik wel prijzig.

In een woord fantastisch, heerlijk eten gezellig personeel

Zeer fijn restaurant om lekker een hapje grieks te eten in een heerlijke ambiance!

Vanavond voor het eerst hier gegeten, omdat een vriendin mij trakteerde, en dit restaurant aan raadde. Het eten was heerlijk! Het bedienen van de drankjes en de menu kaart duurde wel wat lang, maar dat was omdat het erg druk was. De bediening deed erg hun best! De leuke ober kwam bij het serveren van het heerlijke voorgerecht netjes excuses aanbieden namens de bediening en de koks, dat het langer duurde. Erg netjes! De leuke ober kwam ook vragen of de droge witte wijn die ik had besteld beviel, echt heel netjes, doen ze niet overal. We hadden opgemerkt dat de ober het heel druk had, maar dat niet liet merken, tegen alle gasten erg vriendelijk was en toch even de tijd voor zijn gasten nam. Hele fijne ervaring, heerlijk gegeten. Het hoofdgerecht was een (voor ons) grote portie, maar nogmaals, het was heerlijk! Ik ga er zeker nog eens terugkomen!

Eten was heerlijk, personeel erg vriendelijk. Maar het restaurant is absoluut niet gebouwd voor hete dagen. Een paar ventilators zou al enorm helpen. Verder top!

Heerlijk gegeten. Hier al eerder geweest. Blijft een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Vlees sappig en met aandacht gegrild. Komen snel weer terug.

Uitstekend eten! Vanaf de seconde dat je binnenkomt voel je je meteen al thuis, je wordt gastvrij behandelt en er wordt goed voor je gezorgd. Pluspunt: Ze hebben een saladebar waar je van het huis een lekkere salade mag pakken voor tijdens het wachten op je eten! Kortom geweldige plek en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Ik had de Ellia schotel. Mijn man de Bifteki . Bord met wat vlees en aardappel, de beloofde tzatziki was erg weinig. Zat in minuscuul bakje. Geen salade erbij, dat wist ik. We vroegen klein beetje tzatziki erbij. Dat moesten we dan wel bij betalen! Beleving was gewoon niet fijn. Bediening was erg aardig, kon er ook niets aan doen.

Met vrienden hier gegeten. Het eten is goed van kwaliteit, maar de porties zijn redelijk groot voor senioren zoals wij. Misschien een tip om senioren menu's te serveren? De bediening was uitermate vriendelijk. Helaas waren de wachttijden erg lang en waren er de witte wijnglazen op. Minpuntje! Wel heerlijk gegeten en lekker lang getafeld!
