Eten en drinken by Iris in Wijk 01 Kerkrade-Oost

Perhaps I made the wrong choice or got a bad plate. I opted for the steak (it tasted like sponge), and the green beans and onion served with it tasted far from fresh. The carpaccio starter was fine, perhaps a strange choice to serve it on bread. It should be noted that the bread was delicious. The setting is very nice, and the service is young and very friendly. We'll definitely try again soon.

We enjoyed a delicious and well-prepared High Tea at Iris yesterday. You should definitely plan at least two hours for the High Tea; the atmosphere is cozy and the staff is friendly. We will definitely be back, and not just for the High Tea.

Had lunch here today. Pleasantly surprised by the large portions! Grilled chicken sandwich tasted excellent. Price/quality perfectly fine. The service was friendly. The restaurant is clean. Definitely worth repeating.

The service cannot be compared to Germany at all! They were super friendly and attentive, from the food, which was simply amazing, to the iced coffee. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Iris is a very sweet hostess who pays attention to everyone. This attention is also reflected in the food. Just good food that you can enjoy. Not too much fuss, but quality and portions that are slightly larger than is good for you, but so tasty that you leave satisfied. Highly recommended.

Email with detailed explanation sent on February 13, 2025, but unfortunately nothing has been heard to date. *** Rarely have I experienced such bad service as yesterday. Two young waitresses gave me the feeling of being deliberately ignored and unwelcome, but when we said something about it and the drink was finally served, it was dumped in front of me. Too bad, the food was tasty and the view is probably beautiful in the summer, but I won't be going here again anytime soon.

We had a baby shower here and we were allowed to decorate everything ourselves, the table was beautifully decorated and the High Tea for the baby shower was super delicious! Good mix between savory and sweet (and fresh) and Iris is so friendly. Staff in general is just friendly. And a very nice location. Definitely recommended!

We celebrated Valentine's Day with food and drinks at Iris. The staff was super friendly, Iris herself super friendly. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The tapas menu was specially created for Valentine's Day. The quantities were more than enough. However, the price versus quality is completely out of proportion. €40 for 1 tapas menu is quite pricey, especially for the quality that certainly does not exceed an ordinary daily meal. 2 large (0.75 cl) bottles of water that cost €7.5 each?? I'm just saying. Not worth repeating.

A lovely and cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. Enjoy a coffee while you're out for a walk, even if the weather is nice. Outside, there's a lovely, large terrace where you can relax in good weather.

Now 3x lunch here. 1x a salad with chicken, 1x a 12 o'clock with a super tasty pumpkin soup with ginger, slice of tuna salad and I think a slice of croquette. 1x crispy chicken sandwich and slices of bread with croquette. Dishes are delicious, only the regular slice of bread could be of a better quality. Is not that tasty and does not do the dishes justice.

We have been there several times now. Nice atmosphere, good service and good food and drinks. We would like to come back there.

Rarely have I seen such an enthusiastic and passionate owner!

On Thursday April 18, after an emotional cremation of a family member, we were warmly and hospitably received by very friendly staff. The tables were beautifully laid out and there were bowls with various pie slices and luxurious sandwiches including salmon, mozzarella, brie and tuna. A vegetable soup beforehand. It was a large group they had to serve, but it went smoothly. All in all, a beautiful location to stay for a sad occasion. We will definitely come back again, highly recommended. Compliments again.

A very nice cozy restaurant within walking distance of Hotel Fletcher Erenstein in Kerkrade. Very good food and very hospitable people in the service. Interested in their guests. Top!

It's actually not easy to see from the street, but it's a nice, attractive restaurant from the inside. Ceiling is made of old walls. Makes the atmosphere nice and cozy. The service was quick. Everyone's food at the table was very good and nicely presented. Stopped in as a small hiking group. Gladly again.

The starter was soup of the day (a vegetable soup) with a bread board and our main course was steak with pepper sauce with a vegetarian pasta. It was very tasty, I have not eaten nearly as well as at Iris and I definitely recommend having lunch there.

Drinking cappuccino alone on the terrace outside. The cup still had someone else's lipstick on it, yuck, staff was not hospitable, music was way too loud. Isn't a discotheque...🥴

Eins vorweg: Das Essen (hatte einen Burger) war wirklich richtig gut. Und auch seinen Preis Wert. Die vermutlich selbstgemachte Mayo war echt super! Jetzt leider ein aber: Der Service war wirklich bemüht und auch sehr nett, jedoch mussten wir echt Lange c.a 45-60 Minuten auf unser Essen warten. Die Speisekarte ist leider nur Holländisch. Alles in allem kann man gerade das Essen wirklich weiterempfehlen.

Helaas kan ik geen 6 sterren geven. Heel prettig om gewoon personeel aan je tafel te krijgen i.p.v. een Qr code en het wordt maar op je tafel gezet door 12 verschillende personen. Personeel is zeer vriendelijk en zeer netjes aanwezig met vragen naar wensen of een praatje. Ik lees recensies over dat het lang duurt maar dit komt vanwege de aandacht die op smaak brengen en presentatie met zich meebrengen en de wachttijd is gewoon normaal. Eten smaakt zeer goed en je krijgt goede porties voor hetgeen wat je betaald voor Nederlandse begrippen. Voor de mensen die zeggen dat het lang duurt en niet smaakt raad ik de macdonalds aan. Gewoon lekker bestellen bij een paal en binnen 13 minuten je eten naar binnen harken. Lekker goedkoop en antisociaal zoals je zelf waarschijnlijk ook bent. Iris, dit was een hele goede ervaring en je gaat ons zeker terug zien. Dank voor de fijne avond en het heerlijke eten. Tot snel!

Mijn vriendin was jarig. En zijn er lekker gaan eten een heerlijk Beef stuk met peper saus. En een lekker brood plankje van sausjes. En een lava cake als toetje.

Genoten van een overheerlijk diner , bediening dacht mee met onze dieet wensen en zelfs de chef-kok kwam aan tafel een praatje maken. Wij komen hier zeker terug.

Wat een heerlijke zaak met heerlijk eten, voor mij ook gelukkig zonder vlees. De bediening was prima, knap voor een meisje van 17, erg vriendelijk, erg attent en erg vanzelfsprekend. Hulde voor haar! Jammer dat we niet zo makkelijk vanuit Haarlem hier kunnen gaan eten..

Parking is heel moeilijk te vinden en ook nog de ingang van het restaurant. Wel gezellige zaak.

Hier de verjaardag van mam gevierd. Goed georganiseerd, zeer klantvriendelijk, heerlijk eten, alles vers bereid. Leuke locatie. Zeker een aanrader!

Zolang wij al hier komen, is het personeel (sommige) slecht opgeleid. Er komt geen vriendelijkheid vanaf. Nogmaals, niet allemaal. De muziek staat zo hard buiten op.het terras dat mekaar verstaan soms lastig is. Is geen lounge club hier dacht ik .. Het kinder speelgoed ziet ook al maanden afgeleefd en onveilig uit. Rustig restaurant,gezellig terras.eten is heerlijk,houden rekening met je wensen,en zorgde voor mij dat alles zacht was in verband met kauwproblemen, ook de bediening was vriendelijk,en gezellig. Prijs was ook goed,waar voor je geld,ga zeker hier weer naar toe als ik in de buurt ben.
