Not the best Febo around, but certainly not the worst. Depending on the time of day the food may or may not be fresh. Usually quite good quality. There’s been a couple times now where the card machines have been down at this location, which is inconvenient considering its card only. Definitely worth checking out for a bite to eat

I’ve been eating at FEBO for more than 40 years and this was one of the most disappointing visits I’ve had. Ordered a patatje oorlog without onions. It arrived covered in onions. Even another customer nearby confirmed I had clearly requested no onions. Instead of replacing the fries, staff handed me an empty container and suggested I sort it out myself. The bigger issue was the quality of the fries. Many looked overcooked and refried multiple times—dark, shrivelled, and far from the fresh fries FEBO was once known for. At €4.85 for a small portion, expectations are not unreasonable. This wasn’t a disaster, but it felt like a classic Dutch institution that has stopped paying attention to the details that made people love it in the first place. It's fast food, ready to eat, it's inexpensive, it's takeout only, they don't accept Amex.

I had beef croquettes (Rundvleeskroket). They weren't exceptionally delicious, but they were the kind of taste that makes you want to eat them again. The convenience of being able to eat them right away is a plus. You pay with a credit card and then press the button next to the door to open it.

A cashless-only croquette vending machine. A popular chain with multiple locations in Amsterdam. The croquettes have a crispy coating similar to a minced meat cutlet and are filled with plenty of meat.

I didn't like it, but that's a matter of taste.

Quick Dutch food. Extremely good though. Try any of their Kroketten's. Perfectly crispy on the outside, inside hot and flavourful.

You can't visit Amsterdam without stopping at FEBO, and this location on Nieuwendijk is excellent! The concept of grabbing fresh snacks from the 'vending machine' wall is so much fun and incredibly efficient. I had a great meal here—everything was piping hot and delicious. The kroketten and grillburgers are a must-try! The place was clean, the service was fast, and it’s the perfect spot for a quick, tasty, and authentic Dutch snack. A 5-star experience for anyone looking for local flavor on the go!

The service and the croquettes at this place are amazing. They're incredibly crispy, come in a variety of flavors, and are served piping hot and delicious. Every time I'm passing by Febo, since I'm looking for a quick bite, I always grab a croquette. I highly recommend it.

Considering the price, FEBO’s one of the best fast food places, price-quality wise. The burgers are decent, portions are pretty big and there’s a lot of variety. Tried most of the things, and I simply didn’t have anything negative to point out. Maybe the fact that there are lots ot drunken people, since it’s open till 2am. Apart from that: - great fries - great sauces - an interesting way to order: sort of a mix between a classic fast-food and a vending machine. i enjoyed it. - friendly staff The point is this: if you’re looking to eat something that’s not a usual international fast-food chain, for a lower price, with a more than decent taste, Then definitely give this a shot.

Gentiaanstraat branch: no specialties, no peanut sauce, fries limp, and a strange aftertaste. I'm a true Febo fan, but this is honestly the worst ever.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your FEBO branch. Unfortunately, the quality of the food served did not meet the minimum expectations a consumer can reasonably have. For example, the food was often overcooked and not cut sufficiently, making it tasteless and unpleasant. When I specifically requested softer baked goods, they were cooked too softly, rendering the dishes inedible and even having to be thrown away. This inconsistency in preparation and quality is not only disappointing from a consumer perspective but can also be perceived as a deficiency in the provision of proper service. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to prevent similar experiences from recurring in the future. Sincerely,

Today I bought 3 different items in a row and they were all almost cold and strange, not as good as usual.

Food was lukewarm and expensive...

We tried some of the snacks from here late at night. The food was very average. But the way you dont have to wait to order is very good for people who want to eat on the go

my quick freeze relief when in Amsterdam

This review is from a Japanese perspective. The croquette-like thing in the photo tasted like basil sausage and was delicious. It cost 3 euros, which seems a bit pricey now with the weak yen, but other restaurants would cost much more, so it's worth coming here to get a taste of the Dutch atmosphere. By the way, they only accept credit cards.

Very convenient ordering of food. Tastes as you'd expect but the fries were shockingly good. I also appreciate that most orders come with a bonus underneath.

I wanted to order something at the counter with my father and was greeted with a YES... When I tried to order a croquette, bami, and satay croquette, I was told it was too busy and could only get something from the vending machine. What terrible service, considering we've been coming here for years and know when it's busy. It must have been busy in the gentleman's mind (no idea his age, but a bald gentleman with glasses) judging by the large can of energy drink behind the counter. Unfortunately, this was my last time here. Such a shame, where are the days when the two ladies were still here? And what terrible service compared to Leiden and Zoetermeer, where you're greeted with a smile.

Very fun, interesting concept that is new to me. I like the cool idea of getting food out of a vending machine thingy. Food was definitely fast food style. Fried goodness with beef inside. Being only 3 euros i think its pretty worth. Overall pretty good

I wanted to get something to eat yesterday at 11:00 sharp. Unfortunately, the store was still closed at 11:10, and the employee was calmly putting away his delivery in the entrance area. So I got something to eat somewhere else.

Ordered fries with mayo and a frikandel. Excellent frikandel and real mayo (no fries sauce). The fries were fried very badly though; yellowish, limp and not crispy at all. Very unfortunate.

Bizarre, I don't have another word for it. Just ordered a large portion of fries and I got half a container. And that for 5 euros. I immediately expressed my displeasure and the employee's response was: "That's not my problem." He also said that it's the new FEBO rules, including the foil in the container. Why is that paper in the container? To make it look fuller? Shameless! I literally live above this shop and therefore come here regularly, but you have lost a regular customer. See you never again!

This Febo is truly exceptionally delicious. The croquettes are my absolute favorite and really good. They always refill quickly and everything is fresh. The fries are also delicious, and the staff is friendly. I went there several times during my time in Amsterdam.

It's mainly a self-service fast food restaurant, you only pay directly with POSS for the dish you want from the display, it unlocks, you open it and you eat faster than that, in Amsterdam it's badly centered in terms of service. You get drinks at the counter where you can also order other dishes to consume such as chips, other types of sandwiches, etc It's clearly not a luxury restaurant but I think it's the essence of FAST FOOD, I find it brilliant. Food as good as other places in that category.

The concept is nice and practical. The prices are affordable. Kind staff. The food itself is not too great. It really looks very industrial but the burger and cheese croquette are very good! It’s handy for helping out or eating cheaply. There are even chairs for eating inside.
