A colleague recommended it to me as authentic Dutch food, and I haven't regretted it. The croquettes are amazing. The experience of picking your choice from the vending machine is also fantastic. It's not top-notch dining, of course, but it's an honest snack at a reasonable price.

Quick and fast. The guy st rhe counter understood that we're tourists and dont know the language. He gave us options ti choose from and helped us get what we wanted. Great spot for fast food

It's a shame that you have to pay by credit card for small amounts. The change was better, but it helps out.

I like Febo's concept. Freshly prepared, you can choose the best burger and simply pay with Apple Pay.

Febo. Very convenient, always close by and never expensive. If you want it quick and don't want to talk to anyone get yourself here. I've personally tried the chicken burgers, chips (fries) and the croquettes. Chicken burger is great considering it's about 3 euros. Nice and cheap. The fries are fine. The croquettes are amazing. Lovely meaty gravy filling with a crispy breaded coating. The flavour of that filling is amazing. And I don't think it was only because of the local delicacy. Are there nicer places to eat in Amsterdam? Sure. But none of them are as easy and convenient as febo. Always there when you need it. Going again November so will be going again for sure.

Some Australian ladies brought us here telling us FEBO is the best thing in the Netherlands! It was certainly unique! Fast food in little windows, easily accessible and fairly reasonably priced given it's in Amsterdam. Croquettes were definitely tasty, chicken burger was small and very average, but after a big night out I can see this definitely hitting the spot! Definitely check out FEBO if you're in the area and haven't experienced this before!

A good way to try local food, good value for money ! The sauce on the chicken burger is 🔥

Visited here a couple of times and really liked it. The concept is unique and perfect, as sometimes you just want a tasty bite to eat, but something more than crisps ect, and don't want to have to speak to someone and wait for an order. The food is in heated boxes, but is surprisingly fresh and tasty. It's as simple as selecting a box and tapping your card and then you get instant hot tasty food. I love the concept and wish it was here in the UK. Certainly would use this place again and I recommend.

The prices at FEBO are extremely high for what you get the croquettes are tiny. We had two, and both were quite cold, while the cheese croquette was piping hot and fresh in contrast. The burger was very disappointing; it had almost no flavor and didn’t taste fresh at all. It’s also a shame that you can no longer use coins everything is card-only now, which takes away some of the charm and spontaneity FEBO used to offer. That said, if you’re out late at night, maybe a bit high and craving something greasy, FEBO can still hit the spot. Just don’t expect high quality it’s all about convenience and that nostalgic vending machine vibe.

It's super crispy and VERY well seasoned... I'm not a meat fan, but I liked all the ones I tried, but the spicy vegetarian one is my favorite. It's like noodles with vegetables and a strong seasoning... Wow, so good.

What a culinary low point. Luckily, the selection in the display was already considerably thinner, otherwise I might have found an "alternative" to the frikandel – so I reached for this Dutch classic. It was the first frikandel of my life. And it will certainly be the last. The taste was simply awful – chewy, indefinable, somehow warm, but also somehow sad. Absolutely not my thing. But I can vividly imagine that the party crowd in the immediate vicinity, with a blood alcohol level of 0.02, would find this vending machine perfectly acceptable. I, however, will bury this experience deep in my memory… and never dig it out again.

Very cool. Simply hold your card against the machine. In every row, from top to bottom, the price is always the same as the one printed on the top. Then press the button on the compartment, and the compartment opens. Take out your food and enjoy. Very warm, fresh, and delicious. For 3-4 euros, it's very tasty and affordable. You can even watch as the compartments are constantly being refilled.

This is a croquette shop, or should I say burger shop, that you often come across when walking around Amsterdam. They mainly sell croquettes, and all of their products are sold through vending machines. You can see what's inside the machine through the door, so you can check the contents yourself, insert a coin, open the door and take it out. The croquettes here are delicious. The seasoning is a little different to those in Japan, but it's definitely worth a try. Behind the vending machine, an old man is frying the croquettes, and as soon as they're ready, he refills the machine from behind. Had to try Febo’s whilst in Amsterdam. The concept is super unique, you see all the food displayed behind little glass lockers and you just pop in your coins or card to grab what you want. It’s also fun watching the staff behind the scenes preparing everything and refilling the slots in real-time. The food is classic fast food — hot, quick, and hits the spot, especially after a few drinks. Definitely worth checking out for the experience alone!

What a fun and vibrant place! The atmosphere is energetic and perfect for a night out with friends. The food was tasty, with generous portions that were great for sharing. A solid choice for a casual, lively, and enjoyable meal. We'll be back for the great vibes

A great discovery, I would love for this concept to exist in France!! A little expensive but it's worth the detour, you have to try it at least once during your stay in Amsterdam

While the locker-style food ordering is a creative idea, the food itself was awful. We tried the croquette and the burger, and both were genuinely unpleasant. I’d rather skip dinner than eat that garbage again.

Great place to get a quick late night snack. The food was very hot and came out fast as it was tap to pay. The food could be cheaper for what it is but I’d come back!

When I heard my friend taking me to a "vitrine food place" I just thought about a really unfreash and fast food place. All was the opposite, fresh food, tasty, and quick. If you want more freshly then you can ask the cook to cook for you a new one.

Dutch equivalent to 7/11 gas station food. Fun to visit for the novelty. Great to visit if you’re inebriated or have social anxiety.

2 fries, 1 small and 1 large, there is little difference in quantity! The small container contains almost as much as the large one, just a few extra fries!

Excellent self-service fastfood, in the windows there is everything: from typical Dutch fried foods to cheeseburgers. You pay, open the counter and take out what you want. The great thing is that the food is always hot as if it were freshly baked! No waiting times, great if you're in a hurry.

Great restaurant and food vending machines in the heart of Amsterdam red light district. It's great for food on the go, especially when it's late at night. Prices are cheap and everything is ready made. No need to wait for it. They have several outlets across the city.

The tastiest Febo in Amsterdam!!!

Very nice discovery during this stay, you will find Febos almost everywhere in Amsterdam. Quite reasonable prices, the cheese croquettes and the cheese burger are very good, even better if you have your head in the clouds!

I just ordered food via the Febo website itself. I am redirected to Thuisbezorgd.nl. accidentally entered a wrong address. I immediately call to change it, but it turns out this is not possible?!!!!!! I have to call Thuisbezorgd.nl to cancel my order and then order again?!!!! Making a simple change of address (100 meters difference) is too difficult for these people. How this disappoints me.

It is a small FEBO, keep in mind that if you choose to eat immediately you will most likely not have a place where you can eat. There are a few stools and a table. If you manage to get a spot here, you will have a nice view of the lively city that Amsterdam is, but it is very small. I used to like fries better, now there is a lot of fat between a lot of fries, FEBO used to be better here, it's starting to become less so, not just this location, but I see it at several locations, while the prices have increased you see me a lot less.

I think the only thing that attracts people is buying food from the vending machine. Apart from that, it is a place below average in terms of taste and hygiene.

At other branches the chicken crisps are super tasty, juicy and well prepared. At this branch they are tasteless, dry, and fried way too hard. Very shame. Ask your colleagues, for example on Reguliersbreestraat, how they do it perhaps?

The most delicious croquettes you can try; easy, fast and accessible if you don't want to sit somewhere. They are continually bringing them out freshly made, hot and crispy.

I don't recommend it, it became famous, but I thought the price was high due to the lack of quality and the size of the portions. I recommend going to Wok To Walk if you're hungry or even going to the Albert Heijn supermarket.

A true amsterdam highlight, don’t tell me you’ve been there & did not try febo. Croquette is life & i can’t believe i’ve been missing out on this my whole life. On another level, i had the beef croquette burger & the croquette itself on the side & it was craaaazy good!! Highly recomnended!

Recommended Kalfsvleeskroket, crispy on the outside and juicy with fresh meat on the inside, super delicious You can choose meals in a self-service manner. After swiping your card, you can click the button next to the food to pick up the meal. The food is freshly prepared by the staff in the backend, and it is completely hot and will not cool down.

Throwback to the era of the Automat, where you can get hot food from a vending machine. 2 really good veggie options, good late night snack.

I found it quite expensive and not worth eating there. I think they offer a good product, but at a high price, as it is small and not the tastiest. I prefer to go to the supermarket and buy something there.

The truth is that it is an ideal place to try "a couple of typical things" from there. Like the typical croquette there. And it is easy and comfortable to use as well as something very cool for tourists who are not used to this in our cities. You bring the card closer and charge you the amount, you select the product and the little door opens. The truth is that the experience is funny. The food is what it is, fried, but for that price (burgers at €2.50) it is quite good

Very bad food. We ordered and for €40! The burgers were cold and soggy. The fries weren't seasoned and the dips they chose were disgusting. The chicken nuggets were anything but nuggets. Never again! Apart from the fact that the supplier was probably on some substance. It doesn't work at all

I used to love the burgers from the vending machines - unfortunately not anymore. Very small meat patty, whether it's beef or chicken burger (€4 each) - the taste is okay. The burger buns are not good, you just chew on the sesame seeds. The fries... well, no seasoning, no taste, it's actually a shame to call something like that fries. (Medium with dip 4.40) The chicken pieces still looked delicious, but we were already served the rest. I will tick off my positive memories and won't come back.

For a quick and fun little snack, Febo (Dutch chain of walk-up automat-type fast food restaurants founded in 1941 in Amsterdam) represents a simple and practical idea with which you can buy burgers and croquettes at reasonable prices.

I must say that I expected worse and instead I reevaluated myself. They have various choices including meat or chicken sandwiches, vegetable croquettes etc, chips. Meat not of too much quality but easily comparable to one from a well-known fastfood brand. Sandwiches €3.5/4 and Croquettes €3

The attendant is very rude and poor customer service. I paid via the automatic service but the machine refused to open. The attendant rudely told me that was my problem while there was a technical problem. A second client had the same issue but he rudely dismissed me.

Awesome. YUM YUM YUM. Love FEBO!! First and last stop before leaving the Netherlands. Dutch snack bar a must stop for every visit. My favourite: patat oorlog, frikandel speciaal, kroket broodje. But you can not go wrong with any choice. I prefer to order on the counter than the boxes, though boxes are cool too.

I just had to try the vending machine hot food because I had heard about it many times talking to other ppl ,,, very convenient and cheap

top location for tourists, nevertheless my favorite Febo. Always friendly, polite, helpful staff. the men behind the counter are now a familiar face to me after all these years. and they still enjoy working there. Making a joke here and there. I always get a smile back when I step outside happily. it is clean if you compare it with other "restaurants", snack bars or just the streets of Amsterdam center. tourists have no respect for the local people and throw their junk everywhere except where it belongs. I have no complaints about the quality of the food. the food is always ready quickly, so I never have to wait long. Other than that, all I can say about the food is that it tastes a thousand times better at the Febo than those greasy delicacies at the station. 5/5 stars for my favorite Febo only for atmosphere 4/5 but this is because of the tourists and their ridiculous behavior. if there is a group of 10 or more young people/drunk tourists/adolescent girls/corpos and so on. When it's busy in Febo, I always think: "I'll skip this one and come back at a quiet time." The reason for this very extensive review is because something just as beautiful happened to me. I live close by, and I had to pick something up quickly. It's such a beautiful summer and evening so I treat myself to a soft ice cream with disco dip. Great because the speckles are white and red, the colors of the brand. After waiting a moment for the very noisy group of teenagers, I ordered my ice cream. The soft ice cream machine did not have one in it or needs maintenance or cleaning. The machine beeped and came to a stop after half a cone. The friendly man tried to turn it into something nice and tried again. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a pathetic soft ice cream, but with extra speckles. That's why it was free for me today. 🍦
