Food was more novelty concept, pay n take your food out of the tab. Chicken tender was surprisingly good but the burger and the rest was ok ok

It's currently trendy and heavily promoted by influencers, but it's still just processed, industrialized products that you get yourself into and eat on the street. We tried all the croquettes; they were good, but nothing out of this world. They cost 3 euros each, and were small. It's really for people in a hurry who don't want to waste time in restaurants or fast-food places.

It's delicious, and at 3 euros per piece, the price isn't bad haha. It's crispy on the outside and soft on the inside; it's a little salty, but I still want to eat it again.

I thought it would be like a Japanese croquette, but it was creamy and gooey, like a cream croquette. The coating was spicy and delicious.

The place is very organized, but I wonder how it is possible to write that the hamburgers are good, the only thing I save are the fries and their croquette, the hamburgers absolutely not

The food is ok, cool concept but rather expensive for the portions. Its decent, use it once but not again.

Eating here is like stepping back in time to the days of vending machines. The wall-mounted machines are incredibly easy to use: you pay by card (or coins), the small glass door opens, and voilà, your food is hot and ready instantly. I tried the classic "kroket" (meat croquette) and the "kaassoufflé" (cheese soufflé), and both were delicious, perfectly crispy, and freshly made. They have staff in the back constantly restocking the display cases, so everything stays fresh. The prices are very reasonable (around €3.50 to €4.50 per snack), ideal for a quick bite while you're strolling through the city center. Highly recommended if you're looking for something fast, traditional, and inexpensive!

These portion sizes are a complete joke. 4 euro for a burger bun with sauce +1 for speed (served before I paid)

Yeah, it's alright, it's good, but honestly, it's very expensive for what it is... Juicy chicken (that surprised me).

These are fried dough sticks that look a bit like croquettes! Not sure what the filling is.

The products in the vending machines are good. They had bitterballen, but you have to ask for them at the register (they're not available in the lockers). I'm taking off one star because the fries I was served weren't good; they were stale (soft, not at all crispy, and dense inside). In the shop, there's a pile of pre-prepared fries that have probably been sitting there for a long time (which explains why they get soggy...). At another Febo, the fries were nice and crispy because they were made to order. I also had a pistachio milkshake, but it was completely uninteresting; it was far too sweet (you couldn't taste the pistachio at all, only the sugar and ice crystals). A shame. I recommend this Febo, but not for the fries or the milkshake.

It is a Febo, which is of course synonymous with tasty snacking! Instead of going to McDonald's, you can also support this beautiful Dutch pride! Almost everything from the vending machine is perfect, and certainly suitable for a quick bite, especially if you've had a bit too much to drink. My favorites are the chicken burger and the satay croquette. With a portion of fries, of course! The fries are always tasty, and certainly not soggy (like at Mac or KFC). It is also fun to see tourists taking photos of the snack vending machine (because it is just a silly sight) and then standing there fiddling with the doors, expecting one to open by itself.

It's nice that half the food is dispensed from a vending machine. The staff barely says hello, and they're really rude and impolite. We ordered fries with friends, but there were no one else to serve them, and they arrived burnt! Trap!

Always tasty at FEBO! Visited FEBO on Oudezijds Voorburgwal and it was a real treat again! The fries were deliciously crispy and flavorful, exactly as you would expect from FEBO. The noodles were also top-notch – nicely seasoned and just right! It is the perfect spot for a quick, tasty bite, especially if you are just strolling through the city. The quality is always consistent, and it is nice and fast. Definitely recommended if you are craving a tasty snack in the heart of Amsterdam!

FEBO kibble is effective: served hot, quick to prepare, and affordable. It's not haute cuisine, but it's still a practical option.

I’m an American from the west coast so I had to try out Dutch’s fast food and it is really good! In-n-out is #1 and Febo #2! It’s their sauce on the burger that is really good! This is a grilled burger special. Milkshake and fries were good as well! This was 13 euros

A typical and quick Amsterdam experience, FEBO🍟 Their most iconic feature is their vending machines: just pay, open the door, and grab a hot snack. It's super fun and perfect if you're short on time or suddenly hungry (which is very common). Their croquettes and kaassoufflé (fried cheese) are classics, always hot and super delicious. The fries are also good, and there's never a shortage of sauces. The prices are average, among the lowest you'll find in the city, making it the ideal place for a quick snack at any time. It's an Amsterdam institution, fast and decidedly unique. Must try.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your FEBO branch. Unfortunately, the quality of the food served did not meet the minimum expectations a consumer can reasonably have. For example, the food was often overcooked and not cut sufficiently, making it tasteless and unpleasant. When I specifically requested softer baked goods, they were cooked too softly, rendering the dishes inedible and even having to be thrown away. This inconsistency in preparation and quality is not only disappointing from a consumer perspective but can also be perceived as a deficiency in the provision of proper service. I trust that you will take this matter seriously and take appropriate action to prevent similar experiences from recurring in the future. Sincerely,

A top place for authentic fried food, sandwiches, and more. They basically have drawers with the food pre-cooked and ready to eat. You pay by card and eat right away. Really convenient and well-made. Recommended.

We spent about 30 euros here which is over five thousand Australian dollars. The burgers were dry and tasteless. The chips were perfectly crisp and seasoned with a deceptively complex blend of sunflower oil and salt. The milkshake brought about a joy and lust for life that might only be comparable to the famous carpenter’s blood wine. The service was abrupt, and the venue was full of drunk frat boys. Probably the best food in central Amsterdam.

The exceptionally aggressive and rude staff at this location have long been known for their short-tempered staff. We've now experienced firsthand how the staff treats customers. We saw a tourist paying at the machine accidentally open the wrong compartment. He opened an empty compartment when he tried to get the snack he'd paid for from another compartment. He was violently stopped, and his hand was visibly injured. We hope this young man was able to report the incident. We found the staff to be very unprofessional. Sometimes tourists need a little help, and the staff should be deeply ashamed of this behavior.

A colleague recommended it to me as authentic Dutch food, and I haven't regretted it. The croquettes are amazing. The experience of picking your choice from the vending machine is also fantastic. It's not top-notch dining, of course, but it's an honest snack at a reasonable price.

It's a shame that you have to pay by credit card for small amounts. The change was better, but it helps out.

I like Febo's concept. Freshly prepared, you can choose the best burger and simply pay with Apple Pay.

Febo. Very convenient, always close by and never expensive. If you want it quick and don't want to talk to anyone get yourself here. I've personally tried the chicken burgers, chips (fries) and the croquettes. Chicken burger is great considering it's about 3 euros. Nice and cheap. The fries are fine. The croquettes are amazing. Lovely meaty gravy filling with a crispy breaded coating. The flavour of that filling is amazing. And I don't think it was only because of the local delicacy. Are there nicer places to eat in Amsterdam? Sure. But none of them are as easy and convenient as febo. Always there when you need it. Going again November so will be going again for sure.

Some Australian ladies brought us here telling us FEBO is the best thing in the Netherlands! It was certainly unique! Fast food in little windows, easily accessible and fairly reasonably priced given it's in Amsterdam. Croquettes were definitely tasty, chicken burger was small and very average, but after a big night out I can see this definitely hitting the spot! Definitely check out FEBO if you're in the area and haven't experienced this before!

Visited here a couple of times and really liked it. The concept is unique and perfect, as sometimes you just want a tasty bite to eat, but something more than crisps ect, and don't want to have to speak to someone and wait for an order. The food is in heated boxes, but is surprisingly fresh and tasty. It's as simple as selecting a box and tapping your card and then you get instant hot tasty food. I love the concept and wish it was here in the UK. Certainly would use this place again and I recommend.

The prices at FEBO are extremely high for what you get the croquettes are tiny. We had two, and both were quite cold, while the cheese croquette was piping hot and fresh in contrast. The burger was very disappointing; it had almost no flavor and didn’t taste fresh at all. It’s also a shame that you can no longer use coins everything is card-only now, which takes away some of the charm and spontaneity FEBO used to offer. That said, if you’re out late at night, maybe a bit high and craving something greasy, FEBO can still hit the spot. Just don’t expect high quality it’s all about convenience and that nostalgic vending machine vibe.

It's super crispy and VERY well seasoned... I'm not a meat fan, but I liked all the ones I tried, but the spicy vegetarian one is my favorite. It's like noodles with vegetables and a strong seasoning... Wow, so good.

What a culinary low point. Luckily, the selection in the display was already considerably thinner, otherwise I might have found an "alternative" to the frikandel – so I reached for this Dutch classic. It was the first frikandel of my life. And it will certainly be the last. The taste was simply awful – chewy, indefinable, somehow warm, but also somehow sad. Absolutely not my thing. But I can vividly imagine that the party crowd in the immediate vicinity, with a blood alcohol level of 0.02, would find this vending machine perfectly acceptable. I, however, will bury this experience deep in my memory… and never dig it out again.

Very cool. Simply hold your card against the machine. In every row, from top to bottom, the price is always the same as the one printed on the top. Then press the button on the compartment, and the compartment opens. Take out your food and enjoy. Very warm, fresh, and delicious. For 3-4 euros, it's very tasty and affordable. You can even watch as the compartments are constantly being refilled.

This is a croquette shop, or should I say burger shop, that you often come across when walking around Amsterdam. They mainly sell croquettes, and all of their products are sold through vending machines. You can see what's inside the machine through the door, so you can check the contents yourself, insert a coin, open the door and take it out. The croquettes here are delicious. The seasoning is a little different to those in Japan, but it's definitely worth a try. Behind the vending machine, an old man is frying the croquettes, and as soon as they're ready, he refills the machine from behind. Had to try Febo’s whilst in Amsterdam. The concept is super unique, you see all the food displayed behind little glass lockers and you just pop in your coins or card to grab what you want. It’s also fun watching the staff behind the scenes preparing everything and refilling the slots in real-time. The food is classic fast food — hot, quick, and hits the spot, especially after a few drinks. Definitely worth checking out for the experience alone!

A great discovery, I would love for this concept to exist in France!! A little expensive but it's worth the detour, you have to try it at least once during your stay in Amsterdam

While the locker-style food ordering is a creative idea, the food itself was awful. We tried the croquette and the burger, and both were genuinely unpleasant. I’d rather skip dinner than eat that garbage again.

Dutch equivalent to 7/11 gas station food. Fun to visit for the novelty. Great to visit if you’re inebriated or have social anxiety.

When I heard my friend taking me to a "vitrine food place" I just thought about a really unfreash and fast food place. All was the opposite, fresh food, tasty, and quick. If you want more freshly then you can ask the cook to cook for you a new one.

2 fries, 1 small and 1 large, there is little difference in quantity! The small container contains almost as much as the large one, just a few extra fries!

Excellent self-service fastfood, in the windows there is everything: from typical Dutch fried foods to cheeseburgers. You pay, open the counter and take out what you want. The great thing is that the food is always hot as if it were freshly baked! No waiting times, great if you're in a hurry.
