Floor17 in Overtoomse Veld

was very disappointed with the set menu at Floor 17. The food felt far more focused on being trendy than on being genuinely good. The shrimp cocktail was texturally unappealing and poorly conceived. Serving very small shrimp with yet another side of rosemary sauce showed a lack of understanding of balance and flavour. Any trained chef would know this combination simply does not work. The beef Wellington was even worse: excessively salty and deeply unpleasant. It was heavy, poorly seasoned, and completely missed the mark on what should be a refined, classic dish. The presentation leaned into gimmicks rather than substance. The single croquette served under a lid felt ridiculous and self-important, especially considering the quality of what was underneath. Overall, the three courses were about style over substance. For the price charged, the experience was not remotely justified. This restaurant is seriously overrated. Please stop prioritizing trendy concepts and start focusing on well-prepared, thoughtfully composed food. Don't waste your time or money here.

The €21 burger wasn't worth it: tomato, bun, onion, and a mediocre, non-homemade burger. Fries were an extra €8. If only they were homemade, but no, they were frozen afiko fries. It's a nice place, but you can't call this a restaurant.

The cocktail was delicious. The view was beautiful. We were turned away upon arrival because they weren't open, even though Google said otherwise.

We are staying at the hotel so we decided to check out this restaurant. We made a reservation for 2. We were placed at a table around the corner from the main bar area in what felt like a secluded/segregated area, where there was 2 only 2 other tables eating. Table next to us of 6 ordered a couple of minutes before us, had appetizers, dinner, coffee, and paid prior to us getting our meal. Wait staff never came to check on us, they sat us took our order and left did not come back until they brought our food nearly an hour later. Wait staff very short with interactions, and we felt ignored. We waited nearly an hour for a burger and the cod fish. Upon receiving food Burger was very rare (which may be to the liking of others, but not mine). No staff had come to check to see how things were. Eventually called a staff member over and requested it be cooked to well done, they took it back. The other person I was with was done eating before I again received my burger. So I asked if they do takeout, they do not, but told me I could take my plate (a wooden plank) to my room if I am a hotel guest. Decided to stay and eat it, my burger still unfortunately was pink inside and not well done. Fish was good. But small portion. Would not recommend this restaurant.

The lamb dish was tiny. It was really just two chops and peas. For €30 a dish, it's a total rip-off. M

Unfortunately, the receptionist doesn't understand the bar's system. We were there on a Monday—certainly not the busiest day of the week—and after we just wanted a drink at 9:00 PM, everything was booked, and we were told to go to the lobby. It was strange that two couples behind us were allowed through without reservations. But they weren't hotel guests. It's a shame, but another bar was happy with the sales.

The website stated that every Friday there will be disco music. This was not the case. We went out of our way to go to this rooftop specifically for the disco music but they haven’t done that in months. Tried calling a few times before to make a booking but no one answered. The rooftop itself is quite nice, and pretty but the drink menu is also very limited.

Yes, it's a bit pricey for Nieuw-West, and the cocktails could use a bit more energy (lemon, lime, sprig of mint, bunch of currants, something), but the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. The moment you step inside, you feel welcomed by the reception staff (think African young lady. Don't think Su or Anti, but I could be wrong), and that vibe continues long after you leave. Tim, Iren, Ms. Gorgeous Eyeliner, and colleagues truly outdid themselves. And so did the chef. Lamb rack 10/10. All this, combined with the stunning view, makes for a fantastic evening. I'll definitely be back soon!

A restaurant that claims to be upscale. So, it's expensive, but the food isn't plentiful enough. The best part is the view of Amsterdam and the sunset. But the windows are dirty.

Reconsider your personnel. First they tell us that "roof floor is so full they are going to close it", we go there and there aren't even all tables taken. Then we come to 17th floor and ask if we could get a table at the window, first says we are free to choose ourselves, second throws us away because the table we chose is for people who have dinner. No indication what areas are for, not even dinner time (after 22:00)

Unfortunately, as a vegan, there wasn't a single dish on the menu that I could eat, even though the restaurant described itself as vegan-friendly. The waiter didn't know what vegan meant either, and when I asked what I could eat, he offered me fish?! It was very elegantly decorated, but the service and the food (my friend, who ordered gnocchi, had no joke, five pieces on his plate) left a lot to be desired. It was also far too expensive. In my opinion, it was a fancy restaurant. The view, however, was great. But next time, I'd rather order a pizza.

The view is great, even in the evening. However, at some point, they just said that it closes at 10 p.m., BUT it's important to note: the other side (without the bar) is open until midnight. You can also get a drink two floors below or sit down there. A bit pricey.

It was very bad food. I really don’t know why they don’t do anything with it…

Terrible stay. At 1 a.m., while we were asleep in our room, a security guard, accompanied by a waiter, attempted to enter by unlocking the door with a master key. Only the safety latch prevented them from getting in. The security guard then ordered us, in a threatening tone and without even identifying himself, to unlock the latch. The reason? To demand payment for the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant just a few hours earlier. However, no one brought us the bill at the end of the meal, we were thinking that food fees would be added to our room for settlement upon checkout, as is common practice in many hotels. We were treated like thieves, woken up in the middle of the night, panicked, and of course unable to get back to sleep. It is unacceptable to treat guests in this manner. This behaviour is outrageous and completely inexcusable. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel.

My sister’s surprise proposal and a “Bittersweet” feeling from the service. Although in the beginning, Janice, the events manager was giving us (me and my brother in law) a hard time 1 day prior to their anniversary, by putting the conditions to the “proposal at the terrace after dinner”, that were not mentioned during the initial agreement. I’d still like to say thank the Administration above for meeting us half way in the end, and special thanks to the amazing team: Irene, Dina and Sam for their incredible support in organizing the proposal on the day X. Your contributions helped make this unforgettable moment in my sister’s life even more special. Although the event took place, and it was amazing experience because the administration “eventually” met us half way 1 day before the due date, though the pre-event experience where it almost got cancelled left a bitter taste, which I want to add as a feedback that the Events team need to work on. Thank you!

My daughter gifted me a dinner at Floor 17 for my 70th birthday, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought maybe it was a very posh and hip place and would make me feel self-conscious. But all the staff were extremely friendly and relaxed and made me feel very much at home. The food was fine but the whole experience was exceptional!

Despite the poor service (you have to constantly seek out the waiters to order something) and the mediocre food (perhaps because we were with a large group), this place is definitely worth a visit just for the view.

Bad food, bad dining experience glass was dirty

I found the food menu to be below my expectations. While the signature dishes were visually appealing, I would have appreciated them more if the portions were also satisfying. A dish being filling is more important than just being photogenic. The service overall was good, and the waitstaff were attentive. However, the last tiramisu was brought out quite late, and it was clear that it had just been prepared. Although the fact that they assembled it fresh and in-house is admirable, a proper tiramisu ideally needs at least six hours to rest before serving. Additionally, the staff member who brought the dessert forgot to bring a spoon — which is understandable — but when he approached and jokingly said, “You can eat it with your hands if you want,” while touching my shoulder, I felt that it crossed a professional boundary. Even if it was meant as a joke, it felt unnecessary and slightly inappropriate.

The food was not correctly cooked and they looked they have tried a creative way for cooking, but the result is not as good as they might have expected. Plus the quantity was not enough at all: I don’t recommend here to eat, but it’s a not bad place to drink.

Guests of the hotel, we wanted to try their restaurant after a busy day of sightseeing in the city. The view is definitely the strong point of this restaurant and I must say that we went there knowing the high prices. We hoped at least the quality would be high, but instead we didn't notice anything special. €89 for two small beers, a water, two cuts of meat of about 200g each and a portion of chips. Average food and prices that are not directly proportional to the quality. Portions are also very small. We left with half-empty bellies and a lighter wallet. Last but not least? After paying for the air you breathed, you will find yourself with wonderful napkins... PAPER to wipe your mouth🫠 the waiters are still very kind, helpful and smiling.

Amazing restaurant with one of the best views of the entire city. The restaurant and sky bar are located on the top 3 floors of the Leonardo hotel. We started with a few cocktails on the rooftop bar which were delicious, my friends tried a few of their unique cocktails while I went for a really nice Negroni. For dinner we started with some tartar and flat bread, both were delicious. The main was the star of the show though, the 700 gram cote de boeuf (perfectly medium rare) was out of this world, it was the first time I got to try this amazing cut. I'd also highly recommend trying the lamb chops & potato terrine! The staff and atmosphere were also really good. Our waiter made sure that we were always well taken care of. The restaurant has a Modern but laid back interior. It's definitely a bit more to the high end side but still accessible for casual dining. Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Floor17. If you like good views & great food, I'd highly recommend checking them out!

Leonardo hotel Rembrandt park great place to chill

Reserved 3 months ago. Today at half past four in English (!) Trlefoonyjrndst due to events they have a limited menu. So I didn't go there

It took more than an hour to bring my order: a beer and fries. The place wasn't even full. Very tasty, but I feel like the times should be faster for such a simple order.

What a view this place have, you can see all over Amsterdam, just amazing. The waiters where friendly and quick. But the food options where limited and not well executed. So go there for the view and have some drinks.

Just had the breakfast there - very disappointing selection and for what you get overpriced too. The nice view is not making up for that.

The view is breathtakingly beautiful and the atmosphere looks cozy and inviting. The service was ok. However, I was very disappointed with the food. Nothing on the menu really appealed to me. The salad I chose had a bad aftertaste and the dressing was also missing. The ONYX dessert looked very visually appealing. The chocolate on the outside was so frozen that it was almost impossible to eat. The ice cream in the scoop barely had any taste. The tortellini tasted really delicious, but the portion was quite small compared to other main dishes. In my opinion the price of the dishes is NOT justified.

Amazing views and really good service

Bar menu is limited. We wanted to enjoy the view and decided to settle for fewer food choices. Staff is friendly and vibe is casual, yet smart. Will go again.

Amazing food, really the best tasting steak ever. Prices were as expected from a high end restaurant. Staff were amazing and polite, especially the girl who greeted us before we got in the lift. We seemed to get ignored towards the end and one of our sides got forgotten about but it’s okay. The chef halfway through started yelling and turned the music up super loud!! So was hard to hear each other. Would come again

I dined at this restaurant for a romantic evening with my husband in September 2024. The view is truly spectacular: the restaurant rotates slowly, allowing you to enjoy the entire panorama of Amsterdam twice over the course of two hours. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. We ordered two finger foods that never arrived and were instead served to another table. Despite asking the waitstaff several times, they responded in a rather rude manner, promising that the items would arrive, but they never did. The dishes were good, but the portions were very small and the waiting time is really long. Nevertheless, the breathtaking view made the evening special. I recommend the owner increase the portions and pay more attention to the service, as it was the real flaw of the evening and spoiled what should have been an unforgettable romantic dinner.

We had an amazing New Year’s Eve dinner at Floor 17! The breathtaking view of the city’s fireworks paired with delicious food made the evening truly unforgettable. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, and we want to especially highlight Mr. Raweno, our waiter. He was exceptionally kind, courteous, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience—thank you so much! At midnight, we were even allowed to access the rooftop terrace to enjoy the fireworks from an unbeatable vantage point. The prices were very reasonable for the high quality of food and service, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. We were not guests of the hotel where the restaurant is located, but that made no difference in how warmly we were welcomed. We were thoroughly satisfied with our visit and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special place to celebrate.

We stay at Leonardo hotel in end of Rembrandt's Park and today we tried Hotel's restaurant in 17th floor. Views are spectacular and in more warmer days you could enjoy the Vista even higher 18th floor terrazzo. Restaurant and its Bar are nice and their cocktail list is good. We enjoyed beer and as usual in The Netherlands selection is very good. For food we had Duck for my wife and Burger with Fries for me. Both dishes were ok, but not spectacular. Personal with smiles was nice and of course the 17th floor views from the restaurant.

I did not have drinks, which seems to be the main attraction to this high view haunt. Perhaps, I would have enjoyed the vegan chicken sandwich more. Bun was very dry on the uninspired plate. Fries were standard. The service; however, was clever and engaging. Views are really, something.

Went to the buffet, was not expecting much but WOW what a disappointment! This was prison food, actually I’m sure many prisons have better food than this. There was rice, gray coloured mashed potatoes, some kind of meat in a brown sauce, it was so processed I felt like I was getting heartburn from one bite, a chicken dish in another nasty dollar store sauce that tasted like ketchup, some overcooked macaroni in tomato sauce, and soup, but no spoons (I’m not even joking). There was no employee in sight and not enough seats for people, they had actually blocked half of the room, I wonder why. Everyone looked miserable eating there, really emphasizing the prison experience. Oh and apparently this was worth 32,5EUR? I’m flabbergasted.

Unfortunately the potato gratin was hard. Even after the second time back - still hard. But I didn't have to pay him. The service was really good and so was the ambience!

The view and the staff were a 10/10😍 it is very modern and very nicely decorated. The food was very nice, however our dessert was not ours. The waitress who served us was very friendly and responded to all our requests. You can also smoke on the roof terrace, where a patio heater provides warmth. I would recommend further.

When we entered we had to wait a while, which was fine of course. A place was then assigned, we only came for a drink so we were given a place on the couch. After waiting a while, without asking if we wanted something to drink, I got up to ask for another seat. This was no problem. We were given a seat at the back of the restaurant. Unfortunately this seemed to be a mistake because the service was also bad here. Bad as in, again a long wait for the menu, a long wait for the drinks and a long wait for passing staff to ask for another drink. We were also looking forward to something tasty, but the dessert menu was very small and unfortunately did not appeal to us. In addition, the system was defective when we went home, so we had to arrange the parking ticket at the hotel downstairs. All in all not the best experience.

The 2 stars purely for the view. 8 euros for a bowl of fries that have been fried at least twice. Had to wait 30 minutes to be surprised with leftover fries in a bowl the same size as a Chinese teacup. The steak was swimming in capers and my liver can still feel the salt, not to mention the hair in my steak. Got a new one but yeah But good things can happen, right? However, staff have to beg you to order a drink. Let alone that interest was shown whether everything was as desired. After some time we walked up to someone to ask if we could pay and went for a drink elsewhere. We might as well have thrown down 125 euros. Too bad because you can do it.

The location on the 17th floor is a plus with a view of the city or a park. Roof top in the 19th to start dinner... Friendly and individualized service. The Prime Rib was a real treat. Slightly high price justified by the view.

Bediening in restaurant daarentegen uitstekend! Volop aandacht en zeer correct. Prima advies over wijn. Goed eten. Complimenten. Receptionist hotel/bar was zeer klantvriendelijk. Ging met grote glimlach huiswaarts. Gratis uitrijden indien daar gegeten (staat nergens en werd niet gezegd).

Had a drink. Drinks were fine but not very cheap. Nice view. Entrance service was good but everything after that was very mediocre, especially for the prices they ask. There are 4-5 people standing at the counter, but it takes 7-10 minutes to find someone to take your order. Always walks past you but doesn't pay any attention to the customer. Then it takes another 10 minutes for the drink. Will go just for the vibe and view.

It looked great, with the views, and we had a good table. Food was good - thank you to the chef. Although the lady serving didn't warn us pre ordering that they didn't have fish (which we chose), and when ordering mains, like steak, no sides were offered, like fries/veg etc. Wine list was only 3 different reds to chose from....:( We were left waiting for service quite often, with empty dishes around for a long time and table not cleaned after it got a bit dirty.. Service was just ok, so a bit disappointing for what was our very special occasion. I'd go there again for a view, but just for cocktails / drinks, not for evening dinner. There are amazing restaurants in central Amsterdam not to be missed.

Lovely bar outside the city - but definitely with a great view over Amsterdam! Great selection of cocktails, also wide options for alcohol-free drinks that are not just soft drinks or similar to those. Sweet atmosphere, lovely staff and interior design.
