Fondue Fabriek in Binnenstad

The Fondue Factory is now located in a different restaurant: Museumcafé Gouda.

Basic, not tasty and way too expensive for what you get.

We wanted to eat here on October 1, 2022, with four adults and two small children. When the staff spotted the children, everything was suddenly reserved. Mind you, in an empty restaurant at 5:30 p.m.! That's unacceptable. The restaurant is very nice, but we won't be back without our children either.

Yes, this is a fantastic cheese fondue concept, with three flavors that can be alternated. And satay, in case you don't like cheese at all. Great service and a lovely decor. Be careful when entering, though; there's a step down immediately after the curtain!

The restaurant has a superb decor with a warm, industrial style. I tried the bread fondue, which was very original, with its grilled vegetables to dip into a hollowed-out bun filled with melted cheese. The burger is also very good, although more traditional. The service is fast and the staff is friendly.
