The chef's menu is highly recommended. Our lactose-free friend was offered alternatives that were also very tasty. Delicious wines were also included, and the atmosphere was lovely. Still not convinced? The price is also a real plus!

A small restaurant in Nijmegen's city center. In a tiny kitchen, the chef prepares surprisingly delicious and creative dishes. Except for a few anchovies, it's vegetarian. The service is attentive and friendly. All in all, a wonderful surprise.

Michelin star worthy dining in a nice informal setting. The food is incredibly tasty and surprising. Even my boyfriend - a pronounced meat lover - was very enthusiastic about the dishes with vegetables in the leading role. The natural wines were delicious, the service super friendly and the prices very reasonable. My new favorite restaurant in Nijmegen!

Epic food and very warm, homely atmosphere with nice staff

Sometimes you're lucky! In the idyllic part of Nijmegen just under the smoke of the Sint-Stevenskerk towards Waalkade my wife found a gem of an almost vegetarian bar/restaurant, the attractive colorful dishes on the menu have been put together with great care, we have tried various culinary dishes from the menu. In a word, Delicious. In a small restaurant with a casual atmosphere and very friendly staff we enjoyed an evening of the surprising dishes that tasted extremely good. Craft beers, natural wines, ciders and even Sake are also served. This restaurant is definitely worth it, also for people who don't think they like vegetarian, they will be surprised by the tastes and smells. This makes me happy. We heard that on Thursdays there is even live music, what a luxury! Franco James is highly recommended, you immediately notice that the dishes in this restaurant taste like more, this relatively young restaurant could well reach great heights, I would say go and taste all this beauty soon while it is still affordable. We will definitely come back here!

One of the best wine bars in the country, and far and away the best in Nijmegen. Solid wine selection by the glass (sometimes with additional options off the menu), and they really stepped up their food game in recent months, with really creative and flavourful small plates that are just consistently excellent. If you want food though, best to book - been refused food service as a walk in before. The kitchen is about a metre square so it makes some sense.

The friendlies of the staff and the way the place is designed makes it feel like you are at a house party at friend's house <3 Thursday jazz evenings are the best. Also tastiest olives in the city for some reason 🙂‍↕️

We had the chef's menu with Owen who provided us with delicious matching drinks. We had a delicious meal of these very special dishes with beautiful flavors. Small restaurant with its own, in our older eyes, alternative, but cozy atmosphere. The food is really delicious and good. Each dish is a gem in terms of taste and creativity, almost star-worthy. You wouldn't immediately expect that when you first enter. They also have a fine collection of natural wines that match the menu well. In short, Franco James is highly recommended!!

Perhaps the least known gem of Nijmegen. They call themselves a bar, but it is actually just as much a restaurant, you can enjoy stunningly delicious food there. I could hardly contain myself from licking all the plates, so delicious!

Beautiful place, every detail in the interior has been carefully considered, everything adds to the atmosphere. A warm, open ('home') atmosphere, due to the colors, furniture and candlelight, good music, but especially because of the good, relaxed staff! Great range of good beer and wine and tasty bar snacks. Once you've been to Franco James, it becomes difficult for an acid & atmosphere lover to go anywhere else... (Even the toilet was nice)

Wonderful spot. Something different from the standard bars in the center. Looking for something more exciting than Triple Karmeliet or Pignot Grigio? Say no more. Unique range of special beers and natural wines. Staff even more friendly than Ivo Niehe.
