The best fries of our holiday in North Holland. We'll definitely be back. Ketchup and other condiments are dispensed from a tap, just like beer elsewhere. Very friendly service. Plenty of outdoor seating for nice weather. Lots of free parking nearby.

My husband and I placed an order last night: 2 fries, 2 bamischijfjes (noodle slices), and 1 frikadel speciaal (fried meatball special). When I got home, there were two empty containers where fries were supposed to be. I drove back. The order was remade without an apology or compensation. I thought that was strange. After a short wait, my order was ready, except for the bamischijfje (noodle slice), which was still in the grease. After another minute, it arrived in its own bag. And you guessed it, it was cold. We threw everything away. The girls behind the counter were practically panicking because of the crowd. They were yelling at Else. Young girls, who were out of control; I felt sorry for them. Yesterday, I immediately sent a message to the Werviaan, but I didn't get a response. Disappointing...

It was ready quite quickly, but the fries were quite salty so I couldn't eat them.

I had the best fish and chips I've had in ages! The fries are cut from fresh potatoes and taste wonderful – and the chips are coated in a paper-thin, well-seasoned breading – truly first-class! A portion costs €10 (plus sauces of your choice), which is a generous portion – what more could you want? Friendly atmosphere, attentive service, plenty of outdoor seating, clean, and no fishy smell whatsoever! Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! 😋

Very tasty food, but the prices are steep. I ordered the Korean sandwich and was more than satisfied, even though the price is a bit high. At this point, the sandwich was €13.50.

Wow, excellent food. Very clean, super friendly, and a meal with six people and a drink for €50. So we'll be enjoying the fried fish with fries, freshly made from potatoes, more often soon. And then some amazing soft-serve ice cream... Amazing!!!!! Went there for the third time today. You're just as great as the first time!!!!! Highly recommended.

A chip shop right on the harbor. It's beautifully located. However, you can only sit outside, as seating is limited. They serve excellent fries and typical dishes like kibbelinge, frikjandell, etc. They also serve a variety of sauces. Everything is filling but delicious, and very good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

I'd like to say upfront that the fries with chili cheese are amazing. I was expecting spicy cheese sauce on the fries. Instead, they came with a sauce made with ground beef, jalapenos, peppers, and cheese sauce (all fresh and delicious ingredients). I thought they were sensational. The fries, in particular, taste really delicious and are cut on-site with a kind of stamping press. The two people behind the counter were very quick, courteous, and friendly. I can definitely recommend them. If we ever vacation here again and visit the Naval Museum, we'll be back. Awesome fries... ✌️😇

Visiting Den Helder without trying the potatoes feels incomplete, the parking area is spacious, close to the museum. Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities for guests here.

The fries and other items were really delicious, but the lady who served us was very unfriendly. If she doesn't like Germans, she shouldn't be working at a chip shop in a tourist hotspot.

The best fries I've ever eaten. Kippeling is also highly recommended; they're very well seasoned and taste great. Bamy is also highly recommended. The food is great here.

We came here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. Super delicious kibbeling and chicken tenders, along with homemade fries. The snack bar is very small, but there are plenty of places to sit outside. Unfortunately, it started to rain, so we turned it into a romantic car dinner. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back.

Sorry, but the staff, including the girl behind the counter, is most busy with her boyfriend. While there are 20 people waiting for their food, her boyfriend always gets something to eat from what is left. And making order after order really doesn't make any progress. But luckily her boyfriend had something to eat. Me too after waiting 50 minutes.

Visfriet was not very nice. It is just some fried, pureed fish in batter. If you want kibbeling, they serve it here under the name Fish & Chips. The wait for 5 portions of visfriet at Saturday 18:00 was ~30 minutes even though there were only 10 orders before us. Staff did not look like they knew what they were selling, or doing.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the Fish & Chips to share. Dutch-style fish and chips. Kibbeling w/ fries. For €10,95 you get 5-6 pieces of kibbeling, a generous serving of fries (= enough for 1 person) and about a tablespoon of sauce. Not enough sauce for the amount of fish and chips. You can order another sauce for €0,70. The fish/kibbeling was tasty. The fries were so-so. Half of the fries were tasty (= hot, salty and crispy) and half of the fries were very soft and oily.

Fish & chips with mayonnaise almost € 11. Only 6 bland tasting pieces of fish (kibbeling) and too little mayo. Might be better off ordering fish and chips separately. However, "coincidentally" the kibbeling isn't on the menu and if you ask about it they quickly respond with: "We have fish and chips". Like I said the kibbeling isn't that good anyway so I won't be back. Fries were good though.

Everything freshly made. The fries are cut directly from potatoes 🥔. Great kibbeling etc. Vegetarian bitter balls, great. Very authentic. Tables only outside, the weather has to be right.

There are snack bars and the Werviaan. Owner Marcel is a perfectionist and you can see and taste that in the products. Each fries are freshly baked for the customer and the choice of sauces is absolutely insane and they are really the tastiest. I only know of a handful of places where they don't use peanut sauce from the brand %$*&^%^$, I really can't count on that, but at least the Werviaan peanut sauce is as it should be. A large fries is also really BIG 😃

Ordered delicious fries with kibbeling today. Cozy nice place, I was helped quickly and friendly and most importantly...delicious version of fries, never had such tasty ones and super delicious kibbeling. I will definitely come by more often!!😃😃

Apparently you can't assume the business is open with an open door and sign on the sidewalk. So if you want to be treated rudely, come by.

We were standing nearby in the motorhome and wanted to grab something quick to eat. The selection is typical of a Dutch snack bar. Fish and chips were extremely good and tasty. The fries are made in-house from fresh potatoes. Simply great.

Fries with Zeeland bacon cost €8.50, but the fries had been refried 3 times, all very hard pieces, certainly not nice and crispy and the Zeeland bacon had flown over them, and for that price

Simple “French fries budde” with a brilliant ambience - in the harbor, near the maritime museum and a stone's throw into the city. It was a pleasure that we will remember for a long time.
