Frietje in Wijk 28 Centrum

Today I was in the city center on a Monday, and almost everything was closed. Luckily, 'Frietje' was open, and what a great experience! The guys there really think about their customers: everything is super clean and tidy. There were already people in, I certainly wasn't the first, and yet everything remained spotless. I had fries with Parmesan cheese and truffle mayonnaise, and they were truly delicious. They gave me a handy bag so I could eat on the go without spilling. Truly top-notch service, and you can tell they care about their customers! Absolutely recommended!!!!

Compliments for both the quality of the food and the friendly service. The guys behind the counter gave us tips on the best places to watch the ADO match (which turned out to be a great tip). The fries were amazing—not your typical snack bar fries—and the Mexicanos were delicious. They also have kebab and shawarma. I'd love to try them sometime.

The experience alone was great. We arrived and it had just rained so when we sat outside they immediately cleaned. They remembered all our orders and so gave everyone the good food. In addition, it was incredibly cheap but still good quality. They also had raspatat, you don't see that often anymore. 10/10

What struck me most is the trust they radiate: you immediately feel welcome and taken seriously, even if you have questions about ingredients or allergies. They provide clear explanations and think along with you - that is rare these days. Everything is also prepared at the right temperature and with care, and you can taste that! A warm atmosphere and perfect service. Compliments to the entire team at Frietje - you do a great job!

Unfortunately, contrary to the many good reviews, the fries were very bad. Dry and inedible. The sauces weren't good either. What a shame.

The food at Snackbar Frietje is really delicious! I used to come here more often when the old owner was still there, too bad he's gone, but to be honest, the new owners are doing really well! They are friendly, hospitable and clearly have a passion for what they do. Delicious burger with fries Truffle mayo!! What I especially like is that the food is freshly prepared in front of you. Everything looks clean and tidy, and the hygiene is top notch. You can tell that they value quality. An asset to the center of The Hague. Definitely recommended 👌

Update About five months ago, the place reopened. Presumably under new ownership. And that was a reason to give it another chance. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Besides, this snack bar is the closest (about 300 meters), so there's a slightly better chance the food will arrive warm, as I'm housebound. Unfortunately, I'm in for a rude awakening, because after numerous attempts, I have to conclude that the service is at least as bad as a year ago. If the sauce isn't missing (and you're gnawing on dry fries), they'll deliver a frozen cold hamburger. It's not Thuisbezorgd's fault, because there's always a warm snack to go with it. No, this place doesn't accept orders via TB after 6:00 PM. So if you order in the afternoon, you expect the food to be warm and nothing missing, at the very least. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm so done with this place. I thought they'd found a way to improve, but every time, something's missing. If it's not the €0.70 sauce, then it's the sandwich that doesn't arrive. And every time, you think: forget it, mistake. It happens. But at some point, you recognize a pattern and realize you're being ripped off time and time again. I'm never ordering anything from here again.

Bah... this is not the quality we are used to. I was really looking forward to the delicious fries with stew, but this was a huge disappointment. We shamelessly order from this place often. It's been a while now. Does this business have a new owner? The fries are clearly frozen fries and the frikandel tastes like a cheap halal frikandel. Previously, we had difficulty finishing medium fries. However, now we got HALF! The portions were halved and still cost just as much! The stew was not bad but certainly different from normal, it is now sweeter with more cinnamon incorporated into it. We didn't eat the food. We will never order from here again!

The fries have always been good here, but now that there is a new owner I think they are even better. Real fresh fries, lots of delicious peanut sauce, home-made hamburger. Top tent!

Owner, that nice lady, is back. Was on vacation. Hallelujah thank God. She sent that guy from the other day packing: Chips are fried properly again, I get real mayonnaise again. Satay and sauce are delicious again. When she's not frying she's cleaning, it's spick and span here. A top place I can recommend it to every snack lover. Go get a tasty snack yourself, try it, let me know.

Came here on Monday evening, 16 Sept, and it was closed. The holiday note was still there which was two weeks overdue so not sure what has happened and why it was closed. Not great for potential customers.

Tasteless food and disinterested service. How on earth can you make satay sauce without any flavor? Pretty clever. From now on, walk a little further.

Had delicious homemade fries here. Crispy and delicious in taste. Can recommend it to everyone. You can also sit inside and the staff is very nice. And easily accessible by public transport in the middle of the city of The Hague/Lutheran Burgwal.

Beetje ongeïnteresseerd personeel, kijken je niet aan als.jr binnenkomt of zeggen geen gedag. Dus maar wachten dan gewoon. 1 stel voor ons en al geholpen. Pad daarna waren wij aan de beurt. Zelfgebakken friet is altijd lekker, niet echt super byzonder gewoon een beetje een tamme ervaring.

De eerste keer werden de frieten, op verzoek, extra knapperig gebakken: heerlijk. Alleen de mayo is te zoet. De tweede keer dat ook gevraagd, maar werd het niet gedaan. Toen ze gebracht werden maar gevraagd of ze alsnog even wat doorgebakken konden worden. Het meisje ging er mee terug naar de keuken, maar de vrouw (eigenaresse?) kwam ze kort daarna weer terugbrengen (zonder dat ze extra gebakken waren). Het was trouwens niet druk op dat moment. Ze er hadden er gewoon geen zin in.

Een zwaar mooie zaak, erg schoon en ziet er echt als een friet zaak uit! Patat wat aan de harde kant, veel scherpe eindstukken. Ik kies liever voor de broodjes en een drankje!

Prima friet, alleen jammer dat ze niet hun prijzen duidelijk maken. Prima als ze de prijzen wijzigen maar moeten ze ook de nieuwe prijs vermelden.

Frietje is een leuke zaak. Friet is lekker en goed gebakken doch laat het hier ook bij. Maw neem geen balletje gehakt. De slechtste van Den Haag! Smaakt naar Unox worst en hoeveel moeite kost het om een lekkere bal gehakt te maken. Voorts zijn alle andere snacks qua kwaliteit vh goedkoopste. Dus....laat het bij een frietje!
