UPDATE 18-07-25 There's been a new owner for a while now. Doortje sold it. The kibbeling (fried fish) isn't as good as it used to be, unfortunately. It's often a bit tougher, drier, and seems less fresh. It's "okay" now. The fries, on the other hand, used to be "okay" at Doortje's, but are now very tasty! The food is ready a bit faster, which is a plus, but maybe it's pre-fried or something!? There are also more seats and it's a bit more inviting. So we'll be back for the fries, but unfortunately not for the fish anymore 😔

Cute little place with a few seats in front of it. Very tasty, thin and well-seasoned breading around the kibbeling, the fries were tasty, but could have used a little more seasoning/salt. The owner was super nice. We'll be back!

Delicious kibbeling and fries! Kibbeling from real cod and super crispy! Fries are made in-house and pre-fried in the morning, so you can taste the old-fashioned creamy potato inside with the fries. And they still have their skin! This will be the place where I would like to catch fish more often! Pleasant and hospitable ladies who talk with love about their pride!

Now we just need to adjust the opening hours: closing at 7 p.m. is a bit early ……………………………………………. F&F never seems to be open again... very unfortunate

Het duurt op vrijdagavond best een tijd voor je aan de beurt bent en daarna ook voordat het eten klaar is, maar dan heb je wel hele goede, lekkere kibbeling of lekkerbek en goede friet! Heel vers, goed gebakken. Ja, ik kom hier zeker nog eens terug!!

A small and a nice corner shop to eat fish & chips (or french fries). We came here for eating fish & chips. For fish there were two choices: We preferred lekkerbek rather to kibbeling. It was awesome. We will definitely come back again.

Wij halen hier al jaren kibbeling. De eigenaresse is erg aardig en behulpzaam. Haar vis is enorm vers en dat proef je. Echt een aanrader! de beste kibbeling die ik tot nu toe heb gegeten.

Dank Tante Google und den hier liebevollen Fotos der Besitzerin und Köchin diesen aus unserer Sicht Geheimtipp in Utrecht gefunden. Super leckere frische Fisch mit Pommes zu fairen Preisen und Portionen. Wir sind hungrig gekommen und waren hinterher Pappe satt. Wer auf Backfisch steht wird hier nicht enttäuscht.

Best fish and chips ever better then all the English ones I have eaten in my life time, what a lovely Individual this lady is exceptionally kind even though my card was not working but was few euros short of the meal wanted. She still went ahead and provided me with best fish and chips I had the good fortune of having,Her place probably the best in Nederland's or even the UK, The batter is crisp not oily chips are perfect dry and not wet as you would get in England. Best FISH AND CHIPS EVER!!! AND ITS SERVED BY THE MOST CHARMING PERSON IN TOWN !!! WORTH THE EXTRA MILE TRAVEL TO THIS PLACE.

New Zealanders, if you're looking for a taste of home: look no further. The fish is so fresh and flaky, the batter is crisp and flavorful, but not too thick—it's everything you want in a local chippie. The garlic aioli (knoflooksaus) is a must with you're order. The people who work there are also so sweet and helpful, cannot recommend this place more.

With her inviting and cheerful demeanor it is nearly impossible to walk away from friet&visje with anything but a big smile. The fries are crispy, the fish is tender and the dips compliment the whole meal well. Dory has a passion for qualitative food and it definitely shows!
